Using “Debt” to War on Veterans

Congress’ Genocide of America’s Veterans, Seniors, Disabled

by Terry Richards

“We are not put into the world to sit still and know, we are put in it to act.”

Woodrow Wilson // Inaugural address as president of Princeton University, 1902.

Certain Members of the United States Congress, the vast majority being of the Republican Party (GOP) and of the new Tea Party, have willfully, knowingly, intentionally, malicously, and with depraved indifference for the welfare and safety of Veterans, Seniors and Disabled who are recipients of Medicare and Medicaid, and by holding Americans and most Democrats hostage in the Debt Ceiling Crisis, have won cuts of at least $100 Billion Dollars from Medicare and Medicaid Hospital Care over the next 10-years for those Veterans, Seniors and Disabled, and have therefore, Deliberately inflicted on this group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part.”

The sole purpose and hope of making these cuts by the above said Members of Congress is the hope that this group will die-off early from the diminishing comprehensive medical careso the Government can save Hundreds of Billions of Dollars in Social Security Retirement and Disability and VA Service-Connected and non-service connected Disability Compensation and Pensions and Dependent Indemnity Compensaton for spouses, children and parents of Veterans for a group that they did not anticipate would live an average of 10-years longer than expected because of advances in Medicine and Science.

Furthermore, and for the same reasons above, these cuts and caps will also affect the VA Budget for Medical Care which will also diminish Comprehensive Medical Care for the over 9-Million Veterans using the VA Healthcare System.

Moreover, cuts in the Defense Budget will also diminish Comprehensive Medical Care for the Men and Women in the U.S. Armed Forces. Some Members of Congress are saying that Defense cuts jeopardize defending America? But in reality all they really care about are their special interest Defense Contractors getting multi-Billion Dollar Contracts. So I say: “Defense cuts only jeopardize greedy Defense Contractor profits!”

Finally, research studies reveal that the 46-Million Americans without comprehensive medical care get sick more, earn less and  and have a 40% higher rate of dying earlier than those with insurance and Comprehensive Medical Care. To see read about these research studies Click here for a SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR THE UNINSURED.

WHEREFORE, based upon all of the above, reasonable minds would conclude that said Members of Congress are Deliberately inflicting on this group of Veterans, Seniors and Disabled, conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part, and thereby, Violating United Nations Resolution 260 (III) A of the United Nations General Assembly on 9 December 1948 -CONVENTION ON THE PREVENTION AND PUNISHMENT OF THE CRIME OF GENOCIDE - Adopted by Resolution 260 (III) A of the United Nations General Assembly on 9 December 1948. A portion of that Resolution is set forth below for your review.

After reading it in whole or in part, please feel free to use our comments section as to whether you believe Congress had Violated this Resolution and is perpetrating Genocide on Veterans, Seniors, and Disabled as described above.  All comments are welcome at all times whether they agree with what I have to say or not.

The Contracting Parties,

Having considered the declaration made by the General Assembly of the United Nations in its resolution 96 (I) dated 11 December 1946 that genocide is a crime under international law, contrary to the spirit and aims of the United Nations and condemned by the civilized world;

Recognizing that at all periods of history genocide has inflicted great losses on humanity; and

Being convinced that, in order to liberate mankind from such an odious scourge, international co-operation is required;

Hereby agree as hereinafter provided.

Article 1. The Contracting Parties confirm that genocide, whether committed in time of peace or in time of war, is a crime under international law which they undertake to prevent and to punish.

Art. 2. In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;

(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;

(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.

Art. 3. The following acts shall be punishable:

(a) Genocide;

(b) Conspiracy to commit genocide;

(c) Direct and public incitement to commit genocide;

(e) Complicity in genocide.

Art. 4. Persons committing genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in Article 3 shall be punished, whether they are constitutionally responsible rulers, public officials or private individuals.

Art. 5. The Contracting Parties undertake to enact, in accordance with their respective Constitutions, the necessary legislation to give effect to the provisions of the present Convention and, in particular, to provide effective penalties for persons guilty of genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in Article 3.

Art. 6. Persons charged with genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in Article 3 shall be tried by a competent tribunal of the State in the territory of which the act was committed, or by such international penal tribunal as may have jurisdiction with respect to those Contracting Parties which shall have accepted its jurisdiction.

The Contracting Parties pledge themselves in such cases to grant extradition in accordance with their laws and treaties in force.

Art. 8. Any Contracting Party may call upon the competent organs of the United Nations to take such action under the Charter of the United Nations as they consider appropriate for the prevention and suppression of acts of genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in Article 3.

Art. 9. Disputes between the Contracting Parties relating to the interpretation, application or fulfilment of the present Convention, including those relating to the responsibility of a State for genocide or any of the other acts enumerated in Article 3, shall be submitted to the International Court of Justice at the request of any of the parties to the dispute.

Art. 10. The present Convention, of which the Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish texts are equally authentic, shall bear the date of 9 December 1948.

    I am not a lawyer, so I don’t know if this fits the legal definition of genocide, but practically speaking, it certainly does. What the so called cost cutters can’t seem to understand is that proper preventative care would cost much less than what we have now which is crisis care delivered in ERs, the most expensive of all health care.

  2. You can look at these statistics and mourn the loss of health coverages for the various groups, including soldiers current and past. However, these factors all take a back seat to the fact we live in the most imperialistic country on earth and we spend half of all total defense money spent in the whole world. This is a repulsive fact but too many people fail to mention this. In fact, too many people are braindead. The ultimate problem we have is somebody is making tons of money off war and the death and maiming of our soldiers and innocent people abroad. We are a disgusting and slimy nation, don’t listen to the right wing freakshow neocons, either. Somebody has decided that the US is ripe for exploitation, steal the money from working people. Instigate wars, demand exorbitant amounts of money, and wage war to the detriment of all mankind. Listen up, stupid people. YOU have to start fighting this country. Hate my letter but realize that YOU must start writing your own letters in protest. When I hear or read about the “hero’s welcome” a soldier gets coming back home, I retch. There are no heroes in our wars of exploitation. We steal natural resources, install our puppet governments, kill and maim millions of innocent people. We are a repulsive nation. As for those who say we must “have the best for our soldiers”, I say you are insane. Your first priority should be to stop the wars. We have nothing to be proud of. When you think war, think of the US. The wish of Obama’s masters is to drain us financially, take over other countries with our installed governments, and cause us to be subservient to them. We have a very, very evil president. He hates this country, he hates our military, he hates YOU. Yet, far too many of you zeroes still support this zombie.
    There will be nothing left for your children. Debt will pile up and suffocate them for their whole lives. Thank our banks, thank Timmy Geithner and other economists and bankers who have drained us dry.

    If you can’t get yourself to fight this corrupt group of vipers that are stealing from us, then just throw in the towel and enjoy your subservience.

    • As much as I want to ‘love’ and be proud of America, I can only agree with you 100 percent. I think Obama has put some kind of voodoo spell over Americans and the Democratic party for sure. If this is the best the Dems can do, we have already thrown in the towel.

  3. Don’t matter if genocide of Americans is against UN Resolution or not. The world will cheer and jeer as these events come to pass. The UN is not for American citizens. Even our politicians have proven time and again that they are not for American citizens. Nobody will come to help us. Draw your own conclusions. I am sad that the social engineering has been so egregiously effective that nobody can unite against these wrongs. Psy-ops have been perfected on us it seems.

  4. The VA refuses to replace the battery in my diabetic blood meter. They say I have to buy it on my own. I am 100% disabled and this is part of my medical care that is suppose to be covered by the VA. I had to wait and pay for health care for the 7 years and 4 months while they HELD UP my claim before approving it. I paid for all this 42 years ago in Nam, I am not paying for shit anymore. FUCK THE VA. I called my congressman yesterday and was told I was making a decision by not buying the battery. I told him the VA has made a decision not to provide me needed medical care. So much for how congress loves veterans.

  5. This is why Viet Nam veterans can’t get their claims addressed. VN vets die at the rate of about 400 per day. In less than five years the problem will be solved. The Nam vets will be dead. So what does the VA do? Drag out the claims, hoping the vets will die before their hearings come up. Been fighting the fight for over five years now. One year ago they sent back a standard denial saying, “you did not complain of having these cancers when you were in the service.” Went through the whole Notice of Disagreement thing; another year goes by. Last month got the EXACT same ridiculous letter, “You did not complain of having these cancers when you were in the service.”

    • Betty do you have a rep or are you trying to do this on your own get you a rep first.I know a lot of people tell you do not need one but you do.Do not use the department of veterans affairs as you rep you will say man do you think i,am crazy no i do not but i notice you never said anything about a rep.Did you rep go through the notice of disagreement or was it just you.Try this (THE MILITARY ORDER OF THE PURPLE HEART)(YOU DO NOT NEED A PURPLE HEART)for them to act as your rep.Call miss Lori J wilka at 501-370-3861 she is a national service officer for the purple heart.Here is her email address( lori.wilka@va.gov) ask about a rep in your area.
