NTC Releases Gaddafi Fighters Nutter Bloggers Said Massacred
Israel’s African Mercenaries Detained, “Activists” Refuse to Help – Claim Mercenaries, Thousands in Custody, “Never Existed”

On October 27, the “lunatic fringe press” claimed Gaddafi had retaken Tripoli and the NTC had fled to Italy. Prior to that, the same “tin foil hat” brigade blogged about the slaughter of all Gaddafi prisoners captured by the NTC.
Today, the NTC released pro-Gaddafi fighters from camps and jails across Libya, all accounted for, all unharmed during captivity.
The only remaining prisoners being held are the thousands from Mali, Niger and other areas of Africa, many of them reported as Boko Harum and Al Qaeda fighters, some from the same terror cells now believed to be hiding Saif Gaddafi, wanted for war crimes by the ICC.
These were the mercenaries reported by Israel’s newspaper Haaretz as being sent to aid Gaddafi’s genocide against Libya’s “Arab Spring” revolt.

“Lunatic Fringe bloggers,” like sports fans who can’t believe the home town team lost the game, are expected to start their rumors again.
With many bloggers now known to have been paid hundreds of thousands by Gaddafi with funds laundered through terror organizations in Lebanon, the stories go on, press releases, some from “neocon” Washington, others from Gaddafi associates in Tel Aviv, all spouting empty threats or imaginary rebellions by Gaddafi loyalists who never existed.
Fewer than 200 rebel civilians captured Gaddafi’s capitol of Tripoli against an army claimed to number 250,000, “ready to fight to the death.”
In 45 minutes, all but a couple of dozen had changed sides and Gaddafi fled to Sirte, according to prisoners released today, offering new cars and thousands of dollars to anyone who would follow him.
As this last rumor is debunked, it is unlikely to have any effect on the Gaddafi loyalists of the blogger world, the armchair brigade of conspiracy theorists, cranks and those actually being paid to lie.
Good luck with this story, tantrums and tears expected as usual. With thousands of NATO victims showing up “alive and well,” the whiners of the blogosphere will have to wait for their new email commands.

A point and a question. The point – it took more than 200 to take Tripoli, “brigades” came from all directions in a coordinated blitz, some were even landed by sea, plus some rose up internally. So all up it’s more like a few thousand, but still it was very quick and effective for the numbers.
The question – if Gaddafi was so supported by Israel (and I’m not denying he was to some extent), then what were pro-Israel guys like Sarkozy-BHL and Cameron-Fox doing leading the charge to topple him? Something doesn’t add up. I for one can’t figure it out.
Good question Steve. Sarkozy Cameron and Obama are Israeli puppets. Israel enjoys playing both sides. My guess is Israel and the international banksters decided it was time for Gaddafi to go and told NATO/France to take him out and not laugh when they announced to the world this was simply a no-fly zone escapade to protect citizens.
Have you read the recent news that the current governor of the Libyan central bank stated the Libyan banking system needs a complete overhaul which will be guided by the International monetary fund and the World Bank? While Gaddafi was the leader Libya had a government owned central bank, the International monetary fund, the World bank, the international banksters and others didn’t like that.
It’s hilarious, the banking reform can happen fairly quickly because according to a Reuters article the governor of the Libyan central bank stated the groundwork had already been laid by IMF and World Bank over the previous 2-3 years. I thinks that’s very interesting and very suspicious. The banksters only needed the Arab Spring to come along to grab Libya’s central bank.
No I don’t get any money from Gaddafi.
I think Gordon and Jim have done a good job showing that Gaddafi wasn’t the big time benevolent dictator as suggested by some in the progressive media and that he paid people to write positive articles about him, however I simply disagree with them about the true NATO/France motives for attacking Gaddafi. There were other factors besides the central bank but I’m not going to mention them.
I think you’re right on, here. There’s no question that Gaddafi was sleeping with the Israelis but that’s no reason to believe they wouldn’t turn on him or that NATO didn’t have an agenda far different from helping out some good ol’ homeboy “freedom fighters.”
I’m just checking to see if I can make a post.
Thanks for the reply, although I am not much the wiser, there is a definite contradiction on this that doesn’t figure so far. I agree VT has been a useful antidote to a lot of the loony toon pro-Gaddafi stuff, but as yet some big questions remain unanswered. It will be interesting to see what emerges, although it may get lost in the fog of the next war, with a lot else, before long, if the big one goes off, the one that “real men” will be keeping their asses well out of while the real men are doing the fighting, and dying.
Finally, Limbaugh is free to “love Gaddafi” as he always meant to.

Here we go again. I guess you guys don’t learn. 1. What source told you the NTC fled Italy and Gaddafi took Tripoli back? This is my first time hearing that. 2. The 2nd Video was of Gaddafi Soldiers( Black Libyans who were fighting). Oh that’s right VT only shows Arabs as Libyans. The man in the video is speaking Arabic, not French. BBC News has a 1 Min and 55 sec news story that doesn’t mention much but for some reason VT goes by as proof of something. Plus we need real interpreters to the dialect that man said in the video and not some woman saying what you wanna hear.

Brer King, You can google to find the loon reports on ‘retaking Libya’. We have other stuff to do. They send us this stuff all the time thinking we might slit our wrists or something.
Go back and read. It says “regulars, irregulars, and mercs all mixed in together”, which is how they always fight. Your doing the usually misrepresenting what we said so you have an issue. Most of our readers are not too lazy to go back up and read the piece.
We have people here who have worked all over Africa, have met Gaddafi, know the family, all the tribes stuff, UN people doing all kinds of refugee work. Ah….we don’t have to make stuff up. We just call people we know who were there, or are there.
The Haaretz story that the Israeli ‘security company’ had been hired to bring them in is in their archives. Knock yourself out. But no rush. It will still be there next week.
And like we have been saying over and over…the Libyans own the story now. They will be having trials for these folks as the let all the regular Gaddafi people do and are still holding the mercs. A lot of them got killed in Sirte as getting caught with a foreign passport is always a very bad situation to me in.

Gordon, why is this such a passionate issue for you? And Jim Dean? And half of the VT staff? There is certainly a division. Your and Jim’s cynical retorts to any disagreement is compelling, to say the least. I still cannot wrap my head around how you (and Jim) could support these NATO bombing missions, killing so many thousands of innocents (and this is certainly a fact) to rid this African country of it’s supposed tyrant. It is simply inconsistent with your (and Jim’s) views regarding innocent life in other posts you’ve made, Irregardless of your feelings about Gaddafi, Murdering (yes, murder) 50-70 thousand innocents to remove a tyrant in a land that you have no business in in the first place, is still… murder. If you know this or not, I am our Libya expert. Nothing those supporting Gaddafi believe is true. Libyan people rose against him, threw him out and NATO prevented a slaughter.

Whoever the interim PM is, that was a process of the New Libyans, and he is only interim. What difference does it make about his oil contacts. That is a done deal They sold 95% of their oil to Europe and probably will continue.
The gas pipeline under the Mediterranean to Italy, I do now suspect they are going to reposition that to the U.S. So that is a straw dog faux argument.

Saif had several trips to Israeli during the war…with multi-day stays. And we tracked him laundering funds through Lebanon aid orgs, and on to some of the Alt media folks.
We also broke the story of the Israelis running Gaddafi’s communications intercept operation. The media video tour of the facility had it all on video…a gift from the Gods. Really hard to believe they did not firebomb these places as they moved out.
