CARTES & IDentification , organized by a company Comexposium, was a large event having approximately 20,000 attendees and exhibitors. It was held at the large exhibition center in the north of Paris at Villepinte.

An old brown metal suitcase pictured on a beach was the 59th Film Festival held in the seaside city of San Sebastian, Spain from September 16-24, 2011. It is the largest film festival in Spain and attracts attendees primarily from Spain but also from Europe and USA. What was the reason that a suitcase was chosen for the theme? It was because watching films implies going on a trip which takes us to new places where we experience new adventures.

In Paris, we call Black people “Black” instead of the French word for black “noire.” Companies must hire a small percentage of their staff as handicapped people. Consider the handicapped and disabled Veterans. There is discrimination against them in the work force even if they can do the jobs better than others.

Didier Lambert and I received invitations as journalists for Veterans Today. We were told to come at 7:30 p.m. for the awards ceremony which stated at 8 p.m. By 7:45, the place was packed and we went to the front lines to get a good look at the people who would be on the podium. People were talking about the event and professional photographers were setting up their cameras.

Every two years, SIAL ,the world’s largest food event for professionals in the food sector, comes to Paris. This year SIAL , the global food marketplace ,was held from October 17- October 21 at Paris Nord Villepinte which is easily accessible by suburban trains. It was held during France’s transportation strike, but one out of two suburban trains ran. SIAL provided free shuttle buses for visitors from Charles De Gaulle Airport, Porte Maillot in the north of Paris and Montparnasse in the south of Paris.
