you haven't been in the military long enough if you think there's a sense of comraderie or brotherhood. it's just a bunch of self serving mother fuckers ripping each other apart to get themselves ahead. my advice is don't trust anyone, and always cover your ass

well written chief. i hate to tell you this but it would be a complete waste of time and money to have leaders undergo any type of psychiatric evaluation.they have the answers to the tests. they, like some of the priests in the catholic chrurches, volunteer organizations like peace corps, etc have infiltrated our organizations. they have done their homework by studying us just as we do our enemies. they know what it takes to get in. they know that large organizations are a place to go. they listen and learn. they know what it takes to climb to the top. they become our so called, "pillars to the community," our "pride and joy," our, "war heroes," our "beyond the call of duty" our run to "our beckoned call," etc. once numerous titles have been established how could they do wrong? how dare anyone accuse a graduate of a prestigous university who has been to many wars and has numerous medals and awards be accused of anything? this is why the military and other large organizations are in a tizzy. we have been infiltrated by the enemy. to add salt to the wound, problems are kept quiet because it is an embarrassment. the enemy knows this and continues to do his dirt. (yes we have some skank azz women who do dirt to,)
the only time it is publicized is when wayyyyyyyyy toooooo manyyyyyy people know the secret. the organization has to do damage control and that is how the public finds out. Canada? their pansy laws are so weak, that i doubt if anything serious happens to him.

He is the worst example of a very common, self delusional, egoistic and sociopathic mindset that I have seen in over 24 years active duty in the U.S. Coast Guard among "professional officers". He is not all that different from many of the megalomaniacs that I worked for.

He is a nut for sure. There are plenty of them in the officer corps. It is filled with them. This guy is an extreme example of a common character flaw. He is nuts.

Good luck, the answer is ...... be a loyal, humble man with integrity. The Bible may be a start for you, but don't be a man of one book. You have to genuinely care about the people who serve under you, and for those that you serve. All issues have to be faced head on, without prejudice...I think that's called COURAGE.
The fact that Col Williams may be a serial killer was shocking and have an emotional impact all of us, but I am sure that the impact has been unthinkable for he victims families, including the Colonel's.
As for some of the previous comments, I must disagree. This guy is different, as most wing commanders are not spending their spare time killing women.

I was told by my Commanding Officer not to talk with any media. Having said this I choose not to identify myself, and anything said below is entirely my opinion and not necessarily the opinion of the DND/CF. Nevertheless I will say that I am an Officer in Canada's Air Force.

I have to tell you that I am straight out of basic Officer training. I haven't even been in the Canadian Forces for a year. This has struck me in a odd way, I obviously feel "shocked" as what everybody is saying, but the odd thing about this is that I do not understand how this is possible.

I always believed that the Military made people more disciplined and more gentlemanly. I thought that the Military turned men into brothers, and helped to increase the standard of man. I joined the Military to get these characteristics, because I know that I want them.

I will be looking to the Bible for answers, as I have non here. I can tell you that the Officers that I know are family men. I would wish that there was more community involvement here though, again I haven't been in that long, so I don't necessarily know what most Military people do on their free time.

My image of an Officer in that high of a position, was someone who should be community oriented. Someone who should be concerned about the welfare of citizens, weather in his Country or not. I would have thought that these characteristics would have grown into the man after so long in the Military.

Maybe you're right, maybe there are some who join wishing the opposite of what the Military and the Canadian Forces is suppose to represent. Again I will be looking for answers by reading the Bible or speaking with my Wing Padre.

Take Care,

Some Officer

You hit the nail on the head when you said, in essence, losing the lives of these young men means nothing to these guys who are power tripping!!!!

Thank god I don't have any one serving in the military.
