Sarah Palin Smackdown! Elites Run for Cover

February 7, 2010 by Michael Leon · 13 Comments

Update: Those not yet convinced of the brilliance of this magnificent woman can see the video below at the end of this piece.
Sarah Palin’s address at the Tea Party Nation (TPN) convention in Nashville and follow-up Fox Newsinterview broadcast Sunday morning dealt a crippling blow to the political hopes of American liberals, elitists, socialists, and all manner of Wiccans.

Such elitist luminaries as Noam Chomsky, Jeff Gates, Uri Avnery, Gordon Duff and Mr. Know-it-all Glenn Greenwald over at Salon were schooled Palin-style, as she reportedly “bounded onstage to cries of ‘run, Sarah, run’ and then delivered a stinging rebuke of President Obama while striking a populist, even folksy tone. Serving up fiery rhetoric with a broad smile, she attacked the administration’s policies on the economy and on national security, assailing in particular the decision to read Miranda rights to the man accused of attempting to bomb a U.S. airliner on Christmas Day,” the birthday of the Lord (Philip Rucker and Ann Gerhart, Washington Post, Feb. 7, 2010).

Sarah, oh Sarah, what ever made you want to change your mind? … So easy to look at, so hard to define.

Five years after Palin’s church, the Wasilla Assembly of God,launched a crash spiritual project protecting Palin from “the spirit of witchcraft,”—ultimately seeing her elected as governor of Alaska where she served a brief tenure while also running as the 2008 vice-presidential nominee for the Republican Party—Palin’s paid speech at TPNsent Israeli critic, Jeff Gates, fleeing out of the country to Pakistan where Gates reportedly will be meeting with elements of the American ally’s large Islamic population, planning the next caliphate.

Assuming the national political stage after her wildly successful book tour ended in December, Palin brandished on her lapel a small pin composed of two flags, those of Israel and the United States, as she offered advice and a warning to President Obama on the policy of not waging war against Iran in support of Israeli militarism.

Reports Mike Madden (Salon):

‘Say [Pres. Obama] played the war card,’ she said, casually name-checking Pat Buchanan, whose column apparently inspired this bit of analysis. ‘Say he decided to declare war on Iran or decided to really come out and do whatever he could do to support Israel — which I’d like him to do. That changes the dynamics and what we can assume is gonna happen between now and three years. Because I think if the election were today, I do not think Obama would be elected.’

It’s not so much that Palin thinks Obama would declare war on the 17th most populous country in the world just to win re-election. It’s more that if he did do something like that, it would give people second thoughts about his failed presidency.

Another noted critic of Israeli militarism and the apocalyptic-Christian rapture alliance, Gordon Duff, a combat Marine Vietnam War veteran and senior editor of Veterans Today, was unreachable by phone this morning.

Duff went into hiding where he is “reconsidering his anti-American ideology” and asking himself why he “hates America” after viewing the Palin address on C-Span’s Recent Programs, said a source who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the topic.

In a related development, an examination of the comments on a recent piece at Veterans Today, Christians Desecrate Wiccan Religious Site at Air Force Academy, reveals that commenting Wiccans and humanists’ e-mail suffixes often end in “edu,” demonstrating that many readers of the popular site’s Wiccan piece are elitists.

Meanwhile, another snotty female elitist living in DC, Wonkette, was largely silent on her site, apparently cowed by Palin’s address that was delivered just months after the elitist had derided Palin as “Clown Moose” and “Noted Dingbat.”

Said a Palin supporter living in Wisconsin who refused to give his name to a “liberal-looking” questioner, “You elitists can take your fancy footnotes and your rules of inference and stick ‘em in northern Alaska when all the Sun does is shine and shine.”

Sarah Palin truly represents the dumbest level of US slogan politics. She would not be out of place in “South Park”. Is she blood-related to Dumble-U Bush?
It is really frightening to see the calibre of candidates who rush to lead the US to Armageddon.

  2. Tom Dillman says:

Sorry dodos. I’d vote for Palin in an Alaskan summer minute. She doesn’t have to be brilliant to be smarter than that mess in WDC today. She’d give this country a big dose of common sense, something sadly missing since Harry Truman retired to his country home.

It scares me and probably most of the world outside the USA when we see the huge support an idiot like Sarah Palin has in America.

Surely to become president of the most powerful country in the world requires some basic education or intelligence and being a MILF who hunts and repeats populist slogans is not enough. A bit of history or geography wouldn’t go a miss either and surely a belief that creating a 3rd world war in the middle east in the hope that Jesus will zap every God fearing Christian up to heaven in a split second is enough to have you barred from any kind of political office?

Maybe we just expect a little more from our leaders but if she ever got elected I would spend the next 4-8 yrs hiding in a nuclear bomb shelter with my fingers crossed.

  4. spktruth says:

Sarah Palin shouldnt be running for Prom Queen. The fool actually wrote on her hand talking points. No she didnt need a teleprompter….for $100,000 the witch wrote on her hand. How anyone can not see through this vile opportunist. She and her husband were running Alaska like it was their own fiefdom. Have you not seen the “email stories”, proving that the Dude was actually engaging Alaska government business. He was emailing people as to “who to vote for”, and if you all think this twit family is so kool…..what about not paying their taxes? Doesnt that make you see REDDDDDDDD!

    • Michael Leon says:

Hey, it’s hard to rememember all that stuff like “Energy,” “Lift American Spirits,” “Budget” and “tax cut” stuff. Only you elitists would disparage this woman sent from God for not remembering issuey thinks that you are so obsessed with, unlike real Americans.

  5. spktruth says:

Dillman: The twit didnt no basic history. She didnt know what the Vice President does? This is someone you want to be a leader? Leader of what? She would take this country off a cliff. You need to stop blaming Obama for the mess created by 8 years of the wallstreet bankster/gangsters from Ronald Reagun to the Bush Crime Family. Clinton was no better. He is claimed for being the first black president….what a joke! He was a corporate democrat who took the Democratic party and turned it into the corporate Democratic Party, just like the Republican Party always has been. Both of these parties have seen their better days. But pushing for the numbnuts like Palin to represent anyone is the absolute dumbest idea ever!

  6. Bob Y says:

Am I reading you right? You say Palin is downing the powers in DC, (Obama mostly), yet you beat on him like there is no end when it is in your favor to do so. You blame Bush and his crew for what Obama has to put up with. He is like Bush and is doing nothing more than killing more of our troopers in a war we can’t win. He has added more to the deficit and still adding more. He thought that by giving us more to spend by not taken out so much income tax is a good deal. BS. Some poor souls are going to have a hard time paying in this year. Gee, I got 500 bucks more to spend. Yea, right, now I will have to pay in more than that. Glad I’m able and not some of them that can’t. That is one of the most dumb things he has done. He does not how to say Corpsman. Did you miss that the other night? He said it like, Copsman. haha Regards, Bob

    • Steve60 says:

Did anyone catch also the night of his speech to the nation. After it was over he entered the crowd and shook hands with the Congress. He shook hands with the man in front of VA Sec Shinseki and the one after and ignored him! I would rather listen to someone who seems to be honest and sincere than lie like the present president is doing. He is plain and simply not listening to the people and doesn’t care too. That, in itself might be considered extremely stupid if one looks at it. Palin has the elitist world nervous and they do not know how to handle it. As far as the $100,000 goes, she gave it back to the tea party people. But whats more important than that is this…..does the news media ask other people in her position how much they are getting for a speech? I do not think at this time anyway, Obama is leading us down the rosy road toward what this country needs and it isn’t what he thinks, ignoring common sense and the people.

      • SgtMaj says:

Aboslutely right. If Fox news started pounding Sec Clinton, if she had a pregnant daughter and a downs syndrome child, they would be really hammered. I give Palin credit, she ignores them.

        • SgtMaj says:

Oh yes, former President Clinton will speak to an Arab faction in their country and receive one and a half million, hammer this country’s former president (whether you like him or not) and MSNBC, NBC, ABC do not say anything.

  7. Lese Majeste says:

An Evangelical Christian who’s petty, ignorant of world affairs, has trouble stringing together coherent sentences and is willing to send more of our kids off to die fighting wars for Israel.

Just what we need for prez, a female GW Bush.

When you see Sarah weeping at Yadda Yadda Yadda Vashem, you’ll know the fix is in.

  8. LauraNo says:

Wonkette wasn’t silent. She was reporting that Palin had to write cheat notes on her hand to remember her answers to pre-screened questions. Not exactly a sharp mind, there.

    • Michael Leon says:

I know. I was being facetious that Sarah could cow Wonkette, I just happen to look at the site to she what she was saying Sunday, and couldn’t find anything.

I love her “Clown Moose” and “Noted Dingbat” and “Dumb Sarah Palin … ” asides. Cracks me up.

Got the video from Wonkette’s site.

Hundreds of thousands of servicemen were exposed to asbestos over decades, especially during the period from 1940 to 1980. Asbestos was used in construction of naval vessels as well as shore facilities. All branches of the military used asbestos, which was also widely used in civilian applications. Asbestos can cause mesothelioma. Because this cancer has a particularly long latency period, many servicemen who were exposed years ago are now developing this disease. - Mesothelioma Patient & Family Resources: Mesotheliomahelp is provided by Belluck & Fox, LLP as a comprehensive resource for mesothelioma victims and their families.  The site provides up-to-date information on the latest news and treatment options as well as an easy to use search feature to find local mesothelioma doctors and health care clinics.  - We fight for veterans harmed by asbestos: Veterans with mesothelioma or asbestos-related lung cancer should know they have options: the opportunity to bring a suit against manufacturers and sellers of the asbestos that caused their illness.
