Alla Pierce – Polish ambitions in global politics in 2017

…by Alla Pierce, VT correspondent

Alexander Powell, 1920, early in his 40-book career

[ Editor’s note: VT’s roving correspondent, Alla Pierce, has a challenging piece for us today, but a needed one, on the expansionist policies of the new conservative Polish government that has chosen the age old path of regional aggression.

This has brought it into the welcoming arms of the US’ undeclared war on Russia, not less so with the UN, which is threatening to void Poland’s voting power, due to its constitutional changes, which eliminate the democratic rights of the opposition for such basic things as street protesting.

And for now, the Polish government is playing a game of chicken with the EU, literally challenging its authority, demanding it be given an exception to the rule for the other members. Is this being done with political backing by the US in exchange for Poland rolling out the red carpet for NATO expansion towards Russia?

The current situation takes us back to pre-WWII days, with the heavy influence of the Polish colonels and their nationalistic expansion aggressions. With military funding from both France and England, Poland was planning to take back not only Polish-speaking areas of Germany, but also to attack Ukraine and take the three Baltic states… a full-fledged war, where they were brain dead about the death and destruction that would entail.

Former WWI war correspondent E. Alexander Powell, a prolific geo-political writer in the run up to WWII touched on Poland’s aggressiveness in his Thunder over Europe (1931).

“I am bitterly opposed to the policies of certain governments and of certain political factions because I believe those policies are dangerous…and will eventually bring on another war…The most discouraging feature of the whole business is the moral cowardice and lack of vision of the European statesmen.”

It seems not much — or not enough anyway — has changed since then. We still see supposedly free world leadership today that is not only a security threat to their own people, but to the rest of the world, with the US right in the middle of itJim W. Dean ]

Polish ambitions in global politics in 2017

Polish President Andrzej Duda

Polish President Andrzej Duda

While the world’s attention is focused on the key players in global politics, the other players tend to take a more defined position in their regions. For a long time Poland has conducted a competent, well-planned and quite successful policy on spreading its influence over the countries of the former Socialist bloc.

In 2006 a project was launched called “Poland from sea to sea”, implying that “the peoples of the Federation under the control of Poland should be extended” from sea to sea “, that is, from the Baltic to the Black Sea.”

In fact, such a project had already been put forward by Jozef Pilsudski after the First World War. And probably every Polish ruler dreamed about the revival of the Rzeczpospolita or any embodiment of it, but with the broadest maximum historical borders.

The President of Poland Andrzej Duda also stated his support to create a block of states from the Baltic to the Black Sea. This is understandable. If he didn’t, then he wouldn’t have achieved his position.

Many different programs operate within the frame of this project. The term “Small Polschizna” appeared and implicates the lands that border with Poland, where a significant number of ethnic Poles reside. Very active work takes place in the creation, development, to make the Polish religious-cultural environment predominant in these areas.

Look at the website “Polish Aid”. You can see the map that shows the countries that are a priority for Poland, such as: Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia. These are the most important geographical points of reference for the implementation of project “from sea to sea.” There are programs that are used to work with these countries.

However, we can only guess at what projects lie within the scope of “assistance to Ukraine” where training was given to fighters for the Maidan in military camps on the territory of Poland, as repeatedly stated by a member of the Euro parliament Janusz Korwin Mikke (Janusz Corwin Mikko).

Training and financing opposition in the above-mentioned countries, with an aim to disrupt the normal way of life, sew discord and chaos, lies the contradictions and hatred within countries on the principle of “divide and rule” and is only one side of the Polish-setting activities of its influence. At the same time the work on Polonisation of the population of these countries is gently but meticulously being carried out.

Although Poland seems to be far away from Moldova and Georgia, Warsaw has interests over there, and it shows. In Moldova, for example, Poland supports the establishing of information centers for local authorities, where they are taught how to conduct a “real democracy” in their country.

Georgia has a relatively high number of Poles that live there, caused by various historical events. So, in this country, the Union of Poles in Georgia, Polish Educational Center, polish school and other different fellowship, centers and associations successfully operate.

Union of Poles, Grodno

Union of Poles, Grodno

In Belarus, the situation is different. There are many Poles living in this country. In Grodno province, Poles make up about a quarter of the population. So, in RB active work winning people’s hearts and minds by Poland is intensively carried out towards all prospective age groups, and in all fields: educational, cultural, economic and information.

At the same time, Catholic churches suddenly began opening in the eastern regions of Ukraine in places where the Polish population is low.

I am receiving personal e-mail messages with information that in the cities of the eastern part of Ukraine catholic churches began holding services in Polish, using speakers, so the resonant voice of the Catholic faith is heard widely across the area. And this is where very few Polish people live. Poland supported, financed, and trained those “innocent students” in Polish military bases.

Although the talks about returning four Ukrainian regions back to Poland was initially conducted since the first days of the Maidan uprising, they were not very focused or affirmative. Now the project “Ukraine” goes right to the end. The goal was reached: now Russians kill Russians. The Russian Federation has an armed aggressive enemy on its borders. Whatever could be stolen in Ukraine has already been stolen. Warsaw had its interests in this game and the time is now to achieve its goals.

Alla with Armenian soldiers during the recent fighting with Azerbijan

In this regard, it seems no coincidence that the movie “Volyn, directed by Wojciech Smarzowski which dramatically increased the degree of hatred for Ukrainians was released now. The Volyn tragedy is one of the most terrible pages of history.

It has to be remembered by both Poles and Ukrainians in order to prevent this happening again. But why was this movie released now? Why for so many years Poles didn’t talk about that hellish chapter, through which their fellow compatriots perished?

This link is to the article that describes 362 ways that Ukrainians murdered Poles and other nationalities. Hairs will stand on end when you begin to read it.

At the same time we can’t help not to ask the question: how is it that the young generation of Poles do not know about these atrocities perpetrated in 1943? Maybe because they didn’t need to know it in order to support the Ukrainian Maidan uprising and fueled by Russophobic propaganda? How many Polish mercenaries fought and are still fighting in the Donbass?

During my trip to the frontlines, I was told by some Donbass defenders about the horrors Polish mercenaries do to prisoners of war. Who are these Poles who, encouraged by Bandera’s slogans, disembowel living humans in the Donbass because of their hatred towards Russians?

Why are the descendants of those who suffered the most brutal sadistic genocide taking part in the genocide of the Russian people in Donbass under the same slogans and banners, under which their compatriots were massacred?

Aside from the emotions, we can state that major political actions preceded the formation of public opinion. In July 2016 the decision of the Polish Sejm adopted a resolution on the recognition of the Volyn tragedy as genocide carried out by Ukrainian nationalists against Polish citizens and established a National Day of Remembrance of the victims.

This decision creates the legal basis for filing compensation claims and returning lands. The first lawsuits have already been filed. Ukraine has no money but still has the territory. [1]

Why would Poland need the problematic areas of Ukraine, even as compensation? Just because in one period of history it belonged to Poland? As the matter of fact those lands were not always Polish. For example, Lvov, which Polish people consider their own city, was named after the son of the Galician-Volyn prince.

Why would Poland, whose economy survives on subsidies from Brussels want to head Intermarum and take responsibility and shoulder the region with economic problems, aiming to become a key player in this region?

new-silk-way-hubs Pierce2

The world’s largest global project is a new Chinese Silk Road, One Belt One Road, bearing investments and benefits from trade and transit to countries through which it passes. Look at the maps.

The Baltic countries, Moldova, Georgia, Belarus, Ukraine, and Slovakia – all Intermarum countries could be involved in this large economic project. We can see on the map the favorite Polish city of Lvov as the one of the points on OBOR.

For the key players who will manage and control the region, this presents not only economical possibilities, but also opportunities to influence the process of global politics.

Today, one of the objectives of Warsaw, integrated into a global policy of Washington is cutting off the EU market from the Russian Federation and furthermore to prevent the creation of a Russian-German union, aiming to weaken Russia by any means.

Therefore, while Poland is taking the vassal of the US position, it will always put a dent in the works of any projects contributing towards the development of Russian-European relations, even to the detriment of its own national interests.

_________

Lech Kaczynski

Lech Kaczynski

Polish politicians who elect a more constructive way of development for their country and stand for closer ties with the Russian Federation end up getting suppressed one way or another.

The death of the Polish politician Andrei Lepper, the leader of “Self-defense”, was not accidental, as well as the arrest of Mateusz Piskorski, right before the NATO summit. He stands for good neighborly relations with surrounding countries and requires Poland getting out of NATO and threatened to publish a book about the murder of Andrei Lepper.

There is also an interesting version of events regarding the death of President Lech Kaczynski in an airliner crash over Smolensk as most likely another “false flag operation”, which occurred after Kaczynski, who used to be a rabid Russophobe, evolved towards rapprochement with Russia. Kaczynski, for all his negative aspects, stubbornly defended Polish national interests.

The plane crash over Smolensk is an obvious “false flag operation”, but the liquidation of an “uncomfortable” president is not more than just a “bonus” to the real motivation and goals of this operation. However, with an absence of irrefutable evidence, each version of events has its own right to exist, as well as the one in which the pursuit of sovereignty can be paid by losing one’s freedom and life, especially for those who act for a rapprochement with Russia, or to support, oh My God, the dictator Lukashenko, as Andrei Lepper did.

intermarium-469x300

Would Poland be able to achieve regional leadership? The experience of the Visegrad Group shows that this is quite doubtful, given the contradictions between these countries.

Besides, the strengthening of militarist rhetoric of the Polish government orchestrated from overseas and the destructive policy in relations with Russia do not coincide with the interests of the countries of the potential Intermarum.

For instance, Moldova, in which Poland seeks to increase its influence determines its course of integration with the EAEC and Non NATO as we can see after the recent elections.

The West doesn’t need a strong Poland. It certainly received a green light for the destruction of Ukraine and Belarus, and its participation in the expulsion of Russia from the Black Sea region and its role in the distribution of Russophobic attitudes is encouraged. However, through purchasing power and influence in the region, Poland will increasingly act in its own national interests which will be considered a threat by its masters of today.

Besides, a significant sector of Polish people, as we could see during recent protests in Warsaw, do not support their own government.

The failed Polish “Maidan” showed how strong contradictions are in Polish society.

The political opposition in government and the public opposition on the streets have their differences. Nevertheless, with this level of internal problems the situation in the country can hardly be called healthy. Taking into account external and internal reasons the geopolitical appetite of Poland will highly unlikely be fully satisfied.

________

[1] In the past, Poland has repeatedly speculated on its own compatriots’ protection in an order to achieve its geopolitical ambitions. On March 17, 1938, Poland issued an ultimatum to Lithuania with the requirements of a convention, which guarantees the rights of the Polish minority in Lithuania. If the ultimatum was rejected Poland threatened to occupy the whole of Lithuania within 24 hours.

On the 21-22 September 1938 – Poland sent a note to Czechoslovakia with a demand to solve the problem of the Polish minority in Cieszyn Silesia and then an ultimatum about adding the land with the Polish population to Poland. In October 1, 1938, Czechoslovakia ceded to Poland a region where the Czech population was 60%. “Operation Zaluzha” began on October 2, 1938. Poland occupied Cieszyn Silesia and some settlements in the territory of present-day Slovakia.

“There is one chapter in the history of Poland concerning the attitude of the Poles to the prisoners of war. These were soldiers of the Red Army taken captive during the Soviet-Polish war. The exact number is unknown, but according to the Polish sources, about 100 thousand Red Army servicemen
were captured, and part of them (16–18 thousand) died in prison. According to the Soviet and Russian sources, these are conservative estimates: out of 157 thousand captive Red Army soldiers 60 thousand died from diseases, starvation and bad conditions.” [2]

The Poles had a peculiarity, too: ethnic Germans among the Red Army servicemen were shot down on the spot.

Andrew, the main motivation to promote the Pan-Slawian-movement has two bases. One is the orthodox-church, which designed every ritual, holy date, language in opposition to the catholics. Another one is the polictical aspect. It is easier to sell war, if you are separated and different from the enemy. To send you, Andrew, an Eastern-Germanic, or a probable Varangyan (Waräger = Viking), into war against Germany, it is easier, if you are called a Slaw and determined apart from the Germans.

Her mother is a Pole, Trakkath, but there was never a real evidence for Jewishness. You produce more evil Jews than we have people on the planet. And according to the Edda, the Europeans did not need Jews to become Jewish minded, means to be obsessed by the greed for gold.

It should not be forgotten, that Poland stole – with help of the Western Allies and Uncle Joe – one quarter of Germany, i.e. Silesia, Pommerania, East and West Prussia in 1945. Ten millions of Germans were violently expulsed from their centuries-old home land (Heimat) – two millions of them died. These were territories with no Polish minorities. When in history did such an expulsion happen ? Besides this, the Poles were always megalomaniac.

    • Edward Longshanks  January 4, 2017 at 7:18 am

Poland is the illegal Christian Israel of Europe.

  5. Jaffer Jamil  January 2, 2017 at 10:20 am

The narrative changes somewhat if one looks at the Poles as the last remnants of the related Wend & Sorb people. Early German expansion in Central Europe has been at th expense of the Wend & Sorb. The Pole, after adopting Catholicism, tried to outdo the Teutonic Knights in the Northern Crusades against the Baltic people.

    • Edward Longshanks  January 2, 2017 at 8:00 pm

Jaffer, check the history, your aspect is not the case. The Poles were one tribe of 20 others battling for the Eastern German plaines. The so called Slawic/Slawian tribes (Slaws do not exist) were located more in the north and the East. What you quote is the Teutonic order, who attacked Eastern Prussia and the Baltic States. Read the wording of the most famous German tribe beside the Bavarians. Prussians = (P)Russians. The church allowed to attack and conquer all heathen countries. This was the reason Iceland introduced Christianity to avoid occupation. The German word for slave is Sklave, it comes from the Latin word sclavi, sclavorum, a plurale tantum. The church stated every heathen, captured, as a slave, which is less than a bondsman. The European nobles started crusades to take slaves. That means Slaw is a simple description for heathens. They were slaughtered by the Christians as the central European Germanic heathens like the Saxons were slaughtered before. The content i posted here, is facing a harsh debate in Russia, and deals with the opposition by the powerful pan-slawian movement. But, pardon me, the pan-slawian movement is a total nonsense.

    • Jaffer Jamil  January 4, 2017 at 11:19 am

@ Edward Longshanks good information. (Don’t know how to post below your post). Agreed, the Pan-Slavian movement is complete nonsense! Other than linguistic similarities, they don’t have the same racial makeup. Though the presence of Germanic tribes is preceded by Wend & the Sorb – a people related to the Poles. The Sorb exist to this day in SouthEast Germany. The Wend, for their part were assimilated by the Germanic tribes (in Central Germany and the Norse in Norway/Sweden. Even the Sami of the extreme North refer to the Wend as being the main inhabitants before they were subjected to wholesale slaughter. The Poles too were targeted, until they adopted Catholicism. After which they too happily joined the Northern Crusades against the Baltic people. FYI, my sympathies are with the Baltic peoples.

    • Edward Longshanks  January 4, 2017 at 4:13 pm

Jaffer, this is the same debate like with Mr. Greenhalgh about the difference from British to German tribes. 6000 years ago (200 generations), the Channel did not existed and the Baltic Sea was a closed up sweet water. The Sami are related to the Hungarians, both talk in Finno-Ukorian languages. Both were the only white Nomad cultures.
There is no real differences between Russians and Germans. German tribes came always from the East. Bright (blue) eyes came 8000 ago into history, originated in the area of Belo-Russia. Of course, If you have a look into the face of the most remarkable living politician, Mr. Putin, you see a very small part of Tartar impact. It is logical, because the Russians live more close to Siberian-Asian tribes. For our Central European awarenss, the more accented cheekbones of Russians make the faces of male people a little more similar and the females more pretty. In comparison watch Mr. Duff’s face, the ideal picture of an Anglo-Saxon Warrior with a little Norman impact. But in both mens genes is negligible quantity of differences.

    • Jaffer Jamil  January 4, 2017 at 11:56 pm

Agreed their women are stunning. I was getting scholarships to study any topic in Russia/Soviet Union, which I skipped. Later my feelings would be similar to “Oh Absalom…..would that I had died for thee”

Since you brought it up. At one time, the Black Sea to the Baltic through the Ukraine was one big navigable waterway, till at least 3500 years ago. Over what is now the Don. It gradually dried up & continued to be a swamp through Attila the Hun’s time. The last remnants of the swamp were drained during Katherine the Great’s time. This would explain the “continent” of Europe.

As for the Russian ethnogenesis, we cannot discard the considerable impact of the Scythians, who intermingled with the many Finno-Ugric people in that region. Some of whom, like the Karelians, Mari and few others, exist to this day. Over this came the Hun Confederacy, comprising of many Slavs. By the time, the Germanic Rus, arrived, those people had evolved a Slavic identity. The Rus are said to have come from Kiev. They formed the ruling class, gave the land and people their name, but adopted the Slavic classification fo themselves.

Regards, Mr. Putin, he appears to have Finno-Ugric blood-lines, rather than Tatar or Mongol. I have met Mari and they tend to be slim, as opposed to the broad Mongols & the tall Tatars.

    • Edward Longshanks  January 5, 2017 at 7:43 am

Jaffer, those small impacts (in the example of Mr. Putin) are meant in a real small sphere. We are conditioned to be aware of the differences, we do not “see” what we have in common.
The inpact of the Scytho-Sarmats reached definately Central-Europe, no doubt about this. You find them in the Edda as the Asen, Æsir (Asiens), the Wanen, Vanir were the European Indigenes. The Æsir-Vanir War resulted no decisive victories. After many battles, they decided to spit in one bowl of soup. Means, they merged. You see, your proposed differences disappear.

    • Edward Longshanks  January 5, 2017 at 7:55 am

And, Jaffer, about Mr. Duff, i have no idea about the history of his family, it is not my business, to care about his private sphere. But watch his face and his shape, looks not like a Roman legionary. On the Iberian peninsula we have many remains of the Visigoths, Arabians, Phoenicians with each expression…..and the indigene Iberians. In Greece we might have still 2% Hellenics, the rest is a Levantinian-Turkish mixture. But back in antique times, you see the statues of the Dorian and Corinthian culture, they were former Central-Europeans.

  6. JohnZ  January 2, 2017 at 6:25 am

So Poland demanded better treatment for Polish minorities living in other countries yet it ignored the German communities and the people trapped within it because of the dreadful Treaty of Versaille. The German city of Danzig lay trapped inside Poland where atrocities against German nationals were common.
Despite Hitler’s attempts to aid those people, the Polish government, under influence of London and Washington refused all attempts
Does Poland want to end up the way it did in 1939?
Talk about aggressive postures….this could lead to a very bad end for Poland. Those people are whack jobs.
And as for the Catholic Church, well,, they are simply doing what they have always done: sown the seeds of hatred against any it considers an enemy . The last time they were involved in such led to a great massacre between the Hutus and Tutsis
I do not see any improvement in international relations anywhere. In fact I see growing distrust, hatred and increasing militarization.
One does not need to speculate too deeply as to who is involved in all this. After all their motto is all about deception and war.

    • JohnZ  January 2, 2017 at 6:31 am

You just can’t make this stuff up.

  7. Andrew_Bukanov(Russia)  January 2, 2017 at 4:30 am

We do not have very good relations with Poland. Too often there sound nationalist slogans, breaking the monuments to Soviet soldiers-liberators (600 thousand Soviet soldiers gave their lives for the liberation of Poland from the Nazis). Probably not in vain Winston Churchill called Poland – hyena of the West against Russia. In terms of militarism, they do not represent any threat, but the rhetoric of its authorities are often rude. We told the Poles and the Hungarians that their joy over NATO facilities on their territory can only mean one thing – to get Russian missiles fly fastest. History teaches nothing of the Poles. Very sad.

    • JohnZ  January 2, 2017 at 6:27 am

Are the Poles really that stupid or just insane?

    • Andrew_Bukanov(Russia)  January 2, 2017 at 1:38 pm

JohnZ – i can’t say they are all such. I have no right to claim smth. about all nation. You know it, probably, better than me – how modern politicians change history and put rotten seeds in the new generation’s mind. Sure, there are many good people. But their voice is not heard. As we say in Russia: Each herd has a black sheep. Hope someday smth change. People create people, as we say, and another tasks we will gain on the way to the truth. Russia and Poland historically had and have problems. But the firestarters are 99% – Poles. Offended syndrome.

    • Edward Longshanks  January 2, 2017 at 7:36 pm

The Polish army went deep into the Ukraine aiming the Black Sea. The Sovjets needed a lot of time to reorganize the defenses and the following counter attack. The Sovjets were able to drive the Poles back to Warsaw, but in sight of the capital the Red Army had to accept a major defeat. So the Sovjet Union lost territory, the border was shifted 250 KM to the East. This area (today Belo-Russia, Weißrußland) was taken back by Stalin in 1945 and he gave the Poles the Eastern German provinces, except the half of Eastern Prussia with its capital Königsberg (Kaliningrad). The Poles were always keen to get it back and more, as described in the article. They will provoke another justified ending of the illegal Polish state.

You are what you do ! Poland is a typical jewish gang bang and they never succeded, since they have no Nation but are wander who jews !

Ariana, Last I heard there were not many Jews in Poland. Did I miss something?

    • JohnZ  January 2, 2017 at 6:30 am

Jim, Might be something to look into, especially if they have strong ties to israel.

    • Ariana  January 2, 2017 at 9:16 am

Jim W dean, we talk about wander who jews , meaning they have access to Germany and act there as needed and than they are in Hellaviv playing the role of settlers and if needed they travel to US for voting and part time they help ISIS, if they are young.

Dual citizens with many passport and roles . Poland is part of KM as it is German elite and the same in France , in one they are political elite in the other they are financial troops and in the 3rd they are both.

A mobile cabalist socieety , nowhere a home but evrey where at service . HARD TO DISMANTEL THEM; THEY HAVE MANY NAMES AND TITLE . In Germany the jews are alow to use nicknames and ending almost always with MANN e.g miclmann , Silkmann and many othe manns !

The deception is the fist lessen in war accademy, you may please get one original from the Zions protocol written by alfred rosenberg ! The jew, who stole the protocole and made copy of them, he was executed in nürnberg for treson !

No wonder , you see the jews and you don’t see them , like their proxis , fighting in Syrian than transported to Yeman by turks, you se them here and you see them there ! Please conect the dots !

In germany the §80 StGB is deleted since Jan. 1st, 2016 which forbide an attacking war for germany. Now we are again the culprit if they attack Russia or any other country. It was only allowed to defend the german homeland.

Mr. Dean how many joos cover their path with name changes and converting to christianity ? For example the Jesuits ?

    • Edward Longshanks  January 2, 2017 at 7:05 pm

Ariana is wrong and Mr. Dean correct. The Brits, ruled by Jews, decided the existance of Poland. Most of Polands former Jews are in the US, Israel or in the La-Plata region.

  9. Edward Longshanks  January 1, 2017 at 4:08 pm

This article is very reluctant. In the net docu “die große Kriegslüge”

    https://youtu.be/ydhU0q9PJes

you find a map of nationlist polish groups at 32:47 where Poland is expanded till Hamburg. Poland ordered the mobililsation of the army several month before Hitler (Fall Weiß/Case White). Poland never gave up the eastern (Russian) provinces Stalin took from them, which were occupied by the Poles in the polish-sovjet war in 1920. The West must still sadly regret the failure of Chancellor and coward Helmut Kohl. Yeltsin, bancrupt, offered the Russian part of Eastern-Prussia to the Germans for money. Kohl rejected the offer, because he feared debates about the Polish part of Eastern-Prussia. Now, fortunately, it is the thorn of Russia in the flank of Nato’s deployment zone. Poland never was a teamplayer, they got from Gerhard Schörder the Thatcher bonus, only to pay the half duty into the EU budget. It is sad for the Poles that they are not blessed with smart governments. They will have to pay it in the future, and will become betrayed by the US, as they were betrayed by the Albion perdide and the Frogs. Poland expelled 1,4 Mio. Germans before WW2 and more than 10 Mio. after WW2.

  10. Trakkath  January 1, 2017 at 12:23 pm
