Bitter Harvest: Stalin’s genocidal famine on the big screen?

An small Canadian film company has just released Bitter Harvest last month, a romantic-drama film about Stalin’s war of extermination through famine, 1932-1933. The famine is historically known as Holodomor.

This is indeed a first start. As we all know by now, Hollywood produces at least two or three Nazi movies virtually every single year, and Germany is always the villain that needs to be expunged. Col. Chester Phillips says to his soldiers in Captain America: The First Avenger that they need to “escort Hitler to the gates of hell.”

Well, Hitler is no longer around, but Germany is. And obviously the purpose of those Nazi movies is to beat the German people over the head and tell them how wicked they are. As Daniel Jonah Goldhagen perversely argues in Hitler’s Willing Executioners, virtually no German is innocent. But Hollywood producers and people like Goldhagen will never have the moral and intellectual courage to release a fairly accurate movie about Stalin’s war of extermination. Why?

Obviously because a Stalin movie would ruin Hollywood’s reputation as a propaganda machine. It would challenge viewers to do more research and to find out who the perpetrators were. Hollywood doesn’t want the masses to know the truth, therefore they constantly bombard them with false information and distractions so that they can never ask deep questions about the past and important historical events.

Philo-Semitic historian Niall Ferguson himself declares that the Soviet war of extermination was unparalleled in history, starving millions of men, women and children to death. But who were the real perpetrators?

Well, Hollywood producers will not tell you the answer to that question any time soon. In fact, they will do their best to keep you uninformed and misinformed. But let us allow Jewish writer Sever Plocker to answer that important question for us:

“An Israeli student finishes high school without ever hearing the name ‘Genrikh Yagoda,’ the greatest Jewish murderer of the 20th Century, the GPU’s deputy commander and the founder and commander of the NKVD.

“Yagoda diligently implemented Stalin’s collectivization orders and is responsible for the deaths of at least 10 million people. His Jewish deputies established and managed the Gulag system. After Stalin no longer viewed him favorably, Yagoda was demoted and executed, and was replaced as chief hangman in 1936 by Yezhov, the ‘bloodthirsty dwarf.’

“Yezhov was not Jewish but was blessed with an active Jewish wife. In his Book “Stalin: Court of the Red Star”, Jewish historian Sebag Montefiore writes that during the darkest period of terror, when the Communist killing machine worked in full force, Stalin was surrounded by beautiful, young Jewish women.

“Stalin’s close associates and loyalists included member of the Central Committee and Politburo Lazar Kaganovich. Montefiore characterizes him as the “first Stalinist” and adds that those starving to death in Ukraine, an unparalleled tragedy in the history of human kind aside from the Nazi horrors and Mao’s terror in China, did not move Kaganovich.

“Many Jews sold their soul to the devil of the Communist revolution and have blood on their hands for eternity. We’ll mention just one more: Leonid Reichman, head of the NKVD’s special department and the organization’s chief interrogator, who was a particularly cruel sadist….

“Turns out that Jews too, when they become captivated by messianic ideology, can become great murderers, among the greatest known by modern history.”[1]

Bitter Harvest

Obviously that is one reason why Hollywood has never bothered to produce a fairly decent and accurate movie about Stalin’s war of extermination. And even Bitter Harvest is not without its political or ideological shortcomings.

Producers of the movie are of Ukrainian origin; they and the actors seem to be aware of the political tensions. After the movie was released, producers and actors were implicitly admitting that they were trying to draw viewers to the idea that Stalin and Vladimir Putin were almost two sides of the same coin.

But the unarticulated and unconvincing connection doesn’t work precisely because Putin himself denounces the former Soviet Union. In fact, he said that the largely Jewish government “were guided by false ideological considerations and supported the arrest and repression of Jews, Russian Orthodox Christians, Muslims and members of other faiths.”[2] “Thankfully,” he moved on to say, “those ideological goggles and faulty ideological perceptions collapsed.”[3]

Now Putin would have to be either morally and intellectually sick or completely deluded to praise and denounce Stalin for his immoral act at the same time and in the same respect. If New World Order agents want us to believe that Putin is directly or indirectly completing the work that the Bolsheviks left behind, then we would invite them to present solid evidence for this extraordinary claim. They cannot just summon the stupid idea that Russia invaded Crimea and then deduce that Russia is either like Stalin or Hitler. They need to do a better job.
