So I have been told that having a VA loan is not good for modifications because they are not recognizing the HAMP (Home Affordability Modification Program). I have been trying for the past year to get a modification and my bank has denied it (I believe half the time they never even looked at the newly submitted documents). I was told by my loss mitigation department that my servicer did not participate in the Obama Plan. We as Veterans or Active Duty get a raw deal when we have to move due to relocation orders and our homes can't sale or we really want to keep our homes but our pay has change due to the move.

I have been trying to get the va loan on my home modified for some time now ad al I seem to do is run into stumbling blocks. My modification has been denied twice so far but noone seems to be able to tell me exactly why it was declined! There appears to be a gap in the information needed for how homeowners should proceed on getting a modifiation done.
