War against terrorism or Islam?

This article was written immediately after 9/11.  It was our assumption, here in Pakistan, that our friend and ally, the United States had been attacked by terrorists, terrorists we hoped in our hearts were not Muslims, although initial evidence strongly suggested this.

Since that time, much has happened and some things have been questioned.  Though these controversies involving 9/11 still exist and the subsequent wars have brought on a regional destabilization that continues today, we, here in Pakistan, still stand by the people of America and we wish that America stands by us the same way. On many critical times we felt to have been abandoned by our Ally who left us lurching. 

Our concern is not for that friendship or even the lives we are losing fighting this war in Pakistan.  Our concerns are in our joint ability to see truth and accept rational solutions with complete mutual trust. 

I hope this article provide a useful understanding of what I felt and saw at this time and can provide a basis for bridging gaps between, not only distant allies, but views of the world that have become increasingly different.

Terrorism is a menace that the humanity at large is facing and going through its ordeals much worried and sceptical about it. Islam is not for any freak or indiscriminate killing; it condemns such killings very strongly and no Muslim would do it unless feels highly oppressed and victimised. The world trade centre is the latest of the tragedies of a very high magnitude.

Apparently America is leading the world against this plague in a very determined manner but in reality it may have either fallen a prey to some covert operation or it may be engaged in playing the leading role against Islam in a joint strategy. The targets seem to be pre determined; the present exercise may only be an attempt to fabricate it properly so that it becomes palatable by the world at large and a crusade could be launched against Islam.

The whole operation and the machinery that has been geared up without waiting for even a preliminary investigation seems to be a master plan of rallying the non-Muslims on one platform and also bring in as many Muslim states in this alliance as possible. The initial thrust of the Bush administration was so severe that the Muslims were stunned and did opt to cooperate with them; however with the passage of time, the Muslims are realising the sinister designs of the Zionist dominated West as such have begun to distance themselves from it.

Discovering of a copy of the Holly Quran from a taxi and a travel bag allegedly belonging to one of the terrorists all seem to be decoys to mislead the world opinion. Such tactics were employed very successfully by the British during the Second World War against the Germans. All the debates, talk shows, etc that are being conducted on the BBC, CNN and other American channels are not only offensive in nature but an effective tool to build up the case against the Muslims under the guise of terrorism.

CNN on the day of attack ran a footage showing the Palestinians dancing and celebrating the attack. It was seen by millions of people around the world. Russell Grossman, head of internal communication of BBC observed this game and filed a report that the footage run by CNN was of 1991 period when Iraq invaded Kuwait. His report was mysteriously removed so that this mischief on the part of CNN could be covered up.

This footage certainly built an anti-Muslim hysteria and who benefited from it is anybody’s guess. If America is honest in eradication of terrorism, then it must get a commission constituted under the UNO and OIC to not only investigate the 11th September tragedy but also the causes and factors responsible for such acts and how to eliminate them. This way, no country of the would have any objection in building up any force for striking wherever necessary.

Here the irony is that it’s America who is the law-maker, police, investigator, prosecutor and the judge; this is a good precedence for other countries to follow suit. Today, both America and Great Britain have placed their ego before justice; and fully intoxicated with all the powers that they amassed around the globe. Today they have totally neglected the future of the planet and working for its destruction.

Muslims are only punching bags or escape goats whenever such activities take place any where in the world. People like Moshe Dayan, Golda Mire, Manheim Begin, Ben-Gurion and so many other Jews were never declared terrorists; they destabilised Palestine, killed and uprooted the Palestinians to occupy their lands and country. Countries like America, France and Great Britain openly supported them in this murder of humanity. What Benjamin Netanyahu the former Israeli Prime Minister said regarding the streets of Washington has been practically demonstrated; has anyone or Washington taken notice of it?

The arrogant Bush is squarely placing his feet on the footprints of his father. He hides no emotions when he comes to harming the Muslims and the Islamic states but keeps on repeating that the fight is against the evil and not Islam or the Muslims. Tony Blair, the British Prime Minister is also accompanying George Bush like his shadow in this crusade; indeed a good example of friendship. Both of them have found all the evils in the Muslim world only and nowhere else. What the Russians did to the Chechen Muslims was no crime.

The concern of George Bush is very much genuine in this crusade; after all he is the Head Policeman of the world who is busy in placing the ‘New World Order’ launched by his father; so in that earnest he is absolutely right. He owes his faith to the Zionist dominated West and no one else. Does it not seem that America is amassing the ‘Anti-Christ Forces’ and the time for the arrival of that one eyed beast – Dajjal and the descent of Prophet Jesus has come? Why America has displayed its association with that beast by putting that one eye and the pyramid on the obverse side of the one-dollar bill; for those who understand this ghastly game, it has lot to convey.

Would it not have been appropriate if the champions of human rights, democracy and the leaders of this crusade to have begun the cleansing operation from home? All the leading proponents of the so-called war against terrorism must present their slate before the world. Here it would be much appreciated if the role and conduct of CIA, BSS, KGB, MOSSAD and RAW is made public; the respective governments stating on oath as to how many governments have they destabilised, how many arsons and killings have they sponsored and how many specific individuals have they targeted over the last fifty years? Here their answer would be that all was done in their national interest and to maintain the world peace.

What’s happening in, Kashmir, Palestine, Chechnia, Bosnia, Kososvo, Iraq, Sudan, Libya, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Algeria, Turkey and so many other places in the Muslim world alone is not terrorism; all these countries are subjected to one or the other form of terrorism like social, economic, political, religious, etc. but only for mercy killing, helping the poor Muslims to die at others cost.

The Islamic World should realise beyond any element of doubt that George Bush, the President of the has declared a Crusade under the guise of “War against Terrorism”. He and his government are very arrogant and so are they turning the innocent ordinary citizens of America and other citizens of the West. Arrogance breeds hatred and animosity; which is visible around the world, the mosques are being burnt and the Muslims are being targeted and ridiculed. Talibans are only being punished for not signing a multi-billion dollar contract with an American firm Unicol and also refused to provide a base and support to the Americans to destabilise China’s Muslim province of Sinkiang.

Osama Bin Laden can never be a threat as projected but is only being used as a pretext to punish any Muslim country by associating his links with that country; a good example is that of Chechniya. Here the Osama card has been played to muster the support of Russia who earlier had refused to support this operation. Now Iraq and other Arab countries are being included in the list of aiding Osama therefore after Afghanistan the focus of war would shift there.

Now through the extensive use of the electronic media that is in the effective control of the vested lobby has made every Muslim a terrorist just as Ezra Pound was declared an insane person. But in the name of justice and fair play I ask the proponents of this war against so called terrorism to answer the following questions.

1. Why as reported in the press all the Jews (4500) working in the WTC were absent on 11th September?
2. Which was that group that on 10th September off loaded airlines and insurance stocks in huge numbers?
3. When it’s on record that Benjamin Netanyahu, the former Israeli Prime Minister having it stated it publicly that the streets of Washington shall burn is not being questioned?
4. Why about three weeks prior to WTC incident, America and Great Britain concentrated their forces in the Indian Ocean close to Afghanistan?
5. Who attacked King David Hotel, USS Liberty, murdered a Scandinavian UN Envoy, and indulged in espionage against the US during the Jonathan Pollard case?
6. Is this not terrorism in it self when America is saying ‘either you are with us or with the terrorist’ and not giving any chance to other countries to explain their point of view or defining who is terrorist.

Today the so called fighters of terrorism may eliminate Osama or remove the Talibans without providing solid proof, the terrorism will not end but it will multiply manifolds; and the greatest loser in this game would be none other than America. So if America really wants to end this menace, she must address the root cause else the whole world would burn and so would America.

The world must remember that Allah is surely with the oppressed and aggrieved people Who has His own plans. “Surely they will make a scheme, And I (too) will make a scheme. So grant the unbelievers a respite; let them alone for a while.” Al-Tariq 15-17.

“What! Do they then feel secure against the plan of Allah? But none feels secure from Allah’s plan except the people who shall perish.” Al-Araf – 99.

The Muslim leaders in spite of all their differences must unite the Ummah and formulate a joint strategy to counter this onslaught and must not leave the unarmed, innocent, helpless and oppressed Muslims anywhere in the world at the mercy of the tyrants. Iran has set a good example by refusing any support to America and so must the other states do. If they do not rise to the occasion, then the history will never forgive them.

“O you who believe! Whoever among you turns back from his religion (Deen) then Allah will bring a people, He shall love them and they shall love Him, lowly before the believers, mighty against the unbelievers, they shall strive hard in Allah’s way and shall not fear the censure of any censurer; this is Allah’s grace, He gives it to whom He pleases, and Allah is ample giving and knowing” Al-Maida – 54.
