SMART POWER SOPHISTRY By Colonel Eugene Khrushchev STAFF WRITER/Editor US foreign policy mavens have plucked from obscurity and put a new spin on Smart Power concept as the cornerstone of the US National Security Strategy. In theory and on paper, this paradigm shift is picture-perfect. In practice, if it takes seeing to believing, don’t be [...]

Based on the legislation being proposed, Governor Scott Walker maintained that his legislation, which would strip state employees of their collective bargaining rights and force them to pay a larger share of the cost of health care and pensions, was a “modest proposal.” The definition of modest is not the same for an individual who is rich and that of one who is poor.

This article and expose of National Guard and Reserve troops being treated inferior to active duty troops when it comes to combat readiness to include corrective vision without eye glasses or contact lens comes in two part (1) explaining the situation, and (2) justification for waiving the time remaining on active duty requirements that ban all Guard and Reserve members from being treated the same as Regular troops when it comes to combat readiness.

Never before has an American President’s fear of offending the Zionist lobby and its stooges in Congress been so exposed as it was by Obama’s decision to veto the Security Council resolution condemning continued, illegal Israeli settlement activities on the occupied West Bank and demanding that Israel “immediately and completely cease” all such activities. In a different America – an informed America – some might think, I do, that Obama should be impeached. The charge? TREASON.

We thought we had used the democratic process to rid our country of George W. Bush by the peaceful election of a man who told Americans he would right the wrongs of that Zionist Cabal. Instead we have a houseboy doing the chores of his Mars, Netanyahu. How far can he fall? Is there no principle, no obsequious cringing, no personal shame he will not endure to pay homage to his masters?

We are constantly being advised that the Egyptian Military has the situation under control. As the situation develops it is becoming increasingly apparent that there is something wrong with this picture. The military and the media assures us that the morganatic wedding between the Generals and the Masses will proceed as scheduled. As the old song goes, “its time to wind up the masquerade…the piper must be paid.” Is Iran sailing through the Suez sending a message of who may be trying to gain power during this chaos?

Faced with a budget out of control, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker decided to make a sucker’s choice of either/or, and has gotten himself into a huge mess. Is he able to be a true leader of all the citizens in his state, and sit down at the table and come to an agreement with those he has alienated? Or, will his ego rule the day and define his government’s policies?

“Our experience suggests that during the Vietnam, era, the appointment of casualty officers was often as a collateral duty, and they did not always receive the necessary training to assist survivors. It is not difficult to imagine that PFC Noddin’s parents were not informed of the death gratuity benefit and would have claimed the gratuity if they had been made a aware of it.”

On September 11, 2001 a third building came down. This building was 7 World Trade Center (WTC 7), a 47-story building about the width and length of a football field. NIST, the National Institute of Standards and Technology, was tasked with officially explaining how WTC 7 fell. Their theory is documented in the report entitled Final Report of the Collapse of Building 7[1]. Many people are under the mistaken impression that NIST’s theory of how WTC 7 fell down is a valid scientific theory. In science however, a valid theory must be the simplest theory available that best explains all the available empirical data.[2] This article will show that the NIST theory is a highly convoluted theory that cannot explain important observations.

When a satirist published a phony U.S. government report in 1967 that recommended against allowing peace to ever break out, most people seemed to fall for the prank. Members of the news media were either in on the joke or victims. The copy I have is marked up with a yellow highlighter by someone who grew angrier and angrier through the book’s pages. Toward the end, when the authors of the “report” advocated reviving slavery, the previous owner of my copy scrawled “BULL SHIT” in all caps across two pages.

In what appears to be as close to a consensus as the world community can ever hope to achieve, the United States reluctantly stood its ground on behalf of Israel and on February 18, 2011 vetoed a resolution on the Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem that was supported by all 14 of the other members of the UN Security Council. The resolution was also sponsored by 130 member countries before being presented to the Council.

The widening gulf between those who hold all the wealth in our various societies, those who manipulate the strings of power and the mass of people who produce that wealth with their sweat and labor, has widened to a point that has become intolerable even among the normally complaisant.

It is now quite evident that the ripe social and moral development of mankind in the Nile Valley, which is three thousand years older than that of the Hebrews, contributed essentially to the formation of the literature which we call the Old Testament. Our moral heritage therefore derives from a wider human past enormously older than the Hebrews, and it has come to us rather through the Hebrews rather than from them

I managed to infuriate some, by suggesting that I was against the comparisons between Israel and Nazi Germany. Indeed, I believe that from certain ideological perspective, Israel is actually far worse than Nazi Germany, for unlike Nazi Germany, Israel is a democracy and that implies that Israeli citizens are complicit in Israeli atrocities.

If Bradley Manning turns out to be the hero he appears to be, he will not be the first “detained” at Quantico. In fact, Quantico once locked up the most decorated Marine in history, a Marine who would have been running the Marine Corps rather than getting locked up by it if he had known how to brown-nose the swivel-chair commanders as he called them, a Marine who had helped create Quantico years before, the first senior officer in the U.S. military to be arrested in the 65 years following the Civil War, and a serious fearless principled democratic hero whose heroism had nothing to do with the nasty tasks he took on as a U.S. Marine.
