A Fake Warrior and the "Wall That Heals"

September 28, 2009 by Larry Stimeling · 50 Comments

imposter_01By Larry Stimeling Staff Writer

James Richard Lyons is a hero. He joined the Navy in 1964 at age 17. James went through some of the military’ most rigorous training schools, including;

SEAL Training Force Recon, Jungle Warfare Training in Panama, and Special weapons in Quantico.

James served 4 tours in Vietnam and attained the rank of GySgt. He received a Silver Star and a Purple Heart. That is a lot for a four year enlistment.

But there is a problem, A BIG PROBLEM!!!

James Richard Lyons now drives the rig that hauls the Wall That Heals around the country. The Wall That Heals is owned and operated by the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund (VVMF). The VVMF hired Richard last year to do the driving because the former drivers retired.

The VVMF should have done a better job at selecting a driver. It seems Richard may not be all that he claims to be. His page on what was classmates.com says he graduated high school in 66. see

http://www.classmates.com/directory/public/memberprofile/list.htm?regId=8708415532

Yet he claims to have enlisted in 64.

There is no record of his receiving a Silver Star. In fact there is no record of his serving in the military at all according to the POWNETWORK.org at http://www.pownetwork.org/phonies/phonies554.htm

Buy Fake Warriors on Amazon.comThere  is no need for me to go over any more of the claims of Richard Lyons or the counter claims of the POWNETWORK and others. You can see them for yourself at the sites above.

What we need now is to request, NO DEMAND, that the VVMF investigate the military history of its employee and if it verifies that Mr. Lyons is a fraud, Remove him from his position. In addition the VVMF should assist the Federal Athorities in prosecuting Lyons under the Stolen Valor Act if it finds he is representing himself as something he is not.

It has been stated that only one in five men who claim to be Vietnam Veterans actually served in Vietnam. The prosecution of those who are now claiming to be something they are not must be relentless and to the fullest extent of the law. I cannot imagine why someone would want to claim to have gont through what we did in country and when we came home. Then again, it was wanna-bes who made things bad for us at home!

    Hey Larry!

Here’s another side of this story. Just a few weeks ago, one of my LRRPs on another network got an email from an E9 who had heard my new 4 patriotic songs I just finished recording in Nashville.

    http://www.rassio.com/songs/Nashville.php

Well, this E9 went a step further. He Googled: LT Bobby Ross. About a thousand web sites came up on me, many of them ‘pirates’ who sell my music without paying me one single cent in royalties. And hundreds of other sites that offer everthing about me from nuts to bolts.

Well, this E9 decided to ‘pretend’ that he was an expert “Wanna=be” hunter, so he invaded my privacy and searched for LT Bobby Ross in the 101st Airborne Division in 1968 and 1969 and could not find any record of me, so he got back to the network that I was a worthless Wanna=Be and that I should be killed, but tortured first, and then dumped into a toilet, Bla-Bla=Bla!

Well, this piece of dog crap was immediately contacted by men, and I called him a homosexual, and told him it was up to him to prove he was not! I would not tell! Then, I told him I’d bet him $50K that I was a Screaming Eagle and if he was so sure I was not, then he’d be a Big Man with an extra $50K in his pocket.

Well, this MORON got back to me and the network and said I was way out of line and that I had insulted him. And then he proceeded to tell us all a bunch of crap about LRRPs in Vietnam that was totally ridiculous proving moreso that he was an IDIOT and was also lower than whale poop at the bottom of the ocean.

I did remind him the the Privacy Act prevents people from prying into other people’s private life. Criminal and Civil actions can be taken against this type of invasion.

Finally, I asked this Stupid PUKE if Mark Twain was the real name of Samual Clemens?

Be careful on this. That’s all I can say. And, if some nut says he’s Santa Claus, then maybe he is?

I read your article with interest and have a friend that was a LRRP with the 101st. He spent 4 tours in Nam although I don’t think any were completed because of comming down with Malaria each tour. He is a good friend since Jr. High School. His name is Charles “Butch” Hemmenway. I think that is how you spell his last name. It may be with an I though. Graduated High School in 1965 and went into the service. I would like to do something nice for him but can’t get much from him about his service although he has shown me a couple of photos etc. Any help you can give me is appreciated.

  2. Dennis Rick says:

Well, as far as high school goes on “HIS” classmates. I join the Army in Aug 1965, But on my classmates I put down I finish in 1967, Why?

Because if I were to have finish high school that would have been the year, and all the people I knew way back then are still my friends and have invited me to the 67 class reunion regardless of me finishing it or not. (maybe because there isn’t that many around anymore, move or die, or just not interested in attending).

So the classmates thing doesn’t hold water, its what the military records say, and then one still has some say so..for records have been lost many a time. Per example; At one time I held a Top Secert SCI clearance and when I retired out of military and the Federal Government it was Secert Final. To this day the NSA and FBI say I don’t exist and I have the paperwork from them to back it up.

In 1984 I wrote to NSA for any and all info on me, they sent me a book, I had every interview they did for any of my clearances (just black out SS) and with whom and where. They had some of my medical records (one where I was in the hospital with the 25th Med, 25th Inf Div for Battle Fatiugue (sp). But through the yrs I either lost, threw away or put away some of the records so well I still can’t find them, but I also have moved at least a dozen times since then).
So in 2003 I started trying to round them all up again and now I don’t exist by any of those agency. Maybe because I was in the Rangers for awhile. Or they retired them to file 13. I don’t know, but they say I don’t exist.

Now I did get my records medical and personnal from St. Louis, but they no way had in them what I got from NSA in 1984.
To any secuitry ageny I just don’t exist…And like I said I can prove it, I have kept and will keep their response that I don’t exist and the appeals that I put in.

So shit does happen..its rare but it does..and I have seen fellow LRRPS in Vietnam get up to 11 Bronze Stars with V device and 13 purple hearts. He is a cop now in Texas…I know pently more who have recieved very high awards in their short 3-4 yr carreer in the Army.

I also have seen and were caught (a guy who went by the name of Boom-Boom Jackson CWO Medic S.F. claim type) he had us all fooled for years on one of the Rangerlists I’m on Yahoo, until the day a CWO4 Cantrell came along and call him out and we found out he was a fraud the whole time…It just takes ONE, Just ONE to catch a fraud.

Some get away with it all their lives, some don’t…But one thing is for sure, if your a fraud you are always looking over your shoulder and no has your back.

    • Jim Doran says:

I concur with Dennis as far as HS goes. I quit school in 63 and enlisted. I graduated from night high school in 68 while stationed in CA. However, on classmates.com, etc. I’m listed with the Class of 64, because that was my class from kindergarten into my junior in HS.

    • Trish says:

I am married to someone in a similar position to you. No records to prove where he was nor what he did. As far as he knows they are still all classified as top secret. He will not even tell me. Unfortunately there are a lot of wannabes out there, but, for those like you and my husband who know what they did and are now suffering the consequence of not being able to tell especially when it comes to VA disability claims I feel very sorry for.

      • Telemachus says:

My brother died while I was out of town and lost most of my possessions. The NPRC was fantastic, down to actual jump manifests. Just the claim of secret ops is a HUGE red flag. Especially about Vietnam, since there is NOTHING left that is classified. Don’t get me wrong, there are black bag jobs. Its just those involved never even HINT at them and generally retire to a think tank and hold down great jobs. http://hubpages.com/hub/Was-EVERYONE-in-the-Navy-a-SEAL
Wartime or not, all training is documented and a paper trail is established. Please read “Stolen Valor” or go to http://www.pownetwork.org

    • Sun says:

      Trish
I am married to a man with the same issue. He said he signed a piece of paper that he would never divulge any information. He has kept to this and now when he/we could use and he deserves a rating or pension or disability he can’t get it. I will fight tooth and nail for him to get what he deserves. How many times must these guys who were forgotten by their own country continue to be forgotten when they are still loyal 37 years later.

    • Annie says:

      Sun,

If you are going to fight tooth and nail for your man… then DO IT!!!!!!!
Go Ahead….. Find facts that support his tour… they ARE THERE for a veteran that served… Even if your man had his Troop’s records burnt, even if there are NO records AT ALL for when he served, even if the battle that he was in was covered up, even if it is something that ‘they weren’t really there’ kinda situation… no matter how hard it is… YOU WILL FIND SOMETHING TO SUPPORT YOUR MAN’S TOUR. I KNOW. I FOUND SOMETHING THAT WILL SUPPORT EVERY ONE OF MY MAN’S STATEMENTS…EVERY ONE.

Your man signed a piece of paper that says he won’t divulge information? What are you afraid of? Really? It’s been 40 years. *%#$ a piece of paper. *$# the government that would do that. I am sick and tired of hearing from all these people that I meet that signed a piece of paper to not divulge information. Besides, where does loyalty belong? To a f’d upped government?… or to TRUTH?

SUPPORT YOUR MAN AND FIGHT TOOTH OR NAIL… because that’s what it takes…. IF YOUR MAN WAS THERE AND IF HE IS TELLING THE TRUTH, YOU WILL FIND SOMETHING! IT’S NOT EASY. BUT DO IT.

ALL OF YOU WOMEN… IF, IF YOUR MAN SERVED, YOU WILL FIND SOMETHING… sometimes it takes the tenacity of a pit bull, laser focus and being relentless… but it can be done.

(Then, when you find everything, the VA will STILL deny them, because… I haven’t heard it here yet….??????)

    • Annie says:

      Sun,

I just reread your post. You said 37 years ago. That’s a very hard time to research. If you need help, I will help you… but loyalty has to be to truth, not Nixon’s Administration. His is gone now. Please listen. I’m still skeptical of these papers signed to not divulge info. But, that time was covered up so badly…. so… let’s go from there.

    • Annie says:

      Sun,

In doing my own research, I would not put anything past Richard Nixon and Henry Kissinger. IF a paper was signed to not divulge info during the Nixon Administration – the right thing to do is talk. Please watch this. It will open anybody’s eyes a lot to what I am saying. Nixon, 37 years ago shut down headquarters in Vietnam just before it got even uglier there. The very small amount of Administration Jr. staff left behind had DIRECT ORDERS FROM NIXON. I know what I am talking about.

  3. Simon A says:

Why would anyone want to be a Vietnam veteran? Wasn’t it bad enough the way we were treated after the war? Even today the VA wants us to be dead and buried, not to mentioned that we have been squeezed out of the que for healthcare. Twice decorated with Purple Hearts does not even buy me a cup of coffee at the While House. My point those veterans who wanna be Vietnam veterans go get a life or get your own war so the VA can screw you over. It is not bad enough that even as veterans you have to wait to see a doctor that wastes your time by telling you jokes.

  4. Ric W. says:

The first thing that jumped out at me was he stated that he was a Gunnery Sargent. The Navy had no such rating! If he was a non-commissioned officer, then he was a petty officer.

  5. Dan Botsford says:

I’m a tattoo artist by trade and theres lots of wanabees out there. I’ve had guy’s come in for tats that told me they were delta force and not know the most mundane points of Army life. I understand the motivation with all the movies and tv depicting heroics, but for once I agree with Dennis and would never want to be looking over my shoulder for lying about unearned honors and it does take away from the real guys because civilians believe some of the B.S. these clowns spew.

  6. Terry Lee says:

I don’t know about all of this. I guess that I will never understand it at all. I was not anything special in the AF, just another Airman who fixed radar equipment. I have some friends that were Marine and Army combat Veterans. They earned the medals that they wore, and no one can take that away from them. There is a very redeeming thing about being and accepting who you really are, and not stealing someone else’s thunder. Guys like the young man in the article, are one of the things that can still anger me to the bone. Most of us have gone for a beer, and had someone sit down next to us and start bragging about what he did in Nam. I always find an excuse to leave. Real heroes don’t brag like that. Whew, I feel better now. :)

    • Venay Money says:

You hit the nail on the head. Real heroes don’t brag.
We had a friend for 25 years and we did not know until his memorial service that he had received 4 purple hearts. His wife and he had only been married 10 years and she didn’t even know. He went into WW2 did his job, came home got a job and also was our VFW Service Officer for 50 years. He never bragged about what he had done.

  7. Debbie says:

Please refer to the response by Trish, she really says it all.

  8. Skeptical Sam says:

Lyons MUST produce a DD-214 to substantiate his claims or be removed from this most solemn and sacred duty.

    • POWNET says:

And the DD214 MUST be authenticated by NPRC before it is believed. Have seen dozens and dozens of fasified DD214’s, esp since the blanks went up for sale a few yrs ago.

  9. Pirate says:

    Trish,

I am sorry that you are apparently being duped. However, this “classified” thing is one of the oldest tricks that posers use to dupe people. Read the book Stolen Valor. By claiming it was “classified” a person can spin whatever tale they want and no one will question it except for those that know better.

As for Mr. Lyons. The VVMF needs to demand that he provide legitimate proof of his claims and they need to ensure one way or another what the truth is. For those who have actually served in the military we can spot the fairy tales rather quickly and this surely is one.

    By Trish on 2009-09-29 19:31:26

    • Trish says:

      Pirate,

I am not being duped. I wrote with reference to things that can be proved yet can’t be spoken of. As per the post that I originally replied to.

    • Homerboy says:

Trish – “He will not even tell me” tells it all. He’s got nothing to tell. Go to the library and get “Stolen Valor” and wake up.

    • Colmurph says:

I spent about 20 of my 35 years in the military in Special Forces. Some of the stuff I did was classified but my DD-214 is NOT CLASSIFIED. My ORB shows ALL units of assignment from the time I entered service along with my job title; i.e A-team Commander, B-team S-4, S-2, DCSSO etc. My OER’s list my job title/position and describe in general terms what I did for a iiving (not mentioning anything classified) and also describe how well I did as compared to other officers of the same rank in the same or similar jobs. There is absolutely NOTHING classified in any service member’s 201 file. As soon as I hear the “Classified” excuse for someone who is unable to produce a DD-214 all the alarms start ringing!

    • Garry says:

I am a Vietnam veteran (with 22 years of military service) and have lived and worked in Vietnam in the tourist industry for 13 years now and I have heard it all before.

A lot of veterans do come back through here but so do a lot of fakes and one of the oldest stories to cover up the tall tales is “I was on a secret mission and no records exist”

Now everyone, on entry to any service had a service number / regimental number etc.. when they joined they joined with they people, other people had names, the people they worked with had names, the units they were in were operating in specific areas, these units had commanders and they also had names.

If the service numbers cannot be remembered, place names or the names of fellow veterans who can substantiate the story also cannot be remembered and the line comes out “it was secret” its a pretty fair bet that no combat related service was ever undertaken..

  10. Steve says:

As a VSO, now retired, I saw a number of things in that position. For all those wanna bees, remember this. Eventually you will leave this earth. If your spouse or family wants Purple Heart, Silver Star, Bronze Star, DSC or DSM or whatever on your bronze marker,….you better have proof. Otherwise, your spouse or family will be very embarassed about your BS that you have led them to believe and now it finally shows all concerned. Oh yeah, if you have in your possession the medal, that doesn’t mean squat. You must have documentation to show or prove it and using ‘classified’ to your family doesn’t cut it.

  11. Byron Skinner says:

    Good Evening Folks,

A Gunny in the Navy? This story has bull sh** written all over it. Has their even been a bullsh**er that wasn’t Army, Airborne Ranger Special Forces that did SOG missions that are still to secret? Is the a Marine bullsh**er that wasn’t in Force Recon and sniper who did secret missions by himself?

By the number of you who are still amazed by the fools it would suggest that lived the past 40 years in some bubble of sorts. The have been around since the early days of the war, still are still around, and will be long after all real Vietnam Veterans have died.

Then there are the SEALS I guess by the number of guys who claim to have been seals their must have been thousands of them in Vietnam.

You can still run into the select individuals in VA PTSD clinics today, trying to game the system. To their credit most of the young VA medical personal have become very adapt at culling them out.

    ALLONS,
    Byron Skinner

  12. Mike M. says:

The guy is a wanna be Rambo. Never heard of one guy going through all those schools.Special weapons at quantico? Bull Shit. Seal training then all the way to force recon? Never heard of it! MY HERO!

  13. No Proof says:

There is still reasonable doubt. everyone is relying on websites linking eachother. that isnt fact. thats fox’s version of fact. do you really think the vvmf dosent check their employees??

    • Pirate says:

      Brother,

It happens all of the time. There are elected officials, judges and other that have have lied about their service and gotten away with it for many years. In case you aren’t aware- SOCNET is a website whose core members are veteran special operations personnel and some of the personnel there served during the same time frame. Common sense says that you cannot make Gunny in 4 years- it just isn’t possible.

By the way if you think that the system is fool proof check and see just how many people have used phony docs to get VA benefits. It’ll blow your mind. Unfortunately this douche has no only hurt himself but has cast lies so far that ultimately his own family will be embarassed and humiliated because of it.

  14. Wow says:

What a maroon. All that training and a gunny in the Navy. He should have realized that E-7 in the Navy is a Chief Petty Officer.

Was he in the Navy or Marines?

Yes, I trained with a SEAL Team, but that doesn’t make e a SEAL.

Did any oe look at the Purple Heart Registry?

  17. EDWIN CROSBY III says:

ATTENTION THOSE WHO CLAIM NO RECORDS, OR UNABLE TO PROVE SERVICE !!!!! DID YOU GET PAID ??? If so, run down your PAY RECORDS as I did, ARMY & AIR FORCE ACCOUNTING & FINANCE, Denver, Colorado. When mine came, said a top, COMBAT ZONE, TAX FREE. THINK ABOUT THIS !! You must have gotten paid, filed IRS return while in military. PRESTO !!! Where there is a will, there is a way. Thank you, thank you, Ed is leaving the building.

    • Liz says:

Thanks. I’d like to add: DO IT YOURSELF as well, if your service VA rep. or whoever says they are going to do it for you.

  18. To Bad says:

Most I know who were in combat don’t discuss it. Most their medals are under the house in a box and one would only find out they were in combat if they run into another brother/sister who served. I can’t imagine living the rest of my life in a lie. I find life is hard enough and if I am going to lie it would be to the wife about the money I spent. I find my life is hard enough as it is to live with shadows. Steve you are correct about the family after the cheater is gone. His/her family is stuck with the lie. I attended a wake a few years back and boy was the wife surprised to find she was married to an audio visual librarian vice an Airborne Ranger. As a combat veteran myself, I find it best to just smile. Because we all know when bear is involved you might hear your story again with someone else’s name attached to the event.

    • Jaz says:

Bad, maybe I have been wrong all these years but I did talk about the war. I didn’t see the “toe to toe” action that so many did but I saw enough to know that I hated it with every fiber of my being. I wanted people to know the gory details, the horror, the absolutely sinfull waste of it all.

I wanted people to see it in the most graphic ways possible so they would be so repulsed, so outraged, that they would think very long and hard about starting another.

I guess that I didn’t tell enough people, because here we are embroiled to two “new” ones. Sending children off to fight something their elders started.

STOP THE DAMN WAR AND BRING OUR KIDS HOME, NOW!!!

The people read the newspapers every day hoping to learn the truth about what is going on. The newspaper is a private business and they write the news in a manner that will sell the most. The one part of the newspapers that our forefathers thought so important that the newspaper was given constitutional protection was the opinion of the people. This was because in the building of a nation the people’s voices must be heard to point out wrongs in government. When the people’s voices are silent because editors do not like a response or question the opinion of the people because it is not the idea that the editor wants to portray it is no longer the people’s rights above all else. Newspapers have gone so far as to interferer in an election. Writing tainted articles where the truth is spoken but in a manner to enrage the people in hating and believing some one is a danger to society. The newspapers control what the people have a chance to read. People write responses to newspaper articles every day but these responses are censored if not what the editors believe is correct. Should the newspapers print the other side even if it makes the editor look like a jerk? A well-informed public starts with a newspaper willing to print the facts no matter whom they hurt. The truth is a powerful weapon that the people must be allowed to read uncensored.
Ask your self why would any newspaper want to print an opinion such as this when it questions their ethics. Where do we start in bring back a nation to where the peoples’ rights are above all else.

  21. Denise C says:

I have one of those issues as well. I was in school when I got activated for Desert Storm all my records have me graduating from Surgical Tech school the same time I was in Reserves. The school later made me test out of the rest of my clinicals but graduated me the rest of my class. They did this because of my service and extenuating circumstances of being activated for Desert Storm. A lot of people enlisted before graduating from high school during Vietnam and then lied about their ages and subsequent graduation dates. In order to claim preference you have to supply the VA with paperwork proving your medals that you have received and also your DD214 if he didn’t have that he could not have gotten the points. Some of my classmates didn’ graduate but I still consider them classmates after a while or number of years it is hard to remember exactly who was in your class at graduation time they coud be mistaken.

You reminded me that I joined the MC when I was 17 I graduated high school in Okinawa just before being deployed to Thailand. I graduated with my class by taking my senior classes through the mail. so it is possible.

PS people tell me all the time that I was never a U.S. Marine. it is their way of diverting attention from the truth.

Nothing surprises me about a $crugg$ connected organization. All the money he has made regarding his wall and he can’t afford a buck to verify an employee! The Wall That Heals…there are more than several “walls” out there and they all heal. His just makes more money than the rest. Hats off to POWNETWORK, they do great work. I’m glad I just made ice cream in the Nav!

    • Gary Chenett says:

      Welcome Home Rod!!!!
Wow did you ever hit the nail on the head about Scruggs,
      Great Observation!!!!!!!

Now he is trying to con people into spending “A proposed” 20 Million Dollars on a insane visitors centers at the Wall in DC.
      Notice I said proposed.

He doesn’t have the money yet ( he won’t tell you that, he wants you to think it’s a done deal and to donate more) and please before you send him any $$$ give the money to a local Sick Veteran and /or their family

All of the memorabilia from the wall is and has been housed safe and secure in the Smithsonian for years. So why do we need to dump 20 Million on this Visitors Center?
You don’t suppose Scruggs might be on the payroll of this 20 Million as a Adviser, Consultant or whatever?
You know the same way he is on the payroll of the Wall.
I have written him many times asking for a breakdown of the proposed budget for this Monument to his ego. I have received no answer.

Finally consider how many Sick or dying Nam Vets that 20 Million could feed or the families of Nam Vets who served in the Blue Water Navy and have been refused comp and the spouses of our Brothers and Sisters who just didn’t pick the right cancer or sickness approved by the VA to die from, As a result their families live like people in a Third World Country

Wow! There are more phoney’s on this comments page then you can shake a stick at! Same old argument phoney’s use: “I can’t find my records…the CIA/NSA/FBI/DOD/ (or other alphabet soup agency of the day)cant find my records…” Every single individual serving or who has served in the military has a PAPER TRAIL! DD-214’s are NOT secret, schools are NOT secret, There are NO “secret, sealed records: NONE!

Individual “missions” or combat assignments are NOT recorded in a man’s service record unless they form part of a commendation or award statement. There may be notations relating to “deployments” (these are often referred to as “tours”), but NEVER to any individual “missions”. Any claim to the contrary is pure LIE and there have been several on this comment form with this article!! People buying into this, wives, husbands, gay lovers, are just fooling themselves and hiding behind ignorance: they WANT to believe their “hero” is just that: an unsung hero…but most all are pathetic, weak, worthless liars…for more info on the type of individual that tries this game, head on over to SocNet: as smoeone mentioned above. This board is unlike ANY OTHER and is populated by VERIFIED, VETTED, 100% TRUE vet’s that take crap off of NOBODY! They go after phonies like Rush Limbaugh goes after oxycontin!!! This particular post: http://socnet.com/showthread.php?t=88845 outlines the info you need to make an INFORMED DECISION as to whether an individual is a real “Been There: Done That” or just some lying piece of dog puke trying to pump himself up and look “bad”!

Knowledge is power. Phonies are cowards….

    • al hornbrook says:

i agree with you . all my duty stations, schools, and awards are mentioned in my dd-214 ! my exploits are well documented on the award certificates and they match up with my dd-214 awards .

  25. Mike Havenar says:

I served with George Washington and nearly froze to death at Valley Forge. But the army lost my records so I can’t prove it.

    • Marilyn says:

I needed a laugh after reading all of this stuff. As the kids say nowadays LOL! Or, ROTFLMAO! (I’d tell you what that means but its TOP SECRET.) Thanks! :-)

I sent an email to 2 contacts within the VVMF on the day BEFORE I wrote this article They have not replied.

  27. ClaymoreTheGreat says:

Trust me on this one even if you don’t know me.. View the “Source Document” at the top of this page.. I started it and it is correct.. NO one, absolutely NO one as disputed the documents we have gathered on this phoney..

Also check, http://www.pownetwork.org/phonies/phonies569.htm and see if some of ya’ll think this multi-convicted is what you think he is..

As of yet there has not been a DD-214 found on this POS Scumbag.. A second request has been sent to NPRC..

Not all of the info is listed at http://www.pownetwork.org/phonies/phonies569.htm we are saving crucial information when he is convicted under the “Stolen Valor Act”, and yes he is a criminal..

I have been on this from day one and know what is happening with this POS.. Unless you know the whole story, don’t comment, you ain’t got a clue as to what the whole story is..

Yes, $crugg$ had to let him go because of the embarrasment to the VVMF and all the sponsors of TWTH’s..

$crugg$ is also guilty for not vetting this POS..

A multi-convicted fe3lon carrying the names of 58,000 plus of my Brothers In Arms around the country.. Jesus wept.. … ..

  28. Anonymous Afghan/Iraq Vet says:

Everyone has made valid points as to how to find out information on anyone. Anyone that has served can confirm their service. Every military base hires historians which dedicate all their time to ensure personnel records are kept, and available upon request from a service member. Your name and service number (Social security number) is all that you need, and a valid picture ID. Someone also mentioned checking with IRS… that’s also correct.
I’ve come across a bunch of imposters in my short career in the Army (12 years and still going strong). Many will wait outside Walmart and claim to be in a bad situation, and need your help to get their family food, or are about to be evicted and need your help. BEWARE OF THESE IMPOSTERS!!! I had one claim to be a First Sergeant from Fort Bragg, and I happened to have served in Fort Bragg not long ago, the guy was lying through his teeth… he had the military hair cut, and had ID tags on. Most NCOs never wear their ID tags when not in uniform. When I asked him what unit he was in, he made one up. He saw my DECAL stickers on my car, and that’s why he immediately approached me to ask me for money… he even knew my rank… Staff Sergeant.
These imposters don’t just want the glory, they want to benefit financially.

Hundreds of thousands of servicemen were exposed to asbestos over decades, especially during the period from 1940 to 1980. Asbestos was used in construction of naval vessels as well as shore facilities. All branches of the military used asbestos, which was also widely used in civilian applications. Asbestos can cause mesothelioma. Because this cancer has a particularly long latency period, many servicemen who were exposed years ago are now developing this disease. - Mesothelioma Patient & Family Resources: Mesotheliomahelp is provided by Belluck & Fox, LLP as a comprehensive resource for mesothelioma victims and their families.  The site provides up-to-date information on the latest news and treatment options as well as an easy to use search feature to find local mesothelioma doctors and health care clinics.  - We fight for veterans harmed by asbestos: Veterans with mesothelioma or asbestos-related lung cancer should know they have options: the opportunity to bring a suit against manufacturers and sellers of the asbestos that caused their illness. If you were harmed by asbestos exposure, for example, in ships or military housing, contact Weitz & Luxenberg to get a free case review. - Important Information for Veterans: Asbestos products were often used on military ships and within military housing, and Veterans may have been exposed. Previous exposure to asbestos is the only known cause of mesothelioma, a fatal cancer that has no cure and affects countless Veterans and loved ones.
