The Greatest Battle of All Time – Stalingrad

Mamayev Kurgan is a war memorial like no other on earth ~ for it is dominated by an angry goddess. The most gigantic, impressive and eerie statue in the world, Rodina-Mat, the Mother Goddess of Russia, touts up 160 feet without any pedestal, 20 feet higher than the Statue of Liberty ~ it is the resting place for 35,000 Soviet soldiers who died defending their city, their country and eventually the world.

by Allen L Roland

Saturday, Feb. 2 marked a very obscure date for Americans, but one that saved the lives of hundreds of thousands of young American boys in World War II ~ it is the 70th anniversary of the final surrender of German forces at Stalingrad ~ The decisive battle of World War II

I was only nine years old when the invincible German sixth army was decisively beaten in the battle of Stalingrad and the tide of World War II permanently changed.

Here’s a six minute video clip of what the fighting looked like at Stalingrad in the middle of the Winter ~

I vividly remember the shock and elation of that event even as a young child in Nahant, Massachusetts ~ for quite suddenly a glimmer of  world wide hope replaced the growing despair of watching an apparently invincible German Wehrmacht, that had conquered the entire European continent in less than three years, brought to its knees by the courageous Russian defenders of Stalingrad.

Americans have never had to defend their country from a fierce fighting force intent on occupying them such as Russia endured in World War 2 ~ so to truly understand the depth of Russian patriotism, as well as other occupied countries and states, we must understand the battle and triumph of Stalingrad against insurmountable odds.

The human cost was truly horrific, as Martin Sieff explains in his commemorative article entitled ~ The Greatest Battle of All Time ~ and Why It Still Matters Today.

Excerpt: The colossal scale of the fighting between Nazi Germany and the Soviet Union in what Russians call the Great Patriotic War was well recognized by Americans and Britons at the time but it has been virtually forgotten since. But it dwarfed every other battlefront of the war combined. Eight out of 10 German soldiers killed in World War II died fighting the Red Army. The colossal total of nearly 27 million Soviet military and civilian dead was more than twice the death toll of all Americans, Britons, Commonwealth, French and even Germans killed in the war combined…. According to British military historian Anthony Bevoir, 1.1 million Soviet soldiers died in the Battle of Stalingrad and that does not include the at least 100,000 and possibly three times as many civilian inhabitants of the city massacred by the repeated waves of indiscriminate Luftwaffe air attacks….Nazi losses were colossal, too. According to Russian estimates, 1.5 million German and Axis soldiers lost their lives in the entire campaign, more than five times the entire U.S. combat dead for all of the war and more than twice the combined Union and Confederate dead of the entire U.S. Civil War.”

The Russian triumph at Stalingrad rapidly led to a German retreat and the inevitable encirclement of Berlin by allied forces. Here’s the scene in the German film Downfall, where Hitler finally realises he is defeated in Berlin, and lets out his anger on his Generals. This is the original video, parodied so many times on Youtube ~ the film is excellent and English Soft Subs/Closed Captions are available, look at the bottom right. 4 minute video

My point here is that patriotism that is grounded in overcoming a foreign invader ~ such as Russia’s victory at Stalingrad ~ is far more formidable than just waving flags and singing anthems. America should be conscious that our illegal occupations of Iraq and Afghanistan have resulted in millions of civilian deaths and displacements. More importantly they have also become the breeding ground of patriotic freedom fighters who can no longer be labeled insurgents or terrorists ~ who we use to justify even more military spending.

And who is paying the cost of roughly 3 trillion dollars for these illegal wars and occupations?

American families are now paying at least $20,000 each for these occupations (including the hidden social costs) with no end in sight.

 It’s the biggest bubble of all ~ The so-called US government takes our money;
Then gives it to corporate thieves and uses it to create mayhem around the world.
We are poorer for it.
Our children are poorer for it.
The nation is poorer for it.
It’s really no more complicated than that.

See three minute video

Now, 70 years later, the apparently invincible American  Wehrmacht, as recently represented by Vice President Joe Biden, set the record straight at the annual Munich Security Conference ~ as reported by WSWS .. not only is this decade-long exercise in US militarism not ended, it is about to erupt in a whole number of new areas across the globe, threatening the lives of countless millions of people.” See article

The greatest threat to our world and its peace comes from those who want war, who prepare for it, and who, by holding out vague promises of future peace or by instilling fear of foreign aggression, try to make us accomplices to their plans.” ~ Hermann Hesse

  1. Peter Pan, Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I looked it up and sure enough, it’s the same band of psychopathic criminal degenerates dragging everything else down into the sewer. Same gang every time. They are absolutely good for nothing but destruction. For all the good military leaders we have it’s just a damn shame they take orders from these hoodlums.

  2. Thank you Mr. Roland:

& some documentaries in support of your article:

  3. This is Sovietic propaganda. For one thing, actual German losses were far lower, about 200,000. The rest were other Axis troops of minimal military value like Italians, Romanians and Hungarians, plus a good dose of the usual Soviet exaggeration thrown in. If the Germans had lost well over half a million men there the war would have been over a lot sooner. Other figures are also exaggerated, like the USSR losing 27 million, the claim was 20 million until recently, and a lot were killed by Stalin anyway. And there’s no evidence the Luftwaffe bombing killed more than some thousands of civilians, many of whom fled as the Germans approached, plus thousands of military personnel, and the total population was only about 400,000 anyway, so the bombing is supposed to have maybe just about killed them all??? Odd how everywhere else it was vastly less effective, the whole London Blitz over 8 months killed only about 30,000. And Stalingrad saved no American lives, Hitler did not want to fight the western powers who declared war on him (or waged it in Roosevelt’s case) and demanded unconditional surrender.

    What a crock.

  4. Mr. Roland,
The following is not intended to disparage your personal experience, however a few things must be understood. Germany invaded Russia because the enemy of Germany was always the Communist. Commies did not fight for you, or anyone in the west. On the other hand, it was the west, esp. Jewish controlled German banks, and Wall st. itself that funded Lenin and the Russian revolution. This condition continued in WW2 through the development of the Murmansk convoy. Murmansk was an ice free arctic port located just beyond the Finnish border. From 1941 to 1945 America shipped to Stalin untold millions of dollars worth of ordinance. To suggest this was not a help to the commies is being disingenuous, sir.
The battle of Stalingrad did not result in the end of the German army. Stalin’s spring offensive into Ukraine was crushed by an unusual suspension of Hitler’s stand and fight ethos. Russian casualties were so extensive that if not for lack of fuel and ammo, the German army would have marched on Moscow virtually unopposed. What really destroyed the German army was Hitlers decision to attack the Russian entrenchment at Kursk. Kursk soon grew into a battle of attrition, and Russia has always been able to absorb far more casualties than their opponents. Kursk was no different.
Stalingrad should never have occurred. It was further proof that while he was a good artist, a brave soldier, and a formidable politician, Hitler was a fool when it came to military strategy. This is not the venue to fully illustrate this case, however excellent histories have been written by German scholars, and I refer you to them, beginning with Paul Carrell.
Missing from the Russian stats, are first of all, any truth, and second of all, an accounting for almost 400,000 German and German allied POWs. Of them, merely a few thousand ever returned to Germany after then end of the war. Your Russian heroes made certain that all the rest died, sir.
The commie victory at Stalingrad was not a great moment for humanity. It ensured that one of the most murderous, callous, anti-life ideologies ever invented would continue to exist, and even prosper. To be clear, this is not an indictment of the Russian people, who are themselves largely victims of this ideology, it is an indictment of the likes of Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, and their hordes of supporters who have brought a plague to humanity across the entire globe.

    • In regards to the treatment of prisoners of war Hitler offered to adhere to the Geneva convention and apply this to captured soviet troops if the USSR would do the same for Germans who were in soviet captivity even though the Soviet Union was not a signatory to this document. Stalin refused. According to him any red army soldier who surrendered was a traitor to the Motherland and he went out of his way to invite mistreatment of them. 5. “It wasn’t the West who helped Stalin”…

Let’s look to Douglas Reed’s “The Controversy of Zion”, pp 361-363:

“In vain the Republican leader, Senator Robert E. Taft, protested when he saw what was going on: ‘How can anyone swallow the idea that Russia is battling for democratic principles… To spread the four freedoms throughout the world we will ship aeroplanes and tanks to communist Russia. But no country in the world was more responsible for the present war and Germany’s aggression.”

How many tanks, aeroplanes, and misc were GIFTED to Communist (Zionist) Russia by the War industries Board, commanded utterly by American Harry Hopkins, successor to WWI’s Bernard Baruch? We know through Mr. Reeds exhaustive work within the archives of all countries concerned, and these appalling figures are taken directly from the meticulous record keeping of Captain George Racey Jordan, Liason Officer at the great Newark Airport in New Jersey.

“Of aeroplanes and tanks, 15,000 and 7,000, respectively, were donated. A navy of 581 vessels was also given… all materials necessary for the creation of an atomic pile… tractors and farm machinery, aluminum manufacturing plant, railway car shops, steel mill equipment and the like more.

President Truman’s Twenty First Report to Congress on Lend-Lease Operations shows under the head of non-munitions the enormous figures of $1,674,586,000 for agricultural products and 3,040,423,000 for industrial materials and products

The amount of material GIVEN to Stalin will amaze anyone: $9,500,000,000. The USA was then as now a banana republic, fully owned and operated by the Zionist Jews who arranged and arrange war for profit and population control, and as well as massive blood sacrifice to their “god”.

Read the book. Reed has perhaps one peer in my experience, a Mr. David Irving.

    • The overall point of the article is well taken, however, to continue to espouse that the defeat of Germany was the cherished outcome of WWII denies why it was arranged in the first place. The myth of a good war is false, especially in the case of WWII.

The iron curtain, and vast war profits were the desired outcomes of the conflict. General G. Patton was not in on that game, and voiced his desire to send the depleted Soviet forces home in a hurry. Instead, he was sent home while Eisenhower oversaw the rape and starvation of the prostrate German civilian populace, who were guilty of one thing alone: repudiating the Versailles “treaty”.

  6. As far as I know, Hitler wasn’t looking to plunder the Swiss bank accounts of gold as Prometey suggests in FB above….rather he was selling gold (which had been plundered from occupied countries) in exchange for Swiss francs (over 1,200 million francs worth). This is a complex area because of Swiss neutrality and customs relating to assets purchased in ‘good faith’ etc. but I remember in the press 1990s, there was a big report done on this subject in response to a Jewish class action lawsuit in New York. I’ll look it up and see if I can find the report.

    • (Mean Swiss vaults of gold, not Swiss bank accounts obviously)

      • Found it on Wiki…..it’s the Bergier Commission:

“Final Report of the Independent Commission of Experts Switzerland – Second World War”

        • Didn’t come up as a link there as I intended Stephen, but if you google that you will find the Wiki article and it is in one of the footnotes.

  7. I am really touch that you guys remember who saved American lives during WW2. But let’s ask ourselves an important question. How come Hitler conquered the whole Europe in 3 years but never turned his eyes on Switzerland with tones of gold in the banks. Pleas don’t tell me he was scared of the armed Swiss citizens. He didn’t need occupy the country, he could have taken the gold and rolled back to Germany. Answering this question will help to understand what is happening to America today. BTW, this people in the clip above keep talking about unsustainable war. Guys, it never meant to be sustainable. You are in this war to bankrupt your country completely. Don’t you get it? You don;t need to conduct a war to conquer a country. Nobody attacked America, yet it is in ruins and on its knees. Common guys, think harder.

  8. The USSR-USA alliance should be a source of shame to Americans. Stalin was worse than Hitler. He killed far more people, invaded just as many countries and was a tyrant to his own citizens killing millions. The deliberately induced famine in Ukraine occurred in 1932-33. http://www.holodomor.org That same year of 1933 was when Franklin Roosevelt extended diplomatic recognition to the USSR even though they were killing millions of people. FDR was a closet communist. http://www.jrbooksonline.com/fdr-scandal-page/fdr.html How else can anyone explain his attitude towards Stalin? Everything he condemned in Hitler – dictatorship, one party state, concentration camps, secret police, press censorship – he supported in Stalin. In 1943 news of the Katyn massacre of Polish officers broke. Roosevelt was told by his own intelligence service that it was the soviets but lied through his teeth and informed the American public that it was the nazis. This pro communism of FDR happened a long time before WW2 so it was not because of that alliance. As previously mentioned the Roosevelt administration gave diplomatic recognition to the Soviets during the holodomor. Also during the Spanish civil war instead of remaining neutral and not supporting either side FDR backed the Republicans who had many communists in their ranks. The claim that this battle of Stalingrad saved American lives is false. Roosevelt insisted on a policy of unconditional surrender instead of a negotiated peace which made it a fight to the death and resulted in millions of casualties on both sides. FDR said that there would be a free and independent Korea. He lied – half of the country was given to the communists. 50 000 Americans killed there because of Roosevelt’s perfidy. Same thing in Vietnam. Half given to the communists, another 50 000 Americans killed. Roosevelt was a warmonger, a war criminal and a war profiteer. Roosevelt was a criminal who should have been impeached.

    • I think the killings you are trying to blame on Stalin were actually committed by the Bolsheviks, who were predominantly Jewish. They instituted “The Red Terror” and extermination of the Russian farmers. Does it ring a bell with what is going on in America today with all these food raids on Wholesome Foods, etc.? Mind you, no Russian runs your country today. Look at the names of the key officials who run America. These are neo-Bolsheviks and they are following the same blueprint. So, if you study what happened in Russia, you can easily predict what will happen in America. Your problem is that you have no Stalin to save you.

    • roosevelt was in his heart first a jew and second president of the us. that, alphonso, is the answer.

    • It’s heartbreaking that only now is the truth being told about WWII, Korea, Viet Nam, Iraq etc. For the last
70 plus years these events have been presented to the American people as black and white, good and bad
in simple minded terms. Your analysis is true and accurate to the best of my knowledge.
The upshot is that the elements which have profited so enormously from generating war hysteria have
finally bankrupted our country. I suppose we deserve the economic fall-out we’re about to experience.

  9. It wasn’t the West who helped Stalin ~ the only two perennial allies of the Soviet Union were beginning to be felt by both sides in 1941 ~ First, Torrential rains turned the roads into quagmires, slowing the advance on Moscow. ’General Mud’ had slowed Napoleon in 1812, and it slowed the German advance in 1941. The second was the expansive Soviet territory. The great distance the Germans had to travel began to extend their supply lines over great distances. Partisans, first disorganized and cut off, then later with plainclothes officers of the Red Army, began to harass these supply lines. Without enough soldiers to protect the supply lines and fight the main engagement, the invinciple German Wehrmacht began to stagger and when Winter settled in it ~ it ground to a halt. See http://www.worldwar2database.com/html/barbarossa.htm

    • Alan, you’re right that it is a forgotten battle in the Anglo Saxon world. Don’t have the numbers, but trucks, radio and airplane parts came just in large enough quantity to give Stalin an edge, but not overwhelmingly so. My take is that this was designed to be a grinder. Much of manufacturing and electricity was financed through western bankers for decades, according to Sutton. Ford, GE, Westinghouse, Armand Hammer come to mind.

You’re right about long supply lines, Stalin’s scored earth policy and all out partisan warfare. It was a war fought with little quarter given, outside of Hague and Geneva rules of warfare. What’s your take on “Icebreaker”, that foodstuff, livestock, specialized workers and factories were evacuated to the Ural ahead of advancing troops? After the gigantic early losses, Stalin gave his Generals like Zhukov more freedom, halting the purges. So they learned from the German blitz and Kesselschlacht, in tactics, battlefield com. and tank strategy. T34 was plenty, cheap, had a big gun and was hard to penetrate for the guns available in 1942. There were several times where it could have gone either way. The losses were not to be overcome by the Germans, supply was dismal and often resources were given to prestige projects, like the monster Kingtiger, not quantity and what infantry needed. So Detroit style manufacturing, adaptability, along with slave labor system, and ruthless use of their people won. Just of the top of my head.

      • “What’s your take on “Icebreaker”, that foodstuff, livestock, specialized workers and factories were evacuated to the Ural ahead of advancing troops?”

Here’s my take ~ There were no stockpiles of fuel, ammunition, and other stores held in forward areas as would have been needed if an invasion was about to be mounted by Russia. Major ground units were dispersed into small garrisons rather than being concentrated at railheads, as they would have been had they been preparing an invasion. Units were not co-located with their own transportation assets, leaving, for example, major artillery units immobile. Over 50% of all Soviet tanks required major maintenance on June 22, 1941. If an invasion were being planned, these maintenance tasks would have been completed. Most Soviet armor units were in the process of re-organizing into new Tank Corps; the German invasion caught these units in the midst of this reorganization. Such a large-scale reorganization is inconsistent with an impending invasion. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Icebreaker_(Suvorov)

        • Central planning at it’s best. There is no question that large amounts of offensive weapons, airplanes and paratroopers divisions were within the first 100 km of the border. It was an invasion force, not a defensive deployment. Also fits the doctrine of the time not to fight on Russian soil. Was it battle-ready, without officers and ammunition? The answer must be no.

        • I was always under the impression that the reorganization was a massive undertaking after the soviets were embarrassed by the finns? When barbarosa started they were still in the midst of the transformation.

    • Very good and true summary. Does it remind you the situation with American army today? You guys were tricked into a trap, and now your boys are dying, country is going bankrupt due to military expansion (you have to pay for what? 700 bases around the world?). Nobody fire a shot at you and the country is falling apart. You let the neo-Bolsheviks (sponsored by the banking cartel) run your country and they destroyed it, just like they destroyed many other countries before in the past 2 thousand years.

      • Quite True, peterpan ~ the analogy is both correct and obvious which is why I posted this story. We have become the American Wehrmacht over-extended, bankrupt and hated ~ ripe for the plucking !

      • “The Jews of the world, the Zionists and their co-religionists everywhere, are determined that they are going to again use the United States to help them permanently retain Palestine as their foothold for their world government. That is just as true as I am standing here. Not alone have I read it, but many here have also read it, and it is known all over the world.

What are we going to do? The life you save may be your son’s. Your boys may be on their way to that war tonight; and you don’t know it any more than you knew that in 1916 in London the Zionists made a deal with the British War Cabinet to send your sons to war in Europe.”

—(the ever prescient) Benjamin Freedman from his 1961 speech at the Willard Hotel, Washington DC ****http://rense.com/general34/amaz.htm

  10. With less American help in supplying “Uncle Joe”, the Germans would have have had a better chance at Moscow and Stalingrad.

    • The Germans could have taken Moscow if they went straight through instead of diverting south to take Kiev. by the time they reached the outskirts of Moscow winter was right around the corner. There was a window to act but they didn’t act and with the redeployment of the winter ready forces into Moscow the germans were in for a rough time. Plus the Russian people had what they called the spirit of borodino(pardon the spelling). Napoleon couldn’t do it. So why would the Germans? Funny how the largest land battle in history was between to sides that were supposedly idealogicly opposite. Opposite to the point of being the same. All people on all sides were “played” by tptb.

      • Note: borodino was where napoleon was beat back by the Russians. That spirit solidified the people to help out wherever they could.

        • Napoleon actually WON the battle of Borodino (Sept 7th), at least on a tactical level, but it was a Pyrrhic victory. The Grande Armee was then free to occupy Moscow but the Russians deliberately set fires, and burned three-fourths of the city. Although there was still some habitable shelter, there was no food in Moscow, and typhus raged in the city.

The French would stay in Moscow for only one month. There was nothing that they could use in the city, so it was impossible to stay there for the winter. The Russians refused Napoleon’s overtures to surrender (the REAL spirit of Borodino) and on October 19th, 95,000 French soldiers retreated into the cold, back to Smolensk and ultimately to where they had started.

Interestingly, just one month into the campaign, Napoleon had already lost 80,000 soldiers to typhus and dysentery and Moscow was still 480 klicks to the east. This was mostly due to inadequate lines of supply, etc which forced his army to forage for food in the countryside, pillaging from the peasants. Memoirs by the French soldiers and their allies indicate that the Polish peasants were infested with fleas, lice, and bed bugs and basically lived in squalor.

So although the French won the battle, they lost the war and by the end of December, fewer than 40,000 soldiers and stragglers crossed the Niemen river back into friendly territory…out of an estimated half a million fighting men that started the campaign 6 months earlier.

It would perhaps seem that more than anything else, it was typhus infested lice that kicked Boney’s arse.

      • Mud. Don’t forget that much of the Wehrmacht guns and supply were still horse-drawn. General Staff was indecisive, Hitler changed his mind twice, then looked towards Kiev instead, but split the forces. Lend-Lease came on massively. Later on, the lines were spread so thin, making German speed pincer moves an impossibility. But on a grander plane, played, yeah. Still much debate, was it a preemptive strike or war of aggression in 1941. Look at the type of armament and the type of deployment on the Soviet side. Plenty of sources on that.

  11. Hitler thought the 6th army could do anything and everything. After a battle in rostov he still expected the 6th to go on and take stalingrad. The supply columns must have been so stretched out. When the 6th got to stalingrad the resistance was fierce. After finally overtaking one grain elevator which inflicted heavy losses they were demoralized to find around 25 soviet soldiers. Yet with all that they still took 9 tenths of the city. Hitler even bragged about capturing the city. A tad premature. Lenningrad was very nasty as well with a seemingly never-ending siege. The Russians in the city ate “bread” made of sawdust. Soviet tanks would roll out of the factories on to the battlefield. The Germans knew they where in trouble when thier oil froze in thier tanks. That and back in Germany there was a winter clothes drive for the troops on the front lines.
been a while since i tried to remember this from school. Even then who knows how much of that was accurate.
    Great article Alan!

  12. The plains of Eastern and Central Europe have seen some epic slaughter through time, whether it was the Thirty Year War, the Battle of the Nations or Stalingrad. These events speak of the resiliency of the human spirit, to then overcome and transcend artificial ideological divisions. The joint commemoration this year touched my heart. Watching the movie clip above, I am thankful for not having been put in that situation, having served only in times of peace.

  13. Charlotte NC Bill

With better leadership the Germans would have won-and Europe would have been better off if they had.

    • Right you are. Stalingrad was a tragedy in the big scheme of things, a victory for Stalin and his judeo-Bolshevik thugs.

It’s hard to see how anyone could consider Stalingrad a victory for anything but evil.

      • I have to agree with you, C NC B and DaveE. Ever since the psychopath Cromwell plotted the betrayal and overthrow of his own King, delivered his country whole into the hands of slave-minded intruders and their domestic traitors, oversaw the brutal persecution of his own people and the abuse of the magnificent English Army and Navy, the ancient and noble warrior traditions have been relentlessly chipped down to the point where we all we now have is a world wide system of Thunderdomes. It was the beginning of the end.

Leonidas, Caesar, Jason, Beowulf, Gawain, all graced the pages of literature and taught countless generations of boys about loyalty and bravery. And all over the world classical literature of various traditions taught the same. But that would soon change.

Now we’re stuck with cowards who can’t add or subtract, won’t work, despise our country, and fear the very servicemen they send to their deaths as errand boys looting other nations and bankrupting us. Some of them aren’t even American and they have the privilege of telling us what to do. And our so called “leaders” let them.

It pains me to see footage of WWH#2 as was simply eliminating mass numbers of fighting men who could have posed threats to the lazy, venal parasites. Population reduction has always been a high priority for them and they don’t care how they do it. They are exceedingly destructive so a planetary war doesn’t cost them a thought. Nobody connected to them is involved so what do they care.

Furthermore these wars don’t just crop up as we are told. They are planned years in advance. You don’t think these guys would allow that much money to get authorized without them knowing about it, do you? I am sorry for both sides, this did not need to happen. The only ones who profited were the ones who planned it in the first place, right after the first bloodletting stopped.

        • Sounds like you read “Committee of 300″ by John Coleman.

          • Nope, never heard of it.

          • Here’s the 21 Goals of the Illuminati and The Committee of 300 including ~
            1. To establish a One World Government/New World Order with a unified church and monetary system under their direction.

          • Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I looked it up and sure enough, it’s the same band of psychopathic criminal degenerates dragging everything else down into the sewer. • Peterpan, thanks to you again for suggesting the book. Yes it is critical information but it is still difficult for our fellow citizens to accept that there is so much unmitigated evil in governance, and that so many of those in control despise our Constitution and our Nation, not to mention us.

I hope that more Intel professionals do the same as they come to realize how their skills and good offices have been used and abused by deceitful, duplicitous degenerates with only a fraction of their brain power and none of their loyalty, all in the betrayal of America even as they are led to believe the opposite. Wouldn’t it all make a great movie series.

        • Crushed it Ann, you too Allen. BTW, your youtube footage linked me to some other excellent stuff. Excellent as usual Allen.

          • @ Stephen G
I am in the process. A must read for everyone on this planet. Should be taught in school instead of the garbage they brainwash our kids with. Here is passage from the book, that may get you interested: “..Roosevelt sent a cable to one of his most trusted officers on the ground at Pearl Harbor, Lt. Clifford M. Andrews of the Office Naval Intelligence (ONI).
