Mideast Syria

The fight against Assad’s brutal regime has taken an unexpected turn late Thursday afternoon when a large weapons cache belonging to the so-called national protection force in Homs city, an arm of Assad’s Shabeeha, was destroyed.

The explosion was reminiscent of the attack on Qasyoon mountain, a stronghold for the Syrian army and a location said to house missiles targeting Israel.

It was first reported that the missile fueling station had blown up which seemed like a reasonable proposition especially since an ammunition depot was targeted.

Nuclear strikes on Syria: The genie is already out of the bottle
But the two explosions in Homs and Qasyoon share the same property: They are both above ground air bursts according to Greg Thielmann, an expert on arms control policy whom I spoke with on Saturday at great length. I was first alerted to the connection by slow twitter chatter right after the bombing in Homs.

Needless to say I was shocked at what he told me next: “The fact of the matter is, what we are seeing in both these cases is a tactical nuclear strike, probably by cruise missiles launched from aircrafts near the borders of Syria or right off the coast in the Mediterranean.”

But sure, Greg, wouldn’t this mean a nuclear holocaust? Not so he says. “Tactical nuclear weapons lower the threshold on use of a nuclear bomb as their modern incarnation can be tuned in yield in order to target military sites using stand off weapons without escalating by destroy surrounding civilian infrastructure.”

He went on: “Keep in mind a nuclear bomb sounds like a huge device, but it can have a yield as small as the equivalent conventional payload carried by a formation of 5 F-15s. Sites in Syria are inaccessible to these jets due to the Russian support available in the field of air defense. So these strikes are an option for the west to implement its policy.”

The likely assailant in both cases is Israel he claims: “Israel is the only nation that can deploy these sorts of weapons with impunity without fear of a counter-attack. Syria has shown no appetite to get into a shooting fight even over the deployment of such weapons”.

This all presented a remarkably delicious possibility of removing the tyrant Assad using all tools available. “The army can be gradually destroyed with these sort of strikes, or destroyed all in one go in a devastating nuclear attack. Should Assad attempt to counter-attack, the cities can be destroyed by larger nuclear bombs with ease, since the insurgents have done the job of deteriorating Assad’s command on the ground”, an anonymous military strategist added.

What about the coast, I asked him? “The coast does present a problem for suppression of air defense missions by NATO due to Russian missiles stationed there, but as I speak hordes of Muslims are throwing themselves on coastal cities in the hopes of destroying these weapons to allow Israel and NATO to intervene.”.

This made no sense to me since the coastal cities are amongst the most supportive of Assad. “It’s not an issue, the insurgents are now armed with chemical weapons manufactured in Georgia exactly for this scenario. Assad’s pulse was tested in Khan Assal a week ago when an entire brigade was killed with chemical weapons and there was no response. We don’t see a likely response to further use of this tool.”

I concluded with him that it is awfully ironic that an inhuman weapon such as nuclear weapons and chemical weapons could be used to promote human rights and freedom in the world. But the Syrian people, or at least who will remain of them after these attacks, deserve to enjoy the same freedoms enjoyed today by Iraqis.

“Don’t be so sure”, another anonymous strategist disagreed, “We are now playing with nuclear fire and the use of all these weapons of mass destruction will definitely attract a counterattack with massive force. We are now on a slippery slope, there is no such thing as a limited nuclear strike, the retaliation will be delayed, but it is coming and god save us all when the nuclear fire spreads to our backyards.”

Spooky stuff. All I know is, I’ll be spending time in my summer home in the woods for the next few weeks.

This always comes to mind, the Davy Crocket from the early 60’s,so it really doesn’t take a mental giant to figure it out, I am sickened to even think of where we are at now.

My specialty in the RAF was special stores, a euphemism for nuclear weapons. Examining the video in slow motion frame by frame to slow dawn the expanding fire ball it becomes clear that the explosion was nuclear in nature, probably a sub critical weapon with a yield of between half and 2 kilotons. Using ground burst techniques i.e. detonating the weapon subsurface to as much as 100ft high will greatly reduce the flash and super sonic pulse pressure wave particularly if burst subsurface directing the majority of the blast upwards from ground zero. Russian satellites would detect the double hunt electromagnetic pulse as would any self respecting magnetometer in the area. Referring to the video again there is a secondary explosion to the right of the main event this looks more like an ammunition detonation. We are in fact looking at a similar weapon to those used in the US attacks on Fallujah Iraq. which has since been proved by detection of the fission residues.

    As to Louis Gavin,

I would prefer him to come down to the comment section and discuss here.

Like Gordon Duff says, Gavin is not a troll, and I know he’s not ADL/AIPAC either.

Having Jews like him over here is very useful,it gives people an opportunity to see the classical brainwashing going on in “ordinary” Jews.

I also had to deprogram myself, and the fact Gavin reads VT and sticks to the matter at hand means he’ s waking up,and the more Jews are waking up to reality ,the better.

On Jewish Zionist sites ,I’ve recommended many articles articles on VT and discussed with them.

That’s when the real Zionist trolls show up,trying to silence me and keep the flock together.

As long as any “troll” sticks to the facts and discusses on the matters at hand,he should be welcomed and seen as an enrichment to VT,it will also add to the credibility of this site.

Many Jews are opening up to the ugly truth,VT is the best place to wake up the ones with the guts to face it.

Some FB commenters just come here to puke some one-liner,and that’s rubbish that should be weeded out.

If they control a nation’s financial institutions, they can just about do anything they damn well please, and they know it.

Another one or two of such signature explosions should be sufficient to remove any uncertainty. Yes, of course, and then what?

This is brinksmanship of the highest order and the dogs of war have undoubtedly been unleashed. How will the Rooskies respond? Do they have their own cruise-delivered tactical nukes? Are we seeing some ancient prediction…something about ‘Gog’ and Magog’ about to be played out?

What have Assad and the people of Syria done to any one to deserve this kind of barbaric act? Describing a tactical nuclear bomb as it is just like another conventional bomb in such a causal and callous manner just beggars belief. Just unbelievable. One day you will rip the bitter fruits you have sown for so many years by waging wars against any country that said no to you. The ghosts of those innocent people who were killed or murdered by your military will come back to haunt you. Remember Roman empire? Where is it now?

Seems that Israel is using one of their 5 remaining Dolphin subs to assault Syria, again. Retaliation may not be soon as this article alludes. But when it does lets hope the perpetrators receive a triple dose of payback. Time for an extra large slice of humble pie!

  9. paschn  August 7, 2013 at 3:00 pm

What NATO, AmeriKa and occupied Palestine have done to Iraq, Libya, Syria et al is nothing more than the crap they pulled, (2 of 3), in Russia. the silly statement, “…if we don’t fight them there we’ll be fighting them here” is about as lame as the term, “Anti-Semite” and just as phony. It’d be nice if pre-war canon fodder would educate themselves to the standard set of lies/false flags used to get us to fight, murder, die for mom, apple pie and the City of London. Amazing, what with the trillions spent on weps and maintaining 700 bases in 130 countries, what a war torn globe this is…..with Israel and the West ALWAYs present to (roflmao), fight tyranny while our own constitution is used by AIPAC, ACLU, SPLC and their blowflies in D.C. as toilet tissue.
Once the “benevolent” world powers realized they could conquer nations much cheaper with “regime change”, (installing a lackey” and use a nations own police/military to crush dissent while raping them of their resources) than all out invasions such as “Great” Britain et al did for centuries, they simply applied it. But in either scenario, they get fat(er) and rich(er) while the foolish rank and file die or live out their lives w/o major body parts…. Not to mention the spiritual ramifications of globe trotting to murder so that IF you make it back, some poor idiot involved in an OLDER contrived war will buy you a beer and introduce you to his buck-toothed niece. No more “Gulf of Tonkin” horseshit for this old man.

Powerful words Lonegunmen. Thanks. I soo agree with you. My education did not cover countries such as Syria, Iraq, etc. so had no idea who they even were. Sad.

In Jan.9, 2009 my journey of wow-ness began learning what has been going on in my own Country. Then the part we played in this taking over control of other countries for Greed. Hearing here, the possible use of a Nuclear Weapon against a “Village Size I would say, Country” or any country for that matter that have no WMD, they (Hezbollah, Al-qaeda, the Mujahaddin and the Taliban to name a few put out on our CMMM (Controlled Major Mass Media the greatest propaganda achievement of the CIA) the Syrian country may have a mule and a horse pulling a small cannon, how can you protect your country against Star Wars weapons? To lay the foundation of their massive lying campaign give out one of the made up names that is given to some of their flip-flop gun totting hired (Drugged) thugs are used to cause chaos. The few trouble makers are given a name that sounds Middle Eastern, blame it on some religious faction and then get a reaction from the public, (we know as the Public Opinion Setter-our TVs and news outlets) to go and kill whoever is giving the problem. Just ludicrous. How dumbed down we are here in the USA. TIME to wake up. (I am saddened by this article) Thanks again for your powerful words.

In this interview, the former French Foreign Minister said that England was preparing for the invasion of Syria 2 years before hostilities started in that country.

    “anonymous military stategist”

    “another anonymous strategist disagrees”

“Israel is the only nation that can deploy these sorts of weapons….”

What about the US with the aim of creating a regional war, like they’ve been trying actively for over a year now?

The article is obviously written to create more confrontation,in spite of the US/NATO efforts ,there’s no Israel-Iran war,no toppling of Assad,no civil war in Lebanon,no Syria -Israel war,no Israel -Hezbollah war
and the Rothschild/NATO/Al-Qaida cannibals are getting their backsides whipped in Syria, like Ahmadinejad predicted a year ago.

I’m worried about calling people trolls and banning them, why don’t you leave it to the commenters to take care of for a while?

It would be a waste if VT will start censoring, and to have a Louis Gavin around will only add to the credibility of VT,besides the fact that I think he’s not a troll,he’s a brainwashed voluntary Hasbarist getting educated.

The more openly (allowed by the cabal heads via their controlled MSM) Israel is blamed for these two nuclear like attacks, the more there is an inherent contradiction. If the cabal is run by Israel or in partnership with Israel then they would NOT want this guilt admitted. So the fact the discussion is allowed means there is an internal conflict or contradiction there. Because The cabal heads DONT have an alternative story to convince us someone else did it, hence they are allowing the Israel guilt association to blossom. Of course the cabal has to keep the USA Jews happy and cant openly dis Israel or there would be blow back from the AIPAC US Jew groups. Like when BBC said on 5 May 2013 that Israel supported Al Qaeda on radio and in print. They had to retract it. I see a coordinated push in alternative and MSM to gradually ‘dis’ Israel or allow the alternative media to do it for them. Dis Israel by proxy, by the alternative media. Its complicated. Israel as CutOut Who would ever believe thatone? Only a crazed conspiracy theorist who jumped off the deep end. Thats what I meant before by anti anti anti semitism.

    • shachalnur  August 8, 2013 at 6:57 pm

Keep an eye on the Bank of Israel nomination saga,it illustrates the split between Rothschild and “Deep State” Israel.

Last governor gone,2 candidates(All Rothschild Bankers) eliminated by Shin Bet operations.

First thing countries like Russia,China ,Iceland,Venezuela etc. had to do to liberate themselves was getting rid of Rothschild control over their Central Banks.

Israel is doing the same now.

MSM is Rothschild controlled and therefore not surprisingly is turning on Israel.

    • mommyplayer  August 8, 2013 at 11:28 pm

It says the last two candidates to head BOI were eliminated / withdrew by scandals which could have been blackmail or disinfo leverage like you suggest.
      http://www.jpost.com/Business/Home.aspx
If Israel supposedly did the Syria Bombings and Obama had nothing to do with it, then how can they still be in the ‘cabal’ together? Maybe author means Obama is clean but that the other half of the USG is dirty. But then it wouldnt be Israel strictly alone. Isnt the alternative media talking point (as in above article which has such rave reviews here ,Press TV, and at JStone forum) that Israel did it all and runs or is partners in the cabal? They used to say the USG elements/offshoots and Israel were in it together from 911 and onward. So then as per this article one would conclude there is now a split if Obama is clean. And then Obama would be a thorn in the side of the cabal like JFK, but the MSM treats Obama well. Again there is the inconsistancy to this storyline. I dont think it is just semantics. Also, what exactly is the proof that Israel did it alone as opposed to the USG alone or both together? I just dont see why more people arent asking this question. We think we know the USG is dirty in helping the Syrian rebel opposition groups to Assad and the phoney chemical weapons claims. Maybe people here and at JStones forum are afraid to mention it outloud or maybe the comment sections are plants, but then people seem to mention everything else outloud. I dont get it.

    • shachalnur  August 9, 2013 at 1:37 pm

What people don’t get is that Israel was full part of the Cabal untill June 2012.

They had to switch to BRICS to survive Rothschild’s plan of destroying Israel and the Middle East all together.

So,Israel supposedly supports Al-qaida in Syria and bombed them today in the Sinai.

Israel said no more deals with Rothschild-controlled Europe, kicks out Rothschild from the Bank of Israel, makes Obama look like the fool he is,attacks Jihadists in Egypt, and wants to take over the planet,of course.

People lack the ability to see changes that go against their prejudices,so right now are blind and are only guessing.

Military professionals find no fault with what is written here.

Catch my followup on Press TV Viewpoints.

    • shachalnur  August 8, 2013 at 5:37 pm

      Read it,

Lot’s of anonymous sources and “estimates”.

“Inside threat” to US? Very much so.

      Israeli desperation? Very much so.

Nuclear confrontation from Israel up to India(and China)? Very likely,I predicted this a year ago on VT,since this is the Rothschild plan all along.

But also: “What Russia hasn’t done is speak out…..” about the “Israeli nuclear attacks”.

      Why would that be?

Biological attacks on Syria? What about Israel: “Pakistani Polio strain” in Israel,up to a million and a half children in Israel will be given Oral Polio Vaccine,a vaccine that is prohibited in the US(since 2000) and GB(since 2004) and maimed and killed 47.500 children in India.

You follow your line of “anonymous sources” pointing at an Israeli takeover of the world.

I follow my line of the Rothschild plan forcing Israel to blow up everything from Israel to China, and imposing Martial Law in US and Europe, something I predicted and explained for almost a year now.

BRICS+Israel against Rothschild and Rockefeller is the real confrontation and there’s not a lot contradicting that possibility,if it comes to verifiable facts on the ground.

After Shin Bet has eliminated 3 Rothschild Bankers for the post of Bank of Israel governor in 6 weeks, eliminated Weiner,,a very important Religious Zionist rabbi in Israel and uncountable more leaks against Rothschild Zionists,it will become more and more visible “Deep State” Israel is fighting Rothschild.

Snowden(BRICS+Israel operation)will cause mayhem soon, and you will have to find more “Anonymous sources” to support your theory.

Dear Readers, We are in the process of taking the Facebook comment window down as word is getting out that that is the best way to get around comment monitoring (aka Louis Gavin) and the trolls are getting back in. It’s position at the top is also inviting to them as our traffic reads those comment first. Also, Facebook does not really mind spamming is they can make advertising money from it. Because of our small staff we have to make sure that administering the comment boards does not become a time killer that diverts us from our core work, another goal of the trolls.

    • captain obvious  August 8, 2013 at 2:22 am

dont blame ya, as much for the troll thing and FB comments showing up first, also page loads are slowed a lot for “loading FB widget”. inability to see the source IP# of the comments not so much, theres proxy servers, and proxy server blocking firewalling apps too! FB already ID’d as a govt datamining op, so the more it gets its knees chopped at the better.

    • wolf  August 8, 2013 at 6:03 am

I think Tsurisa Feardon’s comment above put this shameless troll in his place quite nicely.

  13. Jim W. Dean  August 7, 2013 at 10:26 am

This is totally consistent with an ammo dump going up. You can clearly see that it was being shelled, with first started…which appear to have touched off the dump. The comment about ‘airburst’ munitions in the article I believe to be phony. No expert would say that because you can see that it was not.

That said, we don’t know if the rebels had control of this area and were able to mine it before they retreated, commonly done…and a horrible job for demolition people to have to do in to try to find and disarm those. What does surprise me is that the rocket fire seems to have accurate, and if Syrian troops were caught while say loading ammo onto trucks, one of those getting hit by a rocket could have set off the dump.

    • CoJonesGrandes  August 7, 2013 at 2:43 pm

So Jim, are you saying that this was NOT a nuclear strike?

    • Jim W. Dean  August 7, 2013 at 3:06 pm

Watch the video. Does it look like an air burst nuke explosion when the fireball erupts FROM the ground up, exactly as you would expect to see with an ammo dump going up.? Did you see a blinding flash of light which you always see with an above ground nuke blast? Did you see a shock wave emanating outward from the detonation point? Did you see the shock wave hit the camera crew and scare the crap out of them, and making the cameraman dive for cover?

So maybe we had a type of nuke that would not cause those things. Maybe they are testing out some new stuff in cities already cleared mostly of their populations. Our satellites will be able to confirm, if they want to, from their sensors.

The mini-nuke bunker buster in Damascus did have the flash, and there was no shockwave as it went off underground and went upwards from the crater, and it had lightning in the mushroom cloud, another symptom. Mini-nukes, one of their uses is for hardened targets as you want a light weight explosive to leave weight for the depleted uranium penetrator.

    • zmann7  August 7, 2013 at 3:56 pm

Thank you Mr. Dean for referencing the Damascus strike… jimstonefreelance did a pretty good write up about it as well. Especially how the bright flash completely pegged out the light meter on that camera.

    • Matthew.Boston  August 8, 2013 at 1:24 pm

Has there been anything posted online anywhere regarding a drastic increase or spike in radiation readings following these two detonations? I haven’t seen any, but haven’t looked too hard.
