Tonite, the HBO series Newsroom did a whining and utterly fictional story about the death of Osama bin Laden. For those of us of the intelligence community, bin Laden was a top CIA asset who died of kidney disease in 2001 after having consistently denied involvement in 9/11.
He said the US government and the Israelis did it.
Years of investigation has proven this beyond any doubt with thousands of pages of testimony, engineering studies and years of many of us tracking down the real killers.
Here is one of the worst moments of fictional TV journalism:
Our deepest sorrow and condolences go out to the US Navy personnel and any others who gave their lives to stage this political farce.
These include those who died in the crash at Abbottabad or were killed later in what was described as the least credible helicopter crash in history, 38 SEALS in a National Guard chopper than could barely hold 12.

Regarding the differences between Obama and Bush. I don’t see many. Bush wiretapping, renditions, unconstitutional military attacks, assassinations have not only continued under Obama but actually increased. The drone attacks in Pakistan actually increased under Obama. TARP funds that Bush and his Goldman Sach croney Treasurey Sec came up with to bail out the big banks was supported by Obama…also McCain. The North American Union continues in the cover of darkness, planning the security perimeter, cross border projects with military/police pilot projects. If you haven’t familiarized yourself with Quigleys “Tragedy and Hope” key points, then you should. Obama, like Bush and their predecessors continue to move the US in the direction of the one world government.

Up until 2007 I believed what I was being told by our news. I didn’t even think to question it. After a debate with someone who refused to believe the official story, he challenged me to take the time, look at the facts, piece by piece and then with a straight face tell him I still believed.
After taking the time and researching, there was absolutely no way I could look at the evidence objectively, and come to any conclusion other than the official story was a lie and something else, somebody else was responsible.
I’ve managed to convert a few people over to creative independently thinking, however, most people roll their eyes in disbelief or just laugh at the possibilty.
The theories are everywhere as to what happened. I saw the talks with Dimitri, and the digital manipulation theory regarding planes…nuclear devices below the towers, the nano thermite allegedly found by other scientists(Danish?). Planes being shot down, planes landing in Ohio (very creepy). So many theories, possibilities, the roles the Bush admin played along with foreign actors such as Israel, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, Britain.
The truth is, I’m not quite sure what happened, and that no doubt being the objective of those responsible…confuse, throw out disinformation. Some things though, stand out. Decrying the American public because they are ignorant omits to answer the real question. That is, are people ignorant because they have vanishing IQ’s or because those trying to “educate” them are lousy teachers? As I look around the media scene, I see dominance by MSM, I see that they are organized and functional. Arguably, people want escape from their ashen lives and they do things to get away from the humdrum misery that breeds disinterest. Specialists in propaganda like Bernays and Goebbels made critical observations about people and then extruded plans of action to subvert the normal thought processes of citizens. They knew they had to have advanced knowledge about human nature before they could succeed.
As such, I don’t think we are talking about some insoluble problem here in understanding human nature. Hasbara is everywhere, it’s been built up for generations, we fall for it as it becomes of our flesh and minds. Habits are hard to break. If we are to succeed, it’s obvious the teachers have to be as good as the purveyors of deceit. Do we have the means to educate the flock of unwashed? How would we do this, how do we gain the bully pulpit. It seems like we have been more capable at digging for answers than we have been for dissemination of truth to a wide range of people. The extant mentality among those who ferret out these answers is one of puffing up feathers at these new truths while forgetting or never knowing how to gain mass understanding and acceptance. This is what we suffer from, a rather myopic vision that thinks truth by itself will be sufficient to change the world. If you can introduce just a little bit of critical thinking into the populace, that is incredibly powerful. For the first few episodes it came close. It soon became apparent that they were re-telling the last two years’ news in order to “straighten out” a few inconvenient facts.
Now it’s off my list.
