Biography
David Ray Griffin is emeritus professor of philosophy of religion and theology at Claremont School of Theology and Claremont Graduate University in Claremont, California, where he remains a co-director of the Center for Process Studies, which is oriented around the science-based philosophy of Alfred North Whitehead. In addition to co-editing the corrected edition of Whitehead’s major work, Process and Reality, he has published 36 other books. Most of these are in philosophy, philosophy of science, philosophy of religion, and theology. But 12 of them are about 9/11. His 2008 book, The New Pearl Harbor Revisited, was named a “Pick of the Week” by Publishers Weekly. In 2009, New Statesman named Griffin one of “The 50 People Who Matter Today.” He has twice been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.
