The Israelis have consciously orchestrated acute misery and poverty in the Palestinian territories over the past two decades in an effort to subdue and ethnically cleanse the captive population.

Go back and do some more research Chris, the Israeli’s have been in their ethnic cleansing mode of Palestinians since 1948, starting with the numerous slaughters of the indigenous Palestinians and the ‘wiping off the face of the Earth’ hundreds of their villages as soon as the U.N.created Israel in 1948.

A magnificent speech, it is a shame that it was only one-sided. The speaker is calling to boycott Israel, and to start talking with Hamas on the grounds that it is “the only game in town. What happened to the PLO? Did I miss a meeting? I am sure Mahmud Abbas is doing to be furious with that remark.
The speaker describes Yasser Arafat as a lovely fellow and a leader to make peace with. Well, attempts were made, and they were unsuccessful. Meanwhile, till the day he died, Arafat funneled Palestinian funds to his Swiss bank account, indeed a leader of the people, a robin hood that steals from the poor, and pockets the lot.
The speaker, mentioned and paraded his Jewish upbringing. For what? What was the purpose of that? I advise the speaker not to add religion to an already inflamed issue.
Hamas is a fundamentalist organization, you just have to read their charter to realize that this group does not exist for the benefit of the Palestinians, but to entrench their version of Islam, by causing maximum destruction. And the speaker has fallen to the trap, of validating a view, that states that the conflict is a religious one.
The current Israeli government has agreed in principal to a two state solution. is that policy unacceptable? The speaker demands action to be taken by the British government to tell off the Israeli government and in the process completely undermined the PLO and strengthen Hamas – “a deeply nasty organization”.
