Route 9 Veterans: 2009 Veterans TV Show Guest Schedule

ROUTE 9 VETERANS 2009 GUEST SCHEDULE

Veteran’s TV Show -Produced by Bill Moore and Co-hosted by Larry Corbin

Winners of the 2008 Rika Welsh Community Impact Award presented to “The Route 9 Veterans Forum Cable Access Show” November 15, 2008 who have generated a project – whose impact spoke directly to a clearer understanding of the cause being championed. The content whether modest or large, would reflect the passion of the goal. Because of the use of PEG resources, a greater empowerment of purpose and appreciation of the value of those resources is achieved.  The Northeast Region encompasses Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island and Vermont.

My name is Bill Moore and I Produce the “The Route 9 Veterans Forum Cable Access Show” I retired in 2007 as a Disabled Veteran Employment Representative from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, I am associated with and a member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, Joel H. Prouty Lodge A.F. & A.M., Team Freedom Masonic Military Support Fund, Melha Shriners, Legion of Honor, Operation Homefront/Patriot Chapter, Leicester Lions Club, Armed Forces Committee of Worcester County, Worcester Independent Order of Odd Fellows # 56, Auburn Elks and alumni of Assumption College and Quinsigamond Community College.

My Co-producer is Larry Corbin an Air Force retiree and current Veteran Service Officer for the Town of Auburn, MA. Larry also works as a Local Veteran Employment Representative at the Milford, MA Career Center is also a member of the American Legion Post 279 in Auburn, MA, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Joel H Prouty Lodge of Masons, Melha Shriners, Melha Flyers, and Melha Legion of Honor. The goal of my program is to bring information that will be useful to all veterans and families and we welcome suggestions.

The program focuses on informing veterans and their families of the "core issues" of veteran health care, psychological needs, benefits claims, legislation, employment and training. The Forum also showcases veteran organizations and their programs within the community(s). The Forum looks to develop collaborative relationships with all military branches and returning troops so that all are aware of services available to them. Additionally the Forum recognizes local service members serving in theater and/or returning home.

The format showcases information and/or guest speakers from the Veteran Administrations, VA Outpatient Clinics, Vet Center’s, Veteran Homeless Shelter’s, Veteran Hospice, Helmets to Hard-Hats, Veterans Construction Team, Educational Support Services, Marine For Life, Military Officers Association, The Masonic Military Fund, Troops to Teachers, Women’s Coordinator from the Department of Veteran Services, local Job Specialists and Local Veterans Services Officers and Military Recruiters and Veteran Organizations on the show.We take donations which are used 100% to continue the production of our show. We are raising funds to become 501(c) 3 non-profit foundations and looking for any monies that will help us continue to air this program to all veterans.

We appreciate any financial support and thank you for your consideration, check can be made out to Bill Moore. While working in my veteran position I was amazed at how many of my fellow veterans where not aware of the many benefits and programs available to them and there widows so I decided to volunteer and produce a 1 hour monthly cable access show titled the Route 9 Veterans Forum to talk about veteran issues and invite military and veteran organizations on to discuss there programs. We feel this innovative and informative program of 1 hour is not only needed by the veterans but also by their families. Our reception by over 82 towns and cities and the many military installations who receive this show speaks to that.

Today’s veterans face unique and overwhelming challenges. Larry and I provide complete awareness to all veterans of all eras. We concentrate strictly on veteran’s needs, issues and events. As a Disabled Air Force veteran, I feel that the more information a veteran has on medical and mental health benefits, employment, returning to work and other issues, the better off they are and their families.

THE ROUTE 9 VETERANS FORUM PROVIDES ALL THAT AND MORE. We have the following guest appearing on our show in the coming months and we encourage you to check your local cable listing for the day and time our current show is being aired in your community.  If your Town or City is not airing this program please forward the full address for town or city cable station and contact person and I will add them to our mailing list of 85 Massachusetts Cities and Towns, Military Installations around the world and in Theatre of Operations and USA!
