Thank you Ted Hayes. You have been a true inspiration for The Veterans Revolution and an American Patriot extrordinnaire. It was America's loss when uninformed citizens failed to elect you over Maxine Waters in this last Congressional race. Nonetheless, you have done more for America's Military Veterans than all the poltical-crats have done combined. Thanks for all that you have done and continue to do. Duty, Honor, Country.

Actually, I intended to say concerning Zev Yaroslavski and General Shinseki to do their DUTY and end the rule of special interests, conflicts of interest, and the prostituting of the sacred land deeded to our Veterans by in 1888.

In doing their Duty to our Country, these great gentlemen will HONOR the memory of so many of our courageous men and women who have suffered harsh training and carried out their Duties, and of the millions more who were/have been, are being wounded for life (physically and mentally), shedding their hot blood in bitter combat and even loosing their only very precious life that we may live free.

Also, the DUTY of Mr. Yaroslovski, General Shinseki to help secure and protect the future of present and future US Military Veterans.

Carry-On!

On behalf of my military family, I salute Bob Rosebrock and his band of "special forces" that gathers at the "Bunker Hill" of the ongoing war to secure the rights our United States Military Veterans everywhere they may be.

While I did not serve in the Military (* the closest I got was all of my teens years in the Boys Scouts - Troop 429 located on the Army base of Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland), three of my brothers did, two being "legs" in the Army and one being a para trooper.

My father, was in the segregated US Army's Black Buffalo Division that fought the Nazis during World War II and later in the Korean War...he was seriously wounded in both conflicts spilling his own blood and taking that of our enemies who threatened us all.

Therefore, it is my duty to stand with Bob and his howling "commandos" on Sunday afternoons at the "Gate of Shame" on Wilshire and San Vicente Blvd. in defense of our Veterans National Home Land in Brentwood.

Along with those brave Military Veterans who faithfully stand together with Bob, I call on the Hon. Zev Yaroslavski and General Eric K. Shinseki, to end the rule of special interests, conflicts of interest, and the prostituting of the sacred land deeded to our Veterans by in 1888.

In doing so, these great gentlemen will honor the memory of so many of our courageous men and women who have suffered harsh training and carried out their duties, and of the millions more who were/have been, are being wounded for life (physically and mentally), shedding their hot blood in bitter combat and even loosing their only very precious life that we may live free.

Also, Mr. Yaroslovski, General Shinseki will help to protect the future of present and future US Military Veterans.

As an activist for the Homeless, I have experienced too many of our Veterans dwelling in the filth and degradation of homelessness in the streets of Los Angeles. No one in the United States should live such an existence, most especially our United States Military Veterans.

I lend my voice to yours, Bob Rosebrock and his valiant "troop" along with the growing Numbers of American patriots who are presently fighting and millions more to come that will preserve our United States Military Veterans National Home Land.

Thank you for your participation

By the way, what is so beautiful about the slur and insinuation of "Beauty, Honor, Country" instead of the noble "Duty, Honor, Country."

Instead what is being done to our United States Military Veterans is blatantly UGLY.

I suggest readers forward Mr. Rosebrock's column to friends as well as to their congress reps. Voicing your support for rescission strengthens Rosebrock's message that's it's not too late to restore the Home and its land to uses more beneficial to veteran health.

Sadly when it comes to the big bucks and doing whats right, money always wins. This is not the only section of our country that is being turned over to the developers. San Diego Ca. Navy recruit training was shut down and the land turned over to developers. Gulp Port Ms. VA hostipal had several acres of land, all turned over to private enterprise. I think if you look all ovet the USA, if there is prime real estate available owned by a goverment agency, the real estate developers get it for a song. I think if someone dug deep enough that you would see a lot of corruption by the people who should be representing us.

I also agree with Francisco Juarez comments. The West Los Angeles VA Medicial Center not fully being used the way it should be. Parking buses is not helping veterans. There are many Veterans out there and they need help.

Whoever voted a 1 should have had the guts to make a comment. This effort to expose the biggest and most expensive scandal in the history of VA land-use is the kind of patriotism that goes far beyond placing a magnetic ribbon on your vehicle. Unfortunately, those who do land-grab the "HOME" are wealthy, well-connected and have their noses so high in the air they would drown in a drizzle. The very woman who leads this pack of dogs has personalized license plates that stand for "open space". Now, how in-your-face is that. We the Veterans stands to challenge anyone and any community that does not realize that by land-grabbing today, you, not only, negatively impact the quality of service that WWII, Korean War, Vietnam War, Desert Storm and Gulf War Veterans could have received, you are robbing returning and future generation Veteran patients (yes, there will be more Veteran patients) of the precious land resource, the "quietude", necessary to house and sustain quality, gender specific, facilities that will be used to cure PTSD (hig suicide rate), the psychological causes of homelessness, head trauma, Agent Orange symptoms and the many ailments NOT addressed by today's VA. Today's VA bureaucrat is more concerned, it seems, to act as a real estate agent and cram all services onto a postage stamp because the rich and famous want to doll the "gateway" of their community up by trying to enforce public administration policy, 101, "mitigation of open space" onto the very people that defended the freedoms, including the right to be rich, that this country stands for.
Join the cause, your silence is being used against Veteran patients at the "HOME" in West Los Angeles!

Thank you Mr. Rosebrock for such an informative article. The whole West Side of Los Angeles looks with envy at all that land just sitting there. If "they" could only get control of it, they drool with the profit potential.

Remember fellow Veterans a few years ago when a developer offered to move "all" the graves for no charge? Move them to the Palmdale area so the West Side could have more Condos and golf courses.

I have a favor to ask: if anyone is familiar with the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA) please contact me at davidbischoff@ca.rr.com We need to know what transpired and why. Sixteen acres for a Public Park is not acceptable. Never!
