Tough-guy John Bolton, hiding under his bed

John Bolton is the prototypical right-wing pseudo-tough-guy: cheering on every war he can find without ever getting near any of them. And as usual for this strain of play-acting, chest-beating warrior, all of the belligerence and craving of vicarious power masks a deep and pitiful cowardice. That is often the principal purpose of warmongering from a distance. Yesterday, Bolton — on "Washington Times Radio" — revealed that he is so petrified of Terrorists that he would not feel safe in New York City during the trial of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed and would not even allow his family there.
Host Melanie Morgan: "Given the nature and danger of bringing these terrorists to American soil, where do you think is the most safe place to be when they get here and this trial begins? Where would you put your family?"
John Bolton: "Well, not New York City, I’m afraid to say. This is part of the callousness and the really, lack of professionalism and judgment to put them on trial anywhere in the United States in civilian courts."
The cowardice on display here is difficult to overstate — and to behold without being ill. I lived in Manhattan on 9/11 and for many years thereafter. For weeks — even months and years after that attack — it was widely assumed that New York would be a likely target for another attack, but I never heard a single New Yorker — not one — talk about fleeing the city or hiding their family in some faraway place. During the 2004 election, New Yorkers voted for the candidate who wanted to treat Terrorism like a law enforcement problem over the pseudo-tough-guy "war president" by a margin of 80-20. The fears engulfing Bolton and which he’s attempting to infect the country with are found almost exclusively among this species of war-mongers obsessed with flamboyant — and very public — rituals where they proclaim their own "strength" and "courage."

You know, If I am not mistaken NEW YORK is the home of a very large part of organized crime (mafia, gangs, drugs..etc) also a large part of unorganized crime (city officials taxing the people to death to fix the streets they drive on). So is it because they have enough crime there and don’t need anymore or that maybe they they need to consider how many people live in New York as compared to how many terroists they will bring there, numbers please?

New York is our premier city recognized around the world as "America" for all that is good about us and all that is bad about us. It will always be a target for that very reason. Always.
Bolton is actually acting out on a basic Reich Wing ideological truth: scare the people all the time, concerning every issue that they should be concerned about so that they allow the "leaders" to decide for them what should or should not be done. He is the ultimate fascist and he probably is not even aware of this fact.
The Reich Wing is dangerous in America not because they are completely wrong, but because they are usually at least partially correct.
Their forte is take a kernel of truth, surround it with the candy coating of deliberately manipulated and distorted facts and then wait for the proper moment of fear and tragedy to appear so that they can jam it down the peoples’ throats and then claim that they are saving us all from ideological starvation from the Left.
They are monsters. Generally they would be insulted if you pointed this out to them. They are not stupid, not at all. Not even a little bit. They know exactly what they are doing. And what they are doing is continually, consistently and systematically creating and fabricating a climate of fear from which they can launch whatever hare-brained crazy scheme of "’Merikanization" they are dwelling upon at the time.
Senator McCarthy had nothing on these people. They make him look like a Cub Scout.

Thinking about ALL the money spent and blood that we have spilled in Afghanistan and Iraq after all these years and aside from the oil company pipelines which we will pay for in taxpayer’s money which will NOT reflect in lower gas prices, the only THINGS that I see that we got OUT of Iraq is the fact that the HUMVEE doesn’t work very well if loaded down with extra armor plate, the basic infantry weapon (M-16) jams under real combat conditions and the VA is a system that needs changing, like 50 years ago. All these things most Veterans knew before, so it was wasted teaching.
Bolton, Beck, Rove, Cheney, Ashcroft, Rumsfeld, Bush, Limbaugh, Coulter, Hannity, Krupthammer, Dobbs, Parker- and the list goes on.
Propagandists united. Still churning out fear, and most disgustingly getting on the air so easily.
As CWO3 Tom Barnes USCG (Ret) states, they all play the Fascist propaganda game. Just like the master Josef Goebbels – if a lie is heard often enough, the public will eventually take it to be the truth.truth.
Outside of the History Channell recounting World War II, no other station airs as many Nazi newsreels as Fox News. Last night – Hannity on some kick about religion. Usually Beck, who loves to state his mandate in front of a Nazi newsreel, while hypocritically aligning everything the government does as Nazism.
The only time Beck, Hannity, Bolton, and the rest of these screamers ever came close to war was in front of their boob tubes, or, a John Wayne movie.
We should have a Simple Platoon especially for these “warriors” and put ‘em on the next flight into Afghanistan.
