U.S. ambassador puts brakes on plan to utilize Afghan militias against Taliban – W.P.
In today’s Washington Post we read an article entitled U.S. ambassador puts brakes on plan to utilize Afghan militias against Taliban . We seem to be running around in several directions at once.
As my paternal grandmother was fond of saying to me when I was a child and acted like I did not know what I wanted, “you look like an on-again, off-again Corrigan! What is it you want?” That’s us in Afghanistan, on-again off-again Corrigan.
Do we have any idea what we actually want out of that situation over there? Or is this debacle just one more way to get promotions for high ranking officers in the military and the government and make money for war industry captains, emerging market speculators and international banksters who see a chance to make another cool billion or two? I am just asking.
