Veteran’s Benefits Administration not giving Veterans proper benefits, and refuses to correct mistakes
by Terry Richards
I want to personally thank Tampa Bay’s 10-News Investigative Reporter Noah Pransky for his all his long hours, efforts, and dedication to help Veterans by further investigating my original story and Benefit mistakes made by the VA. Sadly however, after Pransky contacted the VA, they refused to correct those mistakes at this time even though they knew they were being investigated by the News Media.
However, after Pransky contacted Congressman C.W. Bill Young, this Author’s Congressman, it resulted in a letter being written to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to endeavor to get the VA to correct their mistakes.

AND… the VA still refuses to admit we that were in the Persian don’t rate the same care as military members currently in AOR…The Department of Veterans Affairs estimates that as many as 95 percent of veterans returning from combat in Iraq and Afghanistan have some form of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Symptoms can include (1) nightmares, (2) feeling numb, (3) having difficulty experiencing love or closeness with others, (4) feeling jittery or overly alert, (5) having difficulty sleeping, (6) experiencing anger or irritability, (7) having difficulty concentrating, (8) substance abuse problems, (9) having feelings of despair or hopelessness.
ive been having a problem with the VA in reguards to service periods. I served from Sept 7, 1986 to Sept 7, 1989 US Army AGR program Honorably discharged. I imeadtly reenlisted and served from Sept 7 1989 to May 2, 1992 which was a Other than Honorable discharge and a bar to VA benefits. What the RO is saying is that Sept 7, 1986 to May 2, 1992 is a bar to VA benefits. Which it is not Their trying to lump the two service periods into one service period which is wrong M21 rules state that when a person has a Honorable period of service before a Other that Honorable period of service the Honorable period of service takes priority. I dont know where the RO is getting there information from that I served from Sept 7, 1986 to May 2, 1992 I did not it was two different periods of service. And during the honorable period of service a disability was properly diagnosed. I am so frustrated that i might do something i might regret later any ideas.
Ive aske several time for a BVA hearing and never receive one as well
The VA has a long history of disservice to veterans and anything “new” brought to the attention of both veterans and the general public should come as no surprise to anyone. Perhaps the greatest scam is QTC; founded by a man who denied PTSD and later became the secretary of the VA. After leaving that office, he went back to QTC and was awarded a two billion dollar contract by the VA. In other words; same deception, different day.
Is the VA braking the (LAW)=Based on the Court’s decision in Bradley, entitlement to SMC at the (s) rate will now be granted for TDIU recipients if the TDIU evaluation was, or can be, predicated upon a single disability and(1) there exists additional disability or disabilities independently ratable at 60 percent or more, or(2) the veteran is permanently housebound by reason of a service-connected disability or disabilities…This is the (New Evidentiary Standard)Current Status….Regulations and M21-1MR, IV.ii.2.H.46.a will be revised to comply with the Court’s holding will be applied to all pending and future claims…Questions concerning this fast letter and other issues related to this issue should be submitted to the VAVBAWAS/CO/21FL mailbox
If you are talking about the Regional office in St. petersburg, you are right that they have been scamming veterans since at least 1969 in my case. i have a claim going back to that date that has never been processed. In an other case it took 30 years to straighten out a back claim, where they said wrongfully thast I had a birth defect,it turned out they were reading someone elses xrays not mine.
The VA is the real enemy of all veterans.
