Getting America Out of War: Imran Khan Interviewed by Sir David Frost

VT Contributor, Likely Next Prime Minister of Pakistan

By Gordon Duff, Senior Editor

VT contributor and good friend, Imran Khan sets an agenda for peace in Afghanistan and Pakistan, confronts corruption and outlines a new more equal relationship with the United States.

If you listen carefully, Imran Khan will tell American and, in particular, his British audience in this Al Jazeera special, exactly how to end the war in Afghanistan.  On the “Pakistan side of the border,” in what is called “the tribal areas” Khan says the war can be ended, not in 2 years, not 11 years but 30 days.

To end the war, you end the Jihad.  To end “Jihad,” you have to understand what a Jihad is.  Go back and listen again, he will put it in plain language.  It is amusing, watching the “paid press” try to picture Khan as anti-American and extremist.  What is extreme is honesty, something rare.

His personal history?  He has learned lessons through political failure.  He has trusted the wrong people at times.  He has given of himself to others as though he were the antithesis of Newt Gingrich.  He is good company.

When I look at Khan as the antithesis of Gingrich and I look at President Obama’s failure to properly address the serious threats to American rights written into recent legislation, we are discussing, of course, the National Defense Authorization Act which virtually declares a permanent state of martial law, I find myself drawing a favorable comparison, one supporting Khan against President Obama.

I believe Obama, unlike Gingrich, may have a subtle intellect but, increasingly, Obama has failed to adequately explain his actions, those that run directly contrary to his stated values.  Pakistan is now demanding a real government.  It is time Afghanistan does the same.  It is time Israel does the same.

America?

Perhaps it is time we ask ourselves why we don’t have an equivalent to Imran Khan running for president here in the United States.  When I told him this, he laughed.  I wasn’t laughing.

  1. Wonderful interview with Khan.

  2. Imran Khan is an honest politician. I fear for his life.

  3. I agree. But the farther he rises in the polls the safer he is as whacking him could turn the country upside down. Of course the biggest danger is to have a ‘militant patsy’ do it. He is vulnerable to that for his being ‘too Western’.

What I find more interesting is the almost no coverage of him in the American press, but that said, there has always been little.

    • The “press” doesn’t want the USA folks to hear that there might actually be another path and they surely don’t want to mention that the current path is to a New World Order, quite possibly after a Nuclear War (which is one of the plans along with the fake Alien Invasion being plan B)

      • The reason we have the US lead war in Pakistan and Afghanistan is because both countries are looking at joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. India is also looking to be a member and Iran has the same legal relationship with all of the members to make it a member.

The US is not a member of the SCO and it is not likely to be made a member any time in the future – hence we have wars with the US installing puppets as heads of governments and building lots of military bases.

The wars are about American imperialism and power.

    • Imran Khan sounds good… good for Pakistan… good for America… and good for the world. I still do fear for his life,. and have little faith that he will succeed or live to see his day in the sun.

Insallah that it might be otherwise, but the daggers are many, and the odds are slim.

This guy is real… opposition, not competition… and they simply cannot afford to let him run loose much longer.

Even as I write this, I wonder whether he will be still alive when it reaches you.

Zardari is pretty safe whereever he is right now. He is Israel’s man. No one is going to harm him.

  4. Yes, anybody who is against the path to a New World Order is in danger of being killed.

You mentioned, “Obama, unlike Gingrich, may have a subtle intellect “, Yeah, the difference is that Newt has been duped to doing certain things that he doesn’t know are for a New World Order and that O’Bummer is a New World Order totally planed as his “end game”.

  5. Imran Khan, a true intellectual with an unblemished view and plan that could actually work. Not exactly what THEY are looking for in a prime minister in such a critical and strategic part of the middle East conflagration. I share previous opinions about concerns for his “lifespan”. Hope for the best, and hope Khan is/has planned for the worse. The fact that such statements even have reason to be stated is another glaring confirmation of the pathetic state of global affairs that are poised to “kick our collective asses”.

While inclined to say “time is short”, it appears to ME that time has basically runout. What will be is about to be. Timeline:……shorter by the day.

  6. Khan makes more sense than any politician I’ve listened to for the last 40+ years. A word of caution though, don’t expect the US to thank you for helping them exit Afghanistan – who said the US wants to leave?

Hopefully he gets a chance to give direction to Pakistan.

  7. “I agree with Debbie on the threat that any contrary opinion to any current feckless US policy must be seen as a problem. How does the US get rid of problems? They contact the Mossad and the CIA, both seemingly their answer to all things and eliminate any problem.

So it could well be with Imran, not added to that would be a history of assassinations in Pakistan itself. Life is cheap there.

But for a quick fix, a continuing effort at destabilization, I would pick the Mossad / CIA team. They are The Presidents Men, doing his bidding, always. Obama’s private army. No morals, no conscience. Just what you need for a job like this”

  8. What kept occurring to me, as I watched the interview, was just how much of what Mr. Khan said applied to US. I found myself blinking when he spoke of paralysis, lack of will, and decay, wondering if indeed there was the hand of the same evil in Pakistan, that has passed across our land.

His incisive analysis of the Pashtun people, the cause of Jihad, and its solution, assure us all that he will never be allowed to appear in the US mainstream media, and speak candidly. In just a few sentences, Mr. Khan has completely humanized the issue, and reduced the flaming lie of the War On Terror to the absurd homily it truly is. His words are full of respect for the people, and their warrior tradition, while illustrating with remarkable clarity a real solution.

Of course, as has been raised here, the big question is whether or not the military industrial zionist bankers have any wish for a solution. If, as is likely, the answer is no, then the ascendency of Mr. Khan could further push Pakistan away from the west.

Keeping in mind western policy to destabilize and humiliate Pakistan, Mr. Khan might not be the threat so many believe. His moves against corruption expose the Pakistani political class as hopelessly compromised, and may thus work to further embarrass and fracture Pakistan.

Just as the weight of financial debt is a way to make an honest man a slave, so too could the ethical struggle against corruption serve the hand of evil.

What is particularly clear is that Pakistan, and not the west, holds the real cards in the region. The obvious isolation of the US force occupying Afghanistan. A lack of an escape route, weakened by long term resupply issues, which will include shortages of fuel, and ammunition does not bode well. The longer this continues, the better the odds for an effective indigenous offensive.

I know little to nothing of China’s arms industry, yet it seems plausible that China could keep the Pashtun Warriors awash in ammunition and light to medium weapons, if they so desired.
The policies used in Pakistan have been either insane, or sketched out by a suicidal idiot. Unfortunately for us, and those of us with people there, the suicide pact will be born out by those boots on the ground.
Ultimately, the fate of our troops may well rest in the hands of the Pakistani P.M., who could well be Mr.Khan. We all had better pray real hard for his safety, and long, healthy life.

    • @ Mike “What kept occurring to me, as I watched the interview, was just how much of what Mr. Khan said applied to US. I found myself blinking when he spoke of paralysis, lack of will, and decay, wondering if indeed there was the hand of the same evil in Pakistan, that has passed across our land.”

Same thoughts crossed my mind too.

    • “I know little to nothing of China’s arms industry, yet it seems plausible that China could keep the Pashtun Warriors awash in ammunition and light to medium weapons, if they so desired.”

They could Mike, but the Chinese play ‘the long game’ and to do so would mean they would destabilize an ally (Pakistan). As well that would supply weapons to a muslim group very close to Xinjiang where the US has been stirring up trouble throught the ‘World Uyghur Congress’ whose headquarteres are in Washington DC. They receive funding from the NED, and meet with western heads of state.

More likely the Chinese will simply use their economic leverage in Afghanistan and Pakistan while supplying advanced weaponry to Pakistan.

  9. I’m still stuck on, “Obama has failed to adequately explain his actions, those that run directly contrary to his stated values.”

He’s going to put you in a dark prison is what I get from him. Perhaps he will tweet his fans whilst on the “Let them eat cake” Hawaiian vacation for the requisite answers?

  10. In reply to some comments here, no patriotic Pakistani or true Muslim would attempt to harm Imran, he is a national treasure and good Muslim, as well as an internationally respected sportsman (one of the greats) and philanthropist and an honest man. If anything is attempted it will be obvious from which murky corner it will have come. But he should have good security nevertheless, a double ring of trusted pros, and good advice/transport, apart from that provided by the state, and avoid situations that are overly dangerous, without the strictest precautions. And indicate a willingness to be reasonable without betraying his beliefs or the interests of the country.
May God watch over him and bless his good intentions with success! The world needs more men like him to lead the fight to clean up the festering cesspit of corruption that it is sinking into.

    • The West also should be glad to have Imran in charge, there is no more sensible honest or trustworthy man for the job, in the true senses of the words, to preside over a critical part of the world that threatens to blow up into a hell if things keep going as they are. Only mentally deficient and corrupt vicious psycho scum would seek to sabotage him as opposed to legitimate if misguided political opposition.
