Ex-CIA Phil Giraldi…The Proper Place for Americans
Should Americans Focus More on our Enemies at Home
by Jim W. Dean
Phil Giraldi weighs in for us again with an ‘all you can eat buffet’ of third rail topics. He puts a harsh spotlight on critical issues that most of our minders would prefer a smoke and mirrors presentation. Fortunately he is not alone as Veterans Today is in lockstep on many of these same issues.
The disconnect of Washington with the rest of the country is a familiar and bipartisanly accepted issue. But in the last few years there has been a significant shift taking place.
I hear a growing discourse developing among Americans who feel their country has slipped away from them. Some of the military people describe it as living under a scenario where we had been conquered in a war, and the victor imposes a Quisling government to rule in their place.
The purpose of an occupying force has historically been to loot the country. And who better to do this than the elitists who had already been devoting their lives to that task. They are the natural bride for the invading groom. The revelations of the Wall Street Financial corruption that walked up the red carpet rolled out by both the Clinton and Bush administrations is now well understood by legions of Americans. They now know the intimate details of the dirty dancing that was done between our political elite and the Banksters.
When Bill Clinton came in he was disappointed with the Wall Street campaign contributions. So he asked his new Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin ‘what do we need to do to get them on board’. Secretary Rubin instantly responded, ‘Repeal the Taft Hartley Act.’ Clinton ordered him to get right on it. (Source: Dick Morris)
There have been some grass roots blowback from this, the TeaParty being the most visible. But the political pros were quick to do what they always do to these emerging groups, co-opt and control them.
The NeoCons quickly constructed a puppet stage with the likes of the old Newt Gringrich and the Neo-sock puppet Sara Palin. The age old way for pulling this off is you just offer to pay for everything. They rarely say no.
The Ron Paul faction, of course, did say no. They are the True Blues, not for sale, and hated the most by the elites. This is generally how I decide to vote for, whoever the crooked elites hate the most.
Phil Giraldi has made stellar use of his post government years, continuing to serve on the front lines, but where he is his own boss. He has a long and good list to share with you today.
Please pass this around as we need to get more and more people aware of this challenge of being attacked from 360 degrees by a myriad of issues. This is an age old tactic to eliminate any concentration of push back forces.
Once we have figured out what to do and how best to do it, the harsh reality of arithmetic will still rule the day. If we do not have enough people behind it to push, it will come to naught. Teamwork rules.
So let’s work hard, work smart, avoid the constant dogma arguments, and prioritize what will hopefully be the successful retaking of America. It is going to be a huge job because the Mandarins here are wired into their bunkers with interlocking fire.
But those of us here in the non-DC wilderness, we are not without some resources ourselves. We will try to keep the good stuff coming. Let us know what you think in the comments. We need the feed back as we learn from you. Jim W. Dean, Editor…for Veterans Today
La Nation Building du Jour by Phil Giraldi
Critics of Washington politics have often noted that there is a huge disconnect between the thinking on Capitol Hill and what is clear to most Americans who live in the rest of the country.
Many Americans, most particularly those who do not work for the federal government and who therefore do not benefit from inflated salaries, solid-gold benefit packages and the option to return as contractors earning even more, are in serious financial trouble.
Official unemployment approaches ten percent, with at least as many more no longer looking for jobs and even more having taken jobs at reduced salaries and without benefits. One quarter of American homes are worth less than their mortgages.
So what does President Obama do? He bails out the banks and forgives them their debts before going on television and telling young Americans to go to college so they can become teachers, seemingly unaware that most local school districts are not hiring because they, unlike the banks, have run out of money. And what do the Republicans do? Nothing, beyond pretending to be paragons of fiscal responsibility.
They arrived in the White House in 2000 with a budget surplus and then wrecked the economy courtesy of Mr. Greenspan and ballooning deficits. George W. Bush vowed not to take any steps that would reduce the US standard of living, but he has destroyed the futures for our children and grandchildren through his fiscal recklessness and his ridiculous war on terror.
And then there is global warming. No reasonable debate on what can or should be done is possible because some wing nuts in the Republican Party have decided that even if the polar ice caps are melting there must never be any suggestion that the cause of the change is human activity.
As it is a Republican mantra, one has to presume that the argument derives from something written in the Old Testament, probably a few pages over from the bit that confirms that Israel must be exalted among all nations.
So when Mitt Romney and Jon Huntsman suggest that climate change just might be manmade, at least in part, they suddenly find themselves in the GOP wilderness, mostly because they were speaking the truth.
And don’t look for the Democrats to do any better on the issue because it might actually cause some pain to limit emissions. Both Democrats and Republicans would have done well to look out the window over the past few weeks. The weather is getting a little bit strange, isn’t it? What is it going to be like in about ten years if this keeps up?
But the real kicker is how the two major parties close ranks on foreign and defense policies. Foreign policy and the associated Pentagon bill are largely non-issues in American elections apart from bromides about remaining strong and free.
The ability of the average American to absorb anything beyond a bumper sticker slogan or an episode of Glee or Dancing With the Stars is decidedly limited.
Only enthusiasm for America’s “warriors” is welcome in most circles. On Memorial Day a contributor to one local paper in Virginia praised America’s soldiers overseas, writing that they are “fighting for freedom,” an assertion that fails the who what when and where test.
But foreign policy and Washington’s prodigious Pentagon budget are important even if ignored because they actually are the drivers of many of the domestic ills that Americans are experiencing. Tea Partiers who are resistant to government overspending are right to do so, but they fail to come to grips with the underlying cause of the sorry state of the US economy, which is the constant wars that have been fought since 2001.
The wars have sucked trillions of dollars out of the US economy and, as they are unending, they are fated to claim trillions more in the decade to come, a legacy that derives from both Bush and Obama.
Even though runaway defense spending is the largest discretionary item in the federal budget it is virtually untouchable and actually increases annually in spite of the fact that it includes weapons systems that are far in excess of what is needed for actually protecting the homeland. It also ignores serious needs in the domestic economy at a time of deep economic malaise.
Among the Republicans only Walter Jones and Ron Paul have dared to question the perpetual state of war and the costs that it entails.
The Democrats, meanwhile, are content to line up behind their president, politely tut-tutting over Afghanistan because it has gone on so long and has cost so much, but not challenging the principle of US interventionism. And there is virtually no dissent from the mainstream media, both from the left and the right, so the public is blissfully unaware that there might be an alternative to America the Imperial.
Without a phony threat of terrorism and a constant series of wars there would be no Patriot Act and no military commissions, no Guantánamo or secret CIA prisons, no Abu Ghraib, no invocation of state secrets privilege, no extraordinary renditions, no targeted assassinations, and no waterboarding. No one would have had the opportunity to invent the word “Islamofascism” or worry about Sharia law in Oklahoma.
Even with much-reduced defense outlays one doubts if the federal budget would be in balance but it is at least likely that the federal government’s debt would be much reduced.
A stable economy and a peaceful America might not have forestalled the tech bubble on Wall Street that wiped out millions of 401Ks followed by the real estate bubble that swept away the rest, but it is at least possible to speculate that the last decade’s economic catastrophe could have been either mitigated or averted.
Those who support a return to something approaching normalcy must challenge the groupthink that prevails. Last week outgoing Defense Secretary Robert Gates castigated NATO because the member nations are not spending enough on their respective militaries.
As there is no military threat in Europe to counter, the reason NATO exists, it was a clear signal that the Obama administration foresees many more Libyas with Europe and the US united to police the world.
But almost certainly the Europeans have it right and Obama and Gates are themselves unwilling to read the tea leaves: wasting hundreds of billions on defense spending when there is no real threat is an anachronism, born of the cold war.
And the real irony is that the war party has little to point to in the way of success beyond killing Osama bin Laden after ten years of trying.
If American soldiers overseas are truly endangering their lives delivering freedom, the proponents of a huge military to enable constant war should be able to demonstrate exactly how that has occurred, when and where, and what gain has come from it.
Iraq? A dictatorship that was stable has been replaced by a corrupt one-party rule. A state that was the Arab bulwark against Iranian expansion is now one of Tehran’s best friends.
Afghanistan? Nearly everyone agrees that it is insoluble and it is time to leave, but ten years have gone by and a trillion dollars wasted on a nation-building catastrophe that even the US government concedes has failed. When the US finally does leave the Taliban will return and the only unity in Afghanistan will be that everyone hates the Americans.
Libya, the latest cakewalk candidate, is already a money pit and is showing every sign of a failed policy. Yemen? Somalia? Are they better off due to US predator drone attacks?
Are we Americans better off because we have the technology and will to carry them out? Are we safer or has stirring up the hornet’s nest in so many places actually placed us at risk?
If Washington cannot appreciate that we Americans are far worse off and even less safe now than we were ten years ago, there is definitely something wrong with the cognitive process that prevails in the White House and in Congress. And it all starts with the false narrative that combines global threats with American exceptionalism to support an expanding imperial role.
George W. Bush was not imaginative enough to conceive anything different but the much more clever Barack Obama has also bought into the same suffocating fiction about the United States’ appropriate place in the world.
It is time to replace that story with a gentler tale that the proper place for Americans is in America, not in Afghanistan or Iraq or any other country that displeases Washington’s Mandarins and the beltway punditry.

We the people have Rights -and Obligations- we have yet to seize and a healthy democracy thrives on dissent!
“We hold these truths to be self-evident: That all [people] are created equal; that they are endowed by their creator with certain unalienable rights…that, to secure these rights, governments are instituted among [people] deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed; and, whenever any form of government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the RIGHT of the people to ALTER or to ABOLISH it.” -July 4, 1776, The Declaration of Independence.

Phil has it wrong. And as a matter of fact I see the same kind of flawed perspective exhibited by everyone at antiwar(dot)com.
Our Masters KNOW that Americans are far worse off now than 10 years ago. They KNOW they “war on terror” is a fraud. They KNOW they’re destroying what’s left of the U.S. They KNOW that 9/11 was a false-flag job.
That’s why we have the “TSA” and “Homeland Security” [sic] and the “Patriot Act” and FEMA camps, and no more Constitutional rights, etc., etc., etc.
When are Phil et al. going to acknowledge that “our” “government” (to the extent it ever really was ours in the first place that is), has been overthrown?
We let our guard down and Jewish supremacists took over. They took it all, everything. We peasants are merely something to be managed and manipulated and exploited. We’re a necessary irritant. From the pool of inferior peasants come the Zionist crusaders, and the factory workers who make the bombs and the drones and the bullets, and the TSA goons, and the rest of the willing idiots without whose active participation and support the Evil Empire could not continue.
Nelson, I think he is. Where I see the main engine to the frustration is no organized pushback. Phil had a harsh line in there addressing just that. Folk generally want somebody else to do it, and I don’t mean just take the risk, but they don’t even want to give up the time to do it. So we end up with 100,000 chiefs all beating up on each other.
They have gamed the system well. Districts are gerrymanded. Most run unopposed, and build up a war chest to scare challengers off, and it does. Out of state money has ruled in close elections for a long time, and now Afghanistan and Gaddafi money can come it. All they have to do is have it come from a corporation.
They have played the divide an conquer game on us to the max…the evil white make, racist southerners, homophobe…facists…the list goes on and on…and the laugh all the way to the bank. What are we going to do…’threaten to throw them out’??? And replace them with who? There is not a single group in the country offering to support Congressman running who will not swear allegience to Israel. The rest all do because they see all the others have done it. They don’t even feel bad. To them it is a done deal.
So there is no point in blaming a website or small group. There is a lot of blame to go around. How many retired CIA guys do you see out there doing what Phil does…and then even he is a target for criticism. This is part of the reason why we will lose. We weren’t smart and discplined enough to change our ways and realize that anything the breaks up pulling a strong counter force together, is a death sentence…doom.
Thus end my happy report.
Your point is well taken, Jim.
However, at this late date, as our economy teeters on the brink of collapse and WW3 looms, I have to say that I don’t have much patience for anyone with a podium, who, at best “sugar coats” the situation (or at worst dispenses what might be called limited-hangout propaganda).
For example, Phil says: “And the real irony is that the war party has little to point to in the way of success beyond killing Osama bin Laden after ten years of trying.”
Well, how does Phil know that the Empire’s latest OBL “story” is not just another pathetic lie? Personally, I don’t take ANYTHING the “U.S. government” says at face value – especially in matters involving “terrorism”.
The fact that Phil seems to accept this “story” as fact reflects poorly on his judgment, in my view.
There was a coup d ‘etat in December 2000, when the Supreme Court placed Bush ll in office. We need the impeachment of the “justices” by voters (absent rigged voting machines) who voted Bush in, against the will of the people.
We now know that then Bush ll and his co-conspirators in the U.S., Israel and London, engineered 9/11, and that 7/7 was also a false flag operation, in order to gain dictatorial powers over the victims (us) and put in place a police state to protect themselves from being found out and tried for high-treason and hanged.
If we started with impeaching the 5 justices who placed Bush ll in power, in contravention to the constitution, we could then repudiate the debt run up by the Federal Reserve outside the authority of the U.S. Congress and end its control of the U.S. purse-strings from which they derive much of their power.
The 13 American colonies used “no taxation without representation” as the start of the American Revolution, what has been done by the Federal Reserve, in lending and giving away $ 12.8 Trillion, to domestic and overseas banks and corporations, is much more of an excuse than for the American Revolution. Where does the Federal Reserve derive the authority to encumber U.S. citizens to cover their illicit creation of debt that must be paid by taxpayers.
Your observations are correct and require the following solution to save the nation from this tyranny;
http://www.zerohedge.com/print/365866
We the people had the chance to throw W. out in 04 but, instead, re-elected him, validating his first term.
Dear Mr. Dean,
I just spent hours browsing coverage of what really happened in Greece. Evidently, Prime Minister Papandreou bought credit default swaps with government money and, then just when these “investments” (bets that the economy will tank) could have covered the Greek shortfalls, they WERE SOLD to a private firm with members of his family in it.
Why do I bring this up? Because this story is repeating itself all over the world with absolute corruption among governments emanating primarily from GOLDMAN SACHS and their exotic derivatives. Britain has announced that they are going to adopt something much like good old Glass Steagall and stop all this derivative nonsense. Derivatives like mortgage-backed securities and credit default swaps are little better than bets, but they are being pushed by deregulated banks as part of their “investment” offerings. Frankly, a person could do a lot better at the track. Unfortunately, these investments have been sold to many pension plans and now are going to cause big problems for those institutions.
We need to reinstate Glass-Steagall. We need to start arresting Goldman Sachs for the money that they have stolen with things that were neither “securities” or “backed by mortgages” because of defects in the conveyance and recording and the laws relating to real estate deeds. THESE THINGS WERE FRAUDULENT FROM THE GROUND UP and they were oversold to the tune of $500 Trillion dollars.
Furthermore, there are settlements due to the USA currently being blocked by corrupt politicians. For years, a number of people have been trying to inform the public about these settlements and not gotten any mention in the press. Finally, a person who covers gold investments took the initiative and investigated these stories…here is what he wrote:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~PRESIDENT OBAMA VISITED ENGLAND FOR NO STATED PURPOSE IN THE OFFICIAL CHANNELS. IT WAS ACTUALLY A LAST DITCH ATTEMPT TO HALT THE LAST CHAPTER OF A $TRILLION FRAUD SCHEME, ONE PERPETRATED BY THE BANK OF ENGLAND AND THE USGOVT LED BY WALL STREET FIRMS. LONDON WANTS THE GIGANTIC FRAUD CHAPTER TO COME TO A CLOSE, YIELDING TO COURT PRESSURE. WITNESS THE END OF THE AMERICAN EMPIRE, WHOSE LATEST CHAPTER HAS FEATURED GLOBAL FRAUD WITHOUT HISTORICAL PRECEDENT, LARGER EVEN THAN WIDELY REPORTED. $$$”
“This story extends from a very murky and controversial fraud role program, which many analysts call kooky. Some call it the Wanta Funds. The Jackass has avoided the topic for a long time. Yet its validity has been confirmed by my most reliable source, a gold banker. It is real, it is ugly, and it is huge, the interest payments for which total over $1 trillion over a full decade. So it is worth stealing, as Hank Paulson would attest. The fund is part of a much bigger network of fraud role programs totaling multiple $trillionS for which Fannie Mae and other trust funds (Social Security Trust) have been involved. The concept is to lock down a huge fund, steal its interest, and keep the public in the dark. The USDept Treasury (aka Goldman Sachs) has been managing the theft for close to 15 years along with the Bank of England. During the Obama visit to London, a surprise email arrived without solicition, since it was deemed very important. A second independent source confirmed the same motive for the official London visit. He has USGovt, USMilitary, and US Homeland Security connections. The two sources have dovetailed nicely in confirmation of certain stories. For instance, each source in September 2010 mentioned Papa Bush providing narcotics money aid to Bank of America in order to prevent an overnight bank default. They each mentioned the exact same $13 billion figure without my prompt.
The message from the gold banker cited how Obama had no good reason to be visiting the British bankers. He claimed Obama went there to beg the London bankers not to discontinue obstacles for release of the giant fund of money that had been highjacked. The Intl Court of the Hague has been involved, as has Interpol, to apply pressure on the criminal banker leaders in England and the United States. Upon inquiry of whether the appeal centered upon Wanta Funds, he said yes, he believes so. Something big is going on behind the curtains . Here is the detailed comment from the gold banker. He wrote, “This is nothing but the final and desperate attempt to avoid the unavoidable. The global Anglo-American dominance is coming to an end. The Bank of England has decided to pull out of the grand fund highjack game that has been so profitable to the US-Anglo bankers for over ten years.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FURTHERMORE, there is a letter that has been sent to the Chinese Ambassador on this same topic. China currently has a $47 Trillion dollar lien against the USA relating to these same settlements. The court cases involved are listed in the letter. Might I suggest that this publication consider writing a story on this topic?
http://www.scribd.com/doc/58049818/Yesui-160611-Hodges-Too-Yesui
THESE ARE THE KINDS OF THINGS THAT WE SHOULD BE STAYING HOME AND TAKING CARE OF…we have been stolen blind by our own elected officials.
Thanks Mk, This is a very tough area for two reasons. Getting a good handle on this stuff requires some expertise to really understand it or you end up just writing about what someone told you the deal was. But how do you know?
And then part two, even if you think you know…how can you get it across to folks. Like Phil said: “The ability of the average American to absorb anything beyond a bumper sticker slogan or an episode of Glee or Dancing With the Stars is decidedly limited.”
I only learned about the Wanta situation this year via a VT member who is intimately familiar with it. Before you write on a really hairy topic it is generally wise to research what has been done. And there is not much on Wanta…which is scary in itself. You can smell the fear. He has a $4.6 trillion in funds in his name in the Richmond Federal reserve, with a court order to turn in over, and the news will not even cover it. Terror is the only possible explanation.
Dealing with these multi trillion dollar banking mysteries is like waking up one morning on another planet. How do you call home and explain what happened. They will just think you are on a bender.
Thanks for the interesting comments folks. We have no one to rely on but ourselves. I think you see we are experimenting with what I have called these duet pieces. This is the second with Phil…to see if we can come up with a one and one make three kind of leverage to start pulling more people into some cross pollination on this stuff. We also want to encourage more retired Intel folks to get into the public arena fight more, because everything is on the line now. We need everybody’s help.
And as you see I am trying to multimedia these pieces. The feedback is folks find the delivery more interesting. I have hundreds of hours of film footage I will beging getting highlights of up on VT this summer. Just have to juggle it in as it will add a new dimension. Some of the people are dead now (naturaly causes) and I have the only video.
Please pass the links around. The more reads we see on some topics, that has an impact on where to spend more time. We have to reach more and more people. We are all volunteers here at VT. There are no finances…so we really are free…for now anyway
Jim Dean, VT
Dear Mr. Dean,
Wanta is not that difficult to explain. Essentially, when Russia was hitting the skids, the USA and a consortium of other countries kicked money into a pool for two purposes: one, to convert Russia to a market economy and two, to buy up rubles at fire-sale prices. Wanta was in charge of the ruble operation. When the ruble revalued and became worth a pile of money, the proceeds from that arbitrage were supposed to be divided up among the countries and individuals who had invested. Certain high-ranking US officials decided that they wanted to divert this money to their own use. This group consisting of a family, their close associates and minions, has been diverting this money ever since. Just as you pointed out, whenever anyone attempts to claim this money, either it disappears ala PROMIS’s backdoor or it gets diverted into other things. There is no doubt that those involved in this situation are committing crimes. For one thing, they are denying the US treasury the tax revenue on that money which is sorely needed at this juncture.
The same is true of the monies mentioned by Jim Willie. The worst part of this is that this group has been using the vast sums that they commandeered to trade in the markets and become a real power behind the screen.
I could go into more detail, but there was a lot of information published on this topic on the website of Christopher Story. Christopher lost his life because he tried to get this story out to the public. He was poisoned just after he revealed that mortgage-backed derivatives were neither securities nor legal under US law.
Thank you for responding to my post. I am about to embark on the second draft of a book, so I don’t have a lot of time, but if I did, I would be delighted to research and write stories on this topic for Vets Today. I refer a lot of people to this site. What you are doing here is VALUABLE and unique.
MK
The Wanta story is explained in detail in this report as well as the financial crimes before and after 9/11;
http://www.israelshamir.net/Contributors/Collateral_Damage_911.pdf
Additionally the following article is a proposal to dispose of the criminals who pulled it off and recover all the funds looted from the Treasury.
http://www.zerohedge.com/print/365866
Dear Paul,
Thanks for the info. I wish that everybody who posts here would also post this information to the open publishing wires of the various indymedia servers around the world. You would be very surprised at the number of people who read the news items on those servers.
I also recommend sending copies of this information to elected officials and asking them why the Bush cabal has not been arrested? Once our government officials realize that MANY people are aware of their unwillingness to prosecute these criminals, they will begin to act against them out of SELF-INTEREST
mk
I actually believe most Americans would agree with this article. Most people I talk to say the same thing however, ‘ no matter who we put in office, they never do what they say they are going to do.’ The electoral system obviously needs changing, but why would these bozos pass laws to get rid of themselves.
Phil Giraldi has always been foremost among the believable. Thank God for Phil Giraldi of CNI (Council for National Interest, D.C.) and Grant Smith of IRemp (Institute for Research Middle eastern Policy)…, if nothing else at least they are pointing fingers at the right people and in the right direction and they do it consistently and persuasively and in style…
Thanks for the added boost Jim Dean.
Looking forward to more but have a small suggestion. I wouldn’t touch the global warming climate change debate right now as you will lose people who might otherwise listen. The science has been manipulated so badly people don’t know who to believe and are not going to listen to Al Gore and his carbon trading scheme.
Kelli. I was taught about Global Warming, in my weather classes at CSUNorthridge,1983. They were stating how temps have staedily been increasing, and if continued, our glaciers, water sources weather all the things happening now would happen… So those that we would loose because of a few mere facts, well I would suggest they are morons anyway.
Can’t say that our Universities are great for teaching the truth, could have been the start of the global warming propaganda movement. What history has taught us is that the climate has been warming and cooling for centuries and has more to do with the sun than man. But I didn’t mention that to start a debate TJ because frankly, I’m mostly on the fence. I will never believe a con artist like Al Gore, I can tell you that. If we were to talk about pollution or our addiction to foreign oil, now that’s something else entirely.
Kelli, give me a break! If you are talking todays standards, then maybe, yet my schooling was almost thirty years ago, Before even Reagan’s Goons stated the phoney baloney clampdown. And your history teaching us sounds right out of Fox News. Record breaking storms, heatwaves, floods, increasing steadily since before the eighties, this has been what is occuring. -And it’s quite possible that the military aircraft, Chem trails, could be far greater in GLOBAL WARMING, than the Co2. -Wrapping us in aluminum and other heavy metals like a baked potato.
I wont argue with you about chemtrails that is a huge issue and I don’t dispute the crazy weatherbut is it caused by the average person? Are you telling me that natural cycles don’t occur?
Check this out for NASA images of sun activity just 6 days ago.
http://www.youtube.com/user/BeePeeOilDisaster#p/u/7/OyfXWECtDMg
Remember, when looking at these images, that the white outline circle is the actual size of the sun, the black disc is on the camera to enable us to see the activity without being blinded.
It’s amazing how enormous these sunflares (termed ‘coronal mass ejections’ or CME’s) are. these flares are shooting out to distances many, many times greater than the diameter of the sun. It’s been known for years now that a 26,000 year sun-spot cycle would complete itself at this time and of course affect the weather and tectonic movement. It’s been presented to us by Hollywood as the ‘end of the world’, but that is bogus in my opinion.
Now they’re predicting a mini ice age. ‘Experts’ are easily bought. Beside, politicians don’t give a crap about the climate 50 years from now. The whole warming thing was an excuse to tax everybody.
@kelli I wouldn’t touch the global warming climate change debate right now as you will lose people who might otherwise listen.
I agree.
Jesus Christ!
Excellent article. So much has been “off the table” for so many years, and the public knows our government has failed us but hasn’t quite pieced together the why and how.
I agree with kelli, though, that global warming should be left out – at best a second tier problem. Consider that reining in the global war on everything and everyone would substantially reduce our carbon footprint and leave it at that.
G Street, stay away from 14th and K, or C Street for that matter.
I’ve said it before…I’ll say it again. There is only one way to win back the USA at this point, and that is through a highly coordinated, lightning-strike military coup…anything short of that will fail.
There can be no political solution to our problems.
I agree with you. To try and do things peacefully and legally is going to take too long and we don’t have that much time and the deck is stacked against us. I take no pleasure in saying that but I live in Madison Wi and just witnessed how far being polite takes you. I think to get the brainwashed sheep out of their consumer based comas, the economic system has to collapse.
They make laws so as to slip us into a staightjacket! Well, slip the common man into one, anyway. I personally don’t give a hoot about their laws. Nor do I give a hoot about doing things in a conventional manner ( that’s how we wound up in this mess in the first place!); if people want to protest, let’em…while the cops are thumping their skulls, I’ll be across town playing ‘Milk Man’ with the policeman’s wife!
We should be doing everything in our power to make the lives of our oppressors as miserable as possible!
Damn Anonymous, you got a point there about not going to the protest, but heading cross town!

Why the Banksters Hate Islam http://www.activistpost.com/2011/03/why-banksters-hate-islam.html
Mr. Giraldi, I have a hard time trusting anything you say after your resentment at federal employes that you started your peice with. I am a combat veteran and retired VA trauma therapist and my health insurance costs out of my pocket between $400 and $500 dollars. I have a masters degree and 30 years of specific experience. If I was overpayed then much of the working class is living in poverty. Do you want the private sector working class wage levels to stay the same? Do you want the top 10% wealthy to not contribute and share their prosperity in fair taxes? You may want all gov. workers to be brought down to the level of private sector wages without bargaining power. If so you would make a good neo-con and probably agree with shipping the middle class work over seas to the lowest bidder. A combat vet with PTSD could make a therapy phone call to India or China and talk to Jahn or Chong and the tax payer would not have to pay an American combat vet graduate degree therapist with many years experience a fair wage that has been earned. Be careful that you dont lump us all in the same catagory as the Top Dog Administrators who get decent bonuses even when they do poor performance. They make up a small percentage of us providers of services to the people who appreciate what we do. The contractors who do the work I did for the Feds. charge a hell of alot more per hour then we got. Do your home work. I did not get wealthy in my career and the VA is a non-profit org.
Tim, We here are generally aware here that Federal employees do not have gold plated situations. And I think Phil was clearly referring to the upper eschelons where the air is rare. And the retiring and coming back to do the same work at more than you were gettng before, that has been with us a long time, but it exploded after 911, where you could get a nice contract if you were a chickken sandwich, but had but some time in.
The high prices have come down. Even a top counter terrorism guy now….$100K is kind of the max, where it use to be double that. After ten years, there are just a lot more experienced people around. And the class room guys have been somewhat replaced by folks who have killed people…as hands on experience carries more cache than class room stuff.
America is corrupted through and through. Washington is the cesspool from which all corruption flows and it flows everywhere in the form of bailouts, grants, and loans. With it comes the chains that bind evermore to this corrupt gang of liars, thieves and whores. Most sheeple would rather go shopping at the holiest of all temples: the mall. Most would rather gather in front of the Tv and watch mind numbing productions that are designed to distract and even brainwash. The media is owned and run by zionist jews who are also the main culprits behind the corruption in Washington. They are the worst type of creature who befouls everything they touch. They are the blackmailers, the whore-mongers, the liars and hypocrites. Everything they touch turns to shit.
Sooner or later there will be hell to pay. When the SHTF I hope there will be enough of us prepared to do what needs to be done and ready and willing to do it.
After reading what he wrote below I quit reading.
“And then there is global warming. No reasonable debate on what can or should be done is possible because some wing nuts in the Republican Party have decided that even if the polar ice caps are melting there must never be any suggestion that the cause of the change is human activity.”
I didn’t quit reading but almost did after that as well. Don’t you think we need to get other things in order before we can even tackle that issue? That’s if we can even do anything about the climate considering it’s most likely natual cycles that we have no control over. We have to be able to trust in our officials before we can trust the science they are trying to promote.
considering it’s most likely natual cycles that we have no control over.
What the?! Kelli?? It will be a cold day in Hell for our situation to reverse itself,”Naturally”-And ya, we have NOOO control over our impact on this planet we all share!
I never said we have no impact did you not see my comment regarding pollution and our addiction to foreign oil? The sun has a lot to do with our climate and goes through cycles. Do you not agree that earth has suffered severe weather throughout the centuries?
Yes Kelli, I saw your comment, I hear you there.- The sun does have everything to do with our climate, but your key word is Cycles. These indicators, events are all ever increasing, constantly through the recent years. Certain cultures have been drastically impacted in the last few years, because their water source, Glacier/Ice fields have dried up. It’s already changing severely. There are many factors that could help reverse some of these trends. The US is one quarter of the factors helping to increase these events, but it needs to be a Global effort.
People have asked me if there is Global Warming, why is it so cold in Los Angeles where the rest of the Nation get’s heat waves. We have had uncharacteristic, through this last decade, Low morning, up to early afternoon cloud cover. What is the significance of this? Through Warming, primarily at the Equator, more heat, means more evaporation. More evaporation, means moisture is encapsulated for lack of better word, absorbed into the air parcel. Hot air will hold more moisture than cold, dense air. When air cools it condenses out of the air, like the moisture on the outside of a glass of icewater, to where within 4Degrees of the ‘Dewpoint’, clouds form. Then 4 degrees less than this precipitation occurs. So back to our uncharacteristic cloud cover and cooler temps. The more moisture in the air is forming these Marine type layers over us. The ground does not absorb as much radiant heat, into the sand, rocks, cement buildings, which would in years past reradiate that heat back out into the environment. At this point two days before Summer, we have not had clear days because of the clouds, therefore the Earth has less of a specific heat to put back into the environment. As it turned last year, we had a similar summer condition as I have described, yet by Fall, the Sun had for longer hours heated us back up to where we had one day of record breaking heat, Breaking all temperature records since 1880 when they started recording temps. I suspect the same again this year. I tell people, we are only going to get more and more rain and storms for the rest of our lifetimes.
See ya Toddy…!

We have been infiltrated by marxists and betrayed by “American” internationalists for a long time. In fact, Alexander Hamilton was the Rothschild’s agent during our country’s earliest days. It was he who pushed for a central bank in clear violation of our Constitution–one reason why he and Jefferson did not get along.
Bella Dodd lived during the first half of the twentieth century and was systematically lured into marxism. She was a prcticing lawyer and professor, and during one Communist Party meeting she was unexpectedly slapped back into reality.
Her book, “School of Darkness” is an astonishing description of how the communists put a premium on school control, and quietly infiltrated and consolidated power, and turned the teachers’ union into the fortress it is today. All under the radar. In print and online.
Kudos to managing editor and columnist Jim W. Dean for his piece and his willingness to address comments in such an open and responsive fashion.
My thanks to Phil Giraldi as well (and the many excellent commenters).
The whole notion of “enemies at home” changes with every new lie told by those in power.
I have posted this, every time that I have read a Phil Girdaldi article here on VT, and I will continue to do so:
Phil Giraldi is a limited hangout.
Restricting my comments only to this article, I point out his endorsement of the global warming fraud and his reference to the killing of Osama bin Laden.
Phil Giraldi’s articles contaminate VT. On the other hand, they serve to instruct us in how to recognize the enemy.
I totally agree…I’ve said about the same thing here at VT, and at AntiWar com, but the idea never got any traction here, or there. I wasn’t familiar with the term ‘limited hangout’, til you mentioned it, but that’s exactly right. Guys like Phil Giraldi, Paul Craig Roberts, Ray McGovern, etc., only ever offer up commentary on that which is already established in the “alternative” media…in other words: they never bring anything new to the table. Ever! They simply mirror what we already know…they do not add to our knowledge base in any way (not mine anyhow). They are moles…err, at least they’re trying to be!
“In the third rank we shall set up our own, to all appearance, off position, which, in at least one of its organs, will present what looks like the very antipodes to us. Our real opponents at heart will accept this simulated opposition as their own and will show us their cards.” – Protocol 12, verse 11.
As I said in another VT thread…90% of the “alternative” media is owned and operated by the same group that controls the “mainstream” media.
There’s a reason that Phil Giraldi is the darling of such disinfo sites as antiwar.com and counterpunch.org — because he is disinfo.
Training to fly a commercial jetliner takes months. The airlines preferentially hire ex-military jet pilots. There is absolutely no way that someone of Phil Giraldi’s contacts and obvious intelligence could believe that 10 guys, who had only limited training on single-engine prop planes, could have successfully commandeered and taken the controls of commercial jetliners and then performed precision flying halfway across the country and back again and then finally slammed those planes into the WTC towers. The same applies to the fictional exploits of the other nine “hijackers.”
The fact that Phil Giraldi does not publicly trash the official conspiracy theory of the events of 9/11 proves that he is disinfo.
That is incriminating on it’s face foo…But, on the other hand, it’s hard to expect high-profile to seemingly go out on a limb…( and yet, given that the official story is pure bs they wouldn’t be )…Yeah, you’re right…We have to strike at the heart, or the achilles heel as it were of this monstrous cabal: 9-11 was a Mossad/Mossad asset/rogue CIA false-flag terror op….Period..
rogue CIA ?!! Hee hee Hey!
This is for Mr. Dean,
your quote: The Ron Paul faction, of course, did say no. They are the True Blues, not for sale, and hated the most by the elites. This is generally how I decide to vote for, whoever the crooked elites hate the most.
that could not be any further from the truth. ron and his son rand are two of the biggest liars ever spawned by the so-called election system. the father actually named his son after the late racist/zionist russian jewess author of Atlas Shrugged and proponent of philosophy known as objectivism which simply means a means by which the rich get richer and the poor get the shaft! What’s really sad is so many of the so-called people in the know are totally enamored of these two HYPOCRITES! Believe me, I’ve checked them out: the father has NEVER said that Wall Street should go the way ofthe dinosaurs because it serves the rich while son Rand is all for slavery and they both state that THEY ARE FRIENDS OF ISRAEL. Everyting else they say is lies, lies, lies! Beware! Ron should go back to catching babies.
Yeah…maybe you’re right…If Ron was decent he would have at least objected to having several primaries stolen from him…But I don’t think to many people are enamored of them Maryam…It’s just that when you compare them to Guilianni, McCain, Palin etc….
Maryam, These political people have a lot of issues on the table with them on the time. One of the reasons they duck speaking out when they don’t have to is because voters have a long track record of voting for what they don’t like versus what they do.
When folks press those voting booth selections a lot of different competing interests are on the line. Who here has voted for what they felt was a perfect presidential candidate??
The context here on Paul was specifically put in because so many on the Left refering to the TeaParty folks like they are some monolithic group think monster. Factions develop, naturally and unnaturally.
At the end of the day, the Pols like to get it down to a few emontional issues anyway. It’s all that a lot of folks can remember.
The Pauls get a lot of exposure, and have a lot of enemies…so I don’t see anything being missed or censored out of their public profiles. Thanks for the input.
Dear Mr. Dean,
For all of those who are tired of seeing our country and the world held hostage by crooked banksters and lying polticians, please read this posting thoroughly. Mr. Dean and Jim WIllie (the well known columnist and gold trader) have admitted that the Wanta fund exists. Jim Willie has written about a long-standing fraud perpetuated by a number of well-known figures in government. They have conspired with the Bank of England, the Deutsche Bank and others to steal the interest on the huge escrow accounts held by the US government in trust for purposes such as Social Security, pensions (like the railroad pension etc) and others. They have diverted this interest to their own trading accounts and used it to further enrich themselves much as the Prime Minister of Greece attempted to do with his self-dealing in credit default swaps.
The legal action that has been taken behind the scenes on a global basis was to reclaim this money and make the US dollar and government solvent again. Even the Queen loaned money to get this accomplished. This returning of monies to the various government treasuries where they belong is referred to as the GLOBAL SETTLEMENTS. Right now, our world is being held hostage by men who have benefited greatly from their time in government. Instead of being grateful, they have stolen from us, the people of this country. We need these settlements to be concluded and those that have blocked them to be punished accordingly.
THOSE THAT COME TO THIS SITE HAVE FOUGHT FOR THIS COUNTRY BECAUSE THEY HOLD DEEPLY THAT EVERY MAN HAS A RIGHT TO LIFE, LIBERTY AND THE PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS. As yourselves, do you want your children to become serfs under those that STOLE from this government? Do you want to serve those that have TWISTED this entire government structure for personal gain? Do you want to keep fighting wars that have less to to do with protecting the country and more to do with the transfer of great wealth from the people to the pockets of those that have perverted the government into an ATM for their wealth generation?
If you see things the way that I do, you will call your Congressmen and Senators; your governors and fellow military and you will demand that the Global Settlements be concluded (thereby pumping trillions into the treasury of the USA) and the Dinar revalued to free the Iraqi people to begin rebuilding their own country.
Please read the letters and the articles at the site that I have posted above. Use them to begin standing up for the rights of those who are the rightful owners of this land: THE PEOPLE. Free us all from the clutches of an evil self-serving group that has been stealing from this country for decades.
MK

June 17, 2011 – The White Hats Report #21
The Kenyan in the White House will sign to release the GS provided he gets his extortion money on the IQD revaluation.
The on-going battle rages between the customary conundrums … right v. wrong, good v. evil, thugs v. the common people. Our US President Barack Obama who is both ineligible to hold the office and totally incapable of carrying out the duties of said office is again resorting to thuggery … this time extortion. The White Hats have been tracking the progress as patiently as everyone else allowing the good fellows in the international banking community to move through the process of being the meticulous mechanics they are. To find that it had stopped at Obama’s desk … again … gave us great pause as we had a feeling it meant more than waiting for a signature. True to form, Obama did it again. We never thought that our President could be so blatant in his demands. We shouldn’t be surprised as Congress allows him and his controllers, i.e. NWO gang of Bush, Clintons, Kissinger, Soros, et al to hold the American dollar hostage and threaten the world financial system … all for their own personal gain, attempting to leverage Obama’s temporary position to enrich their bank accounts, all the while financially destroying the American people.

Wow! Thanks for bringing this info. to light. I seem to remember Benjamin Fulford writing about this as well. Not sure what to think of Ben, he sometimes seems ‘out there’ but fascinating at the same time.
ooops…”too” many people..
With the glut informantion one has to use alot of intelligence including emotional, moral, and intellectual intelligence. What I see in the comments are one person trusting one source and contempteous of another and alot of conspiratorial theories and alot of resentment, anger, and feelings of disempowerment. It seems to me that all the writers and commentators have a small peice of the truth and like Rush Limbaugh or Michael Moore, they weave their own imagination, wishful thinking, agenda, lies, distortions, and bias into this little bit of the truth. Then we fight each other over it. “I’m right. No I am right.” etc. This kind of interaction if not done in a more open and cooperative manner is not much different then two sides about ready to go to war who are right with God on their side. Lets evolve. Now!
thank you for this fantastic article, much needed fuel for intelligent debates.
The goal Colonel was to try to get folks on the Left and Right talking about working together on major issues they share, like anti-imperalism. But sometimes the hate propaganda has people so wrapped up they are like the Allies at Versailles, wanting to stick it to the Germans, and blind to the fact that financially crippling their biggest trading partner in Europe was going to cause huge unemployment and suffering after the war, open the door for the commies, and fuel the embers for the next war.
We are losing the divide and conquer game…losing it badly. Our democracy is not a three ring circus, but a hundred ring one.
I was watching an interview of Admiral Mike Mullen by Charlie Rose and he was making the comment that he felt that the EU would continue to cut back on military spending and the USA would have to carry the load. A US Colonel in Australia recently made the comment that the country was only spending the minimum required to stay a US ally and that its spending was for defence purposes only. I am sure that this is supported by Aussies.
I can’t see any of America’s allies wanting to be involved in another large scale war, and most seem to be wanting their troops out of the war in Afghanistan.
I do believe that the USA has been hijacked and is under house arrest or occupation. I believe that the bankers and military machine are now the masters calling the shots.
Also, can someone please raise the idea of having a tax on the sale of all derivatives to pay off the national USA Governent debt.
USA invaded by multi-millions of illegal aliens who especially harm USA citizen working-poor in MANY ways; economically and socially.
“But they do the jobs Americans will not do,” the brainwashed and those with vested interests spew.
The elite-owned mass media will not and has not relayed what actually happens when USA citizens attempt to perform jobs in California’s agricultural areas; physical attacks, vandalism to cars, etc.
The illegals, etc. are well-aware of the supply/demand equation and rid themselves of competition.
As an aside, for years, incoming illegals have flocked to urban and suburban areas.
Head for the barrio ye Gringos… try to obtain a job or housing there.
The LA Times performed investigative reporting a few years back and proved the pro-Chicano anti-everybody else bias in hiring, housing etc.
Reality sucks but the truth hurts the politically correct causes AND the elites determination to institute an oligarchy within the USA to ensure the continuation of wealth and power ever-upwards.
“There’s class warfare, all right, Mr. (Warren) Buffett said, but it’s my class, the rich class, that’s making war, and we’re winning.”
