Now it seems that even the legal immigrants are getting pissed at those who come here illegally. Welcome to the land of America my friend, a land where the most covetted jobs are given to those who should be asking, "Do you want that large or extra-large?".

On a side note, it's the same way in most places if you look at requiements. Think, they want you to have 2 or 3 years experience in an area of work... yet it's for an entry level possition. WHY? It's almost disheartening to the point of making me want to quit trying to move up...

Good morning. We may not imagine how our lives could be more frustrating and complex--but Congress can.
I am from Kyrgyzstan and also am speaking English, tell me right I wrote the following sentence: "The slaves are again allowing and if you depend mortgagee suddenly you're in concept, mortgage note."

Best regards :-D, Jagger.

If I have never been debriefed from any the 25+ code word, limited access, programs I was read into, is my clearance terminated anyway after 5 years? How do I know I can share with my kids about what I learned?

I was born in a foreign country and I came in U.S. 10 years ago. Meanwhile I become U.S. citizen and recently I apply for a job. The answer was: “NO” because I do not have security clearance. (They did not mention in the Ad that I need one). I would be willing to apply for one, no problem, but only an organization could do it, not me. So, let’s review: I do not get the job because I do not have a security clearance, and I do not have a security clearance because I do not have a job in an institution that would apply for one… On the top of this I was laid off from the company that I worked before and they keep in the job a Mexican guy that not only is not citizen but even does not have Green Card and he is commuting from Tijuana every day (he is not spending the money in U.S.).
NICE. EVERYTHIG SUCKS!

Steven G,

Even though you had a clearance while in the USMC, it would have long since expired. In order to get a new clearance, a person must be in a job position requiring a clearance. Sort of the old "need to know" policy, clearances are not issued without the requirement to have one.

I had a secret secuirty clearance in USMC and was discharged in 1976, I know that is is expired however, can I renew it without being in Military as a lot of security contractors require clearances for certain jobs. Without being in military how can I apply for update and then appply to private security contractor? Thanks
