Permanent war is official US policy. Obama is the latest in a long line of rogue warrior presidents.
He’s waged multiple direct and proxy wars. He’s done so throughout his tenure.
He has lots more death and destruction in mind. More on this below.
America’s culture is violent. It’s always been this way. It glorifies wars in the name of peace.
It has the highest homicide among Western nations by far.
Civilian gun ownership is out-of-control.
Proliferation leaves everyone vulnerable. Many inner city communities are virtual war zones. It’s unsafe to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
About 100,000 Americans are annual gun violence victims. Each fatality leaves two others wounded.
Countless others are irreparably harmed. Militarized cops make their own rules. They operate extrajudicially.
They brutalize and kill with impunity. Blacks, Latinos and ethnic minorities are targets of choice.
Nothing whatever is done to curb things. The right to bear arms assures using them irresponsibly.
It’s commonplace throughout America. It’s mostly because Washington claims a divine right to advance its imperium.
Michael Parenti calls imperialism “the process whereby the dominant investor interests in one country bring to bear military and financial power upon another country in order to expropriate the land, labor, capital, natural resources, commerce, and markets of that other country.”
America claims might justifies right to do it. To carve up whole continents for profit.
Destroying countries to save them. Raping and pillaging them. Stealing their resources. Exploiting their people.
Claiming exceptionalism and moral superiority. Forcing its ways on others.
Proliferating violence and instability. Doing it globally. Spreading the Big Lie about America the beautiful.
Benefitting monied interests over populist ones. Waging permanent wars in the name of peace.
“Pav(ing) The Road To War With (Big) Lies,” says Paul Craig Roberts.
Seeking world dominance. Replacing independent governments with pro-Western stooge regimes.
Risking war with Russia. Risking global war in the process. Threatening humanity’s survival.
On September 5, the White House Office of the Press Secretary headlined “Remarks by President Obama at NATO Summit Press Conference.”
He called things today “a time of transition (and) testing.” He claimed “NATO’s combat mission in Afghanistan is coming to an end” despite America intending permanent control of its Eurasian colony.
He irresponsibly accused Russia of “aggression against Ukraine.” He claimed it “threatens our vision of a Europe that is whole, free and at peace.”
He left unexplained Washington’s full responsibility for Ukraine’s crisis conditions. It’s wanting all former Russian republics and Warsaw pact countries made NATO members.
It’s wanting US bases encircling Russia and China. It’s wanting long-range multiple warhead nuclear missiles targeting their heartlands.
It’s wanting unchallenged first-strike capability. It’s risking humanity-destroying global war in the process.
America dominates NATO. It defrays 75% of its budget. It calls the shots.
It bullies, pressures and bribes less belligerent members to support its imperial agenda.
It wants increasing amounts for global militarism. Dominant NATO nations deplore peace. The Alliance’s mission is war-making.
Its Readiness Action Plan and Rapid Response Force target Russia.
The Russian Federation’s Foreign Ministry called its Wales summit “hardly surprising.” NATO “cannot change its genetic code by definition,” it said.
“(I)nterfering in the affairs of foreign states did not emerge yesterday or today.”
Summit results “graphically demonstrated that (US-dominated NATO) has been striving for military domination in Europe in violation of the agreements on the importance of a system of equitable and indivisible security for the Euro-Atlantic region…”
Washington and rogue NATO partners want “eastward expansion.” They want military might on Russia’s borders.
Its strategy has been around a long time. The Ukrainian crisis became pretext for greater implementation.
“(O)ur Alliance is fully united in support of Ukraine’s sovereignty,” said Obama.
America stole it. Ukraine is its newest colony. Neo-Nazi-infested fascists replaced democrats.
Don’t expect Obama to explain. Or that US-controlled Ukraine threatens Russia’s heartland.
Ot that NATO is a war-making alliance. An imperial tool. A freedom-crushing monster.
A machine for the manufacture of mass slaughter, destruction and human misery. It’s humanity’s greatest threat.
Obama wants NATO made a global police force. “(T)he door to (Alliance) membership remains open to nations that can meet our high standards,” he said.
They include willingness to wage imperial wars. Ignoring rule of law principles.
Crushing democratic values. Trashing human and civil rights. Serving monied interests over popular ones.
Being subservient pro-Western puppet states. Inventing enemies when none exist.
Supporting America’s imperial agenda. Risking nuclear war with Russia in the process.
Waging it assures war to end all wars. It means nuclear winter. It’s mushroom-shaped cloud denouement. It’s ending life on earth.
In 1998, US Space Command: Vision for 2020 discussed America’s grand strategy.
In 2000, DOD Joint Vision 2020 called for “full spectrum dominance” over all land, surface and sub-surface sea, air, space, electromagnetic spectrum and information systems.
It did so with enough overwhelming power to fight and win global wars against any adversary. Nuclear and other mass destruction weapons would be used preemptively.
In 1961, General Curtis LeMay believed nuclear war with Soviet Russia was inevitable. He wanted thousands of warheads launched preemptively.
He called retaliation against major US cities a small price to pay. At the same time, General Lyman Lemnitzer urged a surprise nuclear attack strategy.
Jack Kennedy stormed out of a National Security Council meeting discussing it. He wanted none of it. “And we call ourselves the human race,” he said.
Eisenhower warned against the military-industrial complex’s “acquisition of unwarranted influence. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist,” he said.
America is addicted to war. They rage one after another or in multiples. They’re not about spreading democratic values.
Or humanitarian intervention. Or responsibility to protect. Or eliminating terrorist threats. Or making the world safe for humanity.
America was never beautiful. It’s no “land of the free and home of the brave.”
It’s a serial killer. A war on humanity monster. An out-of-control rogue state. An ideologically over-the-top evil empire.
It spends more on militarism, barbarism and global wars than the rest of the world combined.
Former White House chief of staff/current Chicago mayor Rahm Emanuel calls it being “cold-blooded about the self-interests of your nation.”
Wars without end define America’s agenda. It lets war profiteers gorge at the public trough.
It empowers America’s lunatic fringe over cooler heads. It risks the unthinkable.
It risks turning planet earth into an uninhabitable wasteland. It proves higher intelligence does more harm than good.
Obama considers Big Lies about Ukraine, nonexistent terror threats, and letting NATO rampage globally “the right thing to do” for America.
Global millions want responsible governance. They want peace, equity and justice. They want what America wages wars to prevent.
