To Joe Six Pack:

From August 1969 to May 1970 I was a Marist Seminarian at St Mary's High School Seminary in Penndel, PA.

From Agust 1970 until 31 October 1972, I was a seminarian for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia studying at St Charles Borromeo Seminary in Overbrook, just outside of Philadelphia.

I took my first Bachelors Degree at Mt. St. Mary's RC Men's College in Emmitsburg, MD in May 1975. It is the oldest independent RC college in the U.S. and the cradle of bishops. More Catholic bishops have graduated from the Mount than any other college in the U.S. by far.

I have the Catholic credentials Joe. But sometimes, the truth hurts.

CWO3 Tom Barnes, USCG (Ret.)

Joe you might ask the Irish and the Brits about their take on on the fact no Catholic ever attacked this country on the basis of their religion..............A radical religious nut is a nut regardless of the religion. Also the Catholics did take up arms against the USA because of their religion back in the 20th century ( Mexican war)

For you to compare what Muslim Americans today are gonig through to what anti-Cahtolic sentiment was in the past is ridiculous. Last time I looked, we were never at war with radical Catholicism and no Catholics ever attacked this country on the basis of their religion.

Catholics were never protected by the media or government the way muslims are either. Catholics were hated (are hated) due to their religious beliefs alone. I go to a Roman Catholic mass every week and have done so for over 40 years. Not once have I ever heard any anit-American rhetoric. Hell, the Church stays out of all political controversies except abortion. You won't find any Catholic Churches supporting radical islam. Can you say the same for mosques? I have a muslim neighbor who quit going to what he considered a "tame" mosque because of their inability to condemn the radical muslim movement.

I am not saying all muslims are radical terrorist. But what I am saying is to compare the way Muslims are treatedt to the way Catholics are treated tells me you are anti-Catholic, probably anit-semitic, and have no sense of what you are talking about.
