FOX/MURDOCH/ISRAELI POLICY TO KEEP US IN AFGHANISTAN
NOT VERY "PRO AMERICAN"

Fox News is using retired military officers surrounded by uniformed active duty troops in an attempt to derail debate on disengagement in Afghanistan. After 8 years, the US is heading the same way Russia did, the more troops we send, the more die. Absolutely nothing has been accomplished in 8 years in Afghanistan other than to start a major war in Pakistan too. I understand Fox News. They are controlled by the powerful Israeli spokeman, Rupert Murdoch. Israel wants this war to go on forever. Though Murdoch now is an American citizen, it doesn’t seem to have "taken."
What is good for Israel isn’t always good for the US. Active duty military who try to make their own foreign policy are not just total morons but are in violation of a number of laws. They are technically at war with the United States of America. If it is necessary for veterans to take up weapons to fight against members of our military who are part of an insurrection run by a foreign power, tell me where to sign up.
To the former officers, always quick to take a payoff from a defense contractor or the Bush Pentagon as a "pundit," reading from whatever script Karl Rove has written for the day, you dishonor yourselves, your oath and the United States. The oath I remember was:
I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.
To many officers, the oath was to a political party, defense contractor or the last person to buy lunch. America had enough of your military leadership. Why do you think we are losing the war in the first place? YOU! Total lack of ability, leadership and talent is why we are losing the war. Officers sold their honor for photo opportunities with Rumsfeld, Cheney and Bush, followed "party line" and led us into hopeless war while lying to our government and the people.
When it was time to stand up to the government, you were silent, a pack of "perfumed Pentagon Princes," putting career over honor. Now we see folks who failed and retired asking for more troops. Who dragged you off the golf course? Where did the call come from? We want to know? Who are your new masters? Do you even know, yourselves? Even a whore knows who is buying the drinks.
I will be displeased with President Obama until he makes sure Secretary Gates hunts every one of you down, retirees need to be investigated for disloyalty to our troops and those on active duty need to be flushed out and replaced with war fighters, not country club clowns.
It is one thing allowing the military to make decisions in a democracy. We call that dictatorship. It is quite something else when a news network, one whose loyalty is primarily to an ally, Israel, who is, on occasion, not our best friend. Decision making in Israel over the past couple of years has not always been perfect. This may be the understatement of all time.
I have some experience at war, having fought in Vietnam. Without the thousands of foreign workers and mercenaries we now use, actual combat troops holding the I Corps, the most active area during the war, were few in number, at times less than 10,000. We were outnumbered and suffered casualty rates many many times that of the current conflict.
Never once did we run to the TV stations and demand reinforcements. We didn’t even have hot food. We remembered the troops landing on D Day or Marines on Iwo Jima. We would have felt ashamed. The troops on D Day thought about Americans fighting at Belleau Wood. Can we add to the list, San Juan Hill, Gettysburg, Valley Forge? It’s about honor. It’s a "warrior" thing.
Now we have troops on TV. Today it is reinforcements and control of the American government. What will it be tomorrow? Collective bargaining? Mutiny?
Why don’t we do this. Lets figure out why you are there. Were you sent to Afghanistan to fight 2 dozen terrorists 8 years ago, terrorists who may have died of old age by now? This is not the same war, not a war we signed up for and not one we may be willing to see our kids die in.
We are no longer going to be driven from war to war by newspaper stories or be manipulated by terrorists. The enemies of the United States are smiling. When they see you, troops pushing for a wider war, pushing to end intelligent debate, troops defying their democratic government, they know they are winning. You are telling them so.
There is no more proof America is being destroyed than your words.

A “news” organization that organizes protests against the party in power is NOT a news organization. Fraud and misrepresentation ought to be a crime! If they called themselves FOX GOP NEWS that would be legit. We, the people, need to file a class action lawsuit against FOX for misrepresentation and force them to change their name so that viewers are correctly presented the product. Lawyers? What say you?
I’m not a lawyer but I would certainly sign on as a party to a such an action.
Such a suit if successful would not only set Fox Noise back on their round little heels, it would also serve as a warning to other networks and "news" organizations.

I am so dissatisfied with the republican party for the way they are behaving, not concerned about solving any problems but about who we can hurt or what bill before congress we can take out. No one is trying to work together to solve problems.
I am 66 years old, Enlisted Vietnam veteran and not sure I will be around long enough to make a difference, but I have an idea that will work, if there is someone with the drive required to make it happen to step forwarded. We need a third party “The Veterans Party”. With all the veterans and their families we should be able to get petitions signed to become a third party and get our party on each states ballet. Many of our citizens are feed up with the Washington insiders and if there is anyone they will vote for; it is a veteran. I agree with Mr. Tucker. The two party system is no longer a viable system that works for the people. It only works for the party. When the elected official is voting the party vote rather than the constituents wishes then it is not working.
If the military Generals would obey the oath, they might overthrow the government now, after all they did swear to defend the constitution or whats left of it. However I agree we need to get out of the middle east. But not like we wimped out in vietnam.

in over 15 months in vietnam as a grunt, i never saw a guy “wimp out”. the politicians lost that war, plain and simple. i used to think that we needed a victory in iraq so we could get out. w declared a victory, but we’re still there losing people. we have no stomach for afghanistan, no real enemy, no policy demanding that we stay and donate lives and money for any reason. as opposed to “wimping out”, i propose we just get the hell out! and i don’t give a rat’s ass what “news” organization you watch/listen to, you are being outright lied to.

The CINC sets national policy and strategic objectives. He changed Commanders in Afghanistan and then asked for an assessment/recommendation. That assessment by GEN Mchrystal was based on the goals and objectives given to him by his chain of command. (CENTCOM CDR & CINC).
When the President received the recommendation, he did not follow through on it. He’s the one who wants to put the emphasis on Pakistan.
If the President wants different objectives then he needs to articulate that…. you can’t have it both ways.
The generals on TV are primarily supporting the commander in the field and his request. I believe your “Israeli” conspiracy theory is just another example of your wild thoughts…..sometime you just need to shut up.
Le me know when you pick up that weapon and fight against US Officers or any other US servicemen. I’d like to be the first in line to take you on.

Officers or enlisted men who would take up arms against the legitimate government would be in violation of their constitutional oath and therefore no longer members of our military but enemies of the United States fighting in support of a foreign power.

I spoke with someone in Washington recently, and he did not believe that McChrystal had leaked the document himself. Who really knows,,perhaps only McChrystal himself.
One thing that would help me, as well as the rest of America who cares about the Middle East, would be to have a good concise history of that area out here in the
internet world to read. Every day I realize more and more there is an awful lot I do not know about the M.E.
It seems that most Americans are afraid to have an opinion about events in the M.E.

I agree with Duffster,, it makes little sense to plan a long winded military occupation of
Afghanistan.
Perhaps this is a perfect opportunity for Team Obama to make the transparency he promised a reality. The majority in America do not want to see us engaged in another
several years of fighting in Afghanistan,, and certainly not without an open and honest debate our mission and purpose.
I have also read that we are attempting to negotiate with elements of the “Taliban”
which seems to be many different groups, not just one or two. This makes sense.
Certainly not the typical macho move of Bush or Cheney.
But it really does take hours and hours of searching and reading to come up with accurate news about events there.
I always begin my reading with a quick check of Gordon’s daily brief,, it is a good place to start. Some take the easy road and choose to just watch Fox news for an hour,,,, those people make me nervous. We all need more valid information, and it surely is not on Fox.
Let’s see,, three hours a day digging for real news and learning more about M.E. history and cultures,,, for three more months,, and still, I will realize that there is so much more to learn.

The big three had the hook in our lip for years untill we started asking questions. At least FOX gave us a different point of view, and woke a few people up from being locked steped behind the radical left ideology of the main stream big three. You need both extremes so you know where the middle is.

AS one of our many Scratch n’ Dent vets I spend lots of time at McGuire’s VA and am sickened at the “successes” of AIPAC I mentioned behind the younger generation G.I.s filing in burned, mangled and traumatized.
After being discharged in ’72 I decided to hitch hike/walk around the Balkans, Greece, Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon etc for some “peace & quiet, clear my mind etc, Then, the ’73 War broke out. (another story)
I was by myself and lived, traveled etc around everyday Muslims and Arabs for about 9 months; that “Hate filled Arab Street” we hear so much about.
Not once did I experience a hostile encounter and was treated with overwhelming generosity and kindness; shared families’ homes, shops, tents, camels back, donkey carts & sand storms. They were and have been very fond of Americans and understood the meaning of reciprocity during our friendly years.
The question I was most frequently asked was “Why do Americans suddenly hate us?” (i.e. our unconditional support for Right Wing Israel’s ongoing and 70 year old Extermination and Expulsion agenda.
In attempting to answer, I tried to explain the power of AIPAC and its 100+ like purposed, traitorous extortion rackets, our bias media etc but they gave Americans more credit for complicity with such hate filled, self destructive and criminal behavior.
Our most genuine demonstration of patriotism is, today, confronting a powerful, ruthless and surreptitious “domestic enemy” by standing up to the “Israel First, America be damned” lobbies, propaganda industries, effectively misinformed and parasitic traitors who push for wars in no one’s best interests and for Americans to fight.
Loyalty to our country and “Standing with our troops” is more than flags, bumper stickers and parades and it’s certainly not “Anti Semitic”
If we’re judged by the enemies we incur, then I must be doing something right.

I also travel extensively in the Islamic world. I was one of the first Americans to drive thru Serbia..just after the bombing stopped. Showing my NATO ID at the border left them in stitches. However, I have never been treated better.
Americans have no understanding of Islam. I will say that running around Cairo has driven me nuts. However, I have walked anywhere in town at any time, day or night, with complete safety.
Living in a world where most of my friends and even family are Jews has never caused any difficulty. I have arranged conferences in Jordan for Israeli’s…and there has never been any diffiulty.
One of my funny experiences was flying into Iraq (commercial – Air Jordan) and being served a requested Kosher meal. The entire plane broke into laughter.
Too many of us lose our senses of humor.

The reason it as been said the U.S. cannot lose the war in Afghanistan is for the same reason it was invaded by the former Soviet Union and the British is very simply it sets upon a massive sea of oil. Afghanistan holds massive deposits of gold, uranium, precious stones including diamonds, rubies, turqoise and others. They are said to spill out of the sides of mountains during bombing
There is also the question of the pipelines. Turkmenistan is one of the few Caucasus countries on board with the west along with Azerbahjan. A pipeline is sought through Afghanistan all the way to the Saudi Gulf in order to access this oil to Europe the true destination as opposed to it going to China along with Russian oil.
This country also holds berylium, a mineral used in building advanced jet fighters. The soviets knew that whoever controls Afghanistan controls the world.
This is the family really pulling the strings.

Crude is a dead issue. Dwindling supplies of natural gas in Russia are an issue, however as is ownership of the pipelines. We have a large portion of the surface of the earth with no sustainable revenue except for gas and oil..mostly gas.

We cannot forget that the Muslim Brotherhood (MB), an international jihadist organization self-proclaimed charge is “eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers…” The objectives of the Muslim Brotherhood coincide with al Qaeda calling for re-establishment of the caliphate/imamate and imposition of Shari’a.
I could buy some of what you are saying here, but you need to get some of the radical islamic groups to cooperate more. Actions speak louder than words.

We are not seeing a clear tie between Hasan or Flight 235 and any Islamic terrorism.
Focusing on the Muslim Brotherhood, the Egyptian base organization, can provide proper background that would or could lead one to Al Qaeda denialism….
