Amy Goodman: Occupy Wall Street Protest Enters Second Week
Keith Olbermann: pointed out Wednesday night on Countdown that the major newspapers had been ignoring the five-day-long “Occupy Wall Street” protests, but would have scrambled to cover a similar-sized tea party protest.
“Why isn’t any major news outlet covering this?” he asked. “If that’s a tea party protest in front of Wall Street about Ben Bernanke putting stimulus funds into it, it’s the lead story on every network news cast. How is that disconnect possible in this country today with so many different outlets and so many different ways of transmitting news?”
His guest, author Will Bunch, suggested the disconnect was caused in part by the news networks being out of touch with the pain of the 25 million Americans who are unemployed.

Amy Goodman: It is day 10 of the “Occupy Wall Street” campaign. On Saturday, more than 80 protesters were arrested as hundreds took part in yet another march to Wall Street. Many of them were committing civil disobedience by walking in the street, but some say they were on the sidewalk when officers with the New York City Police Department used nets and physical force to break up the crowd. Videos uploaded to YouTube show officers pepper-spraying protesters in the face from close range, punching demonstrators and dragging people through the street. Since Sept. 17, thousands have gathered near in New York City’s financial district near Wall Street to decry corporate greed, many have said to have been inspired by other popular uprisings from Spain to the Arab Spring. On Sunday, protesters issued a communique calling for the resignation of the NYPD Commissioner Raymond Kelly, and for a dialogue with Mayor Michael Bloomberg. It is funny, (not ha ha, but scheesch) how not even the alternative media will spit out the horrid truth, which is: the oligarchs are getting rightly terrified of what their greed and corruption hath wrought; they dare not let go or abandon the speeding train lest they be broken in the tumble.
Whatever. I wouldn’t take a plugged nickle from either of those media gatekeepers. They’ve just planted themselves at the edges to make sure no serious information about the banksters leaks out. And also to prepare the way for the Democratic Party to hijack the 99% movement the way the Repugs hijacked the Teaparty.
It’s the same reason they don’t cover the 9/11 truth movement. On 9/11/07 we had a huge protest on wall street and there was no news coverage. Just Youtube 9/11 Truth New York City 2007 and you find the protest. The ‘Powers That Were” as I like to call them, are going to see change in this country in the very near future. The lies, treason, agressive wars, and the greed will be disclosed.

You know what is really bothering the majority of us, the bullshit of our crook politicians, government and corrupted news media that broadcasting how Ghadaffi’s and Assad’s police used brutality forces against the Egyptian, Libyan, Bahrain and Syrian protesters . Obama and Hillary Clinton asked the four dictators to stop the use of forces and let the protesters practice their freedom! We asking Obama and his partner Hillary why you are silent when you see your police brutality and using illegal forces against the American protesters in NYC?
I’ve been particularly impressed with Olbermann and Goodman’s excellent and unequivocal fact finding about what happened on September 11th, 2001, too! I mean, these guys are second to none in pointing out the mossad involvement and the obvious lies told by the administration ten years ago, that now they are certainly going to be trusted scholars and honest brokers with the stuff going on in NYC now. I just know they were going to do the same thorough reporting on the OCCUPY WALL STREET as they did on 9/11. I think that they could get Noam Chomsky and Ben Stein to help out with the reporting too!!

when these two shills for ISRAEL can talk truth about 9/11, I might listen to them about OCCUPY WALL STREET maybe, but not one second before that moment. Jeff Immelt would be so proud of his boy there, reporting on the wrongdoing by the very scum and villainy (G.E.) that have been major beneficiaries of not only war profiteering but of convincing O’bumbler that shipping jobs off to CHINA as Immelt is doing at G.E., is a good thing for America. Why not one word out of Olbermann’s face over that shit??? why???
We have to remember to not allow our anger and resentment to overpower our compassionate non-violent action. Otherwise, our anger, revenge, resentment and contempt at the corrupt wealthy/politicians becomes as much a problem as the greed and insensitivity of those who we protest.
Sooner or later something very bad is going to happen. By that I mean the pigs will begin shooting the protesters and then it will be total war!

We all know where this is going to lead to. The protest is growing everywhere and the elite pigs are getting scared. This will lead to even worse violence in an attempt to shut down the protests.

What’s really amazing is that the budget for police would have been cut without these protests. Police budgets are always one of the first things cut when the decided to cut budgets. If it wasn’t WALL STREET that needed protecting, a lot of those officers would have been in the unemployment line. As for Los Angeles organizing, do you realize what a big country this is. Having an Arab Spring here would be almost impossible without the internet. Just to get people off their butts will still be a challenge. We’ve become complacent. It may take an act of God to get some people up to protest.

Read Gilad Atzmon’s book, the Wondering Who? and watch the documentary “The Inside Job” if you want to understand who is behind the massive fraud on Wall Street. The zionist will never stop, until the system collapses and America is broke. Ben Bernanke is doing all he can to feed the Wall Street machine with zero cost of capital to keep it going, at the expense of American saver and tax payer. AIPAC gets most of its funding from the people who are committing this great robbery. AIPAC in turn uses those funds to fund the election campaign of the favorite congress members/senators. Those politicians very well know where the money is coming from. They will never stop this robbery because it will cost them their election. This will go on until it all collapses and we are broke.
