Gordon Duff Calls For Immediate Arrest of 5 Supreme Court Justices for Treason

Constitution in flames

By Gordon Duff

Five members of the Supreme Court declared that a “corporation” is a person, not a “regular person” but one above all natural laws, subject to no God, no moral code but one with unlimited power over our lives, a power awarded by judges who seem themselves as grand inquisitors empowered meant to hunt down all heretics who fail to serve their god, the god of money.

Their ruling has made it legal for foreign controlled corporations to flush unlimited money into our bloated political system to further corrupt something none of us trust and most of us fear.  The “corporation/person” that the 5 judges, the “neocon” purists, have turned the United States over to isn’t even American.  Our corporations, especially since our economic meltdown are owned by China, Russia and the oil sheiks along with a few foreign banks.  They don’t vote, pay taxes, fight in wars, need dental care, breathe air, drive cars or send children to school.  Anyone who thinks these things are people is insane.  Anyone who would sell our government to them is a criminal and belongs in prison.  There is nothing in the Constitution that makes this “gang of five” bribe sucking clowns above the law.  There is nothing in the Constitution that even mentions corporations much less gives them status equal to or greater than the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches of government.

The Supreme Court of the United States has no right to breathe human life into investment groups owned by terrorist sympathizers, foreign arms dealers or groups working for the downfall of the United States and everything we believe in, but 5 “justices” have done just that.  We now have a new government above our government, above our people, one above any law.   Five judges have created institutionalized gangsterism as the new form of government for the United States.

No American soldier can ever go to war fighting for a Chinese hedge fund, a German bank or a Saudi Arabian fertilizer company.  Will our new debates in Congress be between members representing the opium warlords against the Columbian cartels?  Their cash, which long ago has infiltrated one major corporation or bank after another is now heading for your local representative.   How important do you think secure borders for America are for these new political “influencers?”

For years we complained about AIPAC, the Sierra Club, the NRA, trial lawyers, trade unions, NAM (National Association of Manufacturers) and the churches that got involved in politics.  Behind all of these were people, American citizens, and, on some occasions, Americans who fought for their country, raised kids here and were invested in the survival of America although they didn’t always act that way.  This was an American problem.  Now we aren’t even sure we have an America anymore.

Anyone who believes that a massive flood of corporate money into politics won’t throw control of both houses of Congress into the hands of the wealthy nations that are also our primary strategic enemies, you know the ones, the ones loaded with oil cash, the ones with 10 cent an hour labor and legal systems that  shoot first and ask questions later.  They just were told they can buy the United States, not just our government, but our military, and the lives of our soldiers.  They can now make our laws, raise our taxes, decide on our civil rights, where we can live, if we can own guns, how late we stay up, where and what we drive and, eventually, how we think.  The Supreme Court has given foreign owned corporations the eventual power to silence us all.

When a corporation commits a crime, nobody goes to jail.  When wars come, they don’t fight, they simply rake in cash.  When children are poisoned or workers are killed, they seldom even pay a fine.  However, when they want something, billions in tax money for “bail outs” or fat contracts or special laws, they have always gotten it.  It  has been a battle to control corporations for 140 years.  Sometimes the American people have lost, sometimes they have won.  Our greatest presidents are the ones who reined in corporate power and kept the influence of money over humanity in check.  Think of Theodore Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Dwight Eisenhower and John Kennedy.

Without them we would be living in work camps, stuck at machines all day, our children at our sides.  We would be paid in beans and salt pork, dying at 40 in filth like people around the world who live in countries controlled by corporations.

Based on the justices that we want prosecuted being Reagan/Bush “conservatives” you would think this is a liberal/conservative issue.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  Nothing less “conservative” has ever been done by a branch of our government.  There is nothing “conservative” about our Supreme Court going insane and abandoning our Constitution and making medical decisions, not to give life to a fetus, but to a bank account.

This is nothing but an extremely unAmerican and unpatriotic group of thieves believing that Americans had given up so many of their civil liberties in silence during the Global War on Terror scam that opening the “Pandora’s Box” of class conflict could now be done with nobody saying a word.  Their “corporate person” is now a Baron or Duke, the great landlords of the medieval period.  Americans are now destined for serfdom.  Their political and economic theories, what are they?  Is it conservatism or feudalism?

We are already burdened with a representative government that has tied itself to the money spigot because of the incredible cost of media exposure in campaigns.  People running for office in ancient Rome would purchase thousands of animals for slaughter in the arena.  Mass executions were staged as media events for political campaigns.  In fact, the arenas in every Roman city were built for that purpose, today replaced by television and the internet.  We thought we had changed since that time.  We were wrong.

The framers of the Constitution created the Supreme Court, the Electoral College and originally had Senators appointed, not elected, to protect the wealthy from having their money and land seized by the masses who would otherwise have controlled the government.  This was the 1780s.  The only “democracy” we knew about was ancient Athens, where the majority of the people living there were slaves.    27 Amendments later, including the Bill of Rights, we have worked to define justice and decency.  Generations have fought and died to keep life in our imperfect system from 1780.  Who would have thought that 5 people could destroy it all?

Political debate in America is sometimes extreme, often bordering on violence.  Feelings are high.  How many times have you heard people threaten to leave the country because “their America” no longer exists.  We know that few really mean it.  When faced with a real threat, no people on earth are to be feared like Americans.  When help is needed, no people on earth are to be trusted and relied on like Americans.  This is the pride we have in our country and ourselves.  We never agree on anything.  We aren’t supposed to, we are Americans.

Everything we built has been based on a balance, race, religion, ethnicity, social standing, political beliefs, regional interests, all striving and compromising to build something we are all secretly very proud of, something all of us are willing to fight for and many are.  Americans all agree on one thing, that our government in Washington is out of control and has been for some time.  We all have different ideas on this but agree on the fact itself.  We wonder where the politicians come from, men too often “less great” than those of the past, in fact, less great than average.  Decisions are continually made that most find puzzling and, in fact, are driven by a rotten underbelly of corruption and self interest.

Now, 5 members of the Supreme Court, people none of us voted for, a group that is answerable to no authority and, seemingly, no law or moral code, a group famous for immoderation, poor judgement and low personal integrity has, either through blindness, avarice or insanity clearly done something so malicious, so unjust and so utterly inconsistent with our Constitution that they, themselves, have become an “enemy of the people.”

What is their power?  What they have done is not within the scope of the authority given through the Constitution.  Their acts are outside the law, their acts are those of a conspiracy, their acts are meant to diminish our freedoms, our sacred institutions and even endanger our lives.  Typically, such acts are called crimes and those who commit them are criminals.

What could drive judges, albeit judges appointed with little thought as part of a cheap political ploy, to abandon any American constituency?  Corporations have no religion.  They care nothing for the unborn.  They have no allegiance to a flag, a family or any moral ethic.  They serve no person, owe no loyalty other that to stockholders, shadowy groups of Russian oligarchs, Chinese banks, corrupt dictators grown fat on the spoils of their people or the international consortium’s of bond and currency speculators who have, for decades, abandoned any economic law to build the ethereal “house of cards” we call the “world economy.”

The control of the American electoral process has been given to them.  No serving politician can survive now standing against them.  Years ago “they” bought our newspapers and our television networks.  Fact and truth became whatever they wanted us to believe.  “They” gained control of what many thought and what almost all of us see and hear.  That wasn’t enough.  They wanted it all.  As their control has grown, so has terrorism, continual war, economic poverty for millions Americans and insensitivity to justice and humanity.  Who would expect anything else from a corporation with no blood, no heart and no face?

The Founding Fathers led America on the path to freedom and eventual democracy.  The Federalists limited the ability of an impetuous electorate to seize power and “reform” America into chaos and anarchy.  This system of government was predicated on the belief that love of country would always burn brightly in America and with progress, freedom and bounty was the inevitable reward of our industry.  It is only now too obvious that so much has happened that was unforeseen.  It is not a denial of our traditions to correct wrongs when we find them.  This was how America was created.  We are drowning in wrongs, we all finally agree on this.

The time is now.  Party politics have failed.  Political theories are little more than empty rhetoric meant to mislead and misinform.  State has become church and church has become state.  State is less just and church less godly.  All we have left is “we, the People.”  This is how we began and it is now all we have to move forward.  It is time for the states to call for a Constitutional Convention to establish, not just a Republic, but a Democracy, by and for the people, the American people, rich and poor, a nation loyal to itself, not tied to corporations, a vast military industrial complex or endless foreign alliances.

If it is to be a genuinely conservative nation, one with individual freedoms, a small government, fewer taxes and more opportunity, a nation as intended, then we will all have to live with it.  The bloated corpse we are creating in Washington is emitting a stench we can no longer abide.  We will be saying goodbye to our Supreme Court, our seniority system in Congress and our political machines pretending to be “parties”  and hello to paper ballots, a free press, term limits and the ability to yank a scoundrel out of office when we catch one.

I’m so happy that Vets are waking up.

The more Vets, cops, truth tellers and the like see what’s going on the safer we will all be.

    There is a way

Otherwise there will be a modern French revolution but will look more like the L.A. riots.

If we just got rid of income taxes alone we could see prosperity again in our lifetime.

They will be pushing Amnesty this fall- Get ready- The reason is they think they will increase tax revenue, we are completely bankrupt and the NAU. Plus they want more suckers for these B.S. wars.

  2. So so  January 23, 2010 at 4:10 am

I seem to recall a story in the New Testament about a man whom Jesus healed, whose illness caused him to see people as trees and trees as people.

I hope that someday Jesus can heal the Supreme Court Justices so that they will be able to see people as people, trees as trees, and corporations as corporations.

Why didn’t you promote a free constitutional government prior to this. Veterans Today is just as complicit as the judges, politician and bankers. Veterans Today welcomes the Republicans as well as the Democrats. Veterans Today HELPED ruin our country by not speaking up ten years ago. Where were you when we needed you?

At least there is one organization that believes in the Constitution and will fight for it. Follow the VETERANS and Current serving. I will not write what that entity is for if you don’t believe then you are lost.

I hope you rot in hell for your complicity! Your post is a little too late!

As a fellow biker Marine who has been standing up for DECADES I may admit to being ineffective but not at failing to recognize the problem. The first policial candidate I worked for was Adlai Stevenson. I wonder if you remember who he was?

I am alarmed at what has happened. I am a Jewish conservative and Republican. I have been reading many of the comments and disagree with Curt Maynard and his blaming the Jewish people. I guess he would blame the earthquake in Haiti on the Jews.

Think who is really behind things and they are using the Jewish people.

    • Gordon Duff  January 23, 2010 at 4:02 am

Suggest you read some of jeff gates articles. his videos…i think they are under my name….are good. there are several honest dialogs that need to occur between american jews, traditional liberal and new “neocons” regarding Israeli influence in the US.

If you accept the theory popular in Israel, that America is corrupt and self destructive then current policies exploiting america as force multiplier in rebuilding the khazar empire is justified.

If israel has written off America as hopeless, my question is what is it about israel that shows any potential except for building a corrupt military dictatorship of their own, something they are well on their way to now?

“Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear: Don’t worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it.” – Israeli Prime Minister, Ariel Sharon, October 3, 2001

    New motto:
    “We, The Corporations”.
This is just a natural development of a country which has given herself to international parasites.
And this is just a beginning too.

  7. Jacob  January 23, 2010 at 2:34 am

Now if someone would give me the definition of a “U.S. entity”, that would be wonderful. You see, the North American Free Trade Agreement contains that definition, but it is being ignored for TN visas for professional employment by certain State Agencies.

I’m more familiar with law than politics, but could you press for legislation which obliged any political party receiving such funding to delare on all its promotional material “WARNING – THIS PARTY IS FUNDED BY A FOREIGN CORPORATION”, like a democratic equivalent of a public health warning?

    • Gordon Duff  January 23, 2010 at 3:55 am

This drug cartel funds a corporation that funds a political party that controls a government who duty it is to police drug cartels.

When the scotus (no caps) ruled we had a right to vote but no right that it be counted, half the people cried, “Democracy died!” and half exhaulted, “We won!” Now this. No person should go to work again until this is rectified, hopefully the way John Hancock would have done it. He signed nice and large, daring the king to hang him. Modern Americans either cry in their beer or think somehow “their” side “won”. Does anyone think our founding fathers WOULDN’T of hung these traitors from a lightpost?
Ironically, democracy was born and died in a teacup.
Can I have my 4 years of loyal service back?
I can’t wait to see the new Enron Supreme Court building, the Exxon White House, and the Bahrain House of Congress.
Gee, just think, my grandson can enlist to fight for a Chinese Bank in the good ol’ US Army! (Thought it will probably be called the “Bank of America Army.)

  11. Citizenry  January 23, 2010 at 1:24 am

YOU SAY: “Our corporations… are owned by China, Russia and the oil sheiks along with a few foreign banks.”

Well, “YOU ARE A LIAR”, and are just spinning this re-hash of an 1886 decision — and diverting attention away from the REAL situation.

THAT real situation is that “OUR” corporations are controlled and owned by jews, the supreme court puppet-creatures are owned and controlled by jews, and these supreme-court conspirators just took away any legal restrictions for those jewish corporations to outright own and control their political lackeys in government.

You are nothing but a SPIN DOCTOR, diverting attention from WHO the real players are, HOW they are seizing control of the mechanisms of government, finance, and society, and WHY this nation is being raped and plundered in exactly same way that countless other nations throughout history have been raped and plundered by these historical nation-wreckers. The supreme court justices are nothing but petty co-conspirators. It would be more to the point to purge the puppet-masters out of their nests in banking, government, and media, and prosecute the lot of them for conspiracy and racketeering under existing laws. But, of course, they already own the judicial system, and that won’t happen, so people will have to continue to suffer with pandering apologists and diversionists LIKE YOU, and sit back and watch with our own eyes as this country gets blatantly overrun and raped by these nationless Bolshevics.

You don’t have the guts to call a spade a spade, and your presumed outrage and shock is but a considered, self-serving literary posturing.

Johnny Punish says:”They must be jailed immediately and put on trial for crimes against freedom and democracy”

So I ask all of you reading this…How do we accomplish this? does anyone know a general, or someone like the provost marshall that could go up against these traitors? Someone out there must have a family member high in the military that sees this as the coup it is? How do we fight the traitors in Washington when they are ALL traitors to our great republic and to themselves. in the 1700’s farmers and neighbors with little or no training took on the British military the greatest power in the world and won, how are “We the People” going to honor the lives lost to protect this Republic from tyrants? funny I do not see mobs with pitchforks in their hands at the steps of the Supreme court, rather they are all hypnotically drooling while watching Haiti or the latest episode of freekin Jersey Shore or whatever gelatinous goo making tv dribble they are feeding you and I?

Tell me please as I await and will stand with any true American Leadership!

  13. ballantine  January 23, 2010 at 12:44 am

Beautiful, man. Nice piece, nicely said. I will sign the petition too, just point me to it. Meanwhile I can suggest something too – it’s Amendment A: “if you don’t vote, you don’t contribute”. It’s a very simple concept, if you aren’t a registered voter then you shouldn’t be influencing our elections by monetary means. After all, this is what the case s about – BUYING ELECTIONS. It disenfrachises each and every American voter. Thank you for publishing your piece, nice job. I’ll let my friends know about it.

  14. CaitlinO  January 22, 2010 at 11:46 pm

I have an idea. If the justices think that we need MORE involvement of corporations in our government, let’s put the seats at SCROTUS up for auction to the highest bidders. We can have a Justice of Exxon-Mobil, a Justice of Microsoft, a Justice of Goldman-Sucks, etc. It’s a lot more efficient use of stockholder’s money since it’s much less expensive to buy 9 justices than it is to buy 100 senators, 400 plus congressmen and 50 governors.

If we’re going to completely subvert our democracy and our highest institutions, we may as well do it for the most economical price possible.

The Founding Fathers were an educated bunch, successful, wealthy businessmen who knew well how to use their mother tongue. Clearly if they had wanted to extend essential liberties to businesses, they could easily have said so.

I went through my copies of the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights last night. I found the following mentions:

    People: 17
    Human: 1
    Person 18
    Persons 10
    Corporation: 0

Zero mention of corporations. Just which constitution are our justices reading, anyway?

  15. CaitlinO  January 22, 2010 at 11:41 pm

    Abso-frikkin-lutely 100 percent right!!

Can you get a petition up? Should we be asking for a constitutional convention or a constitutional amendment?

Grunch of Giants by R. Buckminster Fuller

One of the greatest thinkers of our time and his assult on the Corporation. All so predictable.

The only way out I can see is either outlaw lobbying and corporate ‘contributions’ or federally funded elections. If TPTB had to take one, I guess it would be #2, as that would entrench for eternity the Republicrat/Democan power structure.

    I feel revolt brewing.

well, it’s “the people” who keep on shopping at walmart and banking with goldman or citigroup

where do you bank, mr. revolutionary? where do you shop?

if 30 million americans withdrew their money from the major banks, trashed their credit cards and sold their TVs, the war would be over

the Supreme Court has been protecting First Amendment rights of corporations since 1978’s FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF BOSTON v. BELLOTTI, 435 U.S. 765 and before. Take a look at these cases before you pretend to be shocked that this week’s Supreme Court decision has “all of the sudden” compared corporations to “persons” (which it has been doing since 1886) and given them unprecedented constitutional rights:

    Time, Inc. v. Firestone, 424 U. S. 448 (1976); Doran v. Salem Inn, Inc., 422 U. S. 922 (1975); Southeastern Promotions, Ltd. v. Conrad, 420 U. S. 546 (1975); Cox Broadcasting Corp. v. Cohn, 420 U. S. 469 (1975); Miami Herald Publishing Co. v. Tornillo, 418 U. S. 241 (1974); New York Times Co. v. United States, 403 U. S. 713 (1971)(per curiam); Time, Inc. v. Hill, 385 U. S. 374 (1967); New York Times Co. v. Sullivan, 376 U. S. 254; Kingsley Int’l Pictures Corp. v. Regents of Univ. of N. Y., 360 U. S. 684 (1959); Joseph Burstyn, Inc. v. Wilson , 343 U. S. 495 (1952) ); see, e.g., Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. v. FCC, 520 U. S. 180 (1997); Denver Area Ed. Telecommunications Consortium, Inc. v. FCC, 518 U. S. 727 (1996); Turner, 512 U. S. 622; Simon & Schuster, 502 U. S. 105; Sable Communications of Cal., Inc. v. FCC, 492 U. S. 115 (1989); Florida Star v. B. J. F., 491 U. S. 524 (1989); Philadelphia Newspapers, Inc. v. Hepps, 475 U. S. 767 (1986); Landmark Communications, Inc. v. Virginia, 435 U. S. 829 (1978); Young v. American Mini Theatres, Inc., 427 U. S. 50 (1976); Gertz v. Robert Welch, Inc., 418 U. S. 323 (1974); Greenbelt Cooperative Publishing Assn., Inc. v. Bresler, 398 U. S. 6 (1970)

Gordon you;ve out done yourself with the Supremes putsch story. They have to be stopped. March, bang pots/pans, scream, yell, write, blog, and most of all go after these punks. They cannot get away with this. A handful of greedy bastards that cleaned out the culture in the first place now want to take our TARP money and buy our reps, which they have done so many times before? Why because Obama took none of their flithy money and they can’t stand him? To hell with them. Its us vs them. Corporatist phony bastards….this will not stand.

  23. Johnny Punish  January 22, 2010 at 10:12 pm

Americans are a great people, doing super things in Haiti saving lives and providing relief and hope. What we do and are is extremely important, not only here at home, but what we provide in the world. Saving the USA is mission critical. Therefore, in the interest of the people, I join Mr. Duff in calling for the arrest of these traitors to the people. They must be jailed immediately and put on trial for crimes against freedom and democracy. We the people are in charge, NOT we the corporate interests and a few old men wearing sold out dress! COME ON PEOPLE! WE ARE AMERICANS AND AMERICA IS STILL A GREAT COUNTRY!

  24. John  January 22, 2010 at 10:11 pm

In Brown v Board of Education, the Supreme Court specifically states that they can stray from the Constitution when it is in the better interest. In that they decided to de-segregate schools, though the Constitution does not mandate that result. In this case the pure greed of the court comes in to play. They could have decided that a corporation is a person but that free speech does not apply. They could have also said the overwhelming risk of corruption of the government is so great that in good conscience they can not allow unlimited spending on puppet candidates. The court did not and came to this decision that they are powerless under the law. The truth of the matter is they probably realize the profit to be made in handing the country further into the hands of corporations. I only hope they have looked at this past recession. When their corporate buddies collapse this country who will keep them safe? I know, I for one will be living in their mansion and they will pay penance through service.

  25. Dave Winnett  January 22, 2010 at 10:02 pm

I agree with the sentiment, but let’s not forget that it is the PEOPLE of America who cast the votes. Corporations may be able to bankroll campaigns full of lies and misinformation, but Americans make the final decision when they enter the ballot box. That said, now more than ever it is critically important that the American people wake up and pay attention to what is happening to our country. Get informed, stay informed. I saw a hint of that in this week’s special election in Massachusetts.

  26. Pete  January 22, 2010 at 9:55 pm

This is like reading General Smedley Darlington Butler. I really appreciate the obvious care with which this essay was written. If you decide to form a political party, count me in!

So by the slow march of liberalization Almighty God is removed from where the founders of the U.S. placed Him – at the foundation of civil, political, and religious liberty, the truest definition of “tolerance” – and there’s little more than murmuring among Americans….but when the politicized overseers of the Charter of the CORPORATION OF THE UNITED STATES say its OK for other corporations to influence the already-tainted electoral process, you call for heads to roll?

Brothers and sisters it’s time we remind ourselves from who the powers of the State are derived – not just from the consent of the governed but by God Himself. We have allowed a foreign usurper who is by definition NOT a natural born U.S. citizen to bring this nation to the brink of anarchy, and it’s apparent neither the Supreme Court nor the ballot box will rectify the damage done over the last 20 years. Use your brain, listen to your heart and cry out to God for his mercy and to spare us the judgment this nation so richly deserves.

  28. Johnny  January 22, 2010 at 9:06 pm

Democracy died yesterday, the date will become significant. With each passing year, the date of 01/21/10 will become more and more meaningful, it will be mentioned in the same breath as 1776.

It’s really a shame, the day was allowed to pass with little mention, just a snippet here and there, a few words from the talking heads, then back we go to the mind numbing gossip of Tiger Woods, John Edwards and Haiti, but mostly it was Haiti. But painfully little coverage, and even less outrage about the most monumental shifts in the very foundation, the government of the Unites States of America.

This will absolutely, without the shadow of any doubt, a COMPLETE CERTAINTY, This will change each and every life of each and every citizen of the U.S.

My God, I just can’t believe it happened, it really happened. We are all doomed, our concept of American government, America herself, will forever be recognized as Pre-2010 and Post-2010.

    We are all doomed.

So, basically the Whitehouse is now on SALE!

How much will it take to make the sheep in this country see that the system does not work, the vote solves nothing, corruption is our way of government.

Less than this started the revolution against Britain, I fear there is no courage, no will and no chance the people will save themselves.

This is a sad day for a once free and proud people, who have their sons and daughters fighting to make the rich even richer, while they give away the very country they live in.

I will never again call myself an American, the word tastes foul in my mouth now, to be counted among the cowards will not do.

This article hits the nail on the head.. or is it an image of the last nail in our coffin. Is the US Constitution dead?

  33. HIGH TREASON  January 22, 2010 at 8:29 pm

Gordon, if something isn’t done about these scum, Alito and Rogers and the Scalia, as in arrest them and imprison them for life for HIGH TREASON, then they might as well take the declaration of independence out of the glass case so they can all piss on it, same goes for the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights.

We’re finished as a nation if this ruling stands. We’ve known that corruption was bad, but this is the veritable last straw.

These slime need to be tried, but once they are convicted, they need to hang by their scummy treasonous necks until they are deceased and rendered INERT.

  34. BlackJesus  January 22, 2010 at 8:23 pm

Why not just incorporate? We all have the right to do so, I did and welcome this as good news.

  35. Tom Barnes  January 22, 2010 at 8:22 pm

Of course, you are correct. There is no doubt that big money thrown into an election anywhere on the planet can eventually get exactly what it wants…on any level…in any election. We have thousands of years of human history that point to the nobles and their minions getting whatever they wished…and the serfs left to eat the scraps, if there indeed were any scraps to eat. That is what we have here.

But don’t lose heart. The next election cycle will be a debacle because of this, and almost certainly the one after that will be the same.

But Americans are a funny tenacious people, although traditionally they are very impatient.

At some point, a conservative constituency will get angry that organized labor bought an election. At the same time, a liberal constituency will fume over the fact that international corporations bought an election in the same election cycle. You have to remember, there are left wing blocs of money and power as well as right wing blocs of power.

If Hugo Chavez and Rauol Castro and their allies througout the so-called non-aligned world had any sense they would be organizing right now to finance every ultra-left wing socialist nutjob that they could find to run for Congress next time. If they had any sense, they would keep this very quiet. Within twenty years, if they continued to secretly finance American politics, we would have a communist and/or socialist government without doubt.

They would not have to fire a shot, they would bring down our democratic republic with their money and their influence over those who have no time for us who in fact have money. Elections can be bought now. Our enemies and those who fear our economic might will now buy them. Once their people are in place, the Republic falls.

I would not be surprised if every international corporation that backs a Republican next time is met in kind with funding from a secret cabal of socialist governments and juntas wanting “their” man or woman in Congress and the Senate.

Sit back and watch. Those who investigate the big money boys in elections from now on and find out for us just who exactly is funding these candidates will be the 21st Century version of the 1930s police reporter. Their every article will be devoured with intense interest by the drones (us) who will not be able to control events in the electorate.

This is going to be like the 1930s except this time the drug of choice will be cabals secretly financing the public officials of their choice. The Wild West is back among us.

Just about the only time Gordon and I have EVER agreed completely on ANYTHING.

This country has reached such a state of moral and political rottenness, that it’s been nearly impossible to think that it can be saved from itself. The only occurrences of possible hope I’ve seen to date have been the subjects of scathing articles from VT: the “teabaggers” and “dipstick rednecks” out demonstrating against Obama and the miserable group of bastards occupying Congress.
Despite countless media attacks against them, people like Coakley, Byrd, Reid, and many others soon to come, are finding out that the “teapartiers”, Limbaugh’s, Beck’s and Coulter’s, IRREGARDLESS of their hatred by Gordon and most VT staff writers, have awakened a growing number of American citizens. Articles such as this, are exttremely valuable ammunition to be used very soon by them. The growing call to remove all incumbents is not a joke, or an impossible thought. To that end, then by all means we should work to get rid of the imbecilic lifetime tenures of the Supreme Court Justices. And we can do it. Kudos Gordon.

damn it, now larry walls is agreeing with me. we have been arguing in emails for years.

  37. Hilary  January 22, 2010 at 8:03 pm

Corporations are not people. Money is not speech. Only by conveniently-twisted logic could it be argued otherwise.

Now that SCOTUS has forced our hand, public campaign finance is the only way to solve the problem of (now) legalized bribery. After all, why shouldn’t we, the People, pay for OUR own elections? I can’t think of a better use of tax-payer money.

In the meantime, the five-justice majority ought to be charged with treason.

  38. Truth Excavator  January 22, 2010 at 7:55 pm

This is treason in plain sight. Any self-respecting judge knows the dire consequences of this ruling for democracy and the health of the nation. This is a serious abuse of the law and the American people.

  39. Davol  January 22, 2010 at 7:45 pm

Right on. Where’s the petition for me to sign. I wanted 5 of these Supreme Court Justices arrested after Bush vs. Gore. There’s never an Impeachment around here for what really needs Impeaching. Curruption abounds.

  40. btaylor  January 22, 2010 at 7:15 pm

    You are absolutly correct…
Where are our legislators screaming about this SC decision..where are the ropes and horses..
Ill bet not more than one or two have the guts to go after this..and if they dont
what then..How do we make this the focal point..of the next few months..

Are we going to stand by and allow the destruction of our nation.??
For those of you who think this is a liberal agenda attacking the SC decision..You are wrong..You are supporting the loss of our way of life..
