What an honor and privaledge to witness the successes from Gen. Kight. As the cornerstone of our family here on the westcoast, I believe that she will continue to strive and deliver for the state of California and its uniformed members, as she routinely does at home. Humbling, a courageous mentor, friend, and Aunt, she is one of the most influential people I can say that I know, love and aspire to be.

I am convienced the California National Guard will be the best in the world with General Kight at the helm. I have known her and admired her work for 25+ years. I spent nearly 40 years in the military, several of those years serving under General Kight. With all my military experience, I can think of no one that is more qualified or deserving to be the top Military leader in California than General Kight. If I were still serving, she would be the one I would want to follow into combat. Congratulations to her. I know her family is proud of her.
