Chuck Hagel is the right person at exactly the right time as Secretary of Defense, for his thinking is in concert with main street America ~ but not necessarily in agreement with our AIPAC dominated Congress

Chuck Hagel is a potential breath of fresh air in the corporate polluted and AIPAC dominated belt way which enjoys a good or excellent Congressional approval rating from a scant 9% of American voters ~ and where 53% of Americans still rightfully feel that neither party represents the American people.

At the end of these nomination hearings ~ the impact of the Hagel nomination could well be more about the future of the Republican Party.

If the GOP confirms Hagel, it could bolster the idea of a “big tent” Republican Party. Uri Avery in Israel, precisely summed up my feelings about the Hagel nomination on January 12, 2013 ~ “ I FIND Chuck Hagel eminently likeable. I am not quite certain why… Perhaps it’s his war record. He was decorated for valor in the Vietnam War (which I detested). He was a mere sergeant. Since I was a mere corporal in our 1948 war, I find it elating to see a non-commissioned officer become Minister of Defense…. Like so many veterans who have seen war from close up (myself included), he has become an enemy of war. Many Jewish groups and columnists are strongly supporting Hagel. It appears to be only AIPAC ( the American Israel Public Affairs Committee) and die hard neo-conservatives, like Senator Lindsey Graham and the Weekly Standard’s Bill Kristol, who brought us and supported the past decade of wars and occupations ~ who obviously oppose him.

Hagel is a ray of light in the darkness of our illegal and costly occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan as well as our current policy of thinly disguised Regime Change in Libya and Syria ~ so watching Hagel effectively duel with John ‘Bomb, Bomb’ McCain as well as Lindsey ‘Israeli patriot’ Graham gives me some hope for our immediate and long term future ~ that is if this truth teller is confirmed by the Senate.
Hagel’s time has come and he is the right person at the right time for an over-extended American empire that is financially, morally and spiritually bankrupt.

Reading many comments here, makes me think that too many give up before the real fight begins.
Let’s face it, we live in a time of war and every candidate who refuses to participate in any thinkale situation is welcomed.
The real alternative would be to have just another crew of war criminals acting on behalf of Israel (I really mean the crooks, liars and criminals in charge), against the US – and from a broader perspective against most of the people on this planet.
Go Chuck! Lindsay Graham and McCain are human garbage. Lindsay is a homo pedo fag and McCain is a traitor sell out who should be beheaded in public with a dull knife.

Hagel knows the enemy and he knows himself ~ the enemy has blown their cover and now stand fully exposed to ridicule ~ Hagel will win this battle and be confirmed.

You cannot argue with ignorant idealogs like McCain, and his side kicks Graham, and the like. The overwhelming issue for the grunt Hagel and the silver spoon officer McCain is that we should have never fought in Vietnam or Iraq and should have left Afganistan after the Sp. Forces couldnt do much but assasinate tribal leaders like they did in Vietnam. McCain and his circle of ignorant idealogs are still fighting for the “righteousness” of these wars while most of the rest of us including Hagel, who woke up along time ago are trying to not repeat these life taking immoral events. McCain who according to reliable sources got shot down for disobeying an order to fly higher and go to a military target, not one that could kill alot of civilians. So the double whammy is that we should have not been there and even if it was justified he still screwed up and got caught. And everyone pretends that he is a hero. Hagel who as far as I know never really advertised his actions in Vietnam is in a way alot like the rest of us Grunts and may not like Officers like McCain. It was almost like McCain was pulling rank on him in the hearings.

When Hagel was fighting for the VA funding and Vet Center for Vietnam Vets it ran counter to the Reagan policy of cutting federal programs so he resigned in protest. I would like him to get the gig, stay in there and not resign and if he is fired, on his way out he needs to speak as a true warrior grunt and talk to us ordinary peace loving folks about what the hell is really going on and take his chances. These soldiers always go out saluting and seem to have taken an oath of secrecy. A true warrior will put their life on the line to speak the truth to us. We shall see.

Tough call on this one. One thing is certain, though. IF Hagel gets past the Jewish Mafia and IF Hagel lives long enough to stand up to the Jewish Mafia or start “cleaning house” at DOD, we will FINALLY know where Obama stands.

Alan I enjoy your articles, but I disagree with you about Hagel I think he has become an Israeli stooge. Anybody Obama nominates is an Israeli stooge or willing to become an Israeli stooge.
Some people suggest Hagel is kissing the ass of Israeli during the confirmation hearings in order to get the job; then if he is confirmed he will act like a loyal American, not an Israeli firster, but I’m not buying it. Even if this is his plan AIPAC won’t let him get away with it. AIPAC through the Jewish controlled media will destroy him with secret personal information if he doesn’t surrender to blackmail.

Yes, Ordinary Serf, I do. We people in Germany had the exciting experience that just at the moment people came in power, who never experienced war by their own, our country participated in one of the greatest criminal wars in Europe after WWII.
I have a completely counter perspective of what Brian repeatedly and vehemently promotes here. So. let me explain my objectives to his points.
1. Only taking words into account, but not actions, is misleading and could be very wrong.
2. Why is nobody talking about other candidates, who might have been proposed for this emminent job? Think a little time about this, who other could have been put onto a list of potential candidates? This alone makes me frightened.
3. Hagel has credentials, not only those words he spoke face to face in this fake and totally staged hearing (mostly he was not allowed to reply in complete and meaningful centences, but had to answer “yes” or “no”, what a shame is this.
4. Every one, who insists that Hagel was not well prepared, underestimates him totally. He knew how to react. In not reacting they way, many here and elsewere wanted him to reply, was his main tactic. Think a bit about this. Who was exposed at the end? I tell you: McCain and the other criminals, who actively and now in the open actively work against the US. Does anyone here have the guts to state that greater parts of the american people are just too dumb to see what’s going on here? No, I repeat: Never, never underestimate the people. We’ve seen this error much too often in history as well as in present times.
5. If Brian’s criteria’s – outspoken or indirectly stated as those – are taken word for word, the US would never have a new secretary of state. The last ones shurely were war criminals as well disgusting personalities, most of the time directly working for the most active and dangerous enemy of the US, that’s Israel.
These are my personal main objectives. I hope, some people may begin to think more political in a practical manner than always saying “all or nothing”.
I would agree with that Detlef…..as I state in other places on this article from Allen, at this level I cannot belief that Hagel was not totally briefed on what to expect and how to deal with it.

Well Allen, I admit I haven’t had chance to look at the fine detail here, but there seems to be an overwhelming pessimism because of this ‘perceived power’ that he is facing. Things are rarely as cut and dried as that and I’m not as cynical – can’t believe that Hagel hasn’t been briefed to oblivion on what to expect and how to handle this.

Deception is a major part of the AIPAC and Mossad strategy, they wrote the book about deception. They did 911 and Israel is still regarded as one of our best friends, they still control the Pink House and Congress and get more money from us than any other country even though they killed over 3,000 people on 911 and deceived the people of the United States to invade Afghanistan and Iraq.
I’m supposed to believe this silly deception plan by Hagel is going to work? I extremely doubt it and I also don’t believe he has such a silly plan.
With his former pronouncements Hagel has shown where he really stands. Everything he said during his interrogation therefore has to be seen as dissimulation, only to get his job. Once he gets his job he will show his true colors again, which means no war with Iran. What the Jewish ( not :”Israel”) Lobby will do then has to be seen. If he has skeletons in the closet, expect a “scandal” to erupt. But of course he could also be “Forrestalled”.
My hunch is that he hasn’t got any significant skeletons in the closet and that is one of the reasons he has been nominated and also one of the reasons there is a frantic campaign to stop him getting in. It’s finely balanced.
