Dear Khaliljaan and dear Terry,
You are right and thank you for your excellent effort. I believe there is still time to adjust the strategies, get updated, and to become more informed about Afghanistan. Otherwise it would not take long to have Afghanistan break up into a fragmented state which is neither to the benefit of neighbouring countries nor the Afghan people.

Thank for your profound thoughts.

In the end of the day only Afghans can deal with Afghans. This has been proven throughout the centuries.
The last major one that ratified positively was in 1883.

Mr. Noori,

Today the tribal politics does not work in Afghanisat for the following reasins:

1. It is not the time of AbdurRahman or Nader Shah to play with the mind and heart of the people.
2. Tribal structure has been broken in Afghanistan and new cers of opers emerged.
3. Tribal politics bring within itself, war, conflects, and revengs.
4. Afghanistan is not made of one tribe, there are hundreds of tribes.
5. You can rule socities of 21st century through trabal politics.

Nicely done. You nailed much of one of the most difficult parts of the Af-Pak strategy to bring regional stability there -- and then, to here in the U.S., Europe and the Middle East. The older Afghanis will continue as they have for hundreds, if not thousands of years unless they see something better for them, their children, their neighbors, their neighbor tribes, etc. I believe this can be achieved with the proper foundation, pillars of importance for the region, and a bridge to a lasting set of sovereign, interwoven communities. For lack of a better identity, I call it the Greater Himalayan Common Market, which includes the Hindu Kush to the west and the Arakanase to the East.
