There are two issues, which are the main cause of strained relations between Pakistan and the United States of America. One is, the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI), trying to reclaim its territory lost to CIA during the past regime and the second is the Taliban, who have won the war in Afghanistan, and are not prepared to talk, unless the occupation forces leave Afghanistan. Both the demands are related to “territorial sovereignty” of Pakistan and Afghanistan and there is no going back on it. It is upto the US therefore, to accept the reality and concede to the rightful demands and explore new approach to peace.

The news coming out of Cairo in the last 48 hours is very surprising to every one. Most of all to Bibi Netanyahu who gave Mahmoud Abbas a choice; either peace with Israel or reconciliation with Hamas and who ordered his security forces to put more squeeze on Gaza. Bibi forgetting that Mahmoud Abbas has been knocking on the doors of Israel on his hands and knees begging for peace with or without Hamas for over 20 years and there was one answer, Jewish Occupation and expansion of Jewish Settlements colonies, more important than peace with the Palestinians.

The unity of Muslims the world over is the need of the hour, not for any aggressive design but for own survival, salvation, growth and development. Only unity can bring them the glory that the world of Islam once enjoyed. This unity has to move beyond mere lip service but translated in concrete terms.
