Obama Rejoins ICC, US No Longer “Rogue” State

JUSTICE, AMERICA? DOES OBAMA REALLY MEAN IT?

American War Criminals Now Subject To Laws US Enforces on Others

… by Gordon Duff, Senior Editor

In a surprise move, President Obama signed an executive order rejoining the International Criminal Court, an organization established originally by the United State to enforce international law and punish war criminals.

The US left the court under Bush in order to protect those responsible for kidnapping, drug running and torture.

They may now be arrested, even if American office holders or members of the military or CIA, which, oddly enough, many of those responsible for such heinous crimes are.

Almost all facing prosecution are, curiously enough, members of the Republican Party and are trying to spin a return to freedom and justice as America giving up rights.  The only right sacrificed are the rights some of the 1% and key officials had to murder, rape, steal and run drugs.

They may now be arrested under the same laws that applied to Gaddafi, Saddam and other “war criminals” that America has seen fit to bring to justice.

A careful read of one of the trickiest documents I have ever seen limits arrests of US elected officials as long as they are in office.  Language protecting the military is less clear if not clear at all.

In doing so, Obama even puts himself at risk but the risk is far higher to Ashcroft, Gonzales, McCain, Lieberman, Bush (all), Cheney and a list of war criminals who may number in the thousands.

As to how far the ICC is willing to go is questionable.  The organization tends to arrest only those of dark skin or targets of American foreign policy.

Perhaps that will change with the Arab Spring and elections in Europe which has gotten rid of some and may  eventually remove nearly all the old leaders, most of whom are potential suspects in war crimes.

When we see Interpol put the cuffs on McCain and Lieberman and “perp walk” them out of the Senate, we will know we may get America back.

There is a large group of Pan African people and supporters going to the Hague on June 18, 2012 to protest the ICC indicting African small scale dictators and legimate democratic leaders and ignoring the major European and American killers like Bush, Sarcozy and Rove. Haiti, Ivory Coast, Honduran, Libyan and so many more regime changes were by corporate U.S./NATO forces, not indigenous. Please support: http://wechargegenocide.com.

  2. JS  May 7, 2012 at 6:40 am

This could be huge. People should not underestimate it.

    • JS  May 7, 2012 at 8:24 pm

G, if this is a stealth move, you’ve already spilled the beans. So maybe you could go further and give us the # of this secret Executive Order, as well as a few measly details to whet our appetites? If the US has truly rejoined the ICC, that could indeed be huge. Step 1 was the Dec. 2, 2009 arrival of a planeload of Interpol personnel in the US, but that was obviously not enough…

  3. Derek X  May 5, 2012 at 8:57 am

I guess that means we are still the bad guys. (sigh)

    • cyberstreets  May 7, 2012 at 5:26 pm

      Sigh, indeed.

Great spoof, Gordon. Obviously, you sucked us all in, including myself who thought you misread Obama’s latest executive order. See http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/05/01/executive-order-promoting-international-regulatory-cooperation and I was trying to alert you. 😉
Perhaps it was wishful thinking on your part as well as ours but as Debbie said ~ When it sounds too good to be true, it usually isn’t true.

    • Gordon Duff  May 5, 2012 at 8:31 am

      allen,

This was a stealth move protecting Obama himself and those around him. Reading it actually makes my head hurt. You need to be more than a slightly well trained lawyer to begin.
      g

    • grom  May 6, 2012 at 4:24 pm

Your another liar. All this crap from your mind, just for the monetary sake of your Blog.
In addition to the above statement, a person DOES NOT have to be ‘More than a slightly trained lawyer to begin”….In order to understand. Understanding NDAA doesnt require extreme legal comprehension skills either. A person just has to read and make notes. You’re a bullshitter, and I’m sick of people like you !!!!!!

    • grom  May 6, 2012 at 6:29 pm

Sorry about my lack of composure and hate. Please keep your information truthful especially in such delicate situations as written above. If you havent noticed, this issue is extremely important to persons searching for the truth about where the world is going, not to mention where the USA is headed. Now is not a good time to exploit that, just for your blog. Thank You. My apology’s again.

One of your readers reminded me that I fell out of practice when I didn’t read the actual text of the EO myself. The EO, Gordon, is to promote regulatory compliance in international trade (IP protection and whatnot). The big news story here is that either I am one awesome analyst (if predicting future events is any indication of potency) or members of the Obama administration actually read my prolific postings around the web about the big equalizer against the rising competitor economies and respective spheres: intellectual property regulation. There are 144 signatories to the Patent Cooperation Treaty and very few have enforcement apparatus for the laws in place to protect IP. For instance, in India, it can take you 10 years to adjudicate a minor copyright infringement to fruition — and by then, it’s past a reasonable commercial time for you to realize any value out of your litigation.

Then, we see who has the rights to ideas globally 😉 The countries with loose regulatory apparatuses can be easily painted as horrible trading partners for this reason alone.

  6. marceltjoeng  May 4, 2012 at 5:08 am

if this disappoints Gordon Duff or any of you, sorry

but if you look at the history of the ICC,
its instatement, its cases, how cases are handled,
and the selection of ‘perpetrators’ they go after

    plenty of window dressing,
and then a string a peculiar cases
the ICC is founded together with the UN,
the UN’s core membership was (and still is) Masonic & Luciferian

    google Lucifer Trust or
“Lucis Trust – The Spiritual Foundation of the United Nations”

and same goes for the ICC

  7. Allen L Roland  May 3, 2012 at 9:30 pm

Oops, Gordon. Better take another look at this. This latest Obama executive order is apparently another act of blatant treason and we the American people must look at its implications clearly.
Here is the Executive Order. Read and interpret it for yourself. http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2012/05/01/executive-order-promoting-international-regulatory-cooperation

  8. Chris  May 3, 2012 at 5:23 pm

Ive found no verification of this executive order. I will believe he signed it(and care) when I see Zakheim,Lowy,Hauer,Cheney,Bush,Rove,Rumsfeld,Perle,Feith,Silverstein etc. in handcuffs.

  9. Mike  May 3, 2012 at 3:43 pm

I think starting with Poppy Bush would make more sense. Before he goes to hell (if there is one).
I don’t understand your faith in Obama, maybe its a generational thing? My parents which are probably close to your age Mr D., seem to have the same faith or trust in him. To me his domestic and foreign policies are to the right of G W B. Isn’t he supposed to be a liberal democrat?

  10. Tom Valentine  May 3, 2012 at 1:15 pm

A copy of the order came to mailbox; long url, I will type it in, so good luck:
    http://fromthetrenchesworldreport.com/obama-signs-executive-order-declaring-international-law-for-the-united-states/14439
Can’t vouch for any of this, but sure looks like up to no good when you read the order verbiage

    • Trudy  May 3, 2012 at 3:09 pm

I don’t see anything about the ICC in this – in fact the opposite!

      (c) This order is not intended to, and does not, create any right or benefit, substantive or procedural, enforceable at law or in equity by any party against the United States, its departments, agencies, or entities, its officers, employees, or agents, or any other person.

      What are you smoking, Gordon?

    • The Rahnameh  May 4, 2012 at 8:52 am

Good catch. This order is actually for regulatory compliance in trade, not to give corridor to international criminal complaints.

  11. truthman  May 3, 2012 at 10:15 am

This is satire, right Duff? And I can’t believe that no one has commented on the Karl Rove photoshop job. That is my dream come true! Somebody pinch me!

  12. Gordon Duff  May 3, 2012 at 9:09 am

I am considering baking a cake with a file in it..just in case.

    Obama might need it.

    • The Rahnameh  May 3, 2012 at 9:32 am

Regardless of what anyone says, everything Obama has done has been within a constitutional scope within the realm of reason under the directorate of the Executive office as pronounced by the Constitution and SCOTUS stare decisis. In other words, prove to me that he actually committed treason, high crimes, felonies or misdemeanors beyond a reasonable doubt. You cannot. You cannot show me Al-Alwaki’s body. You can blame him for making an unfounded or unsupported statement in that regard. You can blame him for issuing useless Executive Orders that sound ominous. But until he actually invokes a circumvention of habeas corpus or other constitutionally protected/proffered principles, he cannot be blamed for a crime he has yet to commit.

The POTUS can one day declare in a speech he is the new fascist dictator of the world. This neither makes it so nor presents any rhyme or reason to merit an impeachment. Perhaps a vote of no confidence or recall, but that’s it.

    • cyberstreets  May 7, 2012 at 5:22 pm

So what if he “followed habeas corpus” — after Clinton eviscerated it. Just because its legal doesn’t make it right. Right now most people in prison are there for being black and poor, not because they committed any crimes more serious than their white counterparts. You can sell lots of deadly chemicals legally. Duh! Tell us an argument that’s worthy using some “1”s and “0”s on.

  13. WillieG51  May 3, 2012 at 5:22 am

My real problem with this story is Obama signing yet another “executive order” to accomplish something that is supposed to be done by Congress. . Congress is complicit in this and have allowed for many decades to allow the executive branch to usurp authority given to them in our Constitution. . However being the bought and paid for “tools” they are it’s no surprise. .

I consider this at best, nothing more than an election year, move. . to try and bring back some of those who have deserted the “messiah”. At it’s worst, I defer to Ann’s comment about the guillotine. .and the French Revolution. . “The saddest words of tongue are pen, are these four words, What might have been”!

  14. ethanallen  May 3, 2012 at 5:17 am

Well Mr. Duff since you’re now dealing in fiction this didn’t happen either:

Authors note: Language changes. Words in common use in 1941 may be quite offensive today.
    EXTRA EXTRA EXTRA
    JAP ATTACK SACKED
Three carriers sunk. Hundreds of aircraft destroyed. US casualties reported ‘light’

    Honolulu(AP,UPI)Dec.7, 4:37 pm
A massive attack by Japanese carrier-based aircraft on Pearl Harbor was successfully ambushed by combined Army and Naval forces.
Army, Navy and State Department all report that a highly placed source deep within the Japanese government warned them with precise detail of a planned sneak attack on Hawaii. As the Japanese aircraft attacked the nearly deserted Pearl Harbor and nearby Wheeler Field, US carrier-based aircraft attacked and sank the carriers. Those Japanese aircraft that managed to escape destruction by the well laid flak traps at Pearl and Wheeler had no place to recover and ditched at sea. There was no one to pick them up and it is believed most perished.
The battleships at Pearl slipped out of port throughout the night. The aircraft at Wheeler were replaced by cardboard cutouts that concealed anti-aircraft guns. At this moment the battleships are attacking and sinking the remnants of the Japanese attack force in what is expected to result in total destruction.
Admiral Kimmel said, “This is not 1904 and Pearl Harbor is not Port Arthur” in an obvious reference to the Japanese sneak attack on Port Arthur that signaled the beginning of the Russo-Japanese War.
General Short said, “Army pilots and gunners gave the Japs a day they’ll not soon forget.”
Residents of Pearl City said at the height of the attack the sky was black with flak and the smell of cordite from the anti-aircraft guns was overpowering. Now the smoke from burning Japanese aircraft blankets the city.
Margaret (Maggie) Mullaly, wife of First Sergeant Patrick Mullaly said, “My husband has been on maneuvers for the last few days. The children and I were getting ready to walk to church when we heard a terrible roar as airplanes passed over our house. Then we heard the guns and airplanes were falling all over Pearl City. We were terrified and hid under the beds. Fortunately our house wasn’t hit by a falling airplane but everyone wasn’t so lucky. A house at the end of the street was hit. I’m so proud of Patrick and his boys shooting down those damn Japs”
President Roosevelt is expected to hold a press conference in the next few hours.

  15. jackedup  May 3, 2012 at 5:14 am

GD, love ya but you’re dreaming on this one, hope I’m wrong. I also think you’re dreaming thinking there’s actually a difference between republicans and democrats….is Barry himself not a war criminal?

  16. Ann  May 3, 2012 at 4:54 am

Not buying it. Nothing of that magnitude would originate from Obama. He’s just another front anyway. That order came straight from the top. Maybe the organizers of 911 are starting to panic now that their mega hoax has been exposed and they want to clean up loose ends before the blabbering and finger-pointing starts. And if it does get put into action it should be interesting to see who doesn’t get named or picked up, like Larry the cockroach Silverstein who hasn’t been questioned about his very timely WTC insurance change. A car owner would not have been let off so lightly under the same circumstances.

Assuming they pull this off and eliminate their perceived enemies with Stalinish precision, who would be left to lord over us? You really think after all this time they would let us get on with the rebuilding of our hijacked nation? After 100 years of easy money and control of America’s armed forces? Who will we be stuck with this time? Name me one instance where parasites just decided to quit while they were ahead and pack it in and leave the host. If this is real then it means the parasites realize that the days of mass murder and easy money will end if they don’t act first in a series of surprise moves. These kooks will not go away just because things are getting tougher. They will get tougher still. And like all the other times they will pit one against the other.

And don’t be so sure it’s just the baddies, either. If they are really going to this much time and trouble then the term “enemy of the state” will be dusted off and used again. If you don’t know what that means look back at their previous genocides and see who got picked up. Look up a list of the guillotined in France and note the ages and ask yourself what they could have done. That was their first major victory and they have only grown worse from there. These creeps cannot manage, govern, fight, or produce. They can only control and kill.

If this order is true then it came from the same serial killers who have been tormenting the world for centuries and have us constantly pitted against one another on the basis of lies.

    • Gary Walker  May 3, 2012 at 7:34 am

      Ann,

I am curious why the insurance company paid Lucky Larry Silverstein, unless the money actually came from the US government? Why would they pay without a serious investigation?

      Peace be upon us,
      Infidel

    • Ann  May 3, 2012 at 9:03 am

Because they’re all in on it. Laws are for us not them.

    • Derek X  May 3, 2012 at 8:38 am

I’d have to agree with you and willie, Ann. People still seem to have that “hope” line hooked deeply into their cheeks. Maybe he’s just trying to make it appear he deserves that peace prize instead of a jail cell. Of course he’s not a bad guy, he signed this order! Proof of it right here!
I bought a load of shinola from him last time, and refused to beleive my nose when I took a whiff of it when I got home. Right now my shoes stink and I haven’t been walking in the park.
Maybe Duff is right about obama, and deep inside there is a soul waiting to shine instead manchurain producing electrodes. Or maybe he’s afraid of obama and doesn’t want to lose his day job since his job at VT came with a vow of poverty included.
We’ll see if this thing really has teeth, or if we are just being suckered a little bit more. My bet it’s just a lollipop, cause NDAA and the others are still there.

    • Debbie Menon  May 7, 2012 at 4:54 pm

I get fed up with Americans, especially those on the liberal Left who love to blame all their country’s ills on the conservative Right. It’s hard to listen to them ranting on about Cheney, Bush, Rumsfeld, McCain, Palin et al. without a mention of Perle, Wolfowitz, Wurmser, Feith, Libby, Kristol and the rest of the gang behind them. The same gang that’s behind their darling Obama. My biggest fear is that even if Americans lose everything, they still won’t figure out who was responsible. That’s where the so-called alternative media come in. Whether it’s the respectable alternative media like Democracy Now or the conspiratorial “Patriot” media like Alex Jones, they all divert Americans who are waking up from identifying the real culprits. Here’s a simple test: any media that refuses to promote Jeff Gates’ Guilt By Association is complicit in this Zionist crime syndicate. Think about it.

    • DaveE  May 3, 2012 at 9:23 am

You got a way with words, sister!

How can anyone with the IQ of a golf ball not be skeptical of Obama’s intentions? This was a guy who signed the NDAA, executive orders proclaiming the right to murder anyone he considers a “terrorist” and the right to confiscate anything and everything we own, in the name of a never ending “war on terror”, on and on.

Kinda like the Ten Commandments being included in the Torah just to keep up appearances. These people are masters of deception.

    • Gary Walker  May 3, 2012 at 5:34 pm

The ten commandments are a joke.

    • namastemperfi  May 3, 2012 at 11:26 am

Ann, I’m not saying you are wrong. I just hope you are. Can anyone guess who’s on first anymore? But, what if Gordon’s supposition that there was a Cabal authorized, Nuttinyahoo assassination plot for 0bama in place in Columbia last month is correct? What if the other rumors of threats of assassination for 0 and his family from the same guys who have handled him are also correct? What if there actually is a capable opposition to the agenda of these megalomaniacs? After all, I can only imagine a few thousand hardcore psycho targets being eliminated from power to completely put an end to this game. What if 0 finally realized he had better get new friends before the Zionists put him under? Just thinking out loud. 0ne can dream… N

    • DaveE  May 3, 2012 at 11:36 am

I’d like to hope you’re right, but “hope” is for fools. The reality of Obama’s actions speak clearly for who (or what) he is.

    • namastemperfi  May 3, 2012 at 12:06 pm

Dave, I am no fan of 0bama, quite the contrary, and what I suggest is that fear may have forced him into a new direction. And if you cannot hope that billions of people can in some fashion take actions that put a few thousand in prison rather than suffer genocide, then you have nothing. N

    • beausoleil  May 3, 2012 at 1:16 pm

namastemperfi: Not just hope, but CERTAINTY that a few billion people can locate and arrest a few thousad perps. The ‘fema’ prisons are empty, ready and waiting with trained staff. I like your comment. I believe that the paid trolls, and those who are influenced by them, are spreading messages of hopelessness. If it were ascertained that the majority of people on earth have full belief, certainty, and conviction that the perpetrators will see justice, then wouldn’t that just just strike fear into the hearts of these criminals? So much of this is a belief game.

  17. Al  May 3, 2012 at 4:11 am

This is the result of a philosophy of becoming a monster to kill a monster, the end justifies the means mentality. We have to draw lines between the good guys and the bad guys, and reject the relativism so prevelant today. When one perpetrates evil in the game of destroying evil, then one becomes evil. If the bad guys state, that they have the right to execute anyone they seem fit to kill, simply by the say so of one man (no judge, no jury, no process of checks and balances), then it should be seen as bad, even if the bad guy states, that “they” are the good guys. In the final analysis, everything is subject to the judgement of history, or if one is permited in these days to state: where gods have been destroyed, and states and groups of states have been elevated to the status of gods, all things are subjected to the judgement of Higher authorities, as I would believe. Men will always be men, incapable of being supreme authorities, for we have historically proven, that when given power, this power will not be relinquished willingly by the cabals of men who possess it. Therefore, any mortal power not subjected to scrutiny, ultimately succumbs to its own evil ends, either that, from the very people whom they have abused and lorded over.

    • pablo  May 7, 2012 at 10:46 am

But there is a fundamental error – see man (Homo sapiens sp) is not an authority – there are no higher authorities as man is not an authority nor authorised – he is a plant here on earth, an experiment a part of an ongoing big universal plan. The only authority on earth is nature. Man cannot even get to agree rationalities and better systems to cohabit but persist in violence, corruption and blatant criminality which is what is prevalent in the current sphere of time. This story is too long and never ending…it is the perpetuatio9n of arrogance and ignorance – there are somany fundamental errors and refusals to see the light that the darkness forever pervades…all is relative and relative is all that happens accorduing to the scum that get to hold the whip.

So man is not an authority and never will be – just criminal, perverse and perpetually violent. Read the writing on the wall – peace is just an illusion, they are getting butchered elsewhere and politics is the art of lying.

  18. The Rahnameh  May 3, 2012 at 4:09 am

Hopefully, this will not end up being a case of the US rejoining to use it as a forum to advance NATO agendas re: Bashar Assad.

I was pleased that you pointed to McCain and Lieberman. It’s so hard to choose WHO to arrest, although these two are on the top of the list.

But one major point: there aren’t punishments great and nuanced enough to reclaim justice. The importance of overcoming apathy and indifference is greater today than ever before as we continue our momentum in the age of unaccountability.

Funny how evil always LOOKS evil, huh Debbie? They say not to judge a book by its cover, but heck, all these Stephen King novels look scary on the outside for a reason. This is a great start and I agree, but my point was I wouldn’t know WHO to start with — they’re all damned.

Well also, war on humanity does not always take the form of the gun. In other words, I would extend this list to those have contributed to the undoing of America’s fabric and are in bed with this plot that goes beyond simply starting wars. This includes, but is not limited to, Bernanke, Geithner, Greenspan, Jon Kyl, Paul Ryan, John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Chuck Schumer, Giuliani, Richard Haas, Chaim Saban, John Bolton, Cheney, Bush, etc. etc. etc. etc. How about AIPAC membership list, period? So many to choose from, but not enough punishment to mat out for proper recovery.

    Quite interesting.

    What is the motive?

Either another move to “legitimately” remove more of “those of dark skin or targets of American foreign policy” from the 3D chess board, or something else afoot.

    One can but hope.

    Bravo

Clemency perhaps? Maybe he was offered a deal. Treason charges are not fun!

  21. The Rahnameh  May 4, 2012 at 8:48 am

No, I am just knowledgeable of how the law and our Constitution works, American history, and various other intricacies that give me a good impression that this POTUS is walking a perfect fine line, and definitely more modestly than others before him. It’s simply the reality without spin.

Now, whether or not that makes me Axelrod’s twin or suddenly a supporter of the establishment (I believe there is no difference between even Ron Paul and Obama), then oh well.
