On debt, Canada shows us the way out – Washington Post

In today’s Washington Post there is an article entitled On debt, Canada shows us the way out in which we see that Canada has produced a miracle in reducing its enormous government-generated debt in the past eleven years.  We need to take a look at how they did it.

Way to go Canada for leading the way!  Merci des Canadiens ! (de vos admirateurs et amis américains).

  1. Its a bit unfair and even bordering on crazy to compare a country of 300,000,000 plus to a country of 30,000,000. This whole article is a spin article with political twists. My sister, who has duel citizenship, is a teacher in Canada and constantly complains about their health care. My neice had a kidney stone and she had to wait for three months for surgery then it was postpones again. She came to Michigan and had it done within two weeks. The GDP of Canada is 1/10 of what this country is. Canada is 12th per capita (GDP) and the US 4th. They have higher taxes and sales tax in ALL of their provinces. As it has been said,….tread lightly on looking to Canada to fix things.
