WINGNUT OF THE WEEK: LIZ CHENEY, How Dare You! Who are you anyway?

Princess of Torture really is Daddy’s Girl

By Gordon Duff, STAFF WRITER/Senior Editor

When dead American soldiers were brought back in secret, in shame, it was at the orders of Vice President Cheney.  Cheney planned the Iraq invasion even before the election and well before 9/11.  The Cheney’s testimony before the 9/11 Commission is filled with things like, "We never thought anyone would attack America, we knew nothing, nothing, nothing….never expected anything at all."

Cheney ordered the phony intel that took us into Iraq.  Cheney overruled the generals who told us the war would go on for years and cost thousands of lives  Cheney sent troops to war with poor body armor, defective weapons and protected against IEDs by canvas doored Humvees.  When our troops had poisoned water and were electrocuted in their barracks, it was Haliburton, Cheney’s company that did it.  When 5 years passed with too few troops, it was Cheney in control.

It was Cheney’s war plan that brought America to the brink of total defeat in Afghanistan.  Dick and Lynn Cheney, among the biggest war profiteers in American history are now pointing their blood stained fingers in blame at others.  Now they have their pointless spawn playing attack dog too?

Haggard mouthpiece of the right wing corporate talk shows in Liz Cheney, torture apologist and "plotter in training."  Someone needs to remind Liz that we know.  The torture wasn’t to get information but to make prisoners promise not to implicate their Bush administration contacts.  Who would want some cook or driver working for a famous terrorist blurting out that their bosses regularly met with White House and CIA stooges.  Is this why the Bush White House kept their overnight visitor’s log secret?

screenhunter_36_oct._30_17.46_01

Liz, given a non-existent State Department job in the Middle East by her dad’s lapdog, Colin Powell, has spent her entire life waiting in line to be handed anything she has wanted just because her father is one of the most miserable and despicable human beings to ever walk the Earth.

Poor but honest and hard working Austrians, members of the Hitler family, have lived in shame for decades.  If they were in America, they would have their own talk shows on Fox or co-host with Bill O’Reilly.  You can see Liz Cheney on Fox anytime, no pixel disruption over her face, although I would advise it for cosmetic reasons.

What greater qualification is there for making accusations against a President choosing to honor American soldiers who gave their lives during wartime?  Even Stalin’s daughter had the good sense to know her own father was a vicious monster.

For 7 years of war, hardly a thought was given to anything but piling no bid contracts on one phony company after another, all personal friends of Dick Cheney, companies like Blackwater, infamous for being the worst security company in world history, run by Eric Prinz but secretly controlled by lifelong Cheney friend, Dick DeVos, huge Republican party contributor and losing Republican candidate for Michigan governor.

Now, those who rode the caboose of "the gravy train to hell" think some face time on America bashing Fox News is adequate moral high ground enough to make up for a life devoid of any human merit.

With America bankrupt and bogged down in wars we now know were not only handled with total stupidity but started for profit based on falsified intelligence.  The self appointed "mastermind" of America’s collapse and downfall, Dick Cheney, perhaps 3rd most hated person in world history behind Stalin and Hitler.

It was bad enough when Cheney, through his friends who own most of the news networks and papers in the US, lashes out, but now he is hiding behind the skirts of his wife Lynn, long time Washington political hack.

Liz Cheney, on Fox News of all things, tell us that President Bush secretly honored our troops.  Yes, Bush and even Liz honored them.  They were honored secretly into the country and hidden away as though they were yesterday’s garbage.  Could we ask Liz how many nights she spent leaving the country club and cocktail party scene and heading out to meet the plainloads of coffins?

It is tough growing up with a hero for a dad.  Learning to be a big mouthed blowhard, one of 3 in the Cheney family, came naturally to Liz.  Liz should tell us more about her dad’s accomplishments.  Few people who have never touched a weapon except to accidentally shoot one of their own friends, has done as much damage to the world, with most of that damaged carefully aimed at the United States.

Never in our history has a family taken so much and given back too little to America, other than shame few of us will outlive.  The idea was to get into the Middle East as quickly after the election as possible, scare the hell out of America and pass laws restricting rights at home and put together an organization that would allow our treasury to be looted, our troops to be abused, mistreated and led by imbeciles while our veterans were denied care, compensation and, as with our troops, thrown away and pushed to homelessness and suicide.

cheney-dick-lizThe responsibility for this lies with Cheney.  Bush was nothing but a figurehead, an illiterate clown.  Dick Cheney and his bumbling follower, Donnie Rumsfeld, playing the roles of dictator and world conqueror failed at every single thing they touched.  Now this "two bit" phony Hitler and Goering pair fill the airways accusing others of being Fascist.  Oh, the irony of it.

You would think some might remain quietly thankful they are not subjected to endless trials here and abroad for torture, murder and corruption on the largest scale in our nations history.

Instead, we have to continue to hear them chattering away.  Maybe they are right and President Obama is totally ineffective.  Maybe  Obama is a fool.  How can you clean a house when you haven’t taken out the trash?

Americans can deal with having the Republican party, as they have threatened, freeze our government and collapse our economy, if we allow the criminal acts of the Bush administration to be subjected to criminal investigation.  This is the truth of it.

I, for one, believe it is our duty as Americans to uphold the rule of law.  Let the GOP do their worst.  No more coverups, no more blackmail, no more payoffs.  The only lesson we are learning is that even the worst criminals imaginable can walk free in America if they have the right friends.  As long as Dick Cheney goes free, no American should spend a minute incarcerated.

When an American president chooses to publicly acknowledge the price paid by our soldiers whose broken bodies are no longer smuggled back in the dark of night, Liz Cheney, daughter of Vietnam war "too important to serve my country" non-veteran Dick, speaks for those who have made hating America a way of life.duffster

I don’t care how many Republicans and Democrats have to be jailed.  Only one thing is certain, we have to arrest Dick Cheney first, maybe not just Dick.

Gordon   now now you have forgotten Dick helped cover up the CIA murder of Frank Olson when he was part of the Ford Administration, he helped arrange a 750,000 dollar settlement to the Olson family nd helped arrange for a new cover story on how Frank died, and had the CIA Director apologize to the family. The Cheney family has a long history of lying to this nation, why should his daughter be any different?  She has learned from one of the most accomplished liars in American history, he was in charge of the National Security from 2002-2005 and then Bush took charge and fired Cheney’s friend and mentor  Rumsfeld after the 2006 election and  quit letting Cheney make the decisions about the wars, and let Gates and others lead the way.

She has really gone out of the way to prove she is nothing morethan the devils child

      Mike,

If you really want a surprise, start asking about Liz and her dealing with the well known but seldom spoken of Bush family franchise involving the golden triangle, afghanistan, turkey and columbia.

Dick, himself, would fill an encyclopedia with his misdeeds.

      g

    • mike says:

Gordon I would like to say whatever I learned would probably shock me  but after my experiences nothing can shock me anymore  nothing   I would like to say something could shock me  but I have learned that to much evil has been done by our elected leaders and their familes  people that serve in the military for all of their "Duty, Honor and Country" would really be saddened to learn that it is all a big lie and they will be used and abused and if they have to depend on  this nation to keep the "PROMISE" it will normally be only after years of fighting them (VA) to make them keep the PROMISE

I am still proud of my service I am just sorry that our "leaders"  Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush 41, Clinton, Bush 43 and Obama did not honor that service and could care less about the veterans and the families of those veterans, they use us as campaign props and nothing more. My family has all served as enlisted since 1776 in the Army mostly  in the past few decades my brothers kids joined the Navy and Coast Guard   my own father served in the 7th calvary  D Troop in the Mexican Punitaive March in 1916  he and my Uncle Gideon served at Douglas, Az and were discharged in Dec 1916. I was born late in his life, my grandfather served in the Calif 4th Volunteers during the Civil War. I have done a lot of research and learned a lot of history lessons. My step father flew in B17s during WW2 and stayed in the Air Force after until 1962, he went to Korea and then they used him in data flights over the  Nevada Test site for nuclear tests.  He ended up with 3 kinds of cancer that they later admitted were presumptive to the exposures, 6 months after he died in Sep 2000.

Nothing shocks me anymore  I guess the government has shocked me as much as they can  now I just try and write what I learn and teach other veterans and their families what they need to know or should know. Thats what has led me to write veterans advocacy pieces since 2004.

Speaking of Cheney’s commitment to truth and justice, this is just out from the AP:
    http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091030/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_cheney_cia_leak_3 [news.yahoo.com]

Cheney told FBI he had no idea who leaked Plame ID

WASHINGTON – Vice President Dick Cheney told the FBI he had no idea who leaked to the news media that Valerie Plame, wife of a Bush administration critic, worked for the CIA.

An FBI summary of Cheney’s interview from 2004 reflects that the vice president had deep concern about Plame’s husband, Joseph Wilson, a former U.S. ambassador in Africa who said the administration had twisted prewar intelligence on Iraq.

Cheney’s chief of staff, I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, was convicted of perjury, obstruction and lying to the FBI in the probe of who leaked Plame’s identity to the news media. President George W. Bush commuted Libby’s 30-month prison sentence but rejected Cheney’s vehement appeals to pardon Libby.

The 28-page FBI interview summary was released Friday to a watchdog group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.

In the interview whose participants included federal prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald, Cheney told agents that he did not recall having a conversation about either Plame or her husband with Bush.

The vice president said he probably discussed Wilson with Bush’s top political adviser, Karl Rove, but told the FBI he would not have talked to Rove about Wilson’s wife.

Cheney’s denials that he talked about Plame are among the few things in the lengthy interview with the FBI that Cheney appeared certain about. He repeatedly said he could not recall key events. Among them, he said he did not recall discussing Wilson’s wife with Libby before her CIA employment was publicly revealed by conservative columnist Robert Novak in mid-July 2003.

Evidence at Libby’s criminal trial showed that Cheney had told Libby about Wilson’s wife in mid-June 2003.

According to courtroom testimony, Rove was one of Novak’s sources for his column disclosing Plame’s CIA identity and Rove and Libby were sources for Time magazine reporter Matt Cooper, who also wrote a story identifying Plame.

Cheney said he was not aware of any discussions Libby may have had with Rove about Wilson or Wilson’s wife, and Cheney said Libby did not tell him about any such discussions.

The vice president advised the agents that he had no idea what Libby knew on the days before Plame’s CIA identity was publicly revealed.

Cheney said he did not recall if he told Libby about Wilson’s wife and her employment at the CIA or if Libby revealed to the vice president his independent knowledge about that fact.

With an Israeli spy being arrested for trying to peddle nuclear secrets, perhaps Plame needed to be out of the way.  Getting rid of her certainly helped North Koreas nuclear weapons program and protected the real source for their weapons information….America……not Pakistan.

Why go to Pakistan when nuclear scientists in America will sell their own mothers for lunch money.

Is anyone surprised that Dick would lie to a FBI agent or a prosecutor about his conduct?  I’m not surprised  otherwise  Fitzpatrick would have indicted him  remember the "cloud over the Vice Presidents office" statement by Fitz?   Cheney belongs in prison for a lot of reasons this is one of the least… what about his torture methods and still advocating to do more of them  he is one sick puppy

The Faust blood line of our time….sadly

Yeah, this guy would have been a great Broadway writer except he chose his stage site to be lower NYC. Much like when Shakespeare created the Globe across the river from London.

You all know that Shakespeare was the son of the Mayor of Stratford, England, 1564-1569, Stratford-upon-Avon that is. Interesting political time period as well.

There’s a story about Christopher Marlowe, an excellent up coming writer who was mugged outside a pub one dark night. He was from the poor class and wrote of things that literally spoke the truth of his time.

After he was murdered outside that pub his writings all disappeared, my own research back in the 70′s suggests it was those loyal to Shakespeare who killed Marlowe and turned the writings over to Shakespeare.

My point as it might relate to this article: Politicians and their off spring make excellent story tellers. They wear jewels on their fingers while everyone else works their fingers to the bone. To be polite in this light, fuck em all and may their bastard children all grow warts!

And then we had Sir Francis Bacon – 1561-1626, I liked him.

Bush, Rove, AND Cheney are now both free to PROVE they really believe in the wars they started, and just how “PATRIOTIC” they really ARE. They surrounded themselves with flags and LOUDLY proclaimed their “love” of America….. Now they are free to pick up rifles and LEAD the Troops that they ordered, into combat.

WE, who stepped out of line… are the enemy now… or confused, lost and unaware.

    Or worse… unpatriotic.

Oh wait… everything bad is going to happen now because Barack Obama is the Anti-Christ.

    I’m so sick of this!

What do you do when one-third of the population has already been ‘infected’?

There’s no turning back now for them. There’s no reaching them. What does one do? Hope ‘the infection’ doesn’t spread? Or cut the head off the snake?

I, for one, favor the last.

    So… where does one strike?

    Cheney? HK? Who else?

Who was HK REALLY working for? Himself? His Pride? Or WHO?

Just some questions I ask myself….

before I get Focused and Organized Again………

Thank you for your thought-provoking, ‘in your face’ and sometimes brash reporting…

    Don’t Stop.

Again… how can the people that are already plugged into the Channels of Fear and Despair be reached?

  10. Rex Carlson says:

The following quote, describing a mothere’s feelings toward her son mirror, I think, where Liz Cheney is coming from, whether she realizes it or not. This is what motivates her. She has to keep moving, talking …running.

From the book: American Mom – Motherhood, Politics, and Humble Pie

    by Mary Kay Blakely

… I could also imagine what might be going on inside the tortured mind of Joel Steinberg’s mother, after the bloody images of Hedda Nussbaum and five-year-old Lisa Steinberg convinced a jury of her son’s guilt. To the bitter end of the trial, his mother refused to believe her son capable of such violent battery and murder.

She built a case against Hedda, portraying her as a lousy mother, a drug abuser, so out of control she must have been “asking for it”- something, anything, to explain this alien son in the news, not the boy she once knew, not the son she so carefully raised.

The choices I saw for her, listening to long months of shocking testimony, were these: Deny reality, or start weeping and never stop.

    • Karen says:

      Rex,

Cheney infuriates and disgusts me.  His daughter is beginning to, as well.
When I read your comment I was pulled up short.  I think you have hit the nail on the head as to why Liz is doing this.  "Deny reality, or start weeping and never stop."  It takes superhuman courage to confront the dark side of a close relative, and choose to stand tall for truth.  I am almost feeling compassion for her now.  It certainly has given me food for thought, and I thank you.

And you are from which other planet?  One with a methane atmosphere perhaps?  There is on America on "Uranus," not one described by the Faux Snooze network.

I don’t mind if an Israeli power broker, Rupert Murdoch, controls much of our news.  I have many friends in Israel.

The bad part is that Murdoch seems to hate the United States.  You know, so many of the people who watch Fox seem to also.

America can survive Fox and the very unAmerican lies it tells.  However, when Fox ran America for 8 years, America nearly died.

      g

    • duffster says:

OK…for a response to the substance…if you want to call it that.

Liz Cheney told many lies on Fox but helped America by repeating the lies her father and President Bush (the lesser) had been telling.

Now that Fox has been exposed for thie hideous set of lies, Liz Cheney has been exposed for her hideous lies and Bush and "Dick" Cheney have been exposed for this totally disgusting betrayal of the American soldiers they murdered so many of….you should keep loving them the way you always have.

Only one force could make someone follow evil like that….fear.  Only one fear is that powerful, fear of race.

I think we all understand you, fox news and the liars that work there very well.  At least the stooges get paid to lie.

In today’s America, being paid to lie is as close to honor as we get.  It is the "Bush/Cheney" way, the Fox News way, the "neocon" way….and I will bet you go to church and touch the bible with the same hand you used to type with.

If only there were a vengeful god.  Instead, we can wait for that revolution that Fox News keeps trying to start.  Imagine the surprise when some folks wake up to find exactly how unforgiving real Americans can be for the suffering our oppressors have caused this country.

      g

  12. Simon A says:

It is a sad state of affairs when your enemy respects you more than the government who sent you to war. And I can tell you that the enemy will not turn their back on you. The Cheney’s and all the rest of asssholes are as phony as a 3 dollars bill. They hide under words like honor, duty and country; the worst is they dishonor the word patriot and American to fulfill their greed. These people have no respect for anyone. They are the cowards of this country and hide under the courage of MEN who fight their war. Let me tell you while in the military I knew that I was expendable, but as a veteran I refuse to accept this. Thomas Jefferson said it so well, “To remain silent when they should protest makes cowards of men”. I believe that it is our duty as veterans to restore honor back to our country, and we need to stop settling for crumbs to appease us in believing that we are being taken care of, but they giveth a little they taketh a lot more during the night when nobody is on watch. There is still hope that Obama will step up to the plate and do the right things for veterans. The problem is that it seems evident that those in charge of the VA do not want it to change, otherwise they would have to be accountible.

      Chickenhawk Notes
      Definition

A chickenhawk is a term often applied to public persons – generally male – who (1) tend to advocate, or are fervent supporters of those who advocate, military solutions to political problems, and who have personally (2) declined to take advantage of a significant opportunity to serve in uniform during wartime.

Some individuals may qualify more for their political associations than for any demonstrated personal tendency towards bellicosity. Some women may be included for exceptional bellicosity.

There is another, less savory definition of the term chickenhawk. It is not relevant to this discussion; we intend no such associations to be drawn here.

This list is provisonal. The management of the Gazette is proud to have served the vital public function of assembling the best known list of American chickenhawks, but we confess – we declare and emphasize – that we have not the resources to tend to it properly. Therefore we declare it provisional: we acknowledge there may be faults – hell, we know there are.

      Errors and Omissions

Anyone falsely characterized as a chickenhawk is particularly welcome to correct any errors. We encourage every interested American to feel free to nominate chickenhawks, or to fill in missing information. Nominations are solicited from all sources.

      History

We assembled an earlier version of this list by merging two or three less complete lists. We then added more than a score of names ourselves. We posted the list to the Gazette’s website in March, where it seemed to catch the public’s interest. Twenty or more names were then added to create the list as you see it here.

      Chickenhawk Details
George W. Bush: Yeah, right. He was in uniform. Big deal. See http://www.awolbush.com/

Bill Clinton: He may have launched a few cruise missiles to distract us from a dalliance with a girl half his age, but our judges believe he wasn’t bellicose enough to make the cut. Your mileage may vary.

Tom Delay: "DeLay’s excuse for having a yellow streak as wide as the Rio Grande down his back is truly imaginative, if you take a delight in the bizarre. The man who believes Dioxin is good for you (again, we are not making this up), claims that he volunteered for Vietnam, but all the spots were taken up by minorities, so he was not allowed to serve. Clearly all those years of exposure to toxic chemicals had some serious side effects on ‘Ol Tom." – Esther and/or Jeff Clark

Sean Hannity: Too young for ‘Nam, but anyone that bellicose could have horned in on Panama or Desert Storm somehow.

Paul Harvey: A complicated case. We’re working on a dossier.

Trent Lott: "Dear Sir or Madam, Please be advised that Trent "Cheerleader" Lott is NOT a senator from Louisiana as you have mislabeled him but rather from the state of Mississippi. We have enough problems in Louisiana without someone thinking this toupee wearing, right wing fop is our Senator! – Please correct your entry and keep up the good work! – Rev. Kenneth M. Kafoed"

Ted Nugent: An amusing case. We’re working on a dossier.

Richard Perle: We’re working on a dossier.

Ronald Reagan: A complicated case. He remains listed because our judges believe his bellicosity outweighs his relatively painless service.

Pat Robertson: As we recall it, Pete McCloskey charged that Robertson’s father got him posted to Japan shortly after his unit arrived in Korea. Robertson responded with a libel suit, which he later dropped. "[His own] libel suit [against fellow former Marine Pete McCloskey] turned out to be an embarrassment to Robertson. During depositions, Paul Brosnan, Jr., a retired university professor who served with Robertson in Korea, backed up [Congressman Pete] McCloskey’s claim and went even further, asserting that the televangelist had consorted with prostitutes and had sexually harassed a Korean cleaning girl who worked in the barracks." –Rob Boston, The Most Dangerous Man in America, Prometheus Books, 1996.

Steven Spielberg: We read his films as ultimately adding to the glorification of war. Perhaps we’re wrong. This nomination has been challenged, and is open to debate.

John Wayne: "Another notable Hollywood faker to consider is Marion Morrison. Born in 1907, he decided to jump past his competitors like Jimmy Stewart and Henry Fonda by using his married status as a reason to avoid volunteering for the cause. As John Wayne, a phony name for a phony man, he played a lot of war heroes, while he ran away from anything resembling patriotism, except the pose. – Ray Duray

      Another Sort of Chickenhawk Altogether
We realized with a shudder today that with all the noise we’ve making about "chickenhawks" – who are in general a less-than inspiring lot – we’ve neglected to mention a self-described chickenhawk of an altogether different sort: Robert Mason.

Robert Mason was an Army helicopter pilot with the First Cavalry in Vietnam in 1965 and 1966. His best-selling memoir "Chickenhawk" will likely remain the definitive portrayal of the war as seen from the pilot’s seat of a Huey.

In 1984, when Mason’s "Chickenhawk" was on the New York Times best seller list, its author was in prison for trying to sail a boat full of marijuana into the country. How an ace Army helicopter pilot became a drug smuggler is revealed in Mason’s second book, "Chickenhawk: Back in the World."

It will come as no surprise to Mason’s fellow veterans that PTSD – Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder – had something to do with the course of his life after the war. Mason’s aptly-named wife Patience wrote a valuable book of her own, Recovering From the War: A Guide for all Veterans, Family Members, Friends, and Therapists, published by Viking in 1990.

The fact that the term "chickenhawk" applies to belligerent draft dodgers like Saxby Chambliss and Tom Delay, and to men like Robert Mason, is, as far as we can tell, simply further proof that if you follow something to its extreme, you may meet its opposite.

      ——————————————————————————–

The assembler of this information meditates on his own service in Vietnam, in
Cognitive Dissonance and Moral Imperatives, or, From One Morgue to Another

The alleged "gentlemen" listed in this database are here because they share three qualities: bellicosity (a warlike manner or temperament), public prominence, and a curious lack of wartime service when others their age had no trouble finding the fight. (Sorry, Dan and George W. and Dan Q. – your safe, cushy National Guard slots won’t help you now.) The fact that they’s almost all Republicans is … well, curious, don’t you think? No doubt this list is incomplete. Readers are encouraged to nominate their favorite overlooked chickenhawks.

  16. Byron Skinner says:

    Good Morning Duff,

A new phrase you might like, wingers and birthers they are rather dated and are old labels. They have evolved into the “Bevis and Butthead” Conservatives. The best on can say about Richard Cheney is that he is a pathetic creature. Other Buttheads include the marring men Girngrich and Barr, the serial adulter like the late Henry Hyde, Livingston, Gingrich and Barr (again) and the late but not so great Christian Conservatives.

Then their are the know nothing buttheads like William Bennett, Rush, and Ann and of course all of the FOX news network.

A good sign Duff, while at the SDVAMC last week in Area 1, as usual they had FOX News on the TV, a Veteran actually asked the security guard to change the channel, noting that the President says FOX is not a legitimate news network. Of course the security guard didn’t have the authority to change the channel, but hey it’s a start.

Bush W. is in a class all of the own. The “What Me Worry” Republicans.

    ALLONS,
    Byron Skinner

TO DUFFSTER I DON’T ARGUE WITH OTHER VIETNAM VETS. SORRY IF I DID OFFEND YOU IN ANY WAY . AND WELLCOME HOME!!!!

    • duffster says:

The only rules here……not that many…don’t be too mean to the writers.  I am the thick skinned of the group.  Woundn’t it be nice if we all learned things in the comment section.  We have people who read and comment who have taught me alot.

Kind of depend on this….if there are conspiracies…if there is a secret government…if we are all being lied to all the time…

all of which is true of course….

the folks here will know…and some of them may be involved.

What we should be doing…is asking questions, all of us.  Then we can turn our bullshit meters on…

One of the points I made recently….BIN LADEN IS DEAD AS SHIT…BEEN THAT WAY FOR YEARS

if this is true…and it is

      and it can be proven

      and it can

then…what the hell has been going on since December 13, 2001….when bin Laden was planted in a small grave at Tora Bora?

we can go further…bin Laden had absolutely NOTHING to do with 9/11….

what the hell has been going on here?  those of us who travel….some of us continually….have people look at us like we are total idiots because we are Americans.

think of mrs clinton in pakistan talking about bin laden and terrorism.  NOBODY IN PAKISTAN BELIEVES BIN LADEN IS ALIVE…NOBODY

BUT..THEY ALL THINK OUR SECRETARY OF STATE IS TOTALLY NUTS

      Is this a good thing?

      Don’t answer that.

  18. Jim Lawrence says:

My fellow veteran, I must ask myself: why would a combat veteran listen faithfully and loyally to any politician that actively avoided going into combat when the opportunity and need was there and why would I trust these men who would put me or my children in harm’s way and count us as cannon fodder and then deny the benefits I deserve when I need them? It feels like the country that I love used me and kicked me aside like a piece of junk that it was done with. I served as a doorgunner on a helicopter during the Easter Counter Offensive of 1972. The first battle we were in was 81 days. And that’s how I started my tour. Eight months later, I finished my tour, working for FPJMC/ICCS retrieving our dead and doing P.O.W. exchanges. I am fortunate enough to know my commanders and other members of my flight platoon, including one of my pilots who is still living. Even with all of this information, I have been fighting with the VA for fifteen years. So, in conclusion, I must ask you if your loyalties might be misguided? And ask you to Question this authority, We must all think for ourselves as well, as our country. We should not trust someone because they are on the Right or the Left or because they call themselves a Republican of a Democrat. Let us remember we are Americans and have an obligation to our forefathers and our heritage to do what’s right.

As far as what’s right. That’s a different discussion.
    Jim

      Jim,

When you hit Vietnam, American had become professional at, not only ignoring and abusing vets but worshipping piece of shit politicians.

Every time I hear someone cheering on some phony piece of shit politican because he squawks to the NRA, VFW or the American Taliban about how he is going to take over the world, save their guns and punish the imaginary communists…

      don’t get me started.

  19. Dennis Rick says:

I want YOU, the writer of this to PROVE TO ME AND AMERICA that Cheney ORDER the phony Intell… PROVE IT or keep your mouth shut.

It is a KNOWN FACT THAT CLINTON’s Intell was bad and he pass that on to BUSH, PROVEN FACT!!!!

IT’S ALSO a PROVEN FACT that CLINTON, KERRY (who sat in the intell committee) SAID over and over that IRAQ had WMD’s and even VOTED to go into Iraq (all except Kerry and he knew it was all a lie). PROVEN again…………..

Now as far as Cheney’s daughter, she is enttilted to her opinion wether it be a right or left wing nut…She is probally a better person then you to begin with for you are a coward as far as I’m concern.

This has to be one of the worst of worst articles ever written by this so call site of cowards and liars….

You attack Cheney’s daughter I attack you asshole…You stop with the personnal attacks, other people here have been warn when they attack people of your staff..but, thats gives you the right to attack and not go by your owns rules..making you an ass and a total one…

Like I said PROVE IT and not some left wing nut article that says I “Think” so or this is what happen and doesn’t have one bit of proof, but thinks they are right.

This whole thing is about taking the heat off Obama and his complete inability to lead this country, so you go back to the attack Bush and his admin again .

Well, you might get the hand full of idiots who read and believe your lies, but I for one don’t. YOUR A LIAR plain and simple..

You must think people don’t read (well your side don’t) and look at everything and not just one thing and try to pin every war lost on Bush and every thing that has happen dating back to 1620 that it was Bush’s fault..Your an idiot.

  20. Marc C. Daniele says:

This BI@CH should just shut up! Her father should be in prison as it is! It seems that money and power can keep any criminals out of prison!
When is this country going to start prosecuting Elected Officials, and the VA when it commits crimes? I was raised to believe that this country was a land of laws, for the people and by the people, but from what I have experienced in the past few years with Elected Officials, and our very corrupt VA System, it seems that these laws only apply to the average citizen! Elected Officials, Government Employees are above these laws! Why? Are they not American Citizens like me? Then why is it that they are not prosecuted like I would be if I broke the same laws?
The Government, and it’s employees should be held to an even higher standard than the average citizen! Since when did having money or power, or being a government employee make them a better American than say the average “Joe” like me? Most of us reading this were even willing to give our lives to protect this country, but that is not good enough!

I have VA’s own documentation, etc. of it, and it’s employees violating HIPAA Laws, US Laws, VA Policies and Procedures, violating Federal Codes of Ethics, lying to US Senators, Fraud, Freedom of Information Act violations, etc. etc. yet our Elected Officials, Law Enforcement Agencies, etc. do not even wish to see it, much less take actions for the crimes committed!
My problem is that I have physical barriers, and also don’t know how to get it all together, write it up for the Media, etc. that will help! Anyone that can offer any advise, or can help me with this please send me an email! Maybe we can help keep another veteran from being subject to the same provable crimes I have!

      Marc,

Our last poster, Mr. Rick, was a VA employee, though probably not responsible for EVERYTHING.  He should tell us if he was able to do anything to help.

Bill Eckard, a new writer, did 34 years at the VA.  He verifies all you say…told me they had personnel assigned to shred mail when it came in…

Everything you have written….is totally accurate and hundreds of thousands of us know it.

  21. Ken says:

Cheney and daughter, Beck, Hannity and Limbaugh , and Kraupthammer, widely publicized anytime they scornfully and despicably attack the president.
They thrive on it. I ignore them. Try to, but damn me, everytime I turn on a talking head they’re quoting Cheney, his daughter, and the other screamers.
Barack Obama has been under attack ever since he tossed his hat in the presidential races.
Cheney is a regular on Fox where he criticizes and damns eveything and anything the president has done, is trying to do, and is thinking of doing. Clubs, cliques and chat-ta’s have him on regularly.
All I can do is echo what has been written above – he, Rumsfeld and company should face a court.
