Updated: Oliver Stone Telling Hard Truths in the Face of Character Assassination

Updated: ADL accepts Oliver Stone ‘apology’ over Holocaust, U.S. Jews. Stone: ”I do agree that it was wrong of me to say that Israel or the pro-Israel lobby is to blame for America’s flawed foreign policy.” Stone also added that he was “categorically opposed to anti-Semitism – and all other racist ideologies.”
If Stone were an anti-Semite, why would he state he is opposed to anti-Semitism, as major flacks for Israel have said?
The only ones owing an apology are the bystanders who go along with this smearing of a good man and great director.

One can go on, Midnight Express, Born on the Fourth of July, Natural Born Killers, JFK, and South of the Border and on and on.
Now, Stone tells the truth in an interview with a British newspaper about the militaristic, Zionist propaganda machine.
And sleazy hit pieces abound, though they are particularly galling in light of Stone’s peace-and-justice work that speaks truth to power with an eloquence and courage one finds lacking today.
This is not the first time Oliver Stone has been the victim of a hit piece, but the intellectual dishonesty employed against Stone for daring to tell the hard truth about facets of the rogue state of Israel reveals much about the American political culture though slime like Edelstein would have you believe that the half-Jewish Stone is anti-Semitic, even comparing Stone’s comments to the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.
Stone’s comments published in the The Sunday Times of London (paid subscription) include a criticism of Hitler’s American and British supporters: “Hitler was a Frankenstein, but there was also a Dr. Frankenstein. German industrialists, the Americans and the British. He had a lot of support. Hitler did far more damage to the Russians than the Jewish people.”
Any student of history knows well the rise of Hitler and other fascists like Francisco Franco came with American and British support during the 1930s; and Russia did lose 25-million souls during WWII. They count as human, right?

Of the Israeli Lobby and propaganda machine, Stone said, “They stay on top of every comment, the most powerful lobby in Washington. Israel has f—– up United States foreign policy for years.”
That’s news? That’s axiomatic.
Stone issued a statement Monday saying, “In trying to make a broader historical point about the range of atrocities the Germans committed against many people, I made a clumsy association about the Holocaust, for which I am sorry and I regret. Jews obviously do not control media or any other industry. The fact that the Holocaust is still a very important, vivid and current matter today is, in fact, a great credit to the very hard work of a broad coalition of people committed to the remembrance of this atrocity – and it was an atrocity.”
Fine, but history should teach us that human beings like Russians, Palestinians, Jews, Christians and agnostics are as significant as any other human being.
There is no master race, no chosen people; there are human beings from whom we receive gifts when we defend and honor their humanity.
That bond is something Stone understands and is an ideal that his detractors, the militarists and those who live by the lie, reject and will never appreciate.
“No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main; if a clod be washed away by the sea, Europe is the less … any man’s death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind,” wrote John Donne, an artist and poet of Stone’s caliber.
Keep telling the truth, Oliver; the world needs your commitment to humanity more than ever.

ADL: 80 MILLION AMERICANS “ANTI-SEMITIC”

ADL director Abe Foxman says that 45 years ago one third of Americans were “seriously infected” with anti-Semitism. Now, he says, 12 to 14 percent are in that category. This, he contends, amounts to 40 million Americans.
However, there are another 40 million who are “mildly” infected. They believe, he says, that Jews are “too powerful in finance,” “control the government,” and “control Hollywood.” Such “mild” anti-Semitism, Foxman claims, includes the belief that “the Jews killed Christ.” (Watch the v ideo of Foxman’s comments at ADL.org)
Who most conspicuously asserts that Jews killed Christ? Answer: at least 150 million Bible-believing Catholic, Orthodox, and evangelical Christians.
Who most conspicuously asserts that Jews control Hollywood and the US government? Answer: for the moment, veteran Hollywood insider and movie producer Oliver Stone. When asked by Britain’s Sunday Times why so much emphasis has been placed on the Holocaust, Stone replied, “The Jewish domination of the media. There’s a major lobby in the United States. They are hard workers. They stay on top of every comment, the most powerful lobby in Washington. Israel has f****d up United States foreign policy for years.”
Here we see ADL making tens of millions of Americans anti-Semitic for simply accepting what Jews tell us about themselves. Many Jewish film historians and reference sources now document how Jews founded the Hollywood movie and Big Three TV industries. Neal Gabler in his classic An Empire of Their Own: How the Jews Invented Hollywood exhaustively chronicles such control. So does the prestigious Encyclopedia Judaica: “Thus, all the large Hollywood companies, with the exception of United Artists, were founded and controlled by Jews.” (“Motion Pictures,” p. 449) The Judaica has separate articles detailing how David Sarnoff, William S. Paley, and Leonard Goldenson founded and controlled NBC, CBS, and ABC.
ADL’s main quarrel is not with anti-Semitism. It’s with reality. It’s with the fact that many people believe what the Jews say and repeat it on the internet, especially the Jewish accomplishment of attaining staggering control in media, government and finance. Such repetition of what Jews have told us, especially if spoken in a critical way, now becomes for ADL “virulent anti-Semitism.”
In ADL’s perfect world, Jews should be able to boast of their incredible emergence from persecution to dominance of the most influential sectors of society, and receive Gentile praise for that, without enduring suspicion or criticism.
To the delight of ADL, such utopia is now realized from tens of millions of evangelicals. Yet ADL, in its Department of Global Anti-Semitism in the US State Department, accuses evangelicals of “classic anti-Semitism” for believing the New Testament account that Jews had Christ killed. (See, Bible is Hate, Says U.S. Government). Nevertheless, “Israel-first” believers abhor any suspicion that ADL is conspiring against them. Believing that any criticism of a Jew will incur divine wrath, most evangelicals and their leaders are theologically sworn to silence against even mentioning the name “ADL” in public.
ADL Masks Its True Intention
Foxman says that ADL’s role in helping pass Georgia’s anti-masking law in the 1950s seriously crippled the KKK because they could no longer promote hatred and bigotry anonymously. But the internet today, Foxman believes, is like the hoods of KKK bigots, allowing hate to flourish anonymously. His implication? Something like the masking law should be effected to end internet freedom to hate.
The problem, however, is that, like KKK masks, which had a hateful, possibly murderous intention behind them, ADL’s “noose” of the charge of anti-Semitism placed around 80 million Americans, also has malevolent intent.
ADL is architect of the federal hate crimes law. It has a sordid record of inciting persecution of Christians who criticize abortion and homosexuality in countries like Canada.
ADL’s nooses are made to be tightened.

A furious Haim Saban has mounted a campaign to get Showtime to cancel its planned airing of Oliver Stone’s 10-part series, “A Secret History of America,” in the wake of anti-Jewish remarks by the outspoken director.
Stone’s apology “is transparently fake,” Saban said in an interview with TheWrap. “He has been consistent in his anti-American and anti-Semitic remarks. I respect his First Amendment rights. I hope he respects mine.”
The billionaire and outspoken media mogul told TheWrap he had contacted CBS chief Leslie Moonves to urge him to pull the series.
He said that WME chairman Ari Emanuel had also called CBS privately to urge the series be pulled. update: WME had no comment.
Stone has previously said the 10-part “Secret History” series would put Hitler and Stalin “in context,” and offer an alternative crash course to the “grossly inadequate history” taught by American schools and proffered by mass media.
CBS, Moonves and Emanuel did not respond to emails seeking comment.
Saban also said he had called CAA partner Bryan Lourd, Stone’s agent, to follow the example of Emanuel, who recently dropped Mel Gibson in the wake of the actor’s latest racist tirade.
Saban said he considers Stone to be “clearly an anti-Semite and an anti-American.”

Israeli-American billionaire and media mogul Haim Saban isn’t buying Oliver Stone’s apology.
In venting his outrage, Saban has become the first big Hollywood name to publicly criticize Stone for his controversial remarks about the Holocaust.
“This guy should be helped in joining Mel Gibson into the land of retirement, where he can preach his anti-Americanism and anti-Semitism in the wilderness where he belongs,” Saban told TheWrap in an email.
Stone kicked off a media firestorm over the weekend for telling a reporter from London’s Sunday Times that Adolf Hitler, the subject of his upcoming documentary, did more damage to Russia than he did to the Jews. He also stated that the U.S.’s support for Israel is the result of Jewish domination of the media.
Stone apologized Monday afternoon saying his comments were “clumsy” and that contrary to his earlier remarks, Jews didn’t control the media or any industry for that matter.
God isn’t dead.
