I am a united states army veteran. I took the oath to uphold and defend the u.s. constitution in 1981. I still remember this oath, and I am still willing to defend the constitutional liberties which we were all born with. I am not now, nor have ever been a terrorist, and I have yet to meet any ex-serviceman/or woman who claimed to be an active terrorist. (Who are the real terrorists anyway?)

I thank god that I fit into just about every group of radicals listed by the DHS list> I served 8 1/2 years in the army, served my community as a police officer for 22 years, am progun, prolife.
There is a movement in Texas to secede from the Union, this DHS crap is another reason to add to the grievances that Texas has.
I love this country but is it love of country to let the reigning regime to run amok over the states for socialism, and payback to union bosses?
to fix the economy with money that doesn't exist?
I think not.

Duh! DHS was created under Bush. The Department of Homeland Security is non-partisan, it doesn't care whether you're left or right, it is Tyranny. Liberty requires us all to assert our God-given, constitutional rights, and for all of us who have taken an oath to protect and defend the Constitution with our lives, the time may soon be upon us when Obama-crazed military and/ or police engage in anti-American behavior and the domestic enemies will truly be them but they are minions to the true power here in this country and that is the power of the private Federal Reserve System. Arrest the bankers and America is free again.

I'm fine with this. If DHS (invented by Bush) wants to consider me a threat to national security because I'm a veteran, I really don't care.

"People should not be afraid of their governments. Governments should be afraid of their people."

We're doing it right.

Neither Janet Napolitano, head of DHS, nor Barack Obama (or Barry Soetero, or whatever his name is-Where's that valid birth certificate?) have either been in any branch of the U.S. Military. They have not had the experience of it, which is leading them both to make some very poor major decisions. Just from this one HUGE incorrect judgement, both should be removed from office due to their lack of experience!

I heard just a little of the interview with Stewart Rhodes and the idea of Oath Keepers. I am going to listen to the whole interview again later tonight.

I have been thinking of ways that the American people could hold Congress accountable to the Constitution and Bill of Rights and I think my idea is feesable if others will pic the ball up and run with it.

Ron Paul had "Meet Ups" and raised quite a bit of money. He also learned how many young people had the good sense to support him. What if there were "Meet Ups" like that across the US where "Oath Keepers" in each state came together (in each state) and organized others to investigate their representative. They could donate a little money and hire private investigators and attorneys. Form a class-action law suit that would impeach them or put them in jail for treason. The power is still in the people but the people have to exercise in in such a way that they put TEETH back into the supreme law of the land. Namely, the Consitution and Bill of Rights.

They could prosecute them in their own state courts, which is where they should be prosecuted. Only, I would NOT rely on the attorney general in each state to bring charges against the ones that have broken their oaths of office. There may be collusion involved. That is where the class action suit would come in. It's effectiveness would of course be determined by the amount of evidence and the attorneys backing the suit.

Just a thought but I think it could be an effective one if enough volunteers pitched in and started networking.

I would seriously pray about it and definetly include God. Yes, we definetly need to put God back into our country.

Where were you people when the FBI report came out last year and it said much worse that this! it says in part: the FBI found that extremists are recruiting military veterans to their organizations and also encouraging their followers "to infiltrate the military as 'ghost skins,' in order to recruit and receive training for the benefit of the extremist movement."

You hit that one on the head with our oath we take. Not implying anything with this comment, but we did take the oath to Defend the Constitution. Which now according to our wonderful administration, you will basically be part of their lookout because your not defending them, instead your defending the Constitution. Lets face it, it just boils down to them wanting harder "Gun Laws".

Add my name to the list but as a disgruntaled LEFT wing threat. I am not a terrorist nor a raceist, nor a NAZI, nor a militia member but I own two legal guns and I know how and whan to use them. I was raised in the country hunting and fishing so I also am not an animal rightest just a human omnivor who likes to not think of Bambi when a deer steps out of the woods in front of me. This report is something to hang on the necks of underlings who don't have their heads out of the darkness of their inerworkings and need to be less afraid of veterans and more afraid of the DVA making a Vet crazy with their blue tape which is just as pernicious as the red tape we have been faceing for years.

Add my name on the list, hell it's probably at the top anyway. Most of us disgruntled vets weren't disgruntled till we had to deal with the VA. I have on an audio tape a VA patient rep here in cleveland telling me about this Homeland security thing three month or so ago.

Please also add my name to DHS list as a veteran of two services and combat veteran, gun owner, Christain, pro-life, conservative, supporter of the Fair Tax. I'm sure there is some others I could add to the list. Plus I did not vote for Obama.

As a republican disabled veteran I was just tickled pink when I first saw this reported on Lou Dobbs (CNN). Just imagine if we veterans were actually taken seriously 30 years ago. I’d bet the government would have forgotten their correct premise of saving tax payer’s money with inadequate VA funding. If we are actually considered a threat, now would be a good time to ask: How can the VAMC’s not become a tax payer’s nightmare, and somehow acquire the funding where VA Management will no longer have to mandate overmedication instead of actual treatment? Presently VA doctors would-be considered terrorists’ if they actually did their job as doctors instead of just overmedicating most veterans…

Could someone ensure my name is added to DHS. After all, I am a disabled vet supportive of vet issues; as well as a Pro-Life, fiscally conservative candidate for Congress. I even have a political blog related to fiscal conservatism at New Style Kansas Politics.

Thomas E. Scherer
Candidate, U.S. Congress (KS-03)

Please ensure DHS adds me to the list. Matter of fact, just send them over to my house so I can speak with them personally.

So,after devoting 14 years of my life to the u.s.army and getting a secret clearance and a few medals,I am now considered a potential terroist because I am a U.S.Veteran?What kind of BS is that? What was the DHS thinking when they issued that assessment?ooppsss they werent thinking, they were talking out of thier collective ass's because thier head should have known better!I am not now,nor have I ever been a terrorist,I am however a free thinking American,I do believe in up holding the U.S.Constitution and I do believe in the right to bare arms,so I guess if the DHS wants to classify me as a terrorist I reckon that that is thier perogative..um..maybe some one should investigate the DHS for un american activities, and pejoritive statements about a class of american citizens...that might even fringe on being a violation of our civil rights.Veterans should not be classified nor assessed as a group,we are all individuals.
