I graduated with my class by taking my senior classes through the mail. so it is possible. I was in school when I got activated for Desert Storm all my records have me graduating from Surgical Tech school the same time I was in Reserves. The school later made me test out of the rest of my clinicals but graduated me the rest of my class. They did this because of my service and extenuating circumstances of being activated for Desert Storm. A lot of people enlisted before graduating from high school during Vietnam and then lied about their ages and subsequent graduation dates. In order to claim preference you have to supply the VA with paperwork proving your medals that you have received and also your DD214 if he didn't have that he could not have gotten the points. Some of my classmates didn' graduate but I still consider them classmates after a while or number of years it is hard to remember exactly who was in your class at graduation time they coud be mistaken.
