Russia: US Attack Nearly Triggered Nuclear Holocaust

“If Syria had used Russian air defense systems in response to the US missile attack, it would have triggered a nuclear conflict. Yet, it was only the composure of the Russian Commander-in-Chief that made it possible to avoid a nuclear conflict,” Sergei Sudakov, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Military Sciences said.

America’s Syria strike ‘on verge of military clash’ with Russia – PM Medvedev

The US attack on an airfield in Syria has been conducted “on the verge of a military clash” with Russia, Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said, adding that President Trump has been “broken by the US power machine” in just two-and-a-half months.

The prime minister stressed that to pursue this goal, the US is eager to act “in a tough contradiction with international law and without UN approval, in violation of its own procedures stipulating that the Congress must first be notified of any military operation unrelated to aggression against the US.”

The missile strike in Syria has revealed that the current US administration lacks independence and hangs on the Washington establishment that Donald Trump used to strongly criticize during the presidential race and his inauguration speech, Medvedev added.

“Soon after his victory, I noted that everything would depend on how soon Trump’s election promises would be broken by the existing power machine. It took only two and a half months,” Medvedev wrote.

“Nobody is overestimating the value of pre-election promises but there must be limits of decency. Beyond that is absolute mistrust. Which is really sad for our now completely ruined relations. Which is good news for terrorists,” the prime minister concluded.

On Friday, the US carried out a missile strike on the Shayrat airfield near Homs in response to an alleged chemical attack on a rebel-held town in Idlib province the blame for which Washington has immediately pinned on the Assad government. The strike has been condemned by Iran and Russia with Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov saying that President Putin “regards the strikes as aggression against a sovereign nation,” in violation of international law, “and also under an invented pretext.”

Damascus has explained that the Syrian air force bombed an arms depot where chemical weapons had been stockpiled by Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) and Al-Nusra Front militants.

Russians in a bad spot. Trump is insane. He’s an absolute maniac. I think Putin is thinking the same thing. The Russians have to ask themselves, is Syria, at this point in time, worth getting into a war. I think they chose wisely, as much as I’d love to see them protect Assad, who I personally find likeable and completely support.

I think the Russians are wisely assessing and analysing Trump and will probably all agree on certain points or lines in the sand that they will not bend on and then be ready for possible war with the US. They’ll do it on their terms when they’re ready and prepared.

Americans are wild and are seeking war. The media is whipping everyone up against Russia, propaganda never higher save 1963. Russians know it’s coming and will avoid this idiot President and his warpigs until such time as a Russian collectively agreed upon line in the sand.

This is pretty dissapointing. 23 out of 59 and yet Russia did nothing but evacuate. The other intel agencies might have taken advantage on this info and claim that Russia took down some of the Tomahawks and that only 23 reached target. It isn’t like Tomahawks carry folks on board so Russia also could have claimed that other 36 were downed and only 23 reached the base. Russia is playing a dangerous propaganda game here and although I don’t doubt honesty of their army leaders and forces, they don’t know or don’t try to attempt to realize with what kind of intelligence monsters they are dealing here with. Calling Netanyahu is just not going to work, it will be like calling and reasoning woth Kiev personnel before Yanukovich is about to be banished from the country and eventually had to be extracted with special forces. The Syria base might have been destroyed also as a strategy against Lebanon with Homs being very close and all that.

Then again this may mean that Russia knocked out 36 Tomahawks out with Electronic measures. That will make someone crap their pants! Think about it. It may be that every single missile that flew near Russian facilities got taken out by ECM. Only the ones coming through Jordan and Turkey in deep mountain valleys made it through. That could mean, and it is a big if, that Tomahawks are fairly useless against Russian targets!

If the Russians did indeed knock them out by various means they are unlikely to broadcast that fact. They don’t strike me as being the type of people to tip the enemy off it that way. Sow some doubt and keep the US guessing is a much more likely strategy and certainly fits in with what they have said to date.

We wonder how many more cruise missile strikes will it take against Syrian targets, before Russia decides it might want to use it S-400s to protect Assad’s Syrian forces? Or to put it another way, is Trump free to attack Damascus as long as he doesn’t directly threaten Russian assets? Just trying to follow the logic of this article.

      I second that.

…and after all, the world knows Bibi told them that “Tel Aviv and Moscow has an understanding that the Talmudis will attack when ever possible”…

Trump has displayed his total lack of intelligence in ordering this attack on many levels. He does appear to be mentally impaired as others have claimed. Congress should begin impeachment proceedings immediately lest he destroy the whole planet. Better yet arrest and jail him without bail until he can face a trial for war crimes against humanity. He already killed kids in Yemen. Luckily the Russians demonstrate much more restrained and intelligent behavior than fool Trump does. This shows the dismal failure of democracy. The U.S. is headed over a cliff unless this lying fool is removed from office soon.

Very good video. Everyone should watch it. Trump is a pathological liar and cheater and bully. He has had his chance and failed and sold out all his supporters and made enemies like Russia totally foolishly and unnecessarily all based on lies. He is an arrogant ignorant egotistical fool to put it mildly without using expletives. Now we all know the true Trump and must act accordingly toward him. Shame shame shame….on him for selling out America and lying to everyone. Impeachment must begin ASAP.

That clip is excellent. Trump might actually see it too, because it’s on twitter.

      Thanks for sharing
