Women in Combat. The Pentagon and the news media act as if this is a brand new concept. It is not. Women have served in combat in various forms from Molly Pitcher to General Dunwoody. Molly Pitcher filled in for her husband when he was wounded. Pitcher was reported to be pregnant at the time. Was Molly Pitcher a real person or a combination of several women who took their male partner’s (husband, father, brother, uncle, etc) place? Others know better than I.
Molly was not alone in serving her country, Deborah Samson volunteered to serve during the Revolutionary war. However, she dressed as a man and called herself, Robert Shirtliffe. She was wounded twice. And then she came down with brain fever. Doctor Binney, of Philadelphia, discovered her secret and sent her to his home for better treatment. When Samson had recovered, Binney spoke to her Commanding Officer and her secret was revealed. Soon Robert Shirtliffe was ordered to present a letter to General George Washington at headquarters in Washington. After pleasantries were exchanged, Ms. Samson received her letter of discharge, words of advice, and money for her voyage home.
Ms. Samson married Benjamin Gannett and had 3 children. Sometime later Ms. Gannett or Shirtliffe received a letter from General Washington asking Mr. Shirtliffe to come to Washington. During her stay a bill was passed awarding her a pension and some lands. The most important part of this trip was to tell her that she had been acknowledged as a soldier of the American Revolutionary War.
I can give more examples of women in combat, but a quick Google search will reveal up to
499 million hits and give you all the history lessons you may want or need. But the question is not about “are women able to be in combat?” or “are women physically able to do such rigorous jobs?” The lesson is society ready for this? Society has seen wounded female soldiers come home. Society has seen females in body bags. Even the Native Americans are acknowledging the women with the warrior feather. Can humanity handle a world in which women are considered an equal?
If it does, how does that impact domestic violence claims or equal pay for equal work claims and even the Equal Rights Amendment? Let’s not forget the abortion question. This could very well end the question of can a woman decide what she wants to do with HER body?

This whole issue is a “non issue”. Mr. Obama is merely moving forwward with his committment to “… fundamentaly change America”! Remember?
Mr. Obama, America’s letfist intellegensia, the left-wing media are merely destroying America as it has existed. This is one more example of the destruction of an armed force that can not maitain its equipment, provide for logistics support and has much of its funcitional operations controlled by civilians.
Those of us who live in remote areas of America a fortunate. Most of you live in large metroplitan areas where the steady rush towards the destruction of our society will hit first. Gee “are boys and girls different”? What an absurd way to run an army.

Some good comments here, and some dumb ones. First of all, men and women both are inherently peace makers and nurturers until, the family, the church, the schools, ignorant coaches in sports, military drill sgts., the media, and our culture in general brainwashes us about who we are as men and women. I am not talking about physical differences and strength. And why in the hell, especially at this point in the military/industrial/political/media corrupted complex would a woman want to be put into kill or be killed? There are enough of us Vietnam, Iraq, and Afganistan combat vets with major moral wounds trying to live amongst this relatively insane culture. Many women were really there for us when we came home, mother, sisters, wives, female friends. So now corrupted DOD wants them to be as messed up as the rest of us so we can all be more easily brainwashed and controled to do their dirty work. Women of the World wake up. Our place and your place is not to kill or be killed on orders from intelligent Sociopaths but we are here to generate peace. There can be a military but at this point I have no trust of the top dogs in DOD and in the enlisted soldiers ability to say no. I agree with some other post regarding that women being in our military in this age and time is a degradation of the civiliztion and the family. The family has taken enough hits in the last 50 years. These DOD immoral sociopaths have been sending ignorant young women with no husbands and with babies into the war zone and threatening them with courtmartial or discharge if they cant or wont find someone to take care of their babies. And the Congess and President have allowed this. It all most looks like they want a completely militarized culture. Refuse this insanity. I would rather bag groceries or work at Burger King then take the DODs $50.000 grand a year.

What woman wants to prove her equality with a man by being EQUALLY shot at, EQUALLY blown apart, EQUALLY killed and EQUALLY degraded in the field of battle? I can answer that! AN IDIOT! This is just a another example of our “LEADERS” fermenting the destruction of Western Civilization. If our leaders want do something to uphold Western Civilization pass a law for Hillary to clean the Oval Office!
Ok, let me ask you- who pushed this crap? THE JEWS DID against the advise of practically every single officer in the military.
FACT ONE- Women are NOT equal to Men and Men ARE NOT equal to Women. We both have areas of superiority and inferiority, one to another. Physicality is a MANS domaine where only approximately 3 out of every 100 Women can compete at the same level of an average man.
The Navy did a study of Women serving in their branch. They determined that instead of two men needed to carry a stretcher with a wounded soldier, we now have to plan for 4 people because it takes 4 WOMEN to do the lifting work of 2 MEN.
THINK for God’s sake. Should women be in fox holes with men? I couldn’t think of a better way to F-CK things up. Sheesh, you have 18 year old boys with hormones raging with Women in combat zones? Their FIRST instinct will be to protect the WOMEN and not the mission or the betterment of the whole around them.
You want more RAPES? That is what is going to happen now because whether you want to admit it or not, combat is hell and the worst of peoples bare instincts come to the forefront under intense, constant pressure. All psychological evaluations have shown this is the case. Dehumanization, which is at the CORE of military programming, is what happens to soldiers under constant pressure. With this comes a total destruction of all morals in the majority of cases during these time periods and sometimes even after these events are over. You want to subject our women to this because they have been BRAINWASHED by the Jewish Media and Education systems into believing they are “perseucted” by men and hence have to get even with him to be “equal”? They will NEVER, REPEAT, NEVER be equal to us, nor us with them in the areas either one has superiority.
All this crap is Marxist Frankfort School, Jewish programming designed to break down our military from within. For God’s sake, is there even ONE FREAKING PLACE LEFT IN AMERICA where men can be men without having to deal with the PC bullcrap you know will be enforced on the front lines now?
I am ex infantry, 11C and I tell you what, if I had to serve with women, there would have been MAJOR resentment because you know damn well they would never perform up to par and would thusly be the object of both pity, scorn and favoritism because her not being able to perform up to par would PUT ALL OF OUR LIVES IN DANGER,What is a man suppose to do?
KNOW THIS! The time will come for the Esau/Ashkenaz fake Jews who say they are Israel and Judah and do lie to PAY the piper for all the hell they have created in the West and the world to boot. If I was a “Jew” I would be praying to the white man Christian God now to spare me, because when they will fall into the hands of this angry God (and mark these words, it WILL happen) I wouldnt be surprised if every last of one of them is blotted off the face of this planet forever.

Ah, re: to the photo. You do NOT wear makeup in combat. Just because some wears a BDU and holds an assault rifle, is not tantamount to combat. Far from it. Let’s see the ladies get the same haircut as us men. Let’s see them do without personal hygiene, out in the bush or desert, for a month. Let’s see you carry your combat load, plus fireman carry a 200 pound male soldier/marine, under fire. You cannot do it!
I believe the best way to do this is via my CMC that I served under, from 1980 to 1983 on active duty.

I had the privilege of meeting him in person, and my unit being personally inspected by this great general, and true patriot. A genuine human being, which has passed on. A genuine human that we are in grave short supply to this day.
Here’s another way to respond this:
Women in Combat is an ancient question. Gen. Barrow simply restates the obvious for the 21st century audience:

2 the all the detractors you do not know your history. In terms of evolution setting aside the macro for the micro women will NEVER involve into a man! That is what it will take 4 you 2 equal us. (aside from GENOME experimentation).

Ah, no, women have not served in combat. As Gen. Barrow reiterates, unless one “seeks, close with, and destroys the enemy,” one has NOT served in combat. It is as plain as that. Let us hope that western society never does or allows that.
This is the dumbest, stupidest idea out of DC in a long time. They really outdid themselves this time.

Why anyone would be proud to sign up for what is going on, is a mystery and obviously can not think clearly to start with.
