Uri Avnery has demonstrated a talent for dissecting the Radical Zionist mind like no other…and while they are still alive, too.
Few have had the birds eye view that he has had…in the Irgun as a teen, a young rebel Knesset member, journalist, peace activist, and now it his 80′s, the chronicler of the Soul of Israel.
The WWII Japanese attempted to do this. When they experimented with chemical warfare on Northern Chinese villages they sent their medical people to do autopsies on victims literally in the field.
They cut them open while they were still living to view the effects the chemicals had on fresh organs. American POWs were also experimented upon in this same program, but few of us are aware of that.
These Japanese war crimers from Unit 731 bought their way to freedom by making a deal with the U.S. to turn over all of their experiment records. You see we had no human testing date for chemical weapons, and no immediate prospect for getting any, so the dirty deal was done for ‘national security’.
But as Uri will describe below, this ‘instilled memory’ is a never ending process in Israel. The Zio-Supremacists have honed the art of attacking the minds of their own people, and rendering them powerless to resist. To what you might ask? To anything that Dr. Jekyl and Mr Hyde chose.
In the Beginning...
I won’t spoil Uri’s piece for you. It’s another gem. But I will inject that this is not purely a Zionist crime, despite their being so good at it, and so ruthless, especially to their own people. This nasty art is practiced all over the world…where reality is replaced with Alice in Wonderland, to a point where people will now die for Alice.

FOR SEVERAL weeks now, our army and navy have been in a state of high alert, bravely facing a deadly threat to our very existence: ten little boats trying to reach Gaza. These vessels are carrying a dangerous gang of vicious terrorists, in the form of elderly veterans of peace campaigns.
Binyamin Netanyahu has affirmed our unshakable determination to defend our country: We shall not let anyone break the blockade to smuggle rockets to the terrorists in Gaza, who will then launch them to kill our innocent children.
This is a kind of record even for Netanyahu: not a single word is true. The flotilla is not carrying any weapons – the representatives of respected international media in the boats provide assurance of this. Also, I think we can rely on the Mossad to plant at least one agent in every boat. (After all, what am I paying my taxes for?) Hamas has not launched rockets for a long time – it has very good reasons of its own to keep the unofficial “Tahdiyeh” (“Quiet”) agreement.
Audacity of Hope - And Terrorists?
If the flotilla had been allowed to reach Gaza, it would have been news for a few hours, and that would have been that.
Israel’s total mobilization, the training of the naval commandos for capturing the boats, the acts of sabotage carried out in Greek ports, the immense political pressure exerted by Israel and the US on the poor, bankrupt Greek government – all this has kept this minor initiative in the news for weeks now, drawing attention to the blockade of the Gaza Strip.
What is this blockade for? There is no ascertainable reason for it now, if there ever was one. To terrorize the Gaza people into overthrowing the Hamas government, the victor in democratic elections? Well, it didn’t work, did it?

To compel Hamas to change its terms for a prisoner exchange which would release Gilad Shalit? That didn’t either. To prevent the smuggling of arms into the Strip?
The arms are flowing freely through a hundred tunnels from Egypt, if we are to believe what our army tells us. So what purpose does the blockade serve? Nobody seems to know. But it is the rock of our existence. That much is clear.
As a result of world pressure following last year’s flotilla, the blockade was eased considerably. But Gaza manufacturers are still prevented from getting their products out of the Gaza Strip – thus condemning most of the population to unemployment and abject poverty.
The same goes for the disgusting trade in human remains. Netanyahu promised to turn over the remains of 84 “terrorists” (both Fatah and Hamas) to Mahmoud Abbas as a gift. At the last moment, he reneged. His people make believe that these remains, by now hardly identifiable, may serve as bargaining chips in the game for releasing Gilad Shalit.
The same goes for the actions against yesterday’s fly-in of international peace activists though Ben-Gurion airport. All they wanted was to go to Bethlehem and Gaza, which can only be reached by crossing Israeli territory. Almost a thousand police officers were mobilized to meet that threat.
All of these unthinking knee-jerk reactions: We must be strong. Everywhere there lurk mortal dangers. Israel must defend itself. Otherwise there will be a second Holocaust.

THIS IS an interesting phenomenon: people see innocent-looking elderly human-rights activists on their TV screens and believe they are seeing dangerous provocateurs, because the government and most of the media tell them so.
Sinister “Arab and Muslim” individuals are hiding in the boats. An Arab American on one boat has been unmasked as somebody who has collected money for a Hamas social institution. A dangerous terrorist! How absolutely awful!
The phenomenon of people seeing something and thinking they are seeing something else has always intrigued me. How can people not believe their own eyes but believe the eyes of others?
This week I got an e-mail message from a man who remembered something from the time he was a pupil of my late wife, Rachel, in first grade.
Rachel asked him to raise his right hand. When the boy did so, Rachel said: “No, no. That is your left hand!” She turned to the other children and asked them, which hand it was. Following their teacher, they shouted in unison: “The left! The left!” Seeing this, the first boy started to waver. In the end he conceded: “Yes. It is the left hand.”
“No, you were right in the first place,” Rachel assured him. “Let this be a lesson to all of you: if you are sure that you are right, insist on it. Never change your view because other people say the opposite.”

Has Your Brain Been Infiltrated?
Quite by chance, straight after reading this testimony, I saw on TV the results of a scientific investigation by Israeli researchers into “instilled memory”.
Their experiments show that people who have seen something with their own eyes, but are told by everybody else that they have seen something else, start to suppress their own memory and “remember” that they saw what the others had allegedly seen.
Neurological research then showed that this is can actually be seen happening in the brain: the imagined memory replaces the real. Social pressure has done its work: the instilled memory has become real memory.
I believe that this is even truer for an entire nation, which is, of course, composed of individuals. I have seen this many times.
For example, for 11 months before Lebanon War I, not a single shot was fired from Lebanon into Israel. Against all expectation, Yasser Arafat had succeeded in enforcing a total cease-fire even on his Palestinian opponents. Yet after Ariel Sharon started the war, practically all Israelisclearly “remembered” that the Palestinians had shot across the border every single day, turning life in Israel into hell.
Does Bibi Suffer From an Instilled Memory?
I call this “Parkinson in reverse” – while advanced Parkinson patients do not remember things that happened, these patients do remember things which never happened.
There is a mental disorder called “paranoia vera”. Patients adopt a crazy assumption – e.g. “everybody hates me” – and then build an elaborate structure around it.
Every bit of information which seems to support it is eagerly absorbed, every item that contradicts it is suppressed. Everything is interpreted so as to reinforce the initial assumption. The pattern is strictly logical – indeed, the more complete and the more logical the structure, the more serious is the disease.
Among the accompanying symptoms are belligerent behavior, recurrent suspicions, disconnection from the real world, conspiracy theories and narcissism. It seems that whole nations can fall victim to this illness. Ours certainly appears to have.
The whole world is against us. Everybody is out to destroy us. Every move is a threat to our very existence. Everyone critical of Israeli policy is an anti-Semite or self-hating Jew. Indeed, even when we do a good thing, it is turned against us.
Witness: We left the Gaza Strip and even dismantled our settlements there, and what did we get in return? Qassam rockets!” (Never mind that Sharon refused to turn the Strip over to any Palestinian body, leaving a void. He cut it off from the world and turned it into one big prison camp.)

Witness: “After Oslo we armed Arafat’s security forces, and they turned their arms against us!” (Never mind that we never quite fulfilled our commitments under the Oslo agreements, that the occupation got more oppressive and that the settlements on Palestinian land increased by leaps and bounds. Also, the Palestinian security services never actually acted against Israel.)
Witness: “We withdrew from South Lebanon and what did we get? Hizbollah and Lebanon War II!” (Never mind that Hizbollah was born in reaction to our 18-year occupation there, and that we ourselves chose to launch the second Lebanon War after a minor border incident.)
IT HAS been said that paranoiacs also have real-life enemies. The trouble is that the paranoid by their offensive and distrustful behavior, create more and more real-life enemies. The slogan “All the world is against us” may easily function as a self-fulfilling prophesy.
Israel is not the only country to suffer from this affliction. At some time, the Germans have been afflicted. So have the Serbs. So, to some extent, has the US and many others. Unfortunately, the costs of paranoia are very high.
So let us start to behave like sane people. Let the little boats go to Gaza. Let arrivals at Ben-Gurion airport go to the Palestinian territories and pick olives, if that’s what they want.
Even if we do behave like a normal nation, Israel will continue to exist. Really!

You are watching the self-destruction of Israel. The more they resist humanitarian aid to Gaza the more it will come and the more Gaza is getting the attention it so desperately needs.
When these conditions existed for the Jews in Nazi Germany, the political clout of the International Jewry came to their aid. Now that Israel has brought forth Arabs to the forefront of every western nation with 911, humanity is waking up to Palestine…. And now that the western world is no longer buying the Arab Terrorist thing much any more, the question is who are really the terrorists? When one looks closely at the history of modern terrorism the research leads to Israel. The non coverage of this and 911 through the media is why they are losing credibility. You can only control the conversation for so long, before the tides turn on you.
The ‘dial a terrorist’ theater is becoming more widely known. Intelligence agencies historically, and now even corporate organizations are in this for a business. Pipeline bombings are a specialty. You can make a tidy some of dough on future markets all over the world if you know these are going to take place.

The scriptures actually speak repeatedly of the tribes that will be lost, who will forget who they are, who will be scattered and in the time of ‘revelation’ (of the truth) these tribes will remember who they are and will be significant in overcoming the ‘jews who say they are jews but are not…the synagogue of Satan’. The Israelis are definitely not ‘Israel’. They have stolen the name, along with everything else that they’ve stolen, including the critical, free-thinking mind of the American people, or at least some of them.
Judaized Khazarian bankers wanted to create a military outpost in ME to expand their influence, a country out of thin air. The idea took shape with Zionism. Zionism needed justification. So Holocaust and Antisemitism were created out of thin air and spread around the world thru their media (Parkinson in Reverse and Instilled Memory, respectively). After establishment of Israel and the consequent rise of Antizionist movement we have been witnessing a gradually growing number of Judaized Khazarian antizionists joining the movement. They come in either secular or orthodox rabbis form. There are two common theme in their arguments. 1-They never question the fundamentals: veracity of Holocaust, antisemitism, and Israel’s “right to exist”. They only question the Israeli authorities’ “behavior” vis-a-vis Palestinians, thus attempting to metamorphose anitzionism from “fundamental” to “behavioral” issues. 2-Their activities are NOT directed towards Zionists but towards Non-Jews.
Uri Avnery’s analysis is false because what Israeli citizens believe is not much different from what most Judaized Khazarians around the world who have never been to Israel believe. His position does not differ greatly from a clever attorney who resorts to mental competency issue in his defense strategy for his client to remove responsibility for his actions.
Art, you certainly have some overlap on world Jewry…but there have been huge disputes beween the Zios and Disapora over the years. Uri was focusing primarily on his Israel beat. That is why I added in my perpective that I have watched this ‘instilled memory’ magic show going on for decades here because I am 62. People will believe anything. It’s a universal problem.
But one of the reasons I did the piece was that Uri presented something that never really gets touched on. Those being conned don’t really want to own up to their maybe being a bit too easy to have their minds swindled, and the con artists like to have a least a fig leaf of cover.
If you look for it, you will find this instilled memory Twilight Zone in a lot of long running issues…with so many people believing what they choose to. I remember my first shock when a pulled out an autobiography and quickly showed someone a quote, an admission that they were wrong. Their response was something like, “Well you have your version [of the truth]…and I have mine.” (ie. whatever you show me will not make any difference). I learned to try to not waste time on people like this.
Look at the Exodus. After Judeans ruined Egypt for giving them sanctuary and subsequent expulsion from Egypt, they constructed their wishes for their god to take revenge from Egyptians in the form of their holy book and have since believed their god actually followed up on their wishes. Five hundred years later they repeated this artificial history making psychosis with Iranians in the Book of Esther. They even built a tomb in Hamedan for someone who never existed. They have filled their history with such stories until Holocaust, which is the converts’ version of the same line of thinking. It is not new phenomenon even if we analyze it with modern terminologies. Similar characteristics exist in other religions or cultish ideologies too. It is certainly not specific to Zionists.
Going back to my post, at the end of the day the only difference between the beliefs of Uri Avnery and Israelis whom he psychoanalyzes is the Israeli government’s behavior. He does not approve of it and Israelis have little problem with it. When it comes to the fundamentals of what Zionism is all about, I have not seen any difference between the two. He is a willful or a victim of the same deception. Has he ever dismissed Holocaust? Has he ever admitted that they are not Semite and Antisemitism is thus meaningless? Has he ever admitted that Israelis have no business to be in Palestine? If he is a victim himself, then why should I put any credibility in his analysis for others?
Germany was the only country in Europe that happily opened its borders to the liced and rejected Khazarians. If he cared for moral integrity, Uri Avnery should be ashamed of being part of a tribe that almost destroyed Germany for not wanting to be culturally trashed from inside. Instead he shamelessly tightens the screw on them even in this short essay.
Art, thank you for your trenchant psychoanalysis of that great and noble self-admitted Zionist, Uri Avnery. About time somebody said it and you did, quite succinctly, I dare say.

Dr. Norman Doidge in an interview talked about this instilled memory thing that Avnery refers to. Dr. Doidge wrote THE BRAIN THAT CHANGES ITSELF. The neuroscience of neuroplasticity is fascinating. His website has a few of his audio interviews. People can literally rewire themselves into being persecuted, or stupid, or fearful of every perceived threat. They take part in their own creation. Until victimhood is redefined as something you lose when you decide to act evilly, none of this repetitious horseshit will change, short of shunning or derision.
The specific condition you address in your comments can be found in this book, which takes a psychoanalytical approach but one that uses fresh ideas, and has some great anecdotes.

Dr. Avnery nailed it perfectly. This is exactly what the problem is with Zionism and extends well beyond Israel’s borders into the subconsciousness of all of us.
We humans are terrible at thinking for themselves, we are much more comfortable in a group setting. It is like the pencil trick: A teacher has two pencils, one red and one green. Most of the class is in on the trick and says that the red pencil is longer. The few not in on it are inclined to believe them rather than risk feeling stupid and saying they are the same.

It is called “A class divided” and it is an experiment on discrimination. A teacher convinces the class that the kids with brown eyes are inferior which leads to hate. Later she reverses it and says the blue eyed students are inferior which causes a reversal of hate.

(Which is true but the mortal enemy part is not. They are also descendants of the real Hebrews, Phoenicians, and other Levantine people – a face proven by Israeli genetic tests)
Ask a Zionist if Israel settled for a bi-national one-state solution if it would be the destruction of Israel. They will say yes, a symbolic destruction because Zionism and Israel’s Jewish identity would be gone. Which ends in a holocaust.
As long at they believe in this sort of thing, there is never going to be an end to the conflict. If Dr. Avnery came to realize the truth (he was in Irgun after all, a Jewish terrorist organization at one time) then there is hope, but like Garibaldi above says it could be hereditary. We’re several generations into Zionism and that distorted false history is very real in their minds just like a cult or a religion.
Just a tad biased. Not all peace activistis are peaceful. Those that fought and attacked Israeli soldiers on Mavi Marmara, for example, were not pacifist peaceniks.
The Dutch paper ‘De Telegraaf’ reported Amin Abu Rashid, a Hamas terroist, was seen “training” with Gaza-bound crew in Greece in late June/early July.
End of this month the UN’s Palmer Commission Report on the Mavi Marmara incident will be released. Let’s see what this report has to say.

Thank you for the lesson in persistence. Luckily I’m old enough and set in my ways to refuse any information from sources I deem unfit like FOX, or even MSNBC when they have it wrong. In my humble opinion it takes a great deal of discipline to counter egregious information sent out to enforce propaganda until the mind is trained simply to ignore even the most brilliantly portrayed information, when the source can be identified as unjust. For me its good and evil. If the source is evil, I immediately look for the counter argument to satisfy the claim that they are lies intended to promote their agenda.
The blockade in Gaza is no more and no less a police state action and no one, even a U.S. military vessell will be allowed in unless it has clearance. Its not a tourist trap after all.
Tim, I am a fan of Uri’s for several reasons, and not the least of which is he has been in the fight for 70 years, as I think he was 14 or 15 with he was a bicycle messenger for the Irgun. Kids were routinely used, of course, so if they were caught the Brits could be charged with child abuse.
He also is a rare example of someone from ‘over there’ who has altered his positions as he learned more. Despite what a fluke that is, you see we still have the anal crowd here where unless you are in 100% agreement with their views you should eat doo doo and die. This is one of the main reasons why coalition efforts have had such a hard uphill fight.
Sure, there are always trolls looking to muddy up the waters, but also plenty of others who are members of the endless debating society, whose main goal is always to debate.
Uri has a 100% media blackout here in the U.S….ah….kind of an indication of how scared the Lobby folks are for his history and views becoming more widely know over here. And yet, we have ‘good guys’ that want to put him through the inquistion.

When Gordon Duff was pulling endless grunt Marine patrols in Vietnam, the squad really had no leadership. The noncoms were all safe back at the base. Those that survived long enough to get out of a combat unit, which was a death sentence, did not do so via endless debating.
Pulling a night ambush and letting VC come up on you within a few feet with everybody holding there fire…was because all understood that you could not miss them at that range and it would all be over ‘for them’ quickly. These dregs of America society being used as cannon fodder with a few college grads mixed in, figured it out very quickly and worked as an intimate team to survive.
There are not many comment boards, even for affinity issues, which would have lasted more than two weeks there. They were smart enough to realize that they had only themselves to depend upon for their survival. But we see too often, and for no good reason, folks on the comment boards because they have no VC to shoot at, so they are looking for substitutes.
The irony here is that even wtih this being an ‘instilled memory’ piece, some still could not break out of that mold. I can’t help but think they would be the ‘base camp’ guys back during the Nam war.
BTW, the average daily food intake, all that Marine grunts could carry on a ten day patrol, was 400 calories of WWII rations. Combat units in Aghanistan today get 6000. Go read Gordon’s piece today for a dose of reality. The point of our doing all this is to help folks fight smarter.

I think if he were still alive you would find him taking arrows in the comment sections also for some 1% deviation of ideology…that he did not measure up. Think about it. Jim, you truly amaze me. I would probably be a URI fan too, if he were not an Israeli Jew. But, Jim your intro is a pure piece of literary excellence! A sheer classic defense of American Warfare and the exoneration of any charges of having fomented war by provoking Japan into attacking pearl Harbor. I suppose, this will have a broad appeal among US Patriots!
You have nearly beaten life into the dead horse of WWII and turned it into a worthy and heroic cause by exposing Japan as the Nation of simian evil which Hollywood so assiduously painted then in the late thirties and forties when young American lads were being groomed to drop out of High School and join military to go and “Slap a Jap,” or “Hang Hirohito.”

There was a presidential historian who lived down the hall from me. I can’t remember his name. He was wandering the halls one day (he usually kept to himself) when I was putting the garbage out, and he was muttering out loud, he knew, he knew. I remember thinking they looked like military coms, but I didn’t pay much attention or really understand the significance. He said they were telegrams about Pearl Harbor. He was really distressed and that’s the last I heard of it for another 10 years when someone wrote a book about it.
One of the reasons why FDR wanted to get in the war was Canada. The Canadians were in the war helping Britain from the start, over two years before the US. The Canadian PM begged the American President repeatedly for help with equipment and troops, and protecting the eastern shore of Canada and the NE states. A few of the European monarchs were hiding out in Ottawa and they had constant communiques. They needed submarines and materiel right up to Greenland, German submarines were swarming the area, and they didn’t have the manpower to fight overseas and protect the eastern coast. (Canada lost 10% of its male population in WWII; don’t believe figures of 44,000.) FDR knew he couldn’t decide to declare war against Germany, the public was against it. But he knew of the pretensions of the Japanese in the Pacific, and by letting it happen, war with Japan automatically meant that the US was at war against Germany.
Don’t forget that the ‘greatest good for the greatest number’ was a favorite quote of his cousin Teddy, and, and, and FDR made the mistake of tightening government spending in 1937 in an attempt to reduce the deficit, and unemployment raged back to nearly the 20% mark in 1938. He need a war-footing to put people back to work, something that economists, cynically, knew kings and potentates had used for centuries.
He also is a rare example of someone from ‘over there’ who has altered his positions as he learned more.
Which means he’s using his prefrontal cortex, the seat of intelligence and thoughtful reflection. The Gaza Strip was unilaterally handed over to the Palestinians in 2005. But prior to that and since 1994, following the Oslo Accords agreements, there was a phased transition of government authority to the Palestinians (ie, Yassar Arafat and his colleagues). Upon leaving the Gaza Strip, Infrastructure for water, sewer, electricity and telecommunications was left in place and Israel continued to sell water, electricity, gas and fuel to the Palestinians. Israel also transferred control of industrial, commercial and agricultural facilities to the PA. Also, Israel continued its economic arrangements with the PA.
Like I already said, Patrick, the disease is hereditary, but I’m still happy for you. The borders of Gaza have now been extended all the way to Greece and beyond, or hadn’t you heard?

EXACTLY! Israel may or may not have the capacity to make peace with their neighbors. They never have, with either neighbors or their hosts in the three thousand years they count as their history. The question is more whether the Arabs and Palestinians want peace. Certainly Hamas does not and it is far from clear if Fatah does. Certianly Lebanon (Hizbullah), Iran and by extension Syria do not.

Reference to the event as a justification for the invasion of Japan is ludecrous since the event was not known to the Americans at the time. Further, the Americans who were doing similar experiments to their own population (Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment) from 1932 to 1972 had no moral ground to argue with Japanese.

That said I am not up to speed on what we knew before war’s end. But I am onboard the general concensus that the invasion casualties for both sides would have dwarfed what the A bombs did. A good case could be made that the unconditional surrender policy was responsible for dragging the war out and incuring huge, totally unecessary destruction and casualites. Keeping Stalin lined up to continue taking the huge losses attacking Germany from the East was considered worth all the other trade offs. That will be argued for eternity I am sure.
