Watch the Agent Orange Hearing, Senators Plot Cutting Out Agent Orange Victims

Sen. Richard Burr (R-North Carolina)

Here’s video of Thursday’s United States Senate Committee on Veterans’ Affairs: Oversight Hearing:  VA Disability Compensation:  Presumptive Disability Decision-Making.

Thank you Sens. Sanders and Rockefeller for standing with veterans.

As for the veterans-hostile Sens. Jim Webb (D-VA) and Richard Burr (R-NC), please note they are up for reelection; Webb in 2012, Burr this November.

Vote them out, starting with Burr.

  1. fellow vets , relax the boys in washington will pass all the bills for a/o the way they will get us is as follows; zero (0) percent disibility,i was just rewarded disibilty for hearing loss zero (0) percent. they agree it was service connected but o monetary vaule. so be sure to vote.

  2. Worthless BASTARDS———-with their $100 haircuts!! GOD forgive me!!!!

  3. Maybe the Senate and Congress need to be innoculated with a 7.62mm. There are enough veterans in every district and state to vote them out and vote in the everyday veteran that has come back from their wars. Politician is just another word for someone that isn’t trained nor can keep a job! VOTE the SOB’s OUT!!!

  4. Viet vet, 67-68, grunt and WIA while with F-2/7. Served my country (felt the urge to “stop” Communisum from taking over…for what ? The loss of 58,000 lives for
basically nothing ?!!) and came home, thankfully in one piece, maybe two or three
though the more I think about it and now we’re getting shafted by all of the duds
we have in DC. Even the so-called “Vet friendly” ones that campaigned and won on
many Veteran issues. What happened ?….they got elected that’s what. I feel sorry
for Webb for being a two-faced EX-Marine. That’right….”EX”. The saying “Once a Marine, ALWAYS a Marine does not apply to this turncoat. Burr should be history,
McCain right along with him and you can ship Simpson directly to an institution
for the mentally impaired. And while your at it send all of the wing-nuts that are running a negative campaign regarding Vets, and the ones who want to privitize Social Security AND Medicare, to the same place. Oh, that’s right. Most of them are
already there….Washington,D.C. !!! And don’t get me going on tax cuts for the wealthy !!! They make more in monthly interest or dividends on their wealth than
us middle class make in a year….probably two or three !! Semper Fi.

  5. Yes, they need to go this next election. I find it difficult though having found out that these people we want to get out of public office have already voted for themselves to receive the exact pay they are receiving while in office for the rest of their lives. Anyone can serve just (one) term and they can receive pay for the rest of their life. The lowest amount is around $100,000. I don’t even make $10,000 a year and these devils have privileged themselves at our expense. The people need to get that overturned through an election. That is why there is a push for a 28th amendment to the Constitution. – “Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States.”

  6. served 1967-1968 had angioplaste at age 41 need to get rid of all the dip senators and congressmen especially those that send millions to other countries and try to pay for it with cutting the obligations to vets. After 40 years only 1/3 left to claim payment for denied claims. Especially when they have never served or been in combat or exposed to the hazards of war. Good bye Sen Burr
in Nov hopefully. I sure won’t vote for him.

  7. Hope all these scum bum ass hole Congressman have heart attacks.

  8. Burr has been a strong supporter of veterans in the past so I think his questions have more to do with how VA will implement this than any attempt to block it. As far as I know, the VA begins paying benefits on this Oct 31, so unless Congress passes a resolution to block VA, this will go forward as planned. I think blocking it is highly unlikley…Just my two cents.

  9. Frank Perez, My story is exactly like yours. Vietnam 65-66. Open heart quad by-pass. Not fat, no family history.

  10. I Had a triple bypass in 1996 at the age of 49. I was not obese, not sedentary, had no family history of heart disease, and I smoked only one pack of cigarettes every two days, so I was not a heavy smoker. Since when is 49 considered old. I fought in Vietnam in 1968-1969 and was constantly being sprayed with defoliant and driving through areas being sprayed. I would sure like Mr. Webb to give up his nice big raises and his future congressional retirement to live the life my family has had to live.

    • I had heart attack at 48 and NEVER SMOKED IN MY LIFE. IF Webb wants to cut spending, he can do so without hassling veterans. If they want to look at how to change it they can do so starting after current new diseases added by Secretary of VA.

    • Served in VN in 1970, 1991 at age of 41 had emergency 5 bypass heart surgery. NO FAMILY HISTORY of heart disease. Since then I’ve had 8 heart attacks, lost three of the 5 grafts, now have 12 stents in Left Anterior Descending Artery, several episodes of Congestive Heart Failure, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm, Aortic Root Aneursym, Diastolic Heart Failure, Ejection Fractions from 10 percent recovered to 35 percent. Been on SSDI since 1995 due to IHD….How’s that Senator Webb…is that enough of just on my heart issues…Not to mention I’m being TESTED for Multiple Myeloma…
