Humans Devouring 40% of Life on Earth

Humans may believe we live in enlightened times but future historians, (if there are any) will look back at our era as “dirty, crowded, superstitious, dangerous, and primitive” as the Dark Ages, ecologist Carl Safina, president of Blue Ocean Institute, says.

Letters Home from Vietnam – Chapter 10, The Red (heat rash), White (searing heat) and Blue (longing for home)

New Load from the Bomb Dump

Runway duty can really be boring until the rats come out at night. I was lying on a wooden bench inside the sandbag bunker and just about to doze off when something got my attention. In the moonlight I could see the silhouette of a rat in the opening of the bunker.

Holy Ghost Troop vs. the Synagogue of Satan

Excellent article! The only thing that you left out was that the 9/11/2001 attacks were 11 years (another 11!) after Pres. GHW Bush’s New World Order speech of 9/11/1990. The first paragraph of your Occult IKE article of Sept. 2008 mentions that speech:

FAIR GAME: A Movie Review About Outing CIA Agent Valerie Plame

My first reaction to the movie I have just viewed was “I am very sad”. After almost 2 hours of being reminded how horrible U.S. activities in Iraq were almost 10 years ago, I was taken back to a place that I was hoping to gloss over and forget.

THIRD PALESTINIAN INTIFADA: All Arabs to March on Israel on May 15th

Third Intifada-1

“With those powerful political storms rolling up the Middle East, and with this unstoppable and unpredictable domino effect of popular uprisings, how long before we watch the Israeli domino piece fall down”

Does the United States Need a National Strategic Narrative?

The United States needs a national strategic narrative. We have a national security strategy, which sets forth four core national interests and outlines a number of dimensions of an overarching strategy to advance those interests in the 21st century world. But that is a document written by specialists for specialists. It does not answer a fundamental question that more and more Americans are asking. Where is the United States going in the world? How can we get there? What are the guiding stars that will illuminate the path along the way? We need a story with a beginning, middle, and projected happy ending that will transcend our political divisions, orient us as a nation, and give us both a common direction and the confidence and commitment to get to our destination.

A National Strategic Narrative

by Mr. Y This Strategic Narrative is intended to frame our National policy decisions regarding investment, security, economic development, the environment, and engagement well into this century. America: The Party is Over! Here’s Why

We Americans have enjoyed an incredibly wonderful standard of living over the past three decades with most of us believing that it was because we are the world’s wealthiest, most prosperous nation with economic and financial systems that are second to none – but that is not even close to accurate.

Battle of nerves

Pak-US relations that apparently ran smoothly from September 2001 till 2005 developed hiccups in 2006 and ever since the relations have been uneasy. Award of civil nuclear deal together with inking of several defence contracts with India and its efforts to make India a key player in Afghanistan exposed US pronounced tilt towards India. It was natural for Pakistan to feel let down. The US secret designs against Pakistan and negative role of India played a big role in widening the trust deficit. Both the US and India worked on an engineered program to harm Pakistan under the garb of friendship. With no troops and no responsibility, it suited India to keep expanding its influence in Afghanistan and in Central Asia and at the same time harming Pakistan through covert war without having to face hazards of guerrilla war.
