Re: Dworkin:
I had never heard of you until 2 days ago and the fact you have been overlooked for consideration to the Supreme Court is transparent by you article , as is your hysteria regarding anything that is put out by the big bad corporation. Come in from the cold please! Maybe you should take a few classes in liberal arts.

Dworkin's analysis is ridiculous and doesn't even deal with the crux of the majority's arguments, starting with the fact that nowhere does the Constitution even remotely give the government the power to tell businesses, unions, or nonprofits that they can't buy political ads. That is a brazen violation of the right of free speech guaranteed by the First Amendment.

These macabre doom-and-gloom predictions about the consequences of the decision simply ignore history. Indirect contributions (i.e., political ads paid for by a corporation itself) were not addressed in law until 1947 (please, no one try to cite the 1907 Tillman Act--that's a non-starter). Gee, I seemed to recall that liberals did pretty well at electing fellow liberals to Congress and to the White House prior to 1947. Furthermore, the 1947 act was a wet noodle that was rarely if ever enforced. Campaign finance law as we know it didn't come into being until the 1970s.

Finally, allow me to debunk Gordon Duff's hysteria that the decision opens the door for foreign companies and foreign nationals to buy political ads. No, it does not. In fact, the ruling specifically excludes foreign-owned corporations and foreign nations. Gordon would know that if he'd bother to actually read the decision.
