Bring Them Home Now
- It’s what happens in war: Civilians get slaughtered; troops get killed, maimed and traumatized; and connected corporations get rich -
For weeks, U.S. and allied forces in Afghanistan have denied they killed several dozen civilians in Sangin District of Helmand Province on July 23. But our new video exposes the truth about one of the worst civilian casualty incidents of the war. Watch our exclusive interviews with survivors and demand that your elected officials act to prevent future catastrophes like this. http://rethinkafghanistan.com
First, NATO denied knowing anything about the incident.
Then, they said only six people were killed and that most of them were insurgents.
They can’t deny it anymore. http://rethinkafghanistan.com/
Working with a brave team in Afghanistan headed by Anita, Brave New Foundation’s Rethink Afghanistan project sent an intrepid local blogger into Sangin District of Helmand Province–one of the most dangerous areas of the country. He brought back extraordinary first-person accounts from survivors of the Sangin catastrophe. Thanks to his work, there’s no doubt anymore: as many as 52 people were killed by a rocket fired by NATO forces.
Survivors tell of a scene of absolute carnage and despair, and when the smoke cleared, according to one local, “They [NATO] did nothing and afterwards they said nothing, just like nothing ever happened.”
But something did happen, and we have to act.
Watch our new video and send it to your elected officials: http://rethinkafghanistan.com
Tell them you’ll remember how they reacted to Sangin when you enter the voting booth this November.

Tell me something. These people are talking about how their families were allegedly murdered, they show no sadness or tears. Where are their so called feelings? I guess they have none.
Well Lynn, I would encourage you to study the modern history of Afghanistan. When your country is a permanent battlefield for imperial forces, it probably tends to toughen you up some. There’s no room for hysteria if you wanna survive in that part of the world – they don’t have the luxury. I’ve no doubt they grieve in private.
Well said and true, Niall.
There is also of course the dynamic at work that after one has witnessed enough repeated brutality and loss, one simply becomes numb by all outward appearances.
It is a matter of being reduced simply to a state of survival, something that smugly naive and misinformed Americans will learn firsthand when those they so non-vigilantly put their trust in finally decide to pull the plug on our founders’ great experiment.
Maybe then the shame of the brutality -which they even now (after so many revealed lies) continue to advocate upon others outside our shores- will rightfully sink home to convict what remains of their shallow consciences.
Nawh, you know how those dirty Muslims are; They constantly lie and will not let their women dance in jewish titty bars. They are backward and have not progressed to modern western standards of “civilization” prescribed by the chosen ones.
Mike
Well, like the Israeli commandoes killing unarmed human rights workers said, they could tell a terrorist by looking into their eyes.
They know.
lynn over 2 million afghan were killed by the years 2001-2010.
Lynn, they are very strong physically as well as emotionally, probably you don’t know them much.
Afghans are tough people. They don’t fall apart and cry like little babies. They get pissed and they fight. They don’t roll over for anybody. Everyone of those men you slandered because they wouldn’t break down and cry will join the Taliban and will be killing Americans shortly. Any real human being can tell that these men are angry and upset. American soldiers and their families will pay for the murder of these peoples relatives. While all the little people on both sides are suffering and dying, the big boys will be rolling in profits from the war and the heroin that is being shipped to America to be shot into our childrens veins. Wake the F up lady! These atrocities are the best recruiting advertisement the Taliban have.

Michael, They will not listen to you or to the world, they don’t bother if American young lads, medical teams, journalist Afghan civilians, innocent kids, young women, house wives being killed ruthlessly against a fake war.
In fact AIPAC, the members of which are comprised of Zionists, and India don’t want US to withdraw from Afghanistan as they want to complete the actual mission for being in Afghanistan, after holding the ‘Drama’ of 9/11 , killing innocent Americans in WTCs.
Their mission is a) to denuclearize the only Muslim country, Pakistan, which she developed in self-defense after India did in 1974 and again in 1998, threatening the very existence of Pakistan, and b) genocide of the Muslim’s best fighting gorilla machines, which they have seen fighting against USSR as both these countries, Israel and particularly India, are afraid of them.
So the US will NOT leave Afghanistan as now she is preparing for a final showdown therefore enhancing her troops and war-machines in Afghanistan apart from arming its fleets in Arabian waters, to the teeth, including nukes, therefore, more killing is ahead. God bless the world.

Bring Them Home Now,

BRING THE TROOPS HOME YOU SAY??????!!!!!!! YES, I’M SHOUTING!!!!
So it’s clearly an illegal war? WHO CARES????!!!!!!!
If the jews (yes THE jews!! Not just zionists, neocons, likuds or garden variety heebs) want a war fought for them by gentiles THEY WILL GET WAR FOUGHT AND PAID FOR BY GENTILES!!!
If you don’t like it or it’s illegal, that’s just too damned bad! They will decide when and if the war ends when they are good and ready. If that happens they will authorize their lackeys in Congress and the White House to take care of it.
If you want to get mad at someone call “your” representatives, senators and president. They will not pay attention to you but at least you will have someone to get mad at. Depending on your preferences you came blame the big bad bush or the the sun tanned bushy headed boy prez.
Do not however blame THE JEWS. It is not your prerogative as cattle (aka Goyim) to criticize the chosen ones. The jews cleverly manipulated “your” “leaders” into a war fought for the jews but their hands have no blood on them so they are blameless.
Mike
Dear Mike,
I know that your remarks are ironic and sarcastic. I also understand your anger. However, I don’t think that it takes much intelligence to fool the nitwits running this country. Almost every one of them (except for Ron Paul, Dennis K and a few others) is busily feathering their nests and indifferent to what their stupidity is going to do to this country.
They figure if they steal enough money to pay for the large number of guards and arms needed to protect the castles that they are planning to build, what difference does it make? Fortunately for all of us, they have not spent enough time in the third world to know that the rich people from there that they are emulating–well, they don’t have it that easy. Kidnapping is a growth industry in the third world. Rich people have to have shifts of guards, high walls around their homes with broken glass on the top, concertina above that and bodyguards when they go out. WHO REALLY WANTS TO LIVE LIKE THAT?
I am voting against all the incumbents that I can. It is time to clean house.
MK
MK, I completely agree with you. I have been astounded by a few of my friends who think they will escape chaos in America
with their modest stash of funds. One talks about going to Norway where his family lived before WWll while the other thinks Belize will be a safe hiding place.
I think I have awakened the second friend (a former Topgun pilot) to the possibility of staying to take back the USA from the ghouls. He is talking to every young person he knows to wake them up. The first friend being first generation American has no spirit of the American Revolution and still feels his relatively modest stash earned as an airline pilot will buy him ease and comfort in Norway. He thinks I’m a fool for speaking up.
As you say the most stupid and pathetic elected “leaders” have sold out their fellow countrymen for a pittance which will not last long when the glue of civilization gives way.
And the “leaders” who have sold out for sex? Those folks are so pathetic, executing them would be akin to executing a murderer who is retarded and with an IQ of ten.
By the way, I have not voted for tweedle dee or tweedle dum for many years and everyone I know said I was “wasting my vote”. Some of them are beginning to wake up.
Jewish Americans who play dumb about what is really going on are the most disgusting of the lot. They know full well the war in Iraq was for israel and that Israel did 911!
They could shut down the Defamation League (ADL) and AIPAC tomorrow morning if they chose their loyalties correctly.
My favorite Finkelstein quote is “the animus towards the jews is not irrational” —— To say the least!
Hymie , Quit acting dumb, you M.F.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Peter, Thank You. Your thinking is healthy and right on track, given the circumstances.
We need you and people like you. I hope you are successful and do not give up.

Unfortunately Peter, regardless of what you wish to believe our troops are serving and in some cases dying (or being severely wounded physically and/or mentally) to defend, it has nothing whatsoever to do with “our freedoms” or “our Constitution” or any other typically indoctrinated military mantra.
If one reads no other information than this site – and I would suggest reading many in depth non-MSM investigative sites – they (and you) should still find ample evidence to dispel such false self-justifying notions.
Our military has long fought, not “for America”, since no nation (certainly none we have fought since WWII) has posed any viable threat of invasion of our soil or the capacity to overwhelm the country and impose an occupational regime on us (as we on the other hand have done so brazenly and illegally to many other nations throughout the 20th and into the 21st century). Rather, our young men and women have been sent out to secure the hegemonic interests of mere elite few, both corporate and political.
It wasn’t North Koreans, nor Vietnamese, Nicaraguans, Colombians, Grenadans, Cubans or Somalis, and in recent years it hasn’t been Iraqis nor Afghans, nor will it be Iranians or Pakistanis that are threatening our Constitution and undermining/denying our “freedoms” and Rights. That enemy resides where it has resided for generations, right in Washington D.C and its environs.
Take troops there to fight our real enemy and then Ill agree you are fighting “for our freedom”.
Penumbra, the soldier who fights in the USA Military fights for the USA. It his ignorant or blood sucking superiors who work for other objectives. That should never be forgotten.
Mike
Michael,
I must respectfully disagree. Has the importance of “facts” vs “belief” not already been addressed repeatedly in articles by Gordon and Jeff and others here?
While it is evident that our young, and increasingly poorly educated and readily accepting of the MSM’s sensationalized reporting on war-provoking events, soldiers BELIEVE (likely with fervent sincerity) that they are joining up to go fight “for our rights” or “for our liberties” (pick a commonly heard slogan of your choice), nevertheless the FACT of what the actual expedition is designed to achieve is the TRUE “why” behind their efforts.
If I send you on an errand, concerning which I repeatedly tell you is for “humanitarian” purposes to deliver packages of food and medicine to deprived children in Brazil, when in reality (fact), those packages contain bombs and the intent is to facilitate the physical destruction of the favelas, does your heartfelt belief in what you were falsely told change the factual intent of the mission, or lend it any moral legitimacy?
I, like you, find the abuse of our armed services deeply upsetting. However, if – as we claim so often around here – we want to restore truth and dignity to our nation’s governance and it’s founding principles, we MUST stop buying into jingoistic falsehoods, however self-justifying and comforting they may be for the combat weary veteran.
All the more I stress that if we agree on the fact that those at the helm have conspired to defraud the public into support for their aggressive hegemonic aims, we must be willing to admit that those defrauded and the actions they undertook were, in fact, in the furtherance of those same illicit aims, however sincerely executed.
Our soldiers are naive young kids who have experienced poverty by design which they do not deserve. In theory they should not execute an illegal order but the blood suckers of this world know they will.
It is too much too expect our front line soldiers to end this war. FIND ANOTHER SCAPEGOAT, OR PERHAPS A TRUE PERPETRATOR LIKE LIEBERMAN, WOLFOWITZ, PEARL ETC ETC! —-EVEN BIG BAD BUSH IS A PAWN, SO DON’T STOP WHEN YOU GET HIM!
MIKE
Michael,
You seem to veering off from the original point we were discussing.
I am well aware that the preponderance of our troops are drawn from the ranks of the poor (and that by design). That is NOT the issue here.
Further, as to whether it is within the capacity of our servicemen and women to “end this war” or any war, is a separate matter of debate with supporting evidence of its own which we could discuss separately.
The point we WERE discussing concerns the continued propagation of faulty populist slogans such as “fighting for our freedoms” or “fighting for America” when, as I have addressed quite saliently above according to the principle of “Fact” vs. “Belief”, they are , in FACT, NOT fighting “for our freedoms” regardless of their belief that they are, however sincere.
The purpose of the interventionist aggressions of recent years and those of the past century back to the end of WWII is and has been “FOR the geo-political and hegemonic business interest of an elite few”, NOT for the benefit of “America” (you, me and our average joe neighbours).
If we refuse to open our eyes as a nation to this FACT and instead continue to regurgitate the jingoistic slogans championed by the MSM and our duplicitous political/military leadership, we can only expect more young men and women to naively sign up, ship out and die in yet more bogus invasions/occupations being planned even now.
I find it hopeful that there at least SOME military dissenter groups (IVAW for example) who have woken up to the truth and who heroically risk their futures to proclaim it publically. These are the soldiers fighting the real enemy to our freedoms and Constitution.
