Your neighbors are meeting to rethink the Afghanistan War. Are you?
This is a pivotal moment. According to a recent Newsweek poll “Afghanistan War Hurting Obama’s Support at Home,” public opposition to the Afghanistan War has exploded. People are paying attention, and they’re ready to hear: that the Afghanistan War isn’t worth the cost.
Last week people across the country got together with their neighbors to rethink the Afghanistan War.
According to USA TODAY: “Afghan war toll hits high mark.” troops deaths in Afghanistan are approaching the levels of the worst moments of the Iraq War and Raw Story: “Sad milestone: Cost of US wars ‘passes $1 trillion’.” notes fiscal costs spiraling out of control, it’s our patriotic duty to have a public discussion about where we go from here.
Will you join us? Sign up for a Rethink the Afghanistan War Meetup, or, if there’s not one near you, start your own.

What happens at local meetings is up to you.
Here are three quick suggestions:
- Plan a screening of the Rethink Afghanistan documentary in your community. (Get the DVD here.)
- Have a public discussion about the following question: “Are we losing the Afghanistan War?”
- Plan a group visit to the district offices of your Member of Congress or Senators.
With the November Congressional elections just around the corner, we’ve got to seize this moment. The first step is to get together with our neighbors for a conversation about where we go from here.
We hope you’ll join us.
Sincerely,
Derrick Crowe, Robert Greenwald and
the Brave New Foundation team

Nope! I’m not meeting anyone BECAUSE I ALREADY SERVED!!!!!!!
The rest of the neighborhood is Indian and they think they’re too good to serve. I note they all drive nice new cars while most VETERANS are driving rust heaps. Something WRONG with THAT PICTURE??
I favor MANDATORY service JUST LIKE ISRAEL.
