“Only the world’s international pressure is going to bring about a resolution, which would have to be favorable to Iran since Iran has done nothing wrong.”–James Fetzer

by James Fetzer and Press TV

Press TV has conducted an interview with James Fetzer, professor at University of Minnesota, about talks over Iran’s nuclear program and the statement made by US Secretary of State John Kerry that Israel’s interests will always be kept in mind in this regard.

US hypocrisy To view, click here: “US losing the world’s respect due to its hypocrisy in Middle East”

The following is an approximate transcript of the interview.

Press TV: What do you make of Kerry’s remarks in the sense of how will it be translated when the time for talks come? He is making these comments to AIPAC, as we mentioned the most powerful pro-Israel lobby in the US – and also trying to placate Israel’s fears. What do you make of that? Fetzer: John F. Kennedy thought that AIPAC should be qualified as a foreign agent – that it should be registered as a foreign agent.I’m afraid that all the NSA information this massive surveillance is acquiring is being sent directly to Israel, which means Israel knows exactly what weaknesses it can use to exploit, to extort, to blackmail members of the American Congress up to and including the president, alas.John Kerry’s remarks clearly appear to be intended to dissuade Israeli concerns, but they’re ill-founded in the first place. Benjamin Netanyahu has been claiming that Iran was about to get the bomb for the last 30 years.American intelligence agencies concluded in 2007 that Iran was not pursuing a nuclear weapons program, a conclusion it reaffirmed in 2011.

So it is ridiculous for America to be pursuing policies that are based on the presumption that Iran is pursuing a program it is not pursuing and that its own intelligence agencies have confirmed.

Press TV: What do you see in the coming days when the talks do happen? The Iranian side has said that they don’t want to hold talks for just talk’s sake – they want a win-win solution to this stand-off between Iran and the five permanent members of UN Security Council plus Germany? Fetzer: Well, Iran could agree to sign the Non-Proliferation Treaty and to allow inspectors, except it’s already done that. It would be very appropriate to have Israel sign the Non-Proliferation Treaty and to allow inspectors, which it has not done. Iran has no nuclear weapons. The policy of the nation is ‘nuclear energy for all, nuclear weapons for none’.

Israel, however, has a massive stockpile of chemical, biological and nuclear weapons it has never declared. American hypocrisy in the Middle East has never been more conspicuous and it is causing the United States to lose the respect of the world.

Press TV: So you would say that the US doesn’t really intend to have this stand-off resolved? Fetzer: Well, it would be very desirable. I certainly do believe that the phone call between Obama and Rouhani was a move in the right direction. But what could they expect to have from Iran that Iran hasn’t already given. It seems to me this is window dressing – a staged performance. It would be very nice if something were to come out of it, but I myself have no confidence in either John Kerry or Barack Obama at this point in time. Only the world’s international pressure is going to bring about a resolution, which would have to be favorable to Iran since Iran has done nothing wrong.

One hypocrisy after another…The Brits gassed the troublesome Kurds back in the 20’s….it was justified by churchill….Talmudia drops White Phosphorous on civilians….The US poisons entire populations with DU…we go to war based on false-flag terror events and lies…We go to war to build pipelines (TAPI ) and re-boot heroin production in Afghanistan which we ship to camp bondsteel in Kosovo…We sell Saddam gas to use against Iran but ( 15 yrs later ) act like it’s alleged use against separatists is unforgiveable though we killed over 1/2 a million people to keep the South from rightfully seceding…

  2. Jim Fetzer  October 15, 2013 at 3:39 pm

Well, whether or not Iran was working on nukes up to 2003, the 16 US intel agencies concluded in 2003 that it was no longer doing so; and they reaffirmed that conclusion in 2011. So I don’t quite understand your reasoning. This is like accusing an alcoholic who has gone on the wagon of still being an alcoholic since he used to drink!

Get serious. The supreme leaders of Iran have declared that the policy of Iran is to eschew nuclear weapons: “Nuclear weapons for none, nuclear energy for all.” Iran has done nothing wrong and is complying with the NPT. Only someone who was deliberately attempting to distort the truth would make this pitch. Disgusting.

People like this guy never mention that Israel has a vast stock of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons it has never declared. It has never signed the NPT and will not allow inspectors. It is not difficult to perceive his motivations, which have nothing to do with truth or the interests of the US or of the world. Unreal.

Those lives saved sure as hell were not Palestinian lives. Persia,( Iran) has not attacked any country in going on three hundred years. The ilegal state of Israel in its short history has attacked every one around them, sometimes repeatedly. They have attacked the US at least twice. I would feel much better about Iran having nuclear weapons than Israel.

” Given the nature of the Iranian regime that is a very positive development.”

Old wounds of where the US deliberately overthrew a democratically elected government and confirmed by the CIA by installing yet another “puppet” which later was rejected by the Iranians who have the “RIGHT” to govern themselves – does not make this a “REGIME”.

What of the US “REGIME’S” Who since Korean war alone have with its proxy dictators caused the deaths of over 10,000,000 people?

Israel like then as well as today, sold some of the weapons used in these mass genocides as noted by Norm Chomsky and John Pilger.

Just as in the Iranian Revolution where Israel transferred arms to iran’s regime (sic), so wherever there is death – Israel is there to facilitate those War Crimes. Just as recently a BBC documentary disclosed that Israel as the worlds 6th largest arms exporter sends arms in farming shipments marked as “Farming Implements” and due to country of origin those lethal murdering weapons are NEVER checked by Customs officials.

I will side with Iran. Where are these lives SAVED by Israel? Where all evidence also points to Israel and Saudi’s as both US Allies as being behind 9/11 and currently also behind the destruction of the whole Middle East with Treasonous SOB’s like John McQaeda who via arms violations and US laws of Patriot Acts, NDAA and Lugar-Obama Act destroyed Libya then moved those illegal arms to supply yet more “Rebels” Freedom Fighters who have slaughtered 110,000 in Syria.

Jim – there has been an interesting development in British politics in the last few days. It is probably the result of a cock-up – (or mistake). This event has not been publicised highly at all – and has happened during a ‘re-shuffle’ partially because of squabbling between the ‘coalition alliance’ of the Conservative party and the Liberal Democrat party currently in office together.

A chap called NORMAN BAKER MP (Liberal Democrat) has just been made a Minister in the Home Office – which is in charge of the legal system, the police and law and order. Mr Baker is on record as saying that he does NOT believe that top microbiologist and Iraq expert Dr David Kelly committed suicide – he firmly believes that he was murdered by the state! He also does not believe the official story about potential Labour leader Robin Cook MP, (Who resigned from the British Cabinet over the decision to attack Iraq) – who died ‘whist walking in Scotland’.

I do not know his views on 9/11 but it will be interesting to find out!! This is a highly placed politician who would feel at home as a denizen of VT.

    Very well said Jim.

All respect for the US was gone many years past. It has been replaced with the revulsion one feels for a child molesting mass murdering evil psychopath. At the end of WW 2, the US stood on the world stage not as an angel, but a common man with failings and a checkered past who in time of great need, had risen up as a hero. The people of the world, (not governments, all governments are evil, it is a matter of degrees), would have forgiven the past if the US would have kept on the straight and narrow. They did not, in fact they became more of a predator than before the war. I find most Americans to be weak, ignorant, self absorbed human vessels. Americans are going to have to pay a high price for allowing the depraved homicidal psychopaths in the US government run wild in the world.

    • john ccarleton  October 15, 2013 at 10:37 am

The US did not have to inter the war, and in fact should not have. The American people sure as hell did not want to. Twenty years earlier their sons, fathers and brothers, many who were killed or came back screwed up, mentally and physically, had gone off to help solve yet another European shit-fest. The people said screw Europe and their continual wars. FDR provoked Japan until they attacked, thereby fooling the American people into the war. The sad thing was that the US became infected with the sickness that has infected the European peoples as long as history gos back

    • captain obvious  October 15, 2013 at 10:38 am

yeah, blame the people for the actions of a District of Criminals that continually rigs elections and persecutes or kills truth tellers so their crimes go forever unpunished, thanks a bunch john.

    • john ccarleton  October 15, 2013 at 10:55 am

Twenty years back the American public could have reigned in the government with out bloodshed, but they did not because they were and are ignorant and apathetic. I know, for at least thirty years I have tried to warn people where we were heading and to tell you the truth, at least 95% could give a shit less. Yes the people are to blame, as long as the criminals they sent to DC sent their cut of funds back to them, forced out of their fellow Americans at the point of a weapon, they were happy. Most Americans today, as long as they have some wheels, a six-pack and some sex, could care less what the DC crowd are doing to the world or their children’s futures.

    • Jacqui75  October 15, 2013 at 4:54 pm

Daily Mail as a source of info….really??

    • williammartin  October 16, 2013 at 2:05 am

      So true.
I remember reading the Obituary of the Australian Code Braker who over 1+ years in advance knew of Japans plans.

Thus Americans were as Kissinger’s quote of being “Pawns” to garner support.

No different then when Japan’s Quake then Tsunami where many blogged, “This will get rid of those missed when US dropped atomic bombs and flew 1,000 additional Sorties burning to death 16 Square miles of Tokyo’s civilians.

Some love Wars and are quoted as not caring about how many are killed by US aggressions that in the end were based all on lies.

    • Ann  October 18, 2013 at 10:48 pm

Can you recall the name of the code braker?

  6. shachalnur  October 15, 2013 at 8:25 am

Not sure it is caused by hypocrisy.

US/Europe (Rothschild) strategy in the beginning of 2012 was clear: US will go for Iran, NATO-rebels(Europe) for Syria, Israel for Hezbollah.

Israel found out the US and NATO were not gonna follow through on that deal and leave Israel facing Hezbollah, Rebel-controlled Syria and Iran alone.

Israel switched to BRICS and the attack on Syria whithered.

Next try to blow up the Middle East was 6-7 Sept (Hebrew New Year) but was aborted as well by BRICS+Israel.

Since then US/Europe has lost control over Egypt because Saudi-Arabia and Egypt joined BRICS as well.

Now we are seeing the next effort, US talking peace with everybody, just to gain time, and in the meantime preparing an economic meltdown on US/Europe (and the world).

Rothschild’s strategy for the Middle East is toast and they have no other choice than to cut their losses and try to remain in charge of US/Europe. (Martial Law)

The option to blow up the Middle East through a false flag always exists, but BRICS+Israel will try everything to stop this.

Hungary’s moves away from the IMF, Rothschild Bankers and creating a debt free currency cannot be seen as a coincidence in the Global chess game.

Everything fits into the Rothschild against BRICS+Israel narrative. It’s invisible though, if you neglect this possibility.

    • Jim Fetzer  October 15, 2013 at 9:40 am

It’s not CAUSED by hypocrisy. It is a massive DISPLAY OF HYPOCRISY.

    • shachalnur  October 15, 2013 at 12:07 pm

But after Rothschild had 210 years advantage on the clock, BRICS+Israel have changed the game into Rapid Chess.

The fact that Rothschild is being outplayed inevitably makes the hypocrisy visible.

Rothschild will have to take the gloves off, so lot’s more to come.

    • Pink Rabbit  October 15, 2013 at 12:17 pm

China made deal to swap euros for the yuan remimbi with the European Central Bank 600 billion euros for less remimbi. Either China is in the cabal or Rothschild is dealing with BRICS. Sometimes I wonder if it is the Rockefeller arm that causes more trouble. Interesting video on Canadian central bank interest total paid double the debt over 35 years was 1974 to 2010 600 billion debt to 1.1 trillion paid ex Canadian finance video. ***http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEOU0Kc3T1Q.

    • shachalnur  October 15, 2013 at 12:32 pm

There’s a split on certain issues, or more, between Rothschild and Rockefeller.

A fast Dollar/Euro crash is not in BRICS’ interest.

Rothschild has to deal with BRICS, Rockefeller doesn’t.

    • shachalnur  October 15, 2013 at 2:21 pm

By the way ,the China-ECB currency swap was 60 billion Euro, which hardly covers the Chinese dildo exports to europe.

    • williammartin  October 16, 2013 at 2:12 am

I’m not sure where you find this BRICS + Israel at?

I’ve seen this posted elsewhere and the latest invite was Syria by China and a continued boycott of Israel for its racial genocides upon Palestinians.

      Could you cite your source?

    • shachalnur  October 16, 2013 at 7:33 am

The source is……. my head and a sword-shaped diagram in Jerusalem.

Israel is a Rothschild creation, a bit like Frankenstein’s monster.

When the monster found out she was disposable (June 2012,read first post above), she decided that in order to live she has to turn on her maker and join “the others”.

Deep State Israel is not stupid (many Jews know Rothschild doesn’t give a damn about Jews, he just uses them) and they know history, so switching to BRICS wasn’t that difficult. Israel, BRICS, Iran were ready for this eventuality.

Besides that ,it explains everything that is happening since June 2012,if you look at the facts on the ground, and ignore the rethoric and spin.

Right now,Rothschild hasn’t been able to put one of his stooges at the helm of the Bank of Israel, for half a year, for example.

Israel changed from Rothschild’s biggest asset ,to it’s biggest liability, and right now BRICS+Israel has the upper hand.

  7. Chandler  October 15, 2013 at 8:01 am

Iit’s Kerry. What can you expect? The entire clique of government is a hypocrisy. They try to figfure out how to get us into a fight. We citizens need a zero tolerance policy like we demand of our children in these public schools. But then again, there is another hypocrisy. Thanks Mr. Fetzer.
