Veterans for Change Says, ‘Rate Your Veteran Service Officer’
- How would you Rate Your Veteran Service Officer? -
By Jim Davis
Veterans for Change (VFC) has been working very hard over the past year to develop a list of Veteran Service Officers (VSO) and Claims Specialists nationwide and our list has now grown to more than 1,500.
Every month VFC refers over 100 Veterans to a local Veteran Service Officer in their area by providing the name, telephone number and city that each is located in so that they have options.
Slowly we’ve been working on a rating system, so when we provide the names of Veteran Service Officers we can also say who is good, better, and best.
But now we need your help! We need to know if you have used a VSO in the past or are using one currently, how you would rate them on a scale of 1 to 5 with 1 being worst and 5 being best. Would you recommend your VSO to a fellow Veteran?

There is so much turnover in VSOs that it is difficult to rate them. One problem is that they make 1/3 to 1/2 what the VA bureaucracy (deny until you die) people do, that it is hard for the VSO to be mentally at rest.
We appreciate the work you guys are doing, Mike and Jim. Don’t get tired.

On a scale of 1-10 with ten being great?
2-4
Some county veterans’ service officers “cherry pick” in order to make their claims success rate high. Try cleaning up after some of their messes and flat-out lies.
