Jewish Global News: Adelson Prostitution Link Faces Lawsuit Silencing

Sheldon Adelson sues Jewish Democratic group

WASHINGTON (JTA) — Sheldon Adelson is suing the National Jewish Democratic Council for defamation.
Lawyers for Adelson, the casino magnate and major Republican donor, had sent a warning letter to the NJDC and to the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee last week after each body publicly stated that Adelson had approved of prostitution at his properties in Macau, China. That allegation appeared in a lawsuit file by a former Adelson employee, Steven Jacobs, who had managed Adelson’s Macau business until being fired in 2010.
The DCCC apologized last week for referencing the allegation in press releases sent June 22 and July 2 that called on Republicans not to take Adelson’s money. But NJDC has refused to excise the allegation from an online petition calling on Republicans to stop accepting money from Adelson.
Adelson filed the defamation lawsuit this week; the NJDC shared news of the lawsuit in a statement sent to reporters.
“Referencing mainstream press accounts examining the conduct of a public figure and his business ventures — as we did — is wholly appropriate,” NJDC said in a statement. “Indeed, it is both an American and a Jewish obligation to ask hard questions of powerful individuals like Mr. Adelson, just as it is incumbent upon us to praise his wonderful philanthropic endeavors.”
The statement called Adelson’s lawsuit a “strategic lawsuit against public participation,” or SLAPP, a term used for legal maneuvers aimed not at obtaining justice but silence.
“We know that we were well within our rights, and we will defend ourselves against this SLAPP suit as far and as long as necessary,” NJDC said. “We simply will not be bullied, and we will not be silenced.”
Adelson’s publicist, Ron Reese, had no immediate comment.

“When religion ruled the world, they called it the Dark Ages.” Are we on Mr. Peabody’s way back machine. It seems to me that religion is the only explanation for the idea that god’s chosen nation, Israel, and god’s other chosen nation, the US, are hell bent on blowing up nuclear power plants in Iran, a nation that hasn’t threatened anyone. Unfortunatly, there are as well a lot of neanderhals still with us today. Just because we are living in the 21st century, does not mean that we are all enlightened. I am afraid that the knuckel dragging hominades will be on the bus for some time. The question is are we willing to allow them to crash the bus.

What happens when electricity dies and no one has any more fancy lighter-who is going to know how to make fire?
Further, what of the modern people who follow their gps devices into situations they are incapable of extraditing themselves from, and who call 911 to rescue their unthinking animal hides? Will technology continue to save them, so they can reproduce and create more mutants?
Technology is a certain form of magic, and currently, it is allowing the incapable to put themselves into situation they have no business getting into. BTW, it is a very simple technology to use flint and steel to ignite your powder charge and send your projectile downrange. Needs very little support in the way of organized society. It may well be something we should not let die. Remember, the Hawken muzzle loaders were deadly out to 200 yards, and more. Can you shoot out to 200 yards?
ABC news reported recently that the casino company owned by American billionaire Sheldon Adelson, a close ally of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has been under federal investigation for the last year for alleged bribery of foreign officials.
Do you thing the National Jewish Democratic Council is a front group for anti-semites….like for hiding in plain sight ???
